READING LIFE DEEPER Face Readings and Aura Readings of People in the News August 2007, Issue 60
by ROSE ROSETREE
In this issue:
the mendacious mouth of alberto gonzales If popularity mattered, Alberto Gonzales would no longer have his job as U.S. Attorney General. The man has become so notorious that I couldn't resist reading his face and aura for this Zine. As I found photos for this article, I realized that his mouth knows every trick in the book… tricks about deception, concealment and outright lying. So let's use a series of photographs to explore the many ways that Gonzales' face shows deception. But first let's read something wonderful about his face. Usually my system of Face Reading Secrets® is used for improving communication. It can help you to find a way to relate better to strangers or friends. In fact, this system adapts the 5,000-year-old art of physiognomy specifically in order to open up a heart of compassion deep within. And Alberto Gonzales does have plenty of good qualities, including an extreme version of something really magnificent. Check out the jaws in this (or any straight-on photograph of him.) This photo, dating from 2003, was published as part of a story in USA Today about a controversy that might seem humorous in hindsight. Back then, Bush was advance-positioning Gonzales to become a Supreme Court nominee. As noted by the paper, Conservatives worried that Bush's staunch supporter might be too liberal. Yet to President Bush, the paper reported, "Gonzales is a trusted aide in an administration that places a premium on loyalty." Bush sure got that right! And so could anyone who uses The Power of Face Reading, because the single most extreme item on the face of Alberto Gonzales is his very wide jaws. And that translates into extreme loyalty. Bush clearly prizes loyalty (as did his father before him). Wide jaws are on display with all of W.'s nominees for the Supreme Court: John Roberts, Samuel Alito and the candidate whose name was eventually withdrawn, Harriet Miers. Now, putting jaws aside, let's read the lips of the most unpopular U.S. Attorney General in memory. Here is a sequence of two photos, clearly taken at the same press conference, both revealing similar mouth data: First, notice the underbite, where lower teeth stick out more than the upper ones. Actually, in both of these photos, Gonzales might not even possess an upper row of teeth, for all we can see. Joking aside, underbites are serious business. They relate to tenacity, often mingled with desperation. Combine that with the aforementioned loyalty, and you may agree that, for his purposes, Bush chose this man well. The sequence of photos also shows Gonzales smiling with the right side of his mouth higher than the left. The asymmetry actually increases in the second photograph. To see it most clearly, take a blank index card. Cover up one side of the face at a time and compare what you see. Directional interlude: How do you tell right from left in a photo? This isn't about the right and left sides of a page, because the only time right and left equate to sides in that way is when a person looks in a mirror. Mirrors reverse our images. So, unless you are looking in the mirror, imagine that you are shaking hands with the person in a photograph; instantly you will switch across to the corresponding side. What is the meaning of a smile, or smirk, with the right side higher? A right-angled smile suggests that you are speaking to impress others, without personal belief in what you're saying. Ironically, this often impresses people favorably. How often have you heard people say, "I love his crooked smile." Alas, these same admirers may find a pattern of being attracted to "Bad boys." Another fascinating mouth movement from Gonzales shows in an official photograph from 2005, Notice what has happened to his upper lip. For this smile, Alberto's lip curls under until it seems to disappear. What is the meaning of this structural change? "I don't need anything from others. I am completely self-sufficient." Vivien Leigh smiled this way, as you may remember from "Gone with the Wind." Again, to some it is a charming look. But the meaning is not so pretty. In personal terms, "I don't need anything" isn't the easiest way to structure healthy relationships. (And, in fact, movie buffs from that era know that mental health was a serious concern for the beautiful actress.) Regarding the slightly less glamorous public figure who smiles, sometimes in the lip-curling way, a hidden upper lip has a more ominous significance for Alberto: Concealing inner motivations, expressing only the very most obvious facts. This could translate into fascinating testimony (were he willing to divulge it), given the Attorney General's other mouth characteristics. MORE TRUTH TROUBLES In fact, we don't have to go far to find out where Alberto's truthfulness is headed, as it were. Notice his lip proportions in this photo. Even more than previous photos, while
speaking, Gonzales shows a lower lip that is about four times as full as the
upper lip. To use a term from my colleague, Lailan Young, these are
Blarney Lips -- corresponding to a gift for persuasiveness. This can be
good. However, in terms of my system of
This photo also shows a sample of mouth pull toward the right, as if the speaker has packed up his mouth in a suitcase which he is hoisting all the way over to one side of his body. As noted in Wrinkles Are God's Makeup (which has far more detail about deception, and how it shows in faces, than I can go into here): "Mouth pulls mean that much of your speech is intended for public consumption. Concerning integrity, this is not a good sign." In English, we have certain expressions that relate to mouth asymmetries as shown by Alberto Gonzales: "two-faced" and "talking out of both sides of his mouth." You can experiment with any of the mouth characteristics I have described here. Go ahead. Make faces. Try the mouth moves on physically. But don't neglect to also notice how they make you feel inside. If you don't like it, that's one big difference between you and the notorious upholder of America's legal system, Alberto Gonzales Esq. Later in this zine, I read his aura. WHAT'S NEW ON ROSE-ROSETREE.COM Did you participate in Firing the Grid, a global meditation in July? If so, you may enjoy the poem I wrote to commemorate the occasion. Some radio interviews are scheduled for August, easy listening perfect for the summer with links available on my homepage. TUCK AN EXTRA VACATION INTO YOUR SUMMER Lately, more of my students, from the U.S. and abroad, have been going to an unusual destination site: My office in Sterling, Virginia. Some come for a Mentoring Session: 5 hours of instruction in anything I teach, your choice, including any combination you desire of face reading plus aura reading plus empaths skills. The $500 fee can be split if you come with one or more friends. Others come to Sterling for a first (or subsequent) package of four sessions of Regression Therapy. Usually these are done as an overnight trip, where you stay at one of the nearby hotels and do two regressions daily. Any combination of sessions you wish is possible. Some visitors combine both Regressions, Mentoring, and sessions of Aura Transformation. We're located about 20 minutes from Dulles Airport, the biggest airport in metro D.C., in a quiet suburban location with relatively civilized driving. Mitch, who schedules sessions, can help you decide which types of session to do here, and when. Call him to discuss your extra vacation plans at 703-450-9514 or email Mitch@rose-rosetree.com. Mitch is also the one to contact about scheduling a personal session with me to help you make more informed life choices (Thrill Your Soul reading), remove cords of attachment , or learn about why, and how, your face is perfect. This summer, I have done phone sessions for clients in many parts of America and the world. It is an easy way to travel into greater wholeness. You can also bring some extra holiday into August with the daybook Let Today Be a Holiday. Each entry gives you a fresh perspective on the day, with a useful technique or tip that you won't find elsewhere. So much has been crammed into this daybook that the publisher (me) took the unusual step of creating a Table of Techniques and a Table of Contents which you can read online. Another way to read the book is to browse by topic, depending on whether you're more interested in Speaking the Truth, Sacred Silence, or Graduate from Cults, etc. If you do choose to read in sequence, your page-a-day progression can start the day you receive it. Click here to order or just call 1-800-345-6665 (within the U.S. and Canada.) ANGEL'S ADVOCATE -- EXPLORING THE AURA OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL Our previous face reading of Gonzales is unusual because it emphasizes problems. Usually, one of my face readings will inspire you. Why? Nearly every item of face data links to a talent. Although I comment on the corresponding challenge as well, this is done in a context that helps you to reframe existing problems. You also wind up giving yourself credit for problems overcome. Just as with my face reading of Alberto Gonzales, but more inspiring, a "personal session" for you need not be done in person, not in the age of photographs and telephones. I would especially recommend a face reading if you are going through a difficult time in your life, if you feel intrigued by the concept of Deeper Perception and want to try something relatively familiar, or if you are considering cosmetic surgery of any kind, because I can provide a true second opinion. Yet most of my sessions involve reading auras, rather than faces. That isn't just because no photograph is required if you want me to read your aura or the auras of people you know well. During these sessions of Aura Transformation, I facilitate healing what I call "stuff." I can read 50 different databanks of information about any chakra in your aura (except for the crown chakra, which is relatively boring on most people right now). And at any of these databanks, I can tell you about innate gifts of your soul, yours for this entire lifetime. I can also comment on "stuff," whether chronic or immediate. Stored up patterns of fear, pain, etc. can really distort an aura. Gonzales is a perfect example of this. Here I will read some chakra databanks, pairing soul-level gifts with stuff. Anyone can release stuff, though doing so can require professional help. For this to work, of course, the desire to change and grow is a prerequisite. It does not appear that Alberto Gonzales believes he has any vulnerability whatsoever, one of many reasons that his aura fascinates me. For this reading of him, you could say that I am playing Angel's Advocate, in contrast to the Devil's Advocate who would be involved were the man a candidate for canonization. Sainthood for Alberto this time around? Maybe not. If you already read auras, read each databank in turn before viewing my comments. Feel free to email your findings to me at rose@rose-rosetree.com. Remember, the goal of Aura Reading Through All Your Senses® is not to duplicate someone else's experiences but to bring your unique insights. The multiplicity of information in auras leaves plenty of room for more than one experience. The first photo I will use shows him at his most soulful, taking the oath as U.S. Attorney General. The second shows him during 2007, defending his performance. At each databank, I will investigate a lifelong gift of the soul, then go into a more nuanced snapshot of what is going on at the time of each photo. Root Chakra databank: Sense of reality, living on earth. Gift of Soul: Deep identification with truth. Cares about justice. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2003: Frightened. Many unresolved traumas. Strong beliefs about good and bad people. Fear of the bad ones. (In the light of his Fundamentalist beliefs, this would clearly include fear of The Devil.) Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2007: Rage at people who dare to question him. "I am doing God's work. Isn't that good enough for you?" Impatience with those who expect him to explain his actions. Solar Plexus Chakra databank: Integrity when dealing with power Gift of Soul: Desire to live a sacred life, protecting others. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2003: Loyalty is a sacred value. Blind obedience. Faith. Self-sacrifice. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2007: I may do whatever I choose. The power and glory of God are on my side. Throat Chakra databank: Verbal integrity, truthfulness, when in public Gift of Soul: A practical, pragmatic man who can talk to people in clear language. A strong defender of his values. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2003: The qualities of a spy, deep dissembling. Structured within the aura is a hidden level of personal identity, motivation, and information which is not revealed to others. (Note: Spy qualities are discussed a bit in Empowered by Empathy. I can also tell you, my Zine readers, that I read auras of Cheney and Lieberman for a story in USA Today, during the first Bush presidential campaign. I noted Cheney's spy qualities. However, an editor drastically rewrote the story to make it appear that I found Cheney to be more intelligent than Lieberman. Interesting?) Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2007: Confusion on the surface. Beneath, dead certainty that he is in the right. Alberto now shows a kind of gloating: "Nobody can touch me." Third Eye Chakra databank: Spiritual integrity Gift of Soul: A strong and beautiful faith, amounting to a significant spiritual vocation. He would give his life for God. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2003: The closed third eye of a true believer who is sure that he knows the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. No interest exists about learning, nor does this third eye display tolerance for those who are "wrong." Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2007: Pain shows here. I suspect Alberto would interpret it as his having to play a part in a big spiritual drama, where the Devil has a lot of power and now is attacking him personally through the media. I would interpret the pain differently, however, as the part of Gonzales that is still healthy and vibrant underneath, where he may feel the strain of constant vigilance to uphold his ideology. Solar Plexus Chakra databank: Intellectual curiosity Gift of Soul: Intellect supports his faith, so Alberto will be interested primarily in learning about matters of relevance to his beliefs. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2003: "Let me learn what will help me to be an advocate (what I would call 'spy') for God." The secret compartment within his intellect is fully formed by this time. Whatever he reveals publicly will be deliberately selected and shown. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2007: Secretly laughing at the opposition. Outwardly, appearing thoughtful and conscientious. "Those who believe will judge me differently." HearT Chakra databank: Emotional growth Gift of Soul: Intense loyalty. Caring about removing ignorance. (Here comes a technical term that some of you may be familiar with: Gonzales has come into this lifetime on the Ray of Shiva.) A passion for spiritual truth. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2003: No growth at present, and few emotions. Instead, ideology predominates. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2007: Passion that he will fight with every fiber of his being for what is right, even if it brings martyrdom. High Heart Chakra databank: Expressing his soul through his life choices. Gift of Soul: A magnificent, strong, loyal crusader for justice. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2003: Not having much fun as a human being. His personal life has been thoroughly subjugated to ideology. Like 299 out of 300 people you'll meet, only more caught up in a cult than most people, Alberto is definitely not expressing his soul in daily life. Present Experience, Including "Stuff" in 2007: Enjoying the components of his experience that include martyrdom. He will keep his secrets until the end. His soul relishes the prospect of proving fidelity, courage and resolve. In conclusion, Alberto Gonzales makes a kind of case study about the growing difficulties of someone who belongs to a cult. The more success one has in terms of the ideology, the worse his contact with objective reality. One of my specialties as a healer is helping people to emerge from cults. Within many religions, especially Fundamentalist ones, many participants (though not all) are controlled by ideology. You can learn more about emerging from cults in "Let Today Be a Holiday." Meanwhile, enjoy reading auras. (And enjoy not being Alberto Gonzales.) PREPONDERANCE OF THE SMALL Presidential campaigns in the past have featured "Town Meetings," where citizens would ask their own questions directly to candidates. This is no longer deemed populist enough, so we Americans witnessed our first YouTube debate on July 23. Candidates got to answer deep questions like this: "If I can go out and into any state and get the same triple grande, nonfat, no-foam vanilla latte from Starbucks, why can't I go to any state and vote the same way?" Yes, at this abysmal and scandalous era in American politics, evidently there is a great yearning for fresh voices. Never mind that the fresh voices aren't asking questions of much significance. Never mind that the candidates can't respond by saying, "Trivial question. Next." Here is how I would have responded, had I been on the podium: "America does have a pathetic rate of voter turnout compared to other democracies. Maybe the problem is that so many people here haven't developed enough consciousness to know that voting matters. Maybe, instead of making a voting booth as accessible as a coffee chain, we could just stop spoiling people any further." What an innovation in American politics! Media could stop treating "The undecided voter" as a highly sensitive person of exceptional thoughtfulness. Politicians could tell whining members of the American public, "Stop glorifying your self-absorption. We will no longer pander to you. When you're willing to follow the issues, pay attention and go to the polls, you will gladly travel a couple of miles in order to vote." Here's a larger question, not cute enough to win a YouTube popularity contest, but maybe worth asking nonetheless: How can you keep your soul intact when the trivial is given equal billing with the important? Question things. Question them publicly. Contact congress and campaign headquarters. Contact radio and newspaper executives. Along with these outer actions, what can you do inwardly to stay sane? Make up your own mind on issues. Search out the facts. Then remember to use Deeper Perception, exploring people and events at a level where nobody, not even Alberto Gonzales, can evade the truth. Do it! Read faces. Read auras. Merge with others wisely as an empath, and learn the truth for yourself. Maybe it won't always be cute or fresh. Sometimes it will be sublime, sometimes startling. But always, deeper investigation will raise up your consciousness. Have you ever read the I Ching, the ancient Chinese oracle? One of the 64 fortunes is called "The Preponderance of the Small." This advice is given: "It is not well to strive upward, it is well to remain below." Where is the best place below? Surely that is wherever you choose to follow your Deeper Perception.
