Of course you can read a person's aura from regular photos. It's useful for reading yourself, checking out the deep truth of a love relationship, or a Personnel Profile (although these are often requested to help you learn about current or potential business associates, these reports can also be done to bring insight about a potential or current lover, complete with lie detector tests and screening for substance abuse problems.)

Root Chakra Databank: Being in the World

A wiry man, built for speed more than endurance, Barack Obama impresses me with his fierceness.  This is a person in touch with his soul (more on this later).  The combination of determination with soul-connectedness is formidable.  

Belly Chakra Databank: Creativity as a Politician

Spontaneity is one of Obama's considerable set of gifts for creativity.  And appreciate the basis for creativity that pervades this politician's aura: He is a holistic thinker, able to hold groups of people in his awareness and balance out consequences as though playing chess. 

Sure, high-level politicians learn to evaluate consequences for different groups, but for most it is a matter of evaluating public opinion, a kind of business decision.

Right from this chakra, it is clear that Obama has deep intellectual abilities that inform his thinking about people.  Can't wait to read more?  That's how I feel. On to…

Solar Plexus Chakra: Intellectual Specialties

(First I'll read this databank, then go into two contrasting ones at the same chakra.  For more about how to read 50!!! different databanks at any chakra, study with me or see my upcoming book, "Cut Cords of Attachment," now in production.) 

A disciplined, orderly thinker, Obama has mathematical intelligence.  Most interesting, he can go back and forth at dizzying speed, between abstract calculations and deep concern for groups of people.  

Clairaudience is part of his process, I believe.  Inwardly he can hear an entire group of people, at a time, calling out to him.  He can communicate with that collective consciousness, then go on to commune with another group's collective consciousness.  At times, Obama may appear distant, as though he's in his head.  So keep in mind that this is the part of his aura where he may receive the clearest intuitive guidance.  "Being in his head" for this man means something quite special. 

Obama's special qualities, at this chakra and others, do not include being an empath. 

Solar Plexus Chakra: Power Style with Supporters

Call it a two-step.  First Obama relaxes, brimming with enthusiasm over what to tell his people.  His aura expands many-fold at this chakra, in readiness to share his vision.  It is a changing vision, rather than a set ideal or fantasy.  It is a vision to which Obama brings idealism and soul-level passion.  Incidentally, this political vision is not about ego, particularly, which is rare in someone who runs for office.  (I'm not saying that ego is absent at other aura databanks, but exceptional purity shows here.) 

Second, Obama pulls back, prepared to defend himself if need be.  If he does win big politically, the patterning in this chakra suggests that he will remain circumspect, careful to show himself accountable.   

Solar Plexus Chakra: Power Style with Detractors 

He is fair.  He chooses to be kind.  Yet he won't be bullied.  This is one very tough man. 

Heart Chakra: Ability to Project Emotionally 

Candidates for president can win or lose based on seeming "likeable."  All we've read so far relates to being likeable.  But don't post-modern Americans prefer a performance?  Without using deeper perception, can they tell truth from fiction? 

Back when George W. Bush first campaigned, I gave interviews wherever I could, warning voters that his performance as a "Compassionate Conservative" masked… well, what Americans have learned about him the hard way. 

In general, Republican candidates for president often have an edge at projecting a caring persona, while Democratic candidates usually don't.  They channel their caring into political choices that directly help people. Oh, the irony! 

Meanwhile, Republicans may be just as well intentioned but they are more apt to support methods designed to help people indirectly, whether they know what is good for them or not, like tax cuts for the wealthy.  Strategies like these aren't so warm and fuzzy, yet somehow Republican candidates have won many recent elections by seeming more caring.  No wonder I recommend reading any political candidate as deeply as possible, rather than letting spin doctors tell you whom to trust.

Because seeming matters at least as much as doing to most Americans, Barack Obama's political fate may depend on his ability to project himself emotionally.  And, alas, he doesn't.  Sincerity is his strongest attribute, and to the discerning viewer this matters enormously.  Yet the voting public often demands a performance, and – despite his reputation for oratory – his aura suggests some limitations in this department. 

Obama's heart chakra reveals a wonky, nerdy passion for politics, rather than folksy emotions.  He can move an audience by discussing ideas, but otherwise his emotional appeal strikes me as relatively limited. 

Communication Chakra: Verbal Charisma

Obama has become a political superstar because of his oratorical powers.  But does he really possess uncommon talent as a speaker or has he just been lucky so far?  What does his aura shows about long-term speaking abilities?   

As a person, Barack Obama is moderately persuasive.  In his role as politician, however, he gains an extra spiritual boost.  Like a gifted singer, when speaking, this speaker releases into a bigger self.  You could say that he gets his personality out of the way and moves into a flow.  Co-creating with his spiritual Source, yes, this combination of Obama plus More can reliably deliver a wake-up call to his audience, one soul at a time.  

Third Eye Chakra: Spiritual Experience

Here, too, an exquisite spiritual connection shows in the aura of Barack Obama.  You may have a similar kind of grace -- though not necessarily for politics.  Think about it.  When you do your very favorite activities, does it seem effortless?  Do you stop slogging and start gliding?

That is co-creation, dharma, honoring the calling of your soul.  In other aspects of life, you may seem like a Clark Kent, but when doing that favorite activity you turn into Superman.  

Most of the time, Obama may appear cerebral and not terribly talented at making an emotional connection in social situations.  For instance, he doesn't have the kind of personal sparkle that would have made him the most popular kid in high school.  

Yet politics is a graced activity for him, and it does brings out the very best within him, lighting up his aura like a Christmas tree.  Where does that illumination show most?  It's in his third eye and high heart chakras. 

At this time of political crisis in American political life, Democrats are desperately seeking a perfect presidential candidate.  They'd settle for someone electable.  Can we trust Barack Obama to be a star, not just some crash-and-burn comet?  Both his face and his aura proclaim "Yes, we can."
