For my last birthday I received just one book, The Gift of Change by Marianne Williamson.  I couldn't have been more delighted, having just listened to her audiobook edition of "A Woman's Worth."  The combination of sweet wisdom with salty humor and sharp directness sent the taste buds of my soul into a swoon.

THANK GOD FOR THAT CHIN THRUST:  From the 3/4 view in one of our photos, you'll notice how much Marianne's chin sticks out.  Here's a quote from The Power of Face Reading:

Marianne Williamson has many face traits that show sensitivity and gentleness. Her VERY large chin thrust balances it, however, and the grit in that chin has helped her to take the relatively unknown spiritual text, A Course in Miracles, and give it (and herself) a national following.

And here's a quote from Marianne, in an article in "Mother Jones" that attempted to debunk her, along with the rest of the New Age.  What's remarkable isn't the nastiness of the article but Marianne's brilliant rejoinder to criticism: 

"See, I find it interesting. I find that I'm in the only career that I know of [where] the more successful you are, the more suspicious you are," the 45-year-old Williamson says. "Like I have these slavish followers. In any other field, if you've got a large audience, people would say you must be good at it. I have an audience. Barbra Streisand has an audience. I don't have followers."

CURVY EYES:  Yes, of course we expect human eyes to have some curve. What I'm describing here is the shape on the lower half of Marianne's eyes. They're more like half circles than straight lines, and that's way significant.

Openness to people, that's the message.  You'll find few celebrities in any field, especially those who teach personal growth, who allow themselves to be this open to strangers.  For instance, check out the lower eyelid curve on two people at her website, Dr. Wayne Dyer and her publisher, Louise Hay, plus the mega-famous Dr. Phil -- all renowned for their work but not necessarily poster figures for personal vulnerability.

LARGE EYELIDS:  To see this clearly, disregard the eyeliner around her eyes and just look for the place where eyeshadow peeks out -- a  significantly large rim above the eyelashes. Face readers know that intimacy style shows here.  Marianne's eyelids reveal that she becomes very close to people.  So not only does she learn a great deal about strangers (related to the previously mentioned "Curvy Eyes") but she'll let the information have personal impact, behaving in a way that deepens a close connection.

NARROW NOSE:  The ridge of Marianne's nose doesn't have much padding.  It looks like a flesh-covered bone, from the bridge to right above the tip.  Independent work is the talent that shows here.  From starting a project to finishing it, I think Marianne's comfort zone is to do her work her way, thank you very much.

MUSCULAR NOSE ROOTS:  "Roots" are the fleshy skin over the nostrils, sometimes called flanges.  Notice how these nose roots are both slender and muscular in texture.  Prosperity is a significant theme in Marianne's life.  That's what her unusually muscular nose roots proclaim.

Specifically, this has involved learning to provide for herself and do it on her terms... without giving power away.  Integrity is a necessary condition for her career.  Pride is another -- caring a lot about her reputation.

Consequently, Marianne's nose roots suggest that she has learned a great deal about honorable self-sufficiency.  This is a lesson she teaches by her very way of being.

PROMINENT CHEEKS:  Having cheeks this prominent as the widest part of her face -- well, it's about courage.  Yes, Marianne will take responsibility.  It may have taken her decades to grow into comfortably owning this destiny for leadership.  Or maybe this challenge hasn't been overcome yet.  How about this?  In the second part of this article, let's read her aura to learn whether or not Marianne Williamson is comfortable having this ultra-strong talent for leadership built right into her cheeks.

Trust of life at the root chakra

Courage is strong.  Pervading this databank in Marianne's aura, there's scar tissue -- my favorite thing to find anywhere in an aura.  This is about having used personal courage to learn difficult life lessons, perhaps even going beyond what was in the original Life Contract.

Scar tissue at this chakra tells me Marianne has strong inner qualifications to teach The Course in Miracles, plus the even more interesting, distinctive work she has done since.  Teachers of spiritual empowerment, the really effective ones, have walked deep wisdom before they ever talked it or wrote about it.  Read Marianne's root chakra and be inspired about how hard she has struggled, how much she has won.

Creativity at the belly chakra

It's a calling.  Marianne's drive to write, to teach, and to help are encoded in her aura along with a huge whoosh of energy.  It's an unrelenting incentive to create, blended with high spiritual vibrations.  To read this is to believe that Marianne really does have a calling, an uncommonly strong spiritual vocation.  Her second chakra proclaims her role for world service, that she came into this life in order to create as a spiritual leader.

Another of Marianne's distinctive qualities at this chakra is bluntness.  Information pops out unadorned, unapologetically.  And why would Marianne's creations need to be prettied up?  Stark and compassionate spiritual truth has its own kind of beauty.

Intellect at the solar plexus

What kind of a mind dwells here?  Marianne is uncommonly quick, devastatingly incisive.  At the time of this recent photo, a certain kind of weariness has set in.  Maybe it's a side effect of great fame in her field, full-blast since Oprah "discovered" her in 1982.

Frankly, Marianne has had to suffer plenty of fools.  With a graduate student's spiritual understanding, she has faithfully communicated to people whose consciousness is more at the level of sixth grade.  Has she developed the circuitry to meet people at their level?  And help them?  Yes and yes.

Patience, however, isn't necessarily fun.  I'll bet she can't wait to write and teach for true peers.

Just in case you wanted a bit more incentive for your spiritual evolution, your emotional honesty, now you can do it for the sake of more joy in Marianne's third chakra!

Personal power at the solar plexus

Woo-hoo, she's strong!  Nobody will take this woman down, belittling her.

Protectiveness is a big part of it.  Check out the fearlessness, like that of a mother bear protecting her cubs.  Then go back and revisit Marianne's wonderful chin thrust.  Holograms of the soul show in both face and aura, after all.

Empathic talent at the heart chakra

Here you'll find a lifelong gift as an empath.  Marianne is a glowing example of Emotional Oneness, that ability to experience other people's feelings as though they were her own.  (To read more about the different kinds of empathy, click here.)

One dynamic at this chakra involves her using this ability to give and give to her public.  Then she recharges by moving into experience of herself, plus connection to her source.  The degree of personal reserve and inwardness is exceptional for a celebrity.  Dr. Phil, for instance, has his charms but they don't include profound introspection -- at least that's what his aura tells me.

Communication at the throat chakra

Take out your sunglasses, folks, because it's mighty bright in there. 

Shimmering gold is how it seems to me, and according to my personal Inner Dictionary as an aura reader, the meaning is clear: Spiritual surrender.

While doing her radio show, which is when this photo was taken, Marianne has a deep intent to be of service and to connect with Source.  She might as well refer to herself as "We."

Whereas so many talk show hosts come from ego,   Marianne comes from "We go!"

Spiritual connection at the third eye

Big!  Singing!  Divine feminine!   

Sacredness!  Contagious joy!

All this and more can delight you at the world-server portion of Marianne's third eye.  If you're an empath, I urge you to use the Darshan technique from Empowered by Empathy, because it is such a delight to experience this vibrant spirituality. 

Marianne's human self shows up too, seeking her way. The strong connection to Source helps for solving problems but cannot eradicate them.

Soul expression at the high heart chakra

This sub-chakra is located at the upper chest, between the heart and throat chakras.  My research indicates that only 1 in 300 people strongly expresses his or her human, very individual soul; the nature of the connection shows here.  Yet anyone could have this vibrant connection.  

Here we find more leadership from the indomitable Marianne Williamson.  Her soul expression is huge, with independence verging on rebelliousness.  Does she structure her life to include what she needs for personal happiness?

Granted, I'm reading her aura here, not her daytimer, but the evidence is compelling.

Scar tissue shows here, even more than at her root chakra.  (Remember, scar tissue is about having used personal courage to learn difficult life lessons.)  Maybe Marianne wasn't raised to claim human happiness, but clearly she has learned to go for it.  No wonder she wrote the famous words, often incorrectly attributed to Nelson Mandela:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us..."

How Would Jesus Drive?

In any given situation you can ask, "What would Jesus do?"  But wouldn't it be more interesting, as well as realistic, to ask, "How would I do [whatever I'm doing] if Jesus were there along with me?

After all, your goal isn't to become Jesus - or Buddha or Muhammad, Archangel Ezekiel or any other chosen ideal.  Question any spiritual teacher who demands that you become someone other than yourself.  Jesus didn't require this.

Who knows how Jesus would drive your car?  But you can definitely figure out if you would drive differently having Him as your passenger.  Imagine Him or another Divine Being with you today, sitting right next to you.

In His company, will you tailgate or be overly cautious?  Will you follow the rules of the road, like remembering to turn on the headlights when it rains?

In my neighborhood, turn signals have become optional in the minds of many.  One otherwise intelligent woman explained it to me this way:  "Why don't I signal? Guess I just don't feel the need."

Would she drive differently if a police officer were in the car?  I'd especially love to watch from the back seat if she had a policeman plus Jesus.

Truth is, we drive according to our level of consciousness.  Rules of the road, common sense or even common courtesy - none of this matters much when the driver's consciousness is half asleep.  Even with all good intentions, even if you were carrying the finest passenger in all the world, with sleepy consciousness you wouldn't drive well.

But anyone's consciousness can wake up.  It just takes some time each day where you have the intent to give God your undivided attention.  Then use some technique of your choice to connect with the Divine presence.

Once awake, consciousness can move.  Another name for moving spiritual consciousness is... co-creating with God.

Who gives you license to be so ambitious?  Trust the only human being with the appropriate credentials to decide: Yourself.

Eventually it seems superfluous to figure out answers to questions like, "What would Jesus do?"  Ask Him yourself. Or do something even better:  Co-create with a Divine Being and express the inspiration as you.
