If you've checked my home page lately, you know that I'm sponsoring a Bill Bauman workshop this April, augmented by a free intro the night before.  When did you last see me sponsor someone at my home page?  Never!  So, gee, why would I now do that? 

Long before I had a website (during a career that has spanned more than three decades) I could count on one hand all the people I sponsored.  That included Bill Bauman, sponsoring him for the first time back in the 90's, when he gave his first workshop for the World Peace Institute.  

To solve the mystery of why I would sponsor Bill now (and for an unprecedented career record of sponsoring anyone twice), let's read his aura.  

Many of you who receive "Reading Life Deeper" have learned to read auras in depth and detail from regular photos.  Go ahead now and read Bill first from this photo located on his website.   Post your comments and observations on Lisa Wechtenhiser's Blog "A Healing Path."  (I'll be reading!)  Needless to say, my reading of Bill's aura is just one of a gazillion possible readings.

If you haven't yet learned to read auras from photographs, you can find how-to instructions in Let Today Be a Holiday, page 104, or in Empowered by Empathy, pages 204 – 210. 

New zine readers, keep in mind that the colorful aura photos sold at psychic fairs and elsewhere, although entertaining, are hardly necessary.  I can read any person for whom you can supply a photo, whether yourself, a sweetheart, or someone at work.  You can learn to do the same, and maybe you already have. 

Which of Bill's databanks will I choose to read at various chakras?  These days I choose from some 50 databanks per chakra.  In the following reading, I'll name the chakra, then the databank.  (By all means, add other databanks when you do your own aura readings of Bill and post them on Lisa's blog.) 

Root Chakra:  First Impression as a Person

This man is not particularly impressive.  He's downright hard to notice.  

Although grounded, Bill doesn't spend much time or attention on what he might call his "cute" little human personality.  A small slice of his awareness maintains his everyday personality.  There, he's nerdy, interested in fairness, and strongly capable of both power, love and spiritual light.  Along with being a caring person, Bill isn't mushy.  Actually, here's something stronger than his emotions: A huge, rather impersonal, interest in learning about people and how they evolve. 

Connoisseurs of reading auras of people who are spiritually enlightened will find that this particular spiritual teacher fits the Bill.  

Most notable, though, comes a startling surprise to people who understand what it means to be an empath. 

Right at that "first impression" databank, it becomes obvious that Bill is exceptionally talented as an empath.  The aura of any born empath (which means 1 out of 20 Americans, incidentally) will seem to "flicker" in consciousness, moving with hummingbird speed in and out of other people's auras, then back to self.  

Bill does this at a much faster rate than other empaths I've read, and he also moves out into the other person's aura more completely than most empaths do.  Yet more alarming (or wonderful, depending on your perspective), Bill routinely moves in and out of the consciousness of many people at once.  By contrast, most empaths just move in and out of one other person's identity at a time.  

And, take it from me, for most of us, that's plenty.  

Bill certainly has a lot of fans for someone so charisma-free.  Let's keep reading his aura and maybe we'll find out why. 

Root Chakra:  Ability to Connect with Other People 

Bill's aura reveals that he connects to people by choice, one choice at a time.  This fascinates me because most people show something so different at this aura databank.  Most human beings have a kind of friend-seeking reflex where we connect automatically to everyone within view.  In fact, most of us desperately need to connect with others so that we can feel happy. (For example, think of those studies on aging that correlate healthy aging with having a large number of social contacts.)

By contrast, Bill appears to be perfectly happy when all alone with himself (however he defines that; his aura implies that clear experience of God is included in what it means to be Bill Bauman.)  Not needing others is part of Bill's pristine quality of detachment.  

Within that experience of personal contentment, evident at this root chakra databank, Bill has created through habit some inner circuitry whereby he switches on a personal connection by means of love.  Imagine a light switch that can be turned on or off.  Bill's aura here indicates that he intentionally switches on a power of loving connection with each person with whom he chooses to relate. 

Belly Chakra: Creativity as a Healer

Since Bill will give a workshop in April on "Expanding Your Healing Gifts" here in Virginia, it seems only fair to read his databank about Creativity as a Healer.  Strong mechanical ability shows.  It's as though Bill enjoys constructing machines to "reach" different people, a unique structure serving to help each individual.  Picture a maze where he and the client start off united at the outside, then can travel together to the client's goal at the center. 

Note: I take a very practical implication from this pattern in Bill's aura.  It confirms what I've experienced, attending his workshops over the past 18 years or so.  If you have ever gone to one of Bill's workshops, you're familiar with the fascinating introduction opportunity he gives at the start of a workshop.  I've never seen Bill omit this part, even if it takes hours.  Each participant gives a brief introduction, with the chance to include an intention for the workshop.  

Now, consider what I've just noted about Bill's ability to design a way, through consciousness and creativity, to move into the aura or need of another person.  Many workshop participants express undefined intentions, such as "I just want to be here and hang out with Bill."  That's sweet!  Certainly there's nothing about Bill's aura to suggest that he lacks sufficient creativity to take initiative.

But I'm one of those workshop participants who has learned to bring Bill a very specific wish list, including requests that might be physical, psychological, or spiritual, etc.  Every single time, there has been healing for every single area where I have requested help.  

Reading this component of Bill's aura, I understand better how this is possible.  Therefore, if you should attend any of Bill's workshops, might I suggest that you experiment with bringing a specific set of intentions?  Let him construct a labyrinth to each goal where you would welcome a miracle. 

Solar Plexus Chakra: Power Style When Teaching 

Surrender to the Divine – this is a lively component of this fascinating, strong part of Bill Bauman's aura.  His analytical mind and sense of humor are also strongly present.  Most intriguing, I also notice an exceptional quality of Divine protection. 

Heart Chakra: Personal Connection with a Student

Oneness is the most distinctive quality here.  Helping a student, Bill joins most strongly through the heart.  

Doing this, he joins as himself, i.e., a person who feels fully supported by the loving presence of God.  I also notice, encoded at this chakra, a gentle invitation.  While merged with a student, Bill invites that student to open up to a kind of experience which (in the student's terms) would translate into experiences like self-acceptance, self-esteem, and self-love.  

Heart Chakra: Emotional Connection to Humanity 

For someone who makes so many jokes, and has humor encoded in so many parts of his aura, this chakra is a real shocker.  Here I find nothing less than a solemn vow to serve humanity and to give "whatever it takes."  

Throat Chakra: Verbal Integrity 

Yes, Bill wins points for honesty.  Unlike most celebrities, New Age or Old, Bill is essentially the same in public as in private.  The main difference is having his personality projected a bit louder while he's in public.  

When reading auras, I'm always on the lookout for unresolved issues or problems, for which I have coined the highly technical term "Stuff."  At this databank on Bill, I find the only bit of Stuff in the entire aura reading: Ambivalence about speaking in public, being in public, etc. 

You know how life can be compared to a spiral staircase? For any human being, certain difficult issues will come up again and again, at higher levels, as the person evolves. From this part of Bill's aura, I gather that he has repeatedly shied away from having to present himself in public.  Each time his following grows significantly, he must make peace with the new size of his fan club.  At this time, it isn't an active issue, but it does show in this databank that Bill has overcome past struggles on this theme.   

Just to be clear, I read that Bill is perfectly happy to demonstrate who he is.  Talking about it -- that is what may, in the past, have caused some discomfort. 

Throat Chakra: Joking Style

Four motivations are key to activating the sense of humor that shows in this databank:

Absurdity: From Bill's expanded state of consciousness, he can choose to laugh "little" troubles to death.

Healing: As appropriate, Bill will send jokes to move out energy that is stuck, in him or in others.

Choice: Just as Bill often makes the choice to approach people with love, rather than other motivations, sometimes he chooses to laugh rather than deal with other people's annoyance, resistance, embarrassment, etc.

Sensibility: Deep (and also not that deep) within Bill's Inner Child there dwells a keen sense of the ridiculous.

Third Eye Chakra: Connection to Source

God is there.  This databank in Bill Bauman's aura is definitely fun for any empath to experience, unless the empath is an atheist.  (It was to experience third eyes like Bill's that I developed the Darshan technique from Empowered by Empathy.) 

For anyone, it's fascinating to read about that person's highly individual path to the Divine at this databank.  Bill's clearly involves devotion and service.  

One more reason to read this part of Bill's aura, however you decide to do it: Could you be looking at your own future? 

Third Eye Chakra: Ability to Help Others Connect to Source

Here is where Bill's aura shows hooks.  How unusual is that!  I've read auras where people had hooks in their power circuitry (common in coercive people, whether done for business or pleasure) or in their sex appeal databank (think poor Brittney Spears) or in their root chakras (useful for someone who plans to be a demagogue when he grows up).  

To interpret the meaning of hooks in an aura, use that brilliant principle from real estate: Location, location, location. 

What does it mean when someone already strongly connected to God contains the ability to connect people to his own experience?  

Hmm, would you consider this a good thing?  I would.  The technical term for what Bill offers here is "Contact high." 

High Heart Chakra: Qualities of Soul

Even if you already know a lot about auras, you may not have learned yet about the importance of reading the high heart chakra.  Sometimes known as the thymus chakra, it is located halfway between the heart and the throat on the upper chest.  (Discovering the connection between this chakra and a person's expression of soul was such a big deal for me that I made the video "Thrill Your Soul" all about it, a commitment that took me years. However you investigate the high heart, there's so much to learn. Explore away!) 

Reading Bill's databank for Qualities of Soul, I find childlike joy combined with the contentment of an ancient being who has managed to "Get it right."  The most interesting shift I find here, looking back through time, could be considered a form of transmutation.  Some circuits that Bill once had set up for perfectionism have, through his choice, been opened up into their opposite: A welcoming, no-strings-attached wonder that allows other people to be exactly what they choose, to Bill's absolute delight. 

And again, who doesn't wish to morph just a bit of that quality into your future?  And what could possibly stop you?
