READING POPE BENEDICT xvi (Part one)

WHY READ THE POPE?

Some jobs are the opposite of empath.  Neither the job itself, nor the reaction it invites, has anything to do with directly experiencing what it is like to be another person.  Instead, people project their fantasies onto the person who has that job.

For this issue of our zine, let's consider one of those jobs.  It's called "pope."  Being selected means that you become the star of a fantasy holiday.  People can take the most outrageous and extreme beliefs and find a happy home for them in your richly decorated person.

Given the huge media coverage for the first, and very recent, U.S. visit by Pope Benedict XVI, I decided to devote this zine's article to reading how he has changed right after being installed as pope, then how he changed compared to three years ago.  What I didn't bargain for was the shock I'd receive in the second part of this article.  To fully appreciate that, play nice and read Part I, this article, first.

DISCLAIMER

Personal disclaimer here: I am not this Pope's biggest fan.  Picking up my newspaper at breakfast (the Washington Post on April 28), I read these post-visit quotes:

From Robert D. Novak, "Did pro-choice politicians receiving Communion at the papal Masses indicate the pope had softened on the abortion question?  The answer is no."  Novak concludes that American archbishops were disobedient, allowing Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and other Democratic politicians to participate.  He quotes a statement made by the pope a year ago, 'The killing of an innocent human child is incompatible with going into Communion in the body of Christ.'

What's my reaction to Novak and, more important, the leader of the world's Catholics?

Evidently "sanctity of life" doesn't matter for women, only for the unborn.  (Why, because some of the unborn might grow up to be men?)

Otherwise what explains this indifference to women who would die from medical complications related to pregnancy, the utter lack of concern for young girls who are raped or become pregnant due to incest, the who-cares attitude toward women whose lives would be destroyed in any sense because of an unwanted pregnancy?  Pope Benedict's version of sanctity doesn't impress me much.

Likewise, during the Pope's visit, much of the media coverage centered around church victims of sexual abuse.  Was it wonderful that Benedict spent time meeting with some of them?  Sure, semi-wonderful, anyway, since he didn't otherwise do anything substantive about this issue.  Billable hours for The Pope must be wonderfully valuable but talk remains cheap.

Finally, getting disclaimers out of the way, I haven't forgotten that Pope Benedict is the same gentle soul who, in 2006, gave a speech describing Islam as "evil and inhuman.”  Last I heard, Jesus didn't teach contempt.  Nor did he advocate the "sour grapes" version of theology.  In world religion, according to Adherents.com, the numbers stack up this way:

Followers of Islam: 1,780,000,000 (21% of world population), Catholics: 1,100,000,000

Yes, as a person, I'm curious to read the aura of a man so eager to disrespect one out of every five people on earth.  Admittedly mine is not the curiosity of a big fan.

Still, the process of reading auras or doing an empathic merge contains safeguards that bring objectivity.  I leave my views hanging here in the air, and invite you to think of your own right now.  Then we'll disinterestedly fly in spirit for our readings in this May 2008 Zine issue of Reading Life Deeper.

BETTER THAN "QUEEN FOR A DAY"

What do you love about your life, even if you don't get to be Pope?  I choose this: Some of us can become skilled empaths.  All of us can become clear aura readers.

To celebrate, let's use our skills on photos of before-and-after becoming Pope.  How does that change a person?  Specifically, how did it change Cardinal Ratzinger to become Pope Benedict XVI?

Who wouldn't be curious? I  grew up seeing the occasional "reality" show.  Back in the day we had the reality show/soap opera called "Queen for a Day."  Well, this show has got to be better: "Pope for the rest of your life, immortalized throughout history, and idolized by faithful Catholics all over the world."

How couldn't that change a man's aura?

Here are the two photos we'll use for an in-depth reading of the transition:

Right before becoming Pope

Right after becoming Pope

For background on the aura reading techniques used here, I'd recommend my latest book, Read People Deeper: Body Language + Face Reading + Auras.  It contains the most specific method I've offered yet for reading auras from photos, in depth and detail.  Variety is built in so that you can find the technique that suits you best.  Although I couldn't put that biggish section of the book into sample form, you can read some sample chapters.

Presence Entering a Room Databank at the Root Chakra

Before becoming pope:  Very brainy, very correct, exceedingly careful.  Politics (how other people respond to him) is in the forefront of the Cardinal's awareness, not spiritual anything.

Right after becoming pope:  A glorious, sacred energy overwhelms his presence.  The sanctity is enormous, transpersonal, a kind of wave of holiness that contains the best of every man who ever has held this office.  All that energy is very new to Pope Benedict and is being experienced at fullest intensity.

Personal Ambition Databank at the Root Chakra

Before becoming pope:  The Cardinal's desire is so great, it's epic.  This man would do anything within his power to become the official, real true, pope.  It is his dream of the past, his hope for the future, more important than anything.

Right after becoming pope:  Benedict has relaxed here, as if after winning the longest marathon in history.  His aura shows total relief.  What I find fascinating is that, in the moment of this photo, he doesn't care if he ever accomplishes anything else again.  As far as he's concerned, nothing could bother him or compel him.  (He is still, of course, in his very first days as Pope, adjusting to the radical change to his status in life, which is why it should be so interesting to read him three years afterwards, Part Two of this article.)

Power Integrity Databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra

Before becoming pope:  Ratzinger is very proud of his integrity.  He does no wrong.  Also, he has been very visible as a public person within his religious community, earning his version of a spotless record.  At the time of this photo, his being considered "blameless" matters more to him than having integrity itself.

Right after becoming pope:   Benedict surrenders to a sacred flow.  He's like a channeler who has become totally connected to the person he wanted to let speak through him.  Actually, I can think of an even more appropriate analogy.  He's like the hard-meditating yogi who has finally become enlightened.  The sense of grace is huge, a kind of cosmic "Home free" to someone who has spent decades playing hide-and-seek.

Communication Integrity in Public Databank at the Throat Chakra

Before becoming pope:  Sins of commission aren't a problem.  As for the sins of omission, plenty of hiding has gone on for years.  Inwardly Ratzinger grumbles and worries etc.  Publicly, he is very disciplined about his speech; therefore he will give no sign of these hidden imperfections.

Right after becoming pope:   Kindness, mercy, a huge flow of grace emanate from this throat chakra.  Integrity doesn't begin to describe it.  Skilled empaths, I do invite you to merge into this experience.  Every word is bliss, brings blessings, is effortlessly perfect.  As the newly crowned pontiff merges with the spiritual power of this tradition, his integrity becomes sublime.

Being in Touch with His Human Emotions Databank at the Heart Chakra

Before becoming pope:  The absence of emotional awareness is quite striking.  Such a bright man!  Such a complex (and largely negative) emotional life, coexisting with high ideals!  Feel the walls within walls, and a real disincentive to enter into any kind of emotional experience.

Right after becoming pope:   "Thank goodness, I don't have to do that any more."  That's the message about noticing his own human emotions.  And who wouldn't love to be freed from hurt, fear, pain, and the like?  The promise keeps many a spiritual seeker (myself included) moving forward on the current path.  Here, temporarily at least, Benedict rides a cosmic wave of bliss that requires no human touch-down, no reckoning, no need to pay attention to mere human emotion within.

Being in Touch with Emotions of Others Databank at the Heart Chakra

Before becoming pope:   Ratzinger is quite captivated with how the power of the Catholic church can free people from their petty human emotions.  He doesn't enter into those feelings at any experiential level, except to feel a rather superior distance because he is on the right side and those who suffer are on a lesser side.

Right after becoming pope:   Awesome! Pope Benedict has become a human connector to a transpersonal tidal wave of love.  It's a bit like that humble experience I describe as "Making an Energy Sandwich" in Cut Cords of Attachment. Only, of course, this papal version of the experience is far grander.  Is it possible to heal someone's emotional doubts and pain, just through darshan.  Sure is, here and now, being in the room (or photo reading) with Pope Benedict.

Interest in Making Changes that Help Real People Solve Problems Databank at the Third Eye Chakra

Before becoming pope:  Please!  How could there be room for that?  The amount of spiritual connection is tiny.  There isn't enough energy to fulfill even the owner of that aura, let alone care about problems belonging to anyone else.

Benedict is intellectually focused on his ambitions.  So the ratio right now of intellectual presence databank size to spiritual experience databank size is about 5,000:2. Oops!

Right after becoming pope:   Behold the bliss in this Divine Connection, where Benedict is now the focal point and chief representative.  It feels like being in heaven.  Of course, there is no real suffering.  All is become a God parade: God at the front of the procession, God all the way through to the end.  Individual people are dances of God, in joy or distress or other movements.  None of it matters really, compared to that truth of God-in-all.

Okay, I'm impressed.  Are you?  In the second part of this article, we'll explore those same databanks on the Pope, once he gets used to living that way -- three years later, actually, as he visits the American faithful.

EXTRA PREVIEW OF MY LATEST BOOK

Read People Deeper: Body Language + Face Reading + Auras – yes, that skill set could come in handy, couldn't it?

My latest book is due for delivery by the second week in May, given a set of delays that is, hopefully, over.  This new book has the most practical set of techniques I've written yet, perfect for beginners.  Yet if you have been using Deeper Perception already, you will appreciate these very same methods can be considered advanced techniques as well.

The read auras from regular photos method, for instance, is something a child could do.  Make that a very lucky child.  What makes it possible to teach something this deep, yet have it be so easy?  I'd credit the consciousness of humanity which evolves greatly year by year.

Part I of the book contains the how-to chapters, with instructions for avoiding common mistakes at reading body language, doing physiognomy accurately, and reading auras in person and from photos, in depth and detail.  Then Part II contains 50 different chapters, each about an aspect of life where you may find inside information to be very useful indeed.

I'm going to excerpt another chapter for you zine readers, in honor of the emerging theme for this month's zine. Click here to learn about how to read EVIL.

READING POPE BENEDICT xvi (Part TWO) -- A COMPARISON WITH PRESIDENT BUSH

Sit down before you read the next article. That's my advice.

Fortunately for me, I always sit down while writing this zine.  In that sense I was prepared when I began with this commonplace lead, thinking I was just starting another article….

Brainy Pope Benedict spoke in America.  Then President Bush displayed his own brand of braininess.  He leaned over and said, "Thank you, your holiness. Awesome speech."

Remember that, the next time any presidential controversy arises over how very important it (supposedly) is for a politician to not seem elitist.  Wasn't that a proud moment of all Americans?  Aw, shucks, the President of the United States calls the Pope "Awesome."

Okay, I'll calm down now.  And, as long as I've found a photo with both Bush and Pope Benedict XVI, how can I resist reading them both?  Let's bring back exactly the same databanks previously read, and read them:

from this recent photograph.

Presence Entering a Room Databank at the Root Chakra

Pope Benedict in 2008: He's joyful and playful.  By now, Benedict has integrated the papal energies.  His ego has grown apace, I should note.  His appointments are arranged so that he'll be protected from being disrespected, which makes a big difference day-to-day.  Altogether he's still a far kinder human being than he was before becoming pope.

President Bush in 2008: I haven't read the POTUS aura in years.  What I find is a more extreme version of what I found years ago.

Bush is gliding in and out with his consciousness, barely a conscious participant in his life.  I can't say, at this time, if he is on medications that cause this or whether medication is used as a kind of connection, permitting him to function.  Either way, his connection to physical reality is quite tenuous. And he is, quite clearly, heavily medicated.

What else has changed?  Bush has become a kind of mouthpiece for very strong, very powerful forces, moneyed forces, forces that have an inexorable control over American life.  Bush gives them voice, in a way comparable to Benedict's role, as channeler of the Papacy.

I am, frankly, appalled, at how the negativity around Bush has grown more solid, with a kind of invincible quality.  But I am sure glad I haven't been reading him all along, and I do warn all you empaths NOT to attempt any kind of empathic merge with him.  And if you do know techniques for spiritual healing, I do recommend that you use them right after finishing this article.

Bush and Pope Benedict:  If you were looking for a poster of evil and good, on parade, it's here.  Evil and good, no less – that is what these two men are, respectively, channeling.

Personal Ambition Databank at the Root Chakra

Pope Benedict in 2008:  Benedict's ambition is to spread the light that he carries.  The auric display is quite striking in this photo, because he is doing everything he can, energetically, to stay out of Bush's way and not engage aurically.  It's like an object lesson: To spread your light, stay away from the darkness.  Bring in more and more light to surround.

Gee, whoever thought I would have so much in common with Pope Benedict?  I couldn't agree more with this concept, this strategy.

President Bush in 2008:  The immediate interest is to get through the meeting, taking the Pope as lightly as possible.  (Awesome aspiration there, Prez.)

A more long-term comment, not to glum down the general tone of my zine, is pretty frightening.  As a person, Bush just wants to get through the appearance as the rather unstable but serviceable puppet he is; as I noted in his first months in office, he doesn't want to be discovered as someone who can barely think.

Wait, that's not even the frightening part. The very huge forces that speak through Bush are laughing at the Pope, sure that they are going to win.  Will their hatred and darkness take over the little experiment in evolution that we call Earth?

Power Integrity Databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra

Pope Benedict in 2008:  As a carrier of Big Light, the Pope is radiating as much as ever he can.  As a person, Benedict cringes in the presence of this much negativity and then hides his hiding.

President Bush in 2008:  No integrity is here.  There is only winning: Generating more misery every day, more despair, that's the game.

Ha!  Having deeper perception, you can choose where you will pay attention.  So pay attention, Zine readers!

Communication Integrity in Public Databank at the Throat Chakra

Pope Benedict in 2008:  As a person, the Pope feels incredibly uncomfortable being in the presence of Bush.  As a speaker, in his role of world service, Pope Benedict blasts out the biggest light he can.  Interestingly, it is all coming out from the side of his throat chakra that is physically away from Bush.

President Bush in 2008:  No integrity here, either!  The forces that speak through Bush vary between rage that they can't snuff out the Pope's energy presence and amusement.  Their game is to trivialize what they cannot control, which makes the "Awesome" comment from Bush more understandable than ever.

Being in Touch with His Human Emotions Databank at the Heart Chakra

Pope Benedict in 2008:  The Pope still isn't in touch much; in this particular situation, Benedict's glad of it.

President Bush in 2008:  Honest to goodness, the human emotions are very present to Bush as a person, i.e., about the level of a small boy, as in, "After I finish doing this appearance, Mommy is going to give me a treat."

I'm not joking, unfortunately.  Think about that comment for a short while and you will appreciate what I noted here about being a puppet.  Only a barely functioning, crippled human being, childish consciousness is present inside the head of George Bush.

Otherwise, there is NO experience of human emotion that interests the energies that command Bush.  Evidently the dark forces that run him are not terribly interested in human emotions, period.

Being in Touch with Emotions of Others Databank at the Heart Chakra

Pope Benedict in 2008:  The Pope feels a strong, even urgent, need to help human emotions collectively.  The decisions he makes are for the good of people on the whole.

Okay, this explains to me why he would meet with abuse victims (to help the many in this group feel better) yet not actually propose reforms of any kind (to avoid antagonizing the many, perhaps those who need a church authority who never admits to weakness of any kind).  Thinking is for the millions, not about the small emotions of individual people.

President Bush in 2008:  "Dominate those emotions with fear.  It will make our work easier."  Thus speaks the dark energy that possesses President Bush in this part of his aura.

Interest in Making Changes that Help Real People Solve ProblemS - Databank at the Third Eye Chakra

Pope Benedict in 2008:  Out pours love that will support people in making changes, whatever the specifics of the situation.

President Bush in 2008:  Nobody is home to help with this. The dark forces that move Bush like a puppet have zero interest in supplying this sort of help, so this is one of the databanks where I find the inwardly crippled man alone, inside his head.

However, he isn't thinking about others at all.  He is thinking about himself and how he can make it through the day without getting in trouble.  It is hard for mere words to do justice to the horror of finding this tiny, sick energetic presence belonging to George Bush as a person.  There it is, strangely alone and hiding within the persona of the official leader of the world's remaining superpower.

SPIRITUAL HEALING INTENSIVE, MAY 30 - jUNE 1

Moving forward to an event that you could actually attend, unlike the meeting of Pope Benedict XVI and Bush, let's talk about my upcoming Healing Intensive.

ENERGY HEALING WORKSHOP

Weekend Intensive

Spiritual Healings with Deeper Perception

MAY 30 - JUNE 1, 2008

 STERLING, VIRGINIA

This Spiritual Healing Intensive could make a big difference for you.  It won't stop all the horror in today's current events, but at least it can protect you from many common forms of astral debris, including psychic coercion (which happens to be a big part of what is going on in the world today, affecting you and your loved ones right now).

Here's a story to illustrate why this Intensive could make that kind of difference.  Recently I did a phone session for a client, "Bess," who had a cord of attachment to a very renowned healer, "Max."  Max hadn't just done sessions for Bess.  She explained that Max is a go-to healer for many other healers.

Early in the 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment®, I had to stop and do a huge astral healing.  Max's auric field, including this cord of attachment to Bess, was riddled with thousands of entities, what you might call ghosts.  Only after I cleared them all, and helped them move on to their next place of development, could I go on to help Bess by removing the cord.

After the session, she emailed me.  Given that Max "is mainly giving healings to healers and spiritual people, who are probably overloaded themselves already, and maybe the entities you found were coming from them?"

My answer, of course, is yes.  Entities can come into you through healers.  Sad but, clearly, true.  Also, if you do healing yourself, you may inadvertently be opening yourself up to entities.

Why?  When you study Reiki or other modes of healing, certain skills are taught for protection.  That's good.  But two skill sets are NOT generally taught in any training you might receive as a healer, whether you're an amateur or a professional.

  • Skills for empath's empowerment aren't included; it takes a whole Intensive in itself to learn them properly.  Or else you could do a thorough (not unpleasant, just taking several hours) reading of Empowered by Empathy.

  • Skills to remove astral debris, again, is a complete and specialized skill set.  Anyone can learn it in a weekend, but there's enough to it so that I can't just put a little tutorial onto my blog and claim to teach with integrity.  Instead, I offer a weekend workshop dedicated to these skills.  If you take it, you will learn how to tell if you're in the presence of one of these psychic-level problems, then heal it, on the spot -- super-efficiently, even.
  • I use these healings every day of my life.  It is one of the reasons my work can be as clear as it is.

Click here for details about the Spiritual Healing Intensive.  Seating is limited.  To reserve your space, email Coordinator Julie Schroedl at JulieSchroedl@msn.com.   She can also be reached at 1-540-310-4896, but will respond more quickly if you send email.

DURING SPIRITUAL WAR, WHAT'S YOUR JOB?

Well, friends, I'm ending this zine from a very different perspective than how I began it.  After my disclaimer, moving into the before-and-after-becoming-pope reading, my overall reaction to Cardinal Ratzinger was, "Such a schemer!  Such a tiny smidgeon of spiritual light."

Reading him as a new pope, I was amazed at the power of his office.  Witnessing his transformation was, unexpectedly, an inspiration.

Part Two was begun just for fun, because I thought I was appalled at the "Awesome" comment.  Naively, I supposed that I would be contrasting the pope with an airhead.

It had been so many years since I subjected myself to the horror of the Dubya aura.  Sorry to admit, I think had put the horribly unpleasant experience into denial as much as possible.

My reaction quickly changed when I wrote Part Two.  Soon I was thinking and feeling, "Maybe those cardinals knew all along what a schemer that Ratzinger is.  As the human holder for the great light of being Pope, maybe he's the best we can offer in the battle of Good against Evil."

Zine readers, I still don't believe in a Devil.  But how could I possibly avoid concluding that there really is a battle going on here on earth now, with Good holding out despite Evil?  Consequently, certain questions are raised. "How can I help?  What is my role as a humble lightworker, alive during this momentous time in human history?"

My blog is open to record all the answers that come from youAdd your comments to this thread.  With DEEPER PERCEPTION MADE PRACTICAL you don't have to do anything complicated to subscribe, just click on comments and comment away.  You can even write a long GUEST POST if you prefer.  Email that to me at rose@rose-rosetree.com.

    MY ANSWERS

Yes, I do have some answers.  Not "All The Answers."  Not even "The Answers."  But "My answers."  Here are five resolutions, things I plan to do, and I don't mind sharing them publicly:

    1. Continue to live with as much light as I can, day by day.

That means keeping up with daily spiritual practice.  This is an essential routine I have followed for the last 39 years, although the type of practice changes, as I continue to evolve.  I don't know anyone who can't use a thorough dunking into the light on a daily basis.

    2. Continue to help others live with their light.

My professional work is for this, of course, especially the Aura Transformation sessions, sessions of Energy Release Regression Therapy, and the books to raise consciousness, teaching how to cultivate Deeper Perception.

    3. Continue to use Deeper Perception for discernment.

If you lurk on my blog you have seen this in action – reading everyone from comedians to financial figures to politicians.  We have had many conversations online about discernment with healing, helping people to go beyond hype into smart consumer choices, etc.

For decades I've said (and continue to say, in so many words) that voters need to use Deeper Perception, and if we would only do this, nobody could pull wool over our eyes.

From my readings in this momentous Zine issue, I have two new resolutions:

    4. Be grateful for everyone who works in the light, even if I don't agree with them 100%.

Yes, I salute Pope Benedict XVI now, in a way I wouldn't have done before.

Moreover, I have more perspective than before about why it is so important not to be a perfectionist about lightworkers, politicians, anyone.  (Look to future blog posts for details.)

Even the Cardinal Ratzinger aura is a light year away from the "purity" of the aura of President Bush.

    5. Continue to sound the alarm about wrongdoing. Then bring out the light.

Directly confronting evil does no good.  Instead, Pope Benedict modeled just the strategy: Speak out as best you can.  Then turn away and shine your light.

You need not sound as official as a pope.  Just sound like yourself.  And don't worry overmuch about being polite, because you don't have to explain yourself to a College of Cardinals.  Also, with all respect, you don't have to impress millions of followers.  Pope Benedict couldn't say directly, "President Bush is a spokesman for the most evil forces on earth since the days of Hitler."

But you can.  You can say it in your own language.  Do your own shout-out about the truth and then shine that light.

It isn't enough just to avoid the problems.  Being politically correct may be polite, especially in our super-permissive New Age circles.  But political correctness can also be cowardly.  If you agree with what I have found about Bush, spread the word to your real-life friends, your blog buddies and friends on social networks.
