READING LIFE DEEPER July 2005 Zine Issue 37 by ROSE ROSETREE In this issue: five reasons to develop a crush on this eyebrow You need not speak his language to be inspired by Korean actor, BaeYong-Joon. In fact, he’s a mega-star in Japan. When I taught there recently, his name came up as the celebrity to receive a demonstration reading. Hearing about his magnificent inner qualities while we stared at photos of His Gorgeousness, well… it’s the closest I’ve come yet to seeing an entire group of my students swoon. So, ready or not, here comes Bae. Check out five superb characteristics of his right eyebrow, shown to best advantage in this publicity shot. Before reading my comments, you’re invited to flex your growing muscles as a physiognomist. What do you find most interesting about that eyebrow? To interpret each item of face data, keep in mind that all eyebrow patterns relate to intellectual specialties. And the right one tells you about career, in contrast to personal life (which would show in the left eyebrow). Of course, to tell right from left on any face other than yours, in the mirror, you must “Go flippo.” Switch sides just as you do when shaking hands, your right to another person’s different version of right. Ender: Eyebrow grows fuller toward the ear. Meticulous follow through on any project—that’s the talent. The potential challenge? Perfectionism. Shape on top edge: That deep angle suggests a managerial mindset. Whenever working, I’d expect this actor to observe his surroundings in a detached way. He may uncover problems others wouldn’t notice. Despite the actor’s convincingly sweet expression, that brow angle suggests that you’ll also find within him plenty of shrewdness and steel. Potential challenge? Being intimidating. Shape on bottom edge -- the “inner eyebrow”: Long-time face readers, you’ve never caught me discussing this category before, have you? That’s because most people don’t have a radically different eyebrow shape underneath the one that shows on the top of the brow. But check out that clearly defined lower curve, completely different from what’s above. Plus, extra-thick hair sculpts this “inner eyebrow” as a starter, fuller at the beginning than the end. To me, the category of “inner eyebrow” is about a second aspect of life, a person’s role as World Server. Each of us has both a human life and this spiritual role. But it’s a rare individual where the second role shows on an eyebrow with such definition. This curvy inner brow suggests that, in his capacity as World Server, Mr. Yong-Joon is deeply motivated by concern about people’s feelings. The potential challenge? Worrying that he never does enough. Silky texture: Between makeup, lighting and surgery, it’s hard to know what you’re seeing when you stare at the faces of most American movie stars. Sure, you can read a person who has had cosmetic surgery because it changes the person inside. Still, how refreshing to read authentic face data. Try making someone grow extra-fine eyebrows like these! Surely they’re genuine. The meaning is refined thinking, not that Bae can’t belch with the best of them. Instead, the point is that he’ll automatically express the high end of any concept. In his films (none of which I’ve seen, admittedly), expect this actor to stir deeper sentiments than another performer would do in his place. Given the extra emphasis of his “inside starter brows,” add innovation to the mix. Potential challenge? It’s how Bae would suffer if he had to act like a character in “Dumb and Dumber.” Sculpturesque brows: Here’s another face reading first from Rose--in print, anyway. Occasionally I’ve commented on this characteristic in personal readings, but it’s still mighty rare. Check out the sculpturesque 3-D effect, which accentuates the refined shape of Beh’s right brow. This represents a gift for thinking in ways that are extra memorable. If he acts, that performance will stick to your memory. Were he a fan of bubble gum, watch out! Those bubbles might affect you like super glue. ;-) Apart from this threat of stickiness, the potential challenge is how the man would squirm if he had to think small. Way to go, Bae Yong-Joon, all this in just one eyebrow! Later in this zine, readers, you’ll get to read his aura, too. THE EMPATHS ARE COMING Because of my expanding workload, I'm able to offer my weekend intensive for empaths only once this year. Who’s invited? You, if you’re an empath. How can you tell if you are one? Even one lifelong gift for directly experiencing what it is like to be other people—that makes you an empath. You’re able to gain special kinds of wisdom, plus you can give service with great depth. Yet, until becoming skilled, empaths constantly pick up pain. This will lodge in your aura whether or not you’re conscious of what is happening, akin to a direct deposit being made to your bank account. Only this kind of collection is hardly desirable. Often empaths have multiple gifts (more than 10 are described in Empowered by Empathy). And besides having multiple gifts, some people have a degree of talent that is extraordinary. Still, sometimes empaths are the last to know. Just this week, I did an aura reading report for such a person: Several gifts grace her aura (of course something as significant as an empath’s lifelong gift would show there). Beyond that, this client has such a high degree of talent, it’s as though she walks through life like a human x-ray machine. Yet, typically, she wasn’t sure if the description of empath matched her. So, again, how can you tell if you’re an empath? Alas, there’s no quick way to arrive at a yes or no—just as there’s no 3-minute sound bite to make someone skilled after learning about empathic talent. But you can definitely tell for sure. Chapter 2 of Empowered by Empathy contains three tests that, in combination, can give you certainty. Or you can order one of the $25 Aura Reading Reports described at my website. This summer’s Intensive will last Friday evening through Sunday evening, August 12-14. It will include (pretty darned painless) empath’s fast, flashy techniques to turn empathy on, and the kind of growing experience which lasts a lifetime. By the way, folks from out-of-town, are welcome. We can secure a group rate at a nearby hotel. If you haven’t studied with me before, or you still aren’t sure if you’re really an empath, send along a photo with your application. Only empaths are accepted. For details, visit my website and/or contact Gail Glassmoyer, Intensive Coordinator, at 703-450-1156, or by email: fiftystates@verizon.net. one killer aura Life is fair, when you take the long view. Unlike many who seem to get away with murder, Edgar Ray Killen didn’t need to wait for reincarnation before justice caught up with him. During the Civil Rights era, volunteers came to Mississippi and other southern states. The Ku Klux Klan, America’s most notorious hate group, attracted a different sort of volunteer. These white men believed in race hatred and furthered their “cause” of segregation through violence. Back in 1964, Edgar Ray Killen was part of a group of 18 Klan members who killed three Civil Rights workers. After a film, "Mississippi Burning." dramatized this story, national sentiment was aroused. Many consider these three Mississippi murders a turning point in the Civil Rights Movement. Yet only 7 of the 18 Klansmen were convicted of murder, and none served more than six years. Edgar Ray was tried three years after the murder. But the jury was hung because, as one juror explained, Killen was a Baptist minister, and she never could vote to convict a preacher. Finally, in June 2005, Killen was brought to justice. He awaits sentencing but, for such a proud man, the ultimate indignity may be all the national attention focused upon him. Are you curious, what it does to someone inwardly, living with such a horrible secret for 41 years? Let’s do some sleuthing with Celestial Perception. Check out the part-time preacher’s aura in this set of “before-and-after” pictures. But, please, do this only if you promise to cut psychic ties afterwards… because this man’s energy field isn’t pretty. Fascinating though it would have been to find the Klansman’s photo from 42 years ago, before these murders, he wasn’t a celebrity until recently. So the best I could do for a “before” picture was to find this courtroom photograph. It shows Killen before his conviction. If you’re familiar with reading layers of aura, you can compare all his main chakras to how they changed after the court’s decision. I do suspect that the defendant’s aura while in the courtroom is fairly representative of his aura for decades. Then, you can use this photo to read Killen’s aura after he’d been convicted. It’s an easy-to-read picture with all the main chakras on display. Just use the “Darshan” technique from Empowered by Empathy. (I did.) Here we go, one databank at a time. ROOT CHAKRA, Relating to Society During trial: Proud and angry. After conviction: Deeply shamed. BELLY CHAKRA, Sex Life During trial: Cut off from his sexuality. This isn’t just the impotence you might find in an 80-year-old but a chronic condition. After conviction: Still cut off from his sexuality. Now, also, feeling shamed. SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA, Personal Power During trial: Pride is the key to understanding Killin. He lives mostly from this chakra, holding his light as a very proud man. Ideals of honor and righteousness hold supremacy. And although those ideals may not be yours or mine, one might admire how he has clung to them. After conviction: Killen’s pride has been dealt a death blow. Then, shame has entered the wound. The very size of this chakra’s projection has altered, too, collapsed like a punctured balloon. HEART CHAKRA, Emotional Life During trial: If you’ve ever wanted to check out a frozen heart, here’s your specimen. Rigidly held, the chakra is kept active with what an outsider might call ideology and rationalization. Killen, however, had lived with this chronic imbalance so long, I’m sure that he believed his ideas were emotions… and sacred ones, too. It’s worth noting that this is the heart of a deluded man who has made bad choices, but not an inherently evil man. That label is saved for people whose hearts are ice cold, with neither the desire nor the ability to change. After conviction: Killen’s chronically half-dead heart energy remains, but pain has sliced through the old patterns of self-justification. Remorse is present. It does feel to me, however, that about 90% of the “remorse” he’s experiencing is actually self-pity. THROAT CHAKRA, Communication During trial: In Aura Reading Through All Your Senses, one of the techniques I talk about is the “Lie Detector Test” at the throat chakra. Sometimes new students have the idea that this test gives just two results, “Truthful” vs. “Liar.” Actually, one can find countless variations on the theme of truthfulness. In this one, the man has lived a lie for years yet, very deep down, he knows he did wrong. The resulting infection is concealed under impassioned speech. Rev. Killen’s forceful opinions are at the ready. Were he in the pulpit, rather than the courtroom, no doubt the preacher could draw on this throat-chakra energy to give one powerful fire-and-brimstone sermon. After conviction: Behold that mixture of pride, sorrow, rage and the lingering desire to speak “righteously”! As for the aspect of chronic lying, that seems three times bigger, now. Maybe you’ve noticed a similar growth dynamic in your life. A problem festers for years; when you finally receive a spiritual invitation to do something about it, denial gives way temporarily, therefore, the problem may seem worse than ever. Actually, the problem was always that bad. Now it’s being seen more clearly as part of the opportunity for healing. THIRD EYE CHAKRA, Spiritual Experience During trial: When a man believes he knows all the spiritual answers, he can develop the kind of pride that shows in this fascinating third eye. Even as he sits in the courtroom, a pretzel-twirled ideology makes Edgar Ray a hero in terms of his belief system. After conviction: Jesus on the cross—that’s where Edgar Ray turns for consolation. It’s a markedly different kind of faith than that which sustained him during the trial. HIGH HEART CHAKRA, Soul Expression in Life During
trial: Killen is living with
soul—not beautifully but courageously and tenaciously. Actually, there’s more. In his public appearance, Killen is a kind of representative. His constituents? They’re the countless old-time believers in the values of the old south, or the new-fangled White Supremacists. In my Bible-belt neighborhood, I’ve seen confederate flags on bumper stickers. What good would it do to say, “Hey, guy, you lost that war over a hundred years ago. Slavery was a horror. Change those beliefs, already.” Yet many people change only in the presence of drama. That can include this drama. People are deeply connected, especially those on the same level of consciousness. And Killen’s aura suggests that (to whatever degree knowingly) he starred in a passion play: “One Last Stand for the Good ‘Ole Confederacy.” After conviction: Twenty times bigger than before, the projection at this chakra suggests that Killen continues to live with soul. The dramatically increased amount of light at his high heart—sure it’s unpleasant. Acute pain sears into him. But the hopeful question is this: What will he do with this? Here is one way we could know. So far, guilty sentence or no, Killen has never admitted publicly that he did murder. After emerging from the crucible of this trial, will he finally tell the truth? It has festered within him for 41 years and counting. SUMMER TREATS Face readers, aura readers and empaths—we have some treats for you this summer. Come back to earth delightfully by reading the aura of Bae Yong-Joon. All his chakras are scrumptious. Here, you’re invited to explore his heart, throat and high heart chakras with the “Plug in and Ask” method from Empowered by Empathy. This photo gives you easy access. Heart Chakra: Does the actor’s gift for Holistic Knowing bowl you over? That’s the ability to keep many people in your consciousness, the same ability you may have if you can run a large family or teach a large class, constantly staying aware of how everyone’s doing. For most of us, the best we can manage is to pay attention to self plus one or two others, but not so when a person has the gift of Holistic Knowing. Bae’s version of the gift is huge. He holds multitudes of people in his heart, a world-ful. Moreover, Holistic Knowing pervades his entire aura, as you’ll discover if you read any of his other chakras. In America, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been working hard to make headlines as celebrity activists, dedicated to fighting poverty. Besides now being involved in a good cause, their auras show plenty of talent. Nevertheless, their famous good looks can’t disguise what their auras reveal about self-involvement. By contrast, Bae’s pure heart shows a depth of concern you might not guess from his squeaky clean, wholesome good looks. At the heart chakra, you’ll find someone who has overcome personal pain, then used his hard-won knowledge to reach out to help the world. Throat Chakra: Savvy aura readers know that this chakra will make or break a performer’s career. Absent the karmic windfall enjoyed by celebs like Paris Hilton, popularity usually depends on charisma at the throat. Bae won’t disappoint you here. Confidence blends with kindness. It’s also amusing to see that the actor has the equivalent of a light switch here. He can really turn up the charisma, easily as you or I would flip on an overhead light. Does he turn the glow up on purpose? Either way, it’s wonderful to behold him projecting that huge energy. And it’s comforting to know that he also can live very comfortably, when off camera, with his aura scaled down to a more normal size. High Heart Chakra: Is this celeb doing what thrills his soul? That chakra between the heart and throat is such a tip-off about whether a person’s life expresses soul. Out of 300 people, only one shows a strong connection here. And, until you read auras, you might be amazed to learn how many of the rich and famous aren’t, in this respect, happy at all. Yet anyone could be, and within a week. (If you’d like to learn more, check out the how-to video, Thrill Your Soul: Inspiration for Choosing Your Work and Relationships.) Reading the high heart is always instructive. But with Yong-Joon, it’s also a treat. Not only does his life express soul, but that chakra is full of God light. Many a preacher talks about spiritual surrender. But here is a man who lives it, not just in times of struggle but sharing great good times, too. TWO MINUTES OF DELIGHT Thanks to my friend Chrissie Blaze who gave me the below link.
