In this issue: RELATIONSHIP REPORT FOR BARACK AND MICHELLE OBAMA
Is any relationship in America more interesting right now? Okay, yours is. To you. As it had better be. People like you, curious about your closest relationships, stand to gain a lot from Relationship Reports. Many of you have no idea what these are like. Yet you can easily learn to do them, and perhaps this article will inspire you to start doing your own. Relationship research is one of my favorite kinds of reading to do. All you need is a photo of any two people who have a relationship. With the Obamas, let's indulge in a pre-presidency Relationship Report while we can. The photograph I will use on Mr. and Ms. President-Elect has served as a cover photo for Ebony. Click away and read along! Besides showing their faces well, this picture really looks like them. Always base a Report on a photo that actually looks like the people involved. Wacky out-takes are for Special Features on Videos, not Relationship Reports. Also, this particular Obama photo may be the best digit (not just digital, digit) photo I have seen of anyone. More about this aspect soon.
For Barack and Michelle and your gazillion close buddies across the globe: In this Relationship Report I will comment on three different aspects, Body Language, Face Reading and Aura Reading. For this Zine, each part is a separate article. Body Language: Nonverbal messages of body language and expression. This team is such a team. Often the nonverbal messages for a couple are mixed, like head pointing toward the partner but feet tilting away. This Obama team shows complete congruence, total commitment. Barack has leaned with his head and shoulder, as well as touching with his head, shoulder and back. Lucky he has been introduced to this woman! Seriously, all this positioning may be the photographer's idea. But one need not be much of an expression reader or aura reader to tell that you are extremely comfortable with the person who receives all this leaning and touching. One subtlety here involves physical emphasis. Zine Reader, you may notice it most easily if you pretend that you are inside Barack Obama's body (definitely a treat at the time of this photo). Or perhaps you might prefer to stand against a wall, being yourself, imitating Barack's physical stance. Soon you will feel the meaning of the body language. Although this photo angle highlights "leaning on, turning toward," Mr. Obama actually stands upright on his own, very self-contained and balanced despite the apparent leaning. Try it. This combo takes a very developed inner coordination. Michelle, like her husband, easily balances the physical posture of engaging with spouse while staring with clear focus at the photographer. This body language shows how comfortable both newsmakers have become with handling public attention. Neither is so adoring that he/she can't tear eyes away long enough to look at the camera. Nor do they favor the camera over paying attention to spouse. (To see how that looks, check out this Blog post, aura reading a famous pair of newlyweds, legally married in 2008 but perhaps not for long. Here Michelle leans toward hubby with face, hands, torso. She supports him with her upper body, with chin thrown in for good measure. (When was the last time you found it necessary to touch someone with your chin?) But the really fascinating part is her hands. Was it the photographer's idea? Or hers? Either way, Michelle's hand positioning reveals that someone has exceptional physical-level creativity. And Michelle definitely deserves points for comfortably posing this way. It's a very complicate hand mudra. See what I mean about a fine digit photo?
Honestly, if someone were to pat you on the front side of your shoulder area, which would you prefer, some dull wad 'o fingers or a big, spread apart, 5-fingers + palm push? Expect thoroughness from America's new first lady. The next part of our Relationship Report on the First Couple will continue with Face Reading. But first... FACE READING SECRETS OF THE OBAMAS
What surprises await us with this Relationship Report? For Part 2 of 3, we're basing comments on my system of Face Reading Secrets® and reading the First Couple at the time of this photo. Face Reading: How long-term character shows in the physical face. Each bit of face goes with a talent and a potential challenge. (I’ll note the latter with a question mark, because it may have been overcome by now.) Both Obamas have: Huge Inner Ear Circles. In our photo, you'll see this characteristic most easily in Barack's left ear and Michelle's right one. Those ears really emphasize the area flaring out from the ear hole. By contrast, the portion between the outer edge and the ear border – the Outer Ear Circle – is relatively small. TALENT: Inner principles, beliefs, and assessments matter more than external actions. Actions serve to support those principles, beliefs, and assessments. Recently I received information from a reliable friend that paid staff on Obama's election team were required to do yoga or meditation or some other spiritual practice every day before coming to work. The choice was to be personal, made by each individual. What mattered was that the person made and followed this choice. That fits perfectly with the talent of Larger Inner Ear Circles. Potential Challenge: Disappointing the fans? Americans don't expect extra-big Inner Ear Circles in a President or First Lady. Most people have equal proportions, inner and outer. For presidents, Americans have historically favored candidates with Huge Outer Ear Circles, just as we have tended to value outer strength over inner sensitivity. However, the times are a'changing. Both Obamas have: Straight Chin Bottoms. Barack's is more of a VERY and, due to the camera angle, easier to spot. But Michelle has this chin shape too, even when her face isn't smooshed (technical term) into her husband's shoulder. TALENT: For the wearer of such a chin, decisions are based on principle, not convenience. This attribute supports the focus on inner reality that I just described about ear proportions. Potential Challenge: Putting principle over people? If the Obamas were religious fanatics, or locked into any other kind of rigid ideology, it could be horrifying that they both have straight chins, especially given the aforementioned ear proportions. However, B & M appear to live with idealism more than ideology. Moreover they seem to balance their idealism with being highly pragmatic people, which facially shows in… Eye Angles, Right Eye. (Remember to cross over, as if shaking hands, to tell left from right on another person's face. That includes when you face read a photo.) Both Obamas have: A very slightly up-angled right eye. To spot this, compare the position of the inner and outer corners of an eye. For Barack and Michelle, the outer corner of the right eye is just slightly higher. TALENT: The right side of a face relates to that person's style with career. Given a presidential lifestyle, that means speeches, policies and public appearances of all kinds. Remember how often during the presidential campaign, even while Democrats led in the polls, the Obamas told cheering crowds words like this? "Don't take winning for granted. We still have to work harder." And you thought it came from their mouths! Actually, it could have been their right eyes talking. Guarded optimism about career – that is the talent corresponding to a slightly up-angled right eye. I know it's not what you might expect from Barack, given his silver tongued oratory. But if you had the kind of X-ray perceptiveness that revealed what, deep down, a person expects, rather than what he aims for, you would look him straight in the right eye. As a face reader. Potential Challenge: Aiming low? This potential challenge would be a greater risk if both eyes were just slightly up-angled. But noooooo. Eye Angles, Left Eye (Remember to cross over, as if shaking hands, to tell left from right. Do this whenever face reading a photo.) He has an: Even-angled left eye. Again, compare inner and outer eye corners to find eye angle. And relish this characteristic for Barack Obama, because it's a rare treat. Just how rare is it, having an even-angled eye? If you're talking humans, only 1 in 2,000 people can boast this particular attribute. But if you're talking U.S. presidents, guess what? George Bush #1 had it, and so did Bill Clinton. You couldn't ask for a better presidential attribute than an even angled-left eye. TALENT: Shrewd and realistic assessment of what really is – that's the meaning, and since it is a left eye, the realism is a core value rather than a public skill. Deep down, that eye owner know exactly what's going on. His/her mind is a hype-free zone. Potential Challenge: Deep down, Obama may become quite disgusted with what feather-brains most people are, compared to him. Possible? Yes. Likely, given his aura (discussed in Part 3 of our Relationship Report)? No. She has a: Very Up-Angled Left Eye, not quite as up-angled as Laura Bush's but still way up there. About 95% of humanity skips through life with some degree of up-angling in that right eye. Having such a great difference between inner and outer corners counts as a VERY for Michelle. As Face Readers know, VERY is the 5,000-year-old term for "Extremely important if you want to understand what makes somebody tick." TALENT: With that eye angle on her more personal eye, here is what I expect for Michelle Obama: Uncommonly high expectations. What she expects, deep down, are the very finest possibilities. Potential Challenge: Will idealism run rampant? In personal life, it may be impossible to have too much idealism, but for political leaders, one does hope for just a smidge of realism. Fortunately, this challenge is less likely for Michelle than for Laura because the latter has two VERY, VERY up-angled eyes. Michelle has just one and, as you know, the eye more related to her style with public behavior is only slightly up-angled. Thus, she is more likely to suffer from the second potential challenge of that extremely up-angled left eye: Personal disappointment. Reality fully meets the expectations of a VERY up-angled eye only on special days like Christmas, Birthday, and Winning the Presidential Election. In Part 3, we will finish the Obama Relationship report with an Aura Reading. Meanwhile other Kindle editions of my other books can be found here. AURA READING THE NEW FIRST COUPLE Here comes the third part of our Relationship Report of the Obamas. So tear your eyes away from that digit aspect of the digital photo here and keep me company reading their chakra databanks. With this part of the Report, as all the others, feel free to add your insights at this part of my blog. Aura Reading: Long-term, wonderful gifts of the soul and temporary blockages, both, are revealed in the parts of an aura traditionally called "chakras." After decades of aura reading, I discovered that every major chakra contains 50 databanks of information. Each databank contains a gift of the soul and also, often, emotional and/or spiritual blockage. I call this blockage STUFF to put things in perspective. It's important to know that STUFF can always be healed. "The Reality I Live in" Databank at the Root Chakra For Barack: Mr. "Audacity of Hope" really is a believer in the best that can be. In contrast to the previously mentioned facial characteristic about exceptional realism for assessing life situations, President-Elect Obama also has the rare gift of a strong, conscious spiritual connection. Maybe you, too, have had times when you felt a clear and strong connection to God. Even if this lasted just a few minutes, you know how it made everyday reality seem pretty sweet. Welcome to Barack Obama's world, where this happens on a regular basis. For Michelle: Power is not a frill for this woman, nor does her power depend upon what happens in an election. (Remember, this photo was taken before Election 2008. See that question mark after the headline, "America's Next First Couple"?) Instead, Michelle has always related to life as a mover and shaker. Noticing her present circumstances is just the beginning of "Let's find out what can be, because I am an effective person and I don't quit until I get results." "Connection to Spouse" Databank at the Root Chakra Whenever a wedding takes place, auras shift and change. I described this a bit in a chapter in Aura Reading Through All Your Senses. Now that I've learned to read databanks within chakras, a bigger discovery about weddings is how they install a set of seven major "Connection to Spouse" Databanks. The one being read here is representative of the whole set. I happened to choose the Root Chakra version because this impacts most strongly how a couple behaves. In the coming years, surely behavior from the Obamas will be studied extensively by observers worldwide.
"Presenting Themselves as a Couple Façade" Databank at the Throat Chakra Does everyone need to wear a façade? In the words of a candidate not in this photo, "You betcha." Façades are about as optional as skin. You have 'em, like the Obamas and everyone else you know who is human. For every relationship, people have a façade, which is a version of your own identity projected out to others. Think of it, if you like, as an advance telegraph or email announcing that you are entering the room. I figure, as long as we're covering complete sets bestowed on a couple, we should include one of the "Presenting Themselves as a Couple Façade" databanks. This set of seven does not require signing up for a bridal registry at any department store. In fact, this one set doesn't even require a marriage ceremony, only admitting to oneself that one is in a love relationship. Sometimes in Relationship Reports (and elsewhere) you'll find that the less eager half of a couple has no "Presenting Myself as a Couple Façade" databanks, only "Presenting Myself Façade." This sure becomes a problem for the partner who is more in love. But the Obamas don't have this problem, and I've chosen the Throat Chakra databank because it affects most directly how they speak in public.
"Moral Development and Soul Age" Databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra In 2008, I chanced upon this databank while doing a session of Aura Research for a client who has had dozens of sessions. (You could call her my Muse of Chakra Databanks.) The language I use to describe Soul age seems like human age but, of course, isn't.
(This fascination is one of the simplest ways to tell, through behavior, how evolved a person is. Younger souls take satisfaction in stereotyping. More mature souls struggle with learning to respect each person's free will. Eventually, a soul stops struggling and starts learning… about each amazing universe-in-a-box, otherwise known as a distinctive human being.)
So here we have another person deeply committed to being a world server. Even though she has come in as female this lifetime, last time she didn't. And in lifetime after lifetime, Michelle Obama has been learning about power. She is also a very old soul, not as ancient as her husband… but he is really a rare one. CONCLUSION This Relationship Report has described an uncommonly positive relationship. Here at Earth School, people always have problems. Often, they have relationship problems, because that is one of the major educational programs being pursued, chosen in that person's Life Contract. The Obamas have taken on a very different Life Contract. They are now positioned to make a very big difference -- and take on huge problems -- as world servers. Their solid, stable, nurturing relationship will help to sustain them through those challenges. Perhaps, like me, you are curious about their two daughters. What kind of people are they?
