MEDIA FUN

Online you can peek at “Face Reading in Cincinnati” in Whole Living Journal.

Rose also had an article in Whole News in Richmond.

In the mainstream press, Rose was interviewed by reporter Liz Doup in the Florida Sun-Sentinel for a story that appeared on Feb. 24.

With radio, Rose did a two-hour interview with Rob McConnell on “The X-Zone,” reading faces and auras for listeners in Australia, England, Canada and that really exotic country, California.

ZINE PREVIEW: EYE COLOR

Doreen Virtue is one of my favorite metaphysical writers, so I was immensely honored when she emailed me to ask for an interview.  For a book on "Goddesses and Angels," she wanted some comments about reading eye color and hair color.

Naturally I pleaded with her to consider something deeper about faces.  If you’re familiar with my work, you know I have always avoided commenting on color.  I figure, people are plenty aware of color without needing any help from me.  And so long as folks only look at color, they’ll ignore the really informative data.

By reading less noticed face parts, like noses, ears, cheeks, jaws, etc., there are such useful insights about how a person deals with power, sex, work, ethics, handling money and more. Why stop short at color?  Sure it’s pretty.  But at best color can tell you only about surface personality.

Still, I yielded to Doreen’s insistence and charm. She was asking about color on angels, so perhaps this context would help readers avoid the biggest pitfall with color—racial prejudice.  Really, have you ever heard people saying anything like the following?

“The other day I had a crystal-clear visitation from my Guardian Angel.  But once I saw her, Euuuuuuw!  I didn’t want her help.  She asked why, and I said, “Duh! Like your skin is so the wrong color!”

THE OVERVIEW

Well, so as long as I’m putting color-reading information out into the world, I’d like to give it first to you, my cherished zine readers.  Here it is, long before Doreen excerpts my comments for her latest book, due to be published in October.

For people, face data is symbolic—for angels, even more so.  All of us are primarily energy beings.  Angels, however, never fail to know it.  So the form that an angel takes for your benefit will have great significance.  Every aspect of that angel’s appearance will be meaningful—size, clothing, jewels, body, face.

To dwell only on coloring is to miss more in-depth information, which you can easily learn to read in the face itself, from chin to ears to cheeks.

Besides, if you’re curious about any aspect of your angel’s appearance, guess whom you could ask?  One of the main benefits of contacting any of your angels is guidance, isn’t it?

Back at coloring, whether eyes, skin, or hair, angelic or human, it brings information just about surface personality.

Eye color reveals a way that would help someone else to connect to you.  This holds true whether the eyes you are reading belong to an angel, a human friend, or your pet cat.

Hair, by contrast, reveals a pattern for projecting YOUR personality to others.

Check out your intuition.  What do eye and hair color mean to you?  Then read on.

Eye Color

Yes, eye color reveals a way that would help someone else to connect to you.

Blue eyes:  Connect to this person by discussing ideas.  (Don’t go straight for the mushy stuff.  Keep your cool.)

Green eyes:  Connect to this person with your emotions or energy.  (In this case, don’t try to be cool.)

Brown eyes:  Connect to this person by revealing your human self, especially showing you’re down to earth, e.g., move in a way that demonstrates strong physical awareness.  (So if you’re one of those spiritual seekers who lives a short distance from your body, before starting the conversation try coming in for a landing.)

Hazel eyes:  Eyes like these are a mixture, so see what they combine.  Brown and blue? Brown and green?  Connect to this person by using what you learn from the mixture, e.g., for brown and blue, alternate discussing ideas with showing yourself down to earth.  (To make things really simple, let the other person take the lead in conversation.  Then prepare to shift around fast as a pinwheel.  By the way, if you’re curious, I’m among the hazel-eyed, which may help you understand why I edit my books for years, smoothing out the quirky transitions.)

Grey eyes:  Connect to this person with all the sophistication you can muster, because here is someone who values subtleties.  (Don’t worry about being seen right through.  As if pretense would protect you!)

Yellow-flecked eyes:  Yellow flecks symbolize intense passion, but whether it’s inspiration, stored anger or some other kind of intensity, you’ll find out most reliably by reading the person’s aura.  (Whatever you learn, avoid giving your own power away.)

COACHING SESSIONS AND CLASSES

Now that we’ve praised your eyes, let’s put in a word for your God-given talents as a face reader, aura reader, maybe even an empath.

How can you best develop those talents?  Use them.

It’s far easier than learning a skill like playing a musical instrument, because the required coordination is built right into your soul.  All you need do is give that coordination a little encouragement.  You’ll make enormous progress if you’ll explore Celestial Perception for just 10 minutes a day.  Make up your own techniques or use some in those how-to’s I've written.

To paraphrase what one of my students said recently: “Books are great. You can go exactly to the parts that interest you, read fast or slow.  To a thinking person, books will always be better than audiobooks and DVDs.”

Classes can help, too.  If you live in Cincinnati or Seattle, mark your calendar now for loads of workshops I’ll be giving out your way come April.  Closer to home, I’ll be teaching “How to Spot a Liar” a two-and-a-half-hour workshop here in Virginia.

Otherwise consider phone coaching.  These sessions are available wherever you live.  In many ways, they’re superior to taking a group class.  You bring your intention, move forward at your own pace, with examples all related to YOU.  Unlike a class, if we encounter a block within your own aura that makes learning slower, we can stop everything else and facilitate moving that block away once and for all.  Empaths and aura readers (even face readers) find phone sessions really help them move forward fast.

Face readers, don’t forget the Correspondence Course.  You can take as many of the pieces of it as you wish, not having to take the full set of three required courses plus one elective.  For each lesson, you do a short assignment that challenges you, email your creation to me, then schedule a personal mentoring session.  These are the most inexpensive one-on-ones I offer--$100 for an hour.  Details about the Correspondence Course can be found on my website.

To book an individual Coaching Session, book it like a personal session (click here for details). Then, when we send emails back-and-forth to schedule our appointment time, let me know what kind of coaching you’d like.  At the appointed time hold onto your chair, not just the phone receiver.  You’re in for a galloping ride.

BRAND NEW KNOWLEDGE:  HAIR COLOR

You bet, tresses are social.  All about style!  Go into a really great hair salon and you can almost taste the social deliciousness.

Love it or hate it, hair makes a statement about your personality.  Does this mean your hair is your “crowning glory”?  Hope not.  I stand here believing that your aura has more to it than the fanciest hairstyle.

Nonetheless, to the sociologist, semiotician or otherwise socially aware person—Gee, now even to a face reader—hair is full of meaning.  Every aspect reveals social information, from the intended “hairstyle”… to the degree of messiness vs. neatness… to color.

Only a real hair expert can keep track of all these social nuances.  But color is a fine place to start, if you must read hair.  Just one last time, I’ll protest—to Doreen Virtue, to all of you—Why read something relatively trivial when it’s no harder to read faces and auras?

Okay, let’s bravely go there.  Straight into hair.

Brown Hair:  Personality excels at expressing physically awareness, seeming coordinated, earthy.  The related kind of sexiness expresses being physically aware, sensuous.

Blond Hair:  Personality excels at expressing innocence, freshness, an easy-breezy style reminiscent of the wind.  The related kind of sexiness expresses being hard to get.

Red Hair:  Personality excels at expressing energy, intensity, fire and (maybe you’ve noticed) a temper.  The related kind of sexiness holds the promise of passion.

Black Hair:  Personality excels at expressing knowledge.  With a young soul, there might be an attempt to project sophistication by categorizing or stereotyping people.  With a mature soul, one may feel the accumulated wisdom of many lifetimes.  Either way, the hair color tells you: “Don’t try to put anything over on me.  I’ve seen it, done it, know it.”  The related kind of sexiness shows sophistication (and, for someone who actually has had a fair amount of sexual experience) great finesse.

Grey or Silver:  Personality excels at expressing wisdom, including spiritual seeking.  So don’t pluck out those first grey hairs.  The related kind of sexiness puts physical love in context with Divine love.

Bald:  Here is the no-frills personality.  Whether baldness comes in a patch or covers the whole head, the meaning is “Accept me without pretense.”  And what can be sexier than unabashed self-acceptance?

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, with hair there is no conclusion.  That constantly growing head floss is ever-changing, like all aspects of pop culture.

Because hair expresses only the social side of your personality, at least changing its color won’t bring forth huge inner consequences like a nose job or super-sizing your lips.  So hey, if you feel compelled to tint your hair a different shade each month, this face reader says: Go for it.

One fun-loving friend of mine used to play tricks on her husband’s hair, cutting it in the middle of the night.  One morning he woke up to discover that she’d streaked a huge swath of it purple. You’ve got to wonder which to admire more about this man, his loyalty to wife or being able to sleep so soundly!

BESTSELLER AT LAST

The good—and amazing—news is this.  I’m finally a bestselling author.  Now comes the funny part: In Germany.

Yes, the German edition of Aura Reading Through All Your Senses, “Die Aura erkennen—mit allen Sinnen” has sold close to 40,000 copies for Random House Germany, which makes it a bestseller.  Having a translated book become a bestseller is especially unusual, according to my foreign rights agent, Loris Essary.  Of course, having any book of mine become a bestseller is pretty unusual, far as I’m concerned.

Needless to say, I can only read this book of mine with a very big dictionary and about a week of time.  No good scan of this title is available.  But in case you would like to see a Rosetree Celestial Perception book with a German hairstyle, click on this link

Meanwhile, in England, my books are now available online through Tesco.  The American equivalent of Tesco would be something like the union of a big supermarket chain plus Seven-Eleven (those stores for the desperately hungry at gas stations). Then, throw in an online bookstore and there you have it: the Compleat Tesco.  Now I’m there, too.  How funny is that!

However, one of the best things to come from my recent trip to England was that I entered into a special arrangement with an online bookstore that I like way more than Tesco. Check out Life of Enchantment.  With this labor of love, Mark and Cheryl Clements have developed a reputation for choosing the best of the New Age.  Their online store reflects this simple philosophy: They stock only items they themselves would care to buy, and then sell only for what they consider a fair price.

At this point, readers in the U.K., anywhere in Europe and beyond, can order my online books from Amazon or Tesco.  You can also purchase directly from Gazelle, my European distributor (which is what libraries would probably do—so don’t be shy about telling them about). But…you’ll find the best deal on my books at Life of Enchantment.  Plus, they’re autographed before being shipped "across the pond." Cheers!

PUT WHAT IN YOUR BRAIN?

Ready for a technology experiment so simple you can do it at home?  Try this one. I t could save your life.  Plus, there’s a moral for all Highly Sensitive Persons.

The experiment starts with the curiosity of my British friend, Carol Scott.  Mobile phones gave her a headache and so did the family’s wireless phone.  Here comes Carol’s brave inner achievement.  Like any sensitive who picks up subtle information unknown to so-called “normal” people, she had two choices: Either she could blame herself for “being silly” or she could honor her self-authority.

Choosing to do the latter, Carol devised an experiment.  The headaches, she felt, came from subtle damage to her aura.  That electro-magnetic energy field is where health and illness, both start.  Cell phones and wireless phones emit electro-magnetic energy.  If this similar kind of energy was damaging to her aura, shouldn’t there be some way to physically tell?

Aha!  She remembered a machine never far from our thoughts in this postmodern age.  How about TV?  That processes electrical and magnetic energy, doesn’t it?

So Carol turned on the telly, then put a call through on her cellular.  Holding it next to the TV, between the side of the TV and her phone she could hear an extremely loud hum.  It burst forth like a robin in springtime, only considerably more ominous.  This sound developed because of interference patterns between the two machines.

Live wireless phones produce a smaller (but still unpleasant and very audible) buzz when placed next to a TV.  Regular telephones with a receiver don’t do this, which makes old-fashioned phones by far the healthiest choice of the three types of calling devices.

Why don’t people usually notice disruptions to their auras from cell phones and wireless phones?  They could, of course, read their auras before and after making a call.

Normally, Carol reasoned, people don’t do this.  Nor do we consciously feel the transmissions go into our heads.  We’re way too busy talking.  In case you ever suspected you had more between your ears than empty space, this is reassuring… except for the part about possible damage to your brain.

Will long-term exposure bring on neurological illness?  Brain tumors?  Guinea pigs are everywhere, but you need no longer volunteer. Read here that the Chairman of the Independent Expert Group on Mobile Phones and Health recommends “a continued precautionary approach to the use of mobile phone technologies.”  That is, I assume, educated Brit-speak for “Watch out, you sillies.”

Carol puts it very elegantly: “Switch to an old-fashioned phone when you can.  Use that cell-phone wisely, just when needed.  Just keep those calls short.  Who cares if your phone plan gives you free minutes?  Will medical care decades from now be free, too?”

Here’s one final tip from Carol Scott.  If you must use a wireless phone, place it on “Speaker” setting.  Then that nasty hum near a TV will turn way down.  What resulting noise can you now almost make out with peripheral hearing?  It’s your brain, whispering, “Thank you.”
