THE TWO-PARTY SYSTEM OF BILL FRIST Campaign 2008 has started, you know, with its first straw polls. Sen. John McCain tried to sabotage the Republican poll by asking supporters to write in President Bush. Alas, McCain may be a media darling to reporters, but Frist plays better in the heartland, or at least in his party’s first official unofficial poll, which the Senate majority leader won handily. This three-part profile will be the first in an occasional series designed to bring perspective on America’s next presidential election. As a teacher of deeper perception living right outside the Washington Beltway, I’m a different kind of Washington insider, right? First let’s explore the face of Frist. Use this picture for reference. What do you notice, physically? As you know if you’ve been reading faces for character, in my system of Face Reading Secrets®, every item of face data corresponds to a both talent and a potential challenge. (The challenge may or may not have been overcome yet.) This facial alphabet applies to everyone over the age of 18. So, in reading the current Majority Leader for the U.S. Senate, you may see a bit of yourself or someone you know. Power Box on Chin: A straight chin bottom is combined with a rectangular chunk of muscle and a straight line above it. Together this forms a box-like structure that is extremely rare. Even Frist himself didn’t have it years ago. He developed it.
Crooked Mouth, Higher on the Right: Even when not smiling, the right side of Frist’s mouth angles significantly higher than the left.
Ultra-Long Ears: They’re even larger than Frist’s rather long nose.
VERY In-Angled Ears: Those ears are positioned as close to the head as is humanly possible.
Evidently, never can be a short time! But whenever you spend your time reading faces, it can give you an education. Deeper levels of perception, as shown in the two following articles, will reveal even more. ENTER THE PORTAL April is a great month for personal sessions, especially because I will be going on travel from mid-May through August, and will have both my zine and my sessions on hiatus during this unusually busy time. Yes, The Portal to Deeper Perception has opened, and you’ll find it sweeter than Candyland. (More real, too.) Why did I create this special community space online, with eight blogs and forums so far—and more under development? Apart from the sheer fun of reading what these talented people have to say, here’s why The Portal exists: When I grew up in the 1950’s, very few career paths were open to a woman. She could become either a Mommy, a nurse or a teacher—at least that’s how it seemed to many American children in my generation. Today, this notion seems both limiting and laughable. Yet something similar prevails regarding Deeper Perception, consciously exploring levels of truth within everyday life. Deeper Perception is the level of auras, of angels, of deep human secrets. Enjoying it is the birthright of every human being, and each of its innumerable applications can bring more life into life. Yet what are the career paths for deeper perception? As someone who teaches techniques to open up Deeper Perception for anyone who desires it, I have had conversations about this in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Everywhere that I have met with students, here is the prevalent, limiting notion: “When you open up Deeper Perception, you can become either a psychic or a physical healer.” Pathetic! Folks who are barely in their bodies keep signing up for more lessons in alternative healing. What else can they do, since they’re not inclined to become mediums? When they have finally accumulated enough credentials at physical healing, will they have found a calling? And if it is not for healing, what? I wonder, why must world service be seen as a choice between chatting with angels or moving out headaches? For some people, these are authentic sacred callings. But for most awakening seekers, either route just might be a detour. Deeper Perception can take you anywhere, not just stay-at-home woo-woo, nursing or (psychic-level) teaching. In actuality, each person was born with a unique set of gifts for Deeper Perception. Using these gifts with skill, you’ll find no shortage of appropriate career paths. Here’s how some of my students professionally use their gifts for Deeper Perception: As psychologists and spiritual counselors; event planners and systems analysts; office receptionists and electricians; custodians of the earth and animal empaths; as musicians, artists, dancers and actors. Here’s the truth. In your personal life, Deeper Perception can help you to find fulfillment and help others and do it your way. “Yes,” you may sigh. “But when doing what? Am I supposed to be a psychic or a healer?” Deeper Perception can enhance anything that you choose to do—be it a relationship, a sport, a hobby, even the unique way that you connect to your spiritual Source. The next question for many people concerns worthiness: “For me to read people deeper, don’t I first need to be perfect?” Deeper Perception can be developed way before you become flawless to outside observers. Inwardly you need not be fully enlightened. You only need to show up as yourself, and be willing to learn. So don’t wait to become perfect before you attempt Deeper Perception. Techniques like face reading, aura reading, training for empaths, spiritual healing, co-creating with God can actually accelerate self-actualization… which brings us full circle back to this Portal. I’ve invited some of my most talented students to open up blogs and forums about every aspect of using Deeper Perception in everyday life. You’re invited to join these conversations. In opening up this Portal, I also make a statement as a teacher of personal development, countering a problem common among those who teach metaphysics (also religion, psychological healing, physical healing and energy work). Back in the Piscean Age, the way to teach was to become an authority figure, the perfect model for your students. You would train them to be like you, and their highest achievement would be to duplicate your discoveries. Puhleeze! In the Aquarian Age, we teachers can have a different mission. While teaching our skills with meticulous care, we can simultaneously nurture the gifts of our students. Can this be done? Just read any of these blogs and forums. These students of mine are teachers in their own right. Are they awesome or what? May their examples inspire you. And whoever you are, intrepid explorer who reads all the way down to this final paragraph, may this Portal help you to find your community, your friends, peers, students and companions in earth’s great fellowship of seekers. Dare to read life deeper, and do it your way. THE TALENTED AURA OF BILL FRIST Read auras from regular pictures? Of course you can. Look at one chakra location at a time and try the “Aura Reading from Photos” technique from Let Today Be a Holiday, pages 103-104. Or improvise a technique of your own. Either way, try out your skills on this picture. I find it especially revealing because it’s a photo-in-action, rather than a completely posed photo op. (More on reading posed photos in the final article in this month’s Zine). PHYSICAL PRESENCE at the Root Chakra Senator Frist doesn’t sport huge charisma. Instead, he’s all brains and cunning, strongly reminiscent of the first President Bush. CREATIVITY at the Belly Chakra People are, clearly, Frist’s art form. What, you thought he was going to get creative with medicine? Although he may still possess credentials as a physician, Frist’s aura is very different from that of most other doctors and healers. This is a good thing. Healing ability is conspicuously absent. Maybe it was different once upon a residency, but these days Dr. Frist gets most creative politically. What’s most noticeable here isn’t the creative thrust (which is actually quite small). No, it’s the intensity. Ruthlessness is the best way to describe it. Here’s a man who will find a way to get his way. POWER at the Solar Plexus Chakra Read this and weep, fellow Republican presidential contenders. Frist doesn’t merely enjoy power (demonstrated by a huge projection at this part of his aura). The senator carries it with grace, authority, and a sense of unshakeable entitlement. Reading integrity here, it’s our first glimpse of what I call Frist’s “Two-Party system.” If you’re on his side, Frist’s integrity is gorgeous. He’ll deliver exactly what he promises, keeping his word, and otherwise inspiring confidence in his supporters. But if you’re his enemy (you know, “the other party”), no rules of engagement will be followed, other than the popular sentiment “All’s fair in love and war.” Aura readers are in an excellent position to question this sentiment because of the dismal consequences it brings to an energy field—like Frist’s. I’ve heard it said that the real test of good manners is how someone treats “the little people,” those with little political influence, money or social status. How much class does it take to support your supporters? It’s how Frist treats everyone else that counts, and the news from his power chakra isn’t good: He’ll do whatever it takes to clobber opponents, with no tactics considered too sneaky or cruel. Could he change this with one good prayer? It’s possible. This entrenched pattern isn’t at his core, merely the result of one choice at a time. No matter how horrid the qualities around any chakra, they can always be healed… provided the person is willing. EMOTIONAL HONESTY at the Heart Chakra My, but those walls are thick--four layers of them, by my count, which is more than you might find, energetically, around the Great Wall of China. By dint of both temperament and practice, Frist has distanced himself from others. Consequently, he has become impervious to anyone’s feelings except for those of a small number of favored individuals. Deep down, Frist is a really good man: Caring, sensitive, deeply interested in other people, and emotionally honest. Alas, to find this, an intrepid aura reader will have to go really, really deep. Along the way, you’ll also find denial. The Senator’s version of this is an almost willful blindness to inconvenient emotions… supplemented by circuits jerry-rigged into his aura that automatically protect him from the feelings of those who “don’t matter.” Could this be released? Absolutely, provided that Frist were willing. TRUTHFULNESS at the Throat Chakra On either side of his throat, Frist displays a radically different style of communicating. At the left side, revealing how he speaks to his inner circle, he’s very serious. Yes, you’ll find undisguised determination, fascination with strategy and, deeper still, a raw lust for power. None of this is concealed. But at the public side of his throat, Frist projects a huge persona. At the time of this photo, he’s sending out the façade of a friendly, back-slapping politician. Larger than life, he’s (supposedly) the one man who can make you secure, like a real-life, mild-mannered superhero. SPIRITUAL INTEGRITY at the Third Eye Here’s the low point of Bill Frist’s aura. Ice cold, blacked-out—the data at this chakra suggests a man who will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Ever hear the idea of “selling one’s soul to the Devil”? Frist could be the poster child. Where is his moral compass? How do his spiritual yearnings lead him? What is his view of Heaven? The simple answer is “Power, power, power.” To help Frist get the most political mileage out of this soul-level choice, the aspiring president has a rare talent. Although it pervades his aura, yet you may never have heard of this kind of talent. What could it be? Just keep reading…. GUARDIAN ANGEL UPGRADE Could you have outgrown your Guardian Angel? Each of us has incarnated with a guardian angel and two or more primary guides. They’re enormously important as helpers—surely the original, real-life models for the profession now called “Life Coaching.” Yet recently I was presented with a counter-culture concept that caused me to upgrade my angel team. Consider this: Usually a Guardian Angel is assigned for life. But what if your vibrations have lifted a great deal over the years, thanks to all the choices you’ve made and how hard you have worked to evolve? Might it be appropriate to let that glorious being go and call in one who is more appropriate to who you are now? Even within the world of metaphysics, which is wildly counter-culture to begin with, it may strike you as outrageous to consider divorcing your Guardian Angel. I first learned about this ultra-wild idea from a book given me by a student, “Dear God! What’s Happening to Us?” by Lynn Grabhorn, published by Hampton Roads, a great deal at $14.95. Angelic or not, Lynn has come to believe that some of the guidance we receive isn’t up to par and, much as I admire her engaging style as a writer, I’ll admit to having mixed reactions to her theories. Toward the end, however, Lynn offers a set of brilliantly conceived statements to say aloud, just one time each. Never one to dally when reasonable options for evolution present themselves, I said them all. To my astonishment, away went my adorable Guardian Angel and another beloved member of my angel team, to be replaced by two other beings of even higher vibrations. I’m getting to know them, to love them. So I’m very grateful to Lynn Grabhorn and excited by this concept. Would you consider receiving even better guidance from your angels than you do now? In her book, Lynn explicitly gives permission for readers to share the decrees from her book, so long as her book is properly acknowledged. I’m adapting the first of these for you here, and invite you to share them as well, provided you also acknowledge her book. (And, since I’ve done significant adapting, please acknowledge this zine as well. Thanks!) I’ve also given some thought to the content of Lynn’s set of statements and have adapted them into a Healing Quartet. If you email me, I’ll send them to you for free. In a physical place where you can find and feel a degree of peace and quiet in your surroundings and within yourself, gather a serenity about you, and a sureness of intent, and state either out loud or to yourself (out loud, I’m told, is best): Upgrade Your Guide Team “From the Light of God within me, I ask that, starting right now, my Guardian Angel and guides be beings of the highest possible vibrations, living with 100% full and un-compromised spiritual light. I release any members of my personal team who do not have these frequencies and ask God to replace them with a guardian angel and guides who are willing and able to work with me and who do have 100% full and un-compromised spiritual light.” FRIST'S TRYSTS If you’re a skilled empath, you can use techniques like those in Empowered by Empathy to, temporarily, flow in your consciousness to BECOME the person you see in a photo. After experiencing this, you can then safely move back into your own experience of self. From this vantage point, you can describe a version of what it is like to be someone else. Doing this with a few different photos of Senator Frist, I’m impressed with his exceptional talent at projecting façades—those subtle-energy versions of who a person seems to be. Everyone has social façades. It’s no more avoidable than having skin. About 1 in 500 people has a talent for projecting a strong façade. Such people have an edge as actors, musicians, salespeople and politicians. It’s as though the projector has a tryst with a highly desirable date and, during the liaison, seems like a hottie himself. Or he then has a date with an investment broker and comes across as a very solid, estimable businessman. Sociologists call these social roles. And everyone carries them out through speech, actions, even body language. Certain people do more, however. They project façades that lend extra credibility. The stronger the façade, the more believable the actor in that role. MOVIE STARS IN EVERYDAY LIFE We’ve all met spouses and lovers, mothers and fathers, who seemed almost cloying in their devotion. Yet, if you got to know them, you’d experience a different taste entirely. A strong façade can fool everyone except an aura reader or skilled empath. With deeper perception, the truth will out. For Frist, it quickly becomes evident that he has stellar ability to project a convincing façade. In this way, he reminds me of Barbara Bush, whose popularity as First Lady may have depended on her talent for façade projection. Remember how she seemed like everyone’s honest, fair, and caring grandmother? Years ago, a journalist had me read her photo back when she first was married to George H. W. Bush. Imagine my shock to find that she then projected something completely different, yet equally intense. In her twenties, she came across as an intensely desirable young hottie, truly of movie star caliber. I wish I could give you that same shock by showing you that photo, but I’ve been unable to find it anywhere. Still, in your own life, if you think about it, you probably know someone with the façade projecting intensity of Barbara Bush or Bill Frist. Beyond this intensity, he has a related talent. The Senator can project a variety of façades in sequence, not simply one. Clearly, he would make an outstanding actor. READ IT YOURSELF Here’s a brief introduction to reading Façade Projections. Either use the Darshan Technique from Empowered by Empathy or try this quick-and-dirty technique for finding Façade Projections: Step 1: Get a photo ready to view but don’t look into it yet. Step 2: Look around the room, wherever you are. Step 3: Think inside, “I’m ready to learn about this person’s Façade Projection. My first impression will come in clear and strong.” Step 4: Look at the photo. Grab that quick first impression. Immediately look away. Step 5: Consider what you’ve received. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 as needed until you can put words to your experience. If you like, afterwards consider the way more superficial level of Body Language. Whenever you focus on details of the face and physical posture, it distracts you from deeper truths. So remember, read the façade first, the body language second. Now, supplement your readings of Senator Frist with mine. Check out three of the many and varied Façade Projections of Senator Frist. FAÇADE PROJECTION A rock of Gibraltar, utterly steadfast and dependable. You can have absolute confidence in him. At this moment, he is a little saddened by the petty attempts of his interviewer to question him. BODY LANGUAGE Through facial expression and body language, Frist communicates wariness. Clues include the finger position of his hands; head tilt away while eyes cut toward; mouth held tightly. But there’s more. Check out this official photo of Frist: FAÇADE PROJECTION Pure as new snow, he’s impeccably honest, a truly fresh face in politics. How refreshing. Any child could see how noble he is, above all pettiness, endearingly boyish and, above all, sincere. BODY LANGUAGE Frist seems eager, perky, ingenuous. Clues are the slight crookedness of smile (right side higher), the carefully controlled (and partial) openness of his smile, the wide open eyes. And here’s a final demonstration of Frist’s acting talent. Click to see this statesmanlike pose. FAÇADE PROJECTION This tough and seasoned warrior will fight for you. Be confident. He can protect you from harm. BODY LANGUAGE This time, Frist emphasizes being warm, strong, engaging and capable. Signs include the ingratiating head and body tilt, the arm position emphasizing his power chakra, the controlled (fake) smile that does not raise his cheeks or crinkle his eyes, the engaging crookedness in his mouth angle.
