READING LIFE DEEPER April-May 2005 Zine Issue 35 by ROSE ROSETREE In this issue: MEDIA FUN, Complete with "aNCestrology" How’d you like some local media fun, where I read your hottest celebs and then have them comment back? That’s what I did for the spring issue of Flow National Magazine. You know, you can propose a story like this to your favorite newspaper. Just email your paper’s feature editor and include a link to my website, http://www.rose-rosetree.com. Stranger things can happen than to receive a YES! Another Media high point for March was being interviewed for an article on “Acnestrology,” related to the section of Wrinkles Are God's Makeup (my advanced face reading book) called “If Zits Could Talk.” Courtesy of Wireless News Flash, these pimples were read ‘round the world. My radio interviews in March included the 100th show on “Journeys with Rebecca.” It was love at first phone call. You can learn about this spunky psychic at Journeys With Rebecca. Finally, you local zine readers might enjoy reading my article in the Spring Issue of Pathways Magazine, “Amid Disaster, Bring Blessings” (pg. 87 and continuing). What, you’re not living in the D.C. metro area? This could be a good thing. Besides, you have clout with the writer. Ask me to email the article to you and I’ll be glad to. Just put the title of the article in the subject line and I’ll know what to do. That address is still rosetree@starpower.net. A POPE LOVED BY THE ANGELS Long before Pope John Paul arrived at the cathedral, angels had begun to assemble. My friend Meg had never seen so many in one place before—angels hovering, sitting, crammed into corners. Meg wondered, “Who is this man they have come to honor?” More than a quarter century after Meg told me that story, the pope has made his transition. Let’s use Celestial Perception to acknowledge the greatness of the man whom many refer to as “Pope John Paul the Great.” Be prepared for inspiration, but not necessarily the kind you’d expect. Let’s start with face reading. Click here to see contrasting images of Pope John Paul II, Comparing when he was first elected in 1978 to his face about 10 years later, since one of his best mug shots ever was taken in 1989. You may also enjoy this marvelous photo from 2005. Now, before you start looking at how the great man’s face changed, here’s a hint: Don’t expect to find much. CONSISTENT LEADERSHIP Several extreme items of face data never changed at all. Start by noticing the pope’s right-angled nose. To see this in all its glory, cover up one half of his face at a time. Notice how Pope John Paul has far more nose on the right than the left? (New face readers, you may need a pointer about how to tell right from left. Here it is: For faces other than your own in the mirror, you must reverse left and right, as though you were crossing over to shake hands.) I call this nose angling “the fame trait.” It presages a destiny for work that will take the nose owner into the spotlight. Still, if you’re an experienced face reader, you’re aware that every talent comes with a potential challenge or life lesson. For a right-angled nose, that challenge is living a public life, rather than one that emphasizes private experience. For a religious leader, that suggests an outer vocation, where he’ll represent his faith rather than explore it inwardly. Call me naïve, but the spiritual implications of this distinction hadn’t occurred to me since I began to read this fascinating man of the cloth. Here’s what I assumed: If you choose a lifetime as a clergyman, and you do it with honor, your goal is to culture your inner experience of God. Well, here’s what I learned from reading the face of John Paul II: To be the public face of religion for Catholics all over the globe, your goal is not to grow subjectively but to remain constant. How could this be a glorious thing? Keep reading. EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP Notice how the Pope’s forehead is far wider than his cheeks? This Passion Power Style shows him to be a dynamic leader, someone who will accomplish more than most, and be less likely to be bogged down in daily routines. For more nuance, check out his ear proportions. See how his outer ear circles are significantly bigger than the inner ear circles? Common in political leaders, these ear proportions suggests someone designed to notice objective reality--the rules and regulations--not nuances of inner experience. Straight lower eyelid curve reveals intense loyalty to his chosen friends, along with reluctance to become personally involved with strangers. Can you be kind yet remote? Just find one of the many photos where John Paul gave affectionate audience to a child. Don’t look too closely and he seems grandfatherly. (But you’ll find a deeper truth by reading his aura.) Meanwhile, back at his face…. As a communicator, the Pope’s long, thin lips reveal a talent for speaking to large numbers of people. Self-disclosure won’t be the topic, however. This is the perfect mouth for expressing church doctrine—no frills, no sentimentality. On a person who hasn’t taken a vow of poverty, I call it “Millionaire Mouth.” Finally you come to another extreme that never changed for John Paul, his VERY straight chin, punctuated by a macho knob. Face readers know that means making choices based on principles rather than feelings. His macho knob only intensifies this. So expect the full force of this man’s personality, including feelings like pride and rage, to be aligned according to his beliefs about what is right. WHAT CHANGED? It’s significant that so little changed on John Paul’s face, especially considering his highly public role during an unusually lengthy papacy. If you’ve read my advance face reading book, Wrinkles Are God's Makeup, you saw how much Colin Powell changed in just two years. Job stress, combined with power and fame, can do that—depending on a person’s degree of inwardness. In 26 years on the job, the big facial news for the pope is the movement of his left ear. See how it goes from out-angled to in-angled? This suggests an inner shift in his personal life from rebelliousness to acceptance of the rules. The first Polish pope was, by the end, not so much a pioneer for his nation but an exemplary follower of Italy’s ancient tradition. As a representative of the Vatican, Pope John Paul reached out politically in some extraordinary ways. Famously well traveled, he spoke out against communism, anti-Semitism, imperialism and materialism. Yet he stayed traditional about sexuality in ways that offended at least some of the world’s 1.1 billion Catholics and many non-Catholics who were otherwise fans (myself included). During his papacy, many opportunities for church reform were ignored. To question time-hallowed policies, this pope would have needed to go deep within… traveling to places he wasn’t prepared to go. To understand more about his highly specialized spiritual genius, we’ll turn next to his aura. LIFE IS SUCH A TRIP Back in elementary school, many of my classmates used to go on “Home Leave” during the summer. Their parents worked for the U.N. And man oh man, how those kids could brag about their trips abroad. No wonder, starting right then, I began to dream about traveling the world—not on home leave, not as a tourist, but as a spiritual teacher. I’m so grateful that this dream is coming true. And one of the best parts is that I can meet some of you, my faraway zine readers, face to face. Do you receive the catalog for Kripalu, America’s renowned yoga center? The summer issue contains guess who and guess what? Yep, on page 75. Amazing! There’s information about the face reading weekend I’ll give August 19-21. Please tell any friends who like yoga or hiking in the Berkshires—or want to go jump in the lake on a hot day—or would like to study face reading in depth. They can enjoy it all. Details at the Kripalu website. Coming far sooner, yes, I’ll be in Ohio and Kentucky in April, giving two free presentations, seven workshops, plus a load of in-person, personal sessions. Mighty (yet gracious) Coordinator Donna Cooley can answer any questions and help you attend any of these. Call her at 513-761-8607. Tour details are one click away. Then it’s on to the city that’s full of beans. We’re talking Seattle, obviously, and those wonderful beans smell like coffee. Once again, I’ll teach at Discover U. Plus East-West Bookshop will again host me for workshops and sessions. Astute Coordinator Jean Johnson has some extra activities planned as well. Tour details are here. Call her any time for info. about the upcoming festivities at 206-853-4353. Then, in May, it’s on to Tokyo for VOICE: Four workshops and many opportunities for personal sessions. It’s going to be a delight to be back with old friends and make new ones, too. If you’d like to study with me but you won’t be near any of the previously mentioned locations, consider a phone session for personal instruction. You can study any specialties of deeper perception—face reading, aura reading or empath’s empowerment—and move at your own pace. Set up these as you would any personal session. Start with this website link if you’re new to them.THE POPE'S HIGHLY SPECIALIZED AURA Religious ceremonies have real power. They can be aura-altering. (Read more about this, in Aura Reading Through All Your Senses, pages 228-230.) Without Celestial Perception you’ll miss the show at any religion’s sacred services, or when Catholics take communion, or (much like the aforementioned angels) when people come to bask in the darshan of Pope John Paul II. How fascinating, then to peek at the man who, starting in 1978, was installed as the infallible official representative of Jesus Christ. What in his aura made him stand out from the crowd of cardinals? He was the first non-Italian pope in nearly 500 years. How did he evolve aurically, even if he didn’t change much facially? Aura readers and empaths, check out these photos before reading further. For a quick auric tour, I recommend that you start with these databanks: Power, Heart, Third Eye and Crown. As always, feel free to email your insights to me at Rosetree@starpower.net. Here are the photos I used for this reading: At his election in 1978, mid-papacy, in 1989,and shortly before his death. A POPE OF HIS TIME Aurically, Pope John Paul II was like most of the people he served as spiritual father--also, come to think of it, like most people of any faith who live on earth currently: He was alive mostly at his first three chakras. Besides that, he showed some fascinating, distinctive fireworks at two additional chakras. Now, before going further into the papal details, you might wish to stop and read your own aura. Chances are that, unlike him, you don’t live most strongly at the chakras devoted to physical survival, sex, and power. Probably you live more acutely at the heart, throat and third eye. (In fact, those of you who have been my clients for Aura Transformation Sessions have probably received help at unblocking those first three chakras. Wherever you go for help moving forward, you’ve most likely done something similar.) Everyone on the planet is working toward living from the full auric set. That's what it takes for enlightenment. And, in case you’ve been wondering, it’s easier to make your peace with the lower chakras than dare to live from the uppers. Meanwhile, people who live mostly from the first three chakras reserve their respect for other folks who make a strong showing there. Whoever is selected as the next pope, this is sure to be one of his job requirements—whether his aura is officially read or not. In praise of John Paul’s super-hefty first three chakras, let’s focus on the power databank in his solar plexus chakra. He stood out from the competition with an immensely strong auric display, suggesting an impressive presence. Burning zeal combined with inner peace. This was the perfect basis for the dynamism he would show as history’s most traveled pope. By 1989, he showed growth in this power area. Humility became more pronounced, and I notice that peace was accompanied by new kinds of pain and forgiveness. By 2005, however, he wasn’t open to personal pain in any part of his aura. Instead he had become solidly powerful, strongly opinionated, increasingly set in his ways. THE HEART OF JOHN PAUL’S CHURCH As I write this article, today’s newspaper bears this fascinating headline, “In Mexico, Church’s Influence Wanes as Evangelism Grows.” As an aura reader, you can learn a lot about any religion by reading the auras of its clergy. Have you read many Christian evangelicals? Next time you can find a photo of one of them at prayer, take a peek. You may be shocked that, typically, very little happens spiritually—usually there is a closed off the third eye. Instead, any change is confined to the heart chakra or sexual energy databank. And the word to sum up these changes is emotion! Yes, for many people religion is about “feeling the spirit.” Not for this pope! Notice what happened with his heart chakra? When appointed in 1978, this was the smallest of his databanks. Frankly, John Paul didn’t much live in his heart; and when he was there, he came with his intellect. But by 1989, his heart had grown in magnanimity. Incidentally, don’t confuse that with sensitivity. Most of us mortals, being uncrowned, have scant opportunity to develop our magnanimity. But if someone invested you with enormous authority over millions of people’s spiritual lives, and provided that you chose the high road whenever possible, you too might have a chance at achieving magnanimity. Magnanimity notwithstanding, you still might identify with the classic Peanuts cartoon, “I love humanity. It’s people I can’t stand.” No, I’m not implying that the great Pope John Paul lacked love for people. But his aura does suggest that human emotions were not his specialty. By 2005 he had evolved further still at the heart chakra, holding a lovely concern for the world. Nevertheless, he didn’t let in much human emotion. So, in case you’d been envying the Pope his job, here’s one way that your life is probably vastly more enjoyable. Dollars to donuts, you have far more flow in your heart; more emotional growth, too. Combining that kind of earth experience along with papal responsibilities would have to be unbearable. People bring their deepest suffering to religion. Jesus could carry that weight, reportedly, but not necessarily the priests who have served in his name. John Paul carried as much emotional weight as he could. His genius, however, lay elsewhere. SPIRITUAL GENIUS John Paul’s heavy lifting as Pope was done with a magnificent third eye. By the time he’d been crowned, his forehead chakra glowed with enormous light. He connected with God, with angels. And, for the rest of his life, he held the quintessential Catholic quality of spiritual light as a beacon for the world. Reading his crown chakra, you can learn something surprising about what supported this kind of lighthouse consciousness. No disrespect is meant when I bluntly write this: John Paul did not have the aura of an enlightened man. Frankly, you could probably name a dozen people whose auras are overall more enlightened. Probably you, and every single reader of this zine, has more personal sensitivity and is evolving faster than the great Pontiff. Our jobs are different, as you may have noticed. We’re free to wake up all our chakras, and go through all requisite turmoil along the way. We’re able to develop empathic abilities and other distinctive talents as individuals. We’re not busy with that other job, serving our planet as The Catholic Statute of Liberty. John Paul II did, and did it under pressure. Lo and behold! Much of his crown chakra functioning was shut off, more than is the case for you and me. What stayed open was The Pope Channel. In a highly selective way, through his crown chakra, Pope John Paul II brought in the frequencies needed to support his church. A man who impeccably lived out his destiny, he could bring in this humongous light, shine it worldwide through his third eye, and stay balanced. Having his highly specialized connection to spirit, with that semi-closed-off crown chakra, helped make this possible. By 1989, John Paul’s third eye display had become bigger and even more glorious. By 2005 it was even more dazzling. Imagine a crown that projected in front of his head, rather than being worn like a hat. Then picture that crown set in shimmering gold, dazzling with exquisite jewels, row upon row. No wonder so many angels showed up to gawk. CHAIN OF FRIENDS My favorite face reader in the world is Narayan Singh Khalsa—and, trust me, I’m choosy about face readers. Sometimes people contact me, looking for him, and I’m happy to send them his way. (Should YOU be one of his fans, you’ll find Narayan in Seattle these days, doing readings of various sorts over the phone, 425-885-2286.) I have put up a web page about him and his wife, the Rev. Marcia Winter, a psychic who also does phone readings. Incidentally, besides being a marvelous intuitive and talented teacher (though not traveling so much now, for health reasons), Narayan is also a prolific writer. Just the bibliography of his works measures many inches, so when you’re prospecting for a strong metaphysical voice, with an abundance to say plus great wit for expressing it all, check him out. As synchronicity would have it, just as I was getting this zine formatted, into my email came the following message, courtesy of another friend (and remarkable writer), Marilyn Markham Petrich, RN, Author, Dearest Waiki: Love Letters to an Andean Mystic. I was moved by what Wayne had to say, especially because Ram Dass touched my life in an unforgettable way in 1968. If someone with my tiny nostrils could be moved to send off a check, you may, too, so beware! RAM DASS APPEAL FROM WAYNE DYER
