The latest Harry Potter novel is the best of the bunch, as far as I’m concerned -- and an extraordinarily good bunch it is, too.  Rowling has earned her place among the classic writers of English Literature. 

She also has gone through quite a tale herself, a rags-to-riches story notable for it’s extremes as well as the speed with which it took place.  Suddenly she’s become the fourth wealthiest self-made woman in the world!  Though wearing her success gracefully, Rowling has been forced play a lot of catch-up inwardly… wouldn’t you think?  Well, why guess?  With deeper perception, we can find out. 

First, let’s read her face.  You go first, and feel free to email your comments about what you find.  My reading will follow the photo links. Regarding her name, incidentally, I’ve learned that: 

• Rowling is pronounced to rhyme with “soul thing,”

• The initials J.K. stand for Joanne Kathleen and were used at the publisher’s request so that boys would be willing to try her novel.

• Friends call her Jo.

Here we go, Intrepid Reader, with links to two photos, one dating from 2001.  (You may wish to download this photo so that you can enlarge it for better face reading analysis.)

The second picture was taken last month, when she was interviewed about "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”. 

Let’s start with the two most important things that didn’t change.  Even before she became a household word, Jo had The Fame Trait.  See how her nose favors the right side of her face?  Now, she has a fascinating version of this trait.   There simply is more nose to her nose on that  side, as you can tell by covering up one side, then the other, of her face in the first picture.  The right side of her nose is both fuller and longer.

More commonly, when celebrities have or develop a right-leaning nose, it’s a matter of angle.  From bridge to tip, the nose tilts toward the right.  Sometimes people have this early on but, more commonly, it develops over time. Three famous men whose noses started off left-angled and then turned right-angled are Elvis Presley, John Lennon and George W. Bush. Jo’s version of The Fame Trait is a soul-signature trait—unchanging, how she was born to be.  Only about 10% of anyone’s face data falls into that category.  Nothing about Rowling’s face proclaims “Show off.”  A destiny for fame is a different matter entirely, something she couldn’t have avoided no matter how obscure a writer she’d have liked to remain. 

Another soul-signature trait is Jo’s philtrum definition.  Look at the space between nose and mouth.  Do you see two well-chiselled ridges?  Then you’re looking at somebody else! On a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 as a super-defined philtrum, Rowling scores a 1.  

This is the sex appeal category.  Each person’s face carries a billboard advertising sexuality, and that billboard is placed just so, on the overlip.  Not related to real-life sexiness, sex appeal means what a person projects socially.  

Rowling’s creative energy is otherwise engaged.  Face readers, here’s a research project for you: Observe philtrum definition of writers.  If there’s huge philtrum definition, chances are you’ll find a strong sexual component to the author’s work.  With a more incognito philtrum, that writer is free to emphasize other aspects of life.  And we’ll be studying Rowling more deeply after this break.

Don’t just put sunscreen on your face this summer.  Apply some inspiring self-knowledge.  Yes, summer is a great time to expand your face reading skills.  Here are options you won’t find elsewhere:   

• Celebrate your summer face with a personal Face Reading Session.  If you’re local, you can make an appointment to have this type of session be in person, and come look at my Mirror of Truth, a non-reversing mirror, probably the first chance you’ve ever had to see yourself as everyone else sees you. • Correspondence Course Students are doing beautifully!  This is THE way to deepen your skills, once you’ve read The Power of Face Reading and it's sequel,  Wrinkles Are God's Makeup: How You Can Find Meaning in Your Evolving Face.  It’s a true mentoring program, where you alternate study on your own with in-depth conversations.  And my goal is to help to identify and strengthen what will make you most successful as a physiognomist.  You can test the program by taking just one or two of the sessions, rather than committing at the outset to do the full series.  But the best part may be that final assignment, the elective, where you choose from doing a Life Potential Reading, Life Progress Readings, Compatibility Readings, Cosmetic Surgery Reading, Genealogy Reading, Diversity Reading, Self-esteem Reading or Face Reading for Team Building.

So far, we’ve seen what didn’t change on the face of this much loved writer.  What did change?  Far more than her hair color:

Eye angles—check out both right and left since they can be different.  (New face readers, how can you tell right from left?  Your face in a mirror is reversed.  For everyone else, including their photos, remember to “Go flippo” and cross over in your mind, just as you would for a handshake.) 

Earlier, both of Rowling’s eyes were slightly up-angled, suggesting a guarded optimism about her career and personal life. Later, what happened?

Jo’s right eye became VERY up-angled.   Career-wise, things couldn’t be going better, and her face has registered the experience.

Her left eye, however, turned down-angled.  This is where you see the personal price she has paid for loss of privacy, a (failed) lawsuit against her, carping reviews from jealous writers and so forth.  When deeper perception is available, it’s fascinating to watch celebrity interviews.  In her recent exclusive TV interview, Rowling was wonderfully honest.  I really admire this quote:

“This was something that I always had difficulty with expressing when it had all just happened to me, and everyone wanted my emotions to be very simple.  They wanted me to say, ‘I was poor and I was unhappy, and now I’ve got money and I’m really happy.’ And it’s what we all want to see when the quiz winner wins the big prize, you know.  You want to see some jumping up and down, for everything to be very uncomplicated.  The fact is, I was living a very pure life. There was no press involvement, there was no pressure. Life was very pure and it became more complicated.”

Eyelid thickness changed for Rowling, going from none to large.  This correlates with a shift to her intimacy style, where she went from being emotionally self-reliant to reaching out for more closeness in relationships.  If you know about her story, you may know that Rowling went from a distressing divorce, before the first photo, to remarriage and two more children.  How she went through these life changes shows in the shift to her face.

Chin changes here are wonderful.  In Picture #1, Rowling’s chin is angled at the bottom, while Picture #2 shows a huge curve.  Meaning?  A strong will helped protect the sensitive writer earlier in her life.  No matter what happened, she had the gumption to make her own choices, even if temporarily she had to live on welfare.   The curved chin bottom, by contrast, shows that Jo softened and became more likely to include others when making decisions.

Chin heft has changed as well.  Compare the petite chin in Picture #1 to the much larger version in Picture #2.  Rowling has grown more down to earth.

In fact, if you consider that chin in the context of Priority Areas, wow!  The length from nose-tip-to-chin has gone from the smallest of the three Priority Areas to equal with the other two.   Newbie Face Readers, the other two Priority Areas are hairline-to-highest-part-of-eyebrow and highest-part-of-eyebrow-to-nose-tip.  Picture #1, the latter was by far Rowling’s largest.  Meaning?   

Earlier, Jo’s personality emphasized ambition. Now her forte is balance.  She has learned about how to get along with a variety of people.  Another plus with those Equal Priority Areas is a chance at a balanced life, celebrity notwithstanding.   

Cheek emphasis is one of the loveliest changes to Rowling’s face.  Picture #1 shows low-slung cheeks, with the greatest fullness toward the mouth.  Meaning?  Jo demonstrated exceptional patience with at least one highly difficult significant other.  By Picture #2, she’s developed huge cheek padding all over, with the greatest emphasis out toward the sides of her face.   

So much for the myth that cheek padding is all about being fat….  No way!  Jo is no larger now than before.  For 5,000 years, physiognomists have known that cheeks reveal power style.  Of course, Jo’s power style has had to change, coping with that huge wealth, fame, and spiritual influence (more on this part when reading Jo’s aura later on).   

In my system of Face Reading Secrets®, far-set cheeks mean extraordinary stamina, useful for carrying a long-term project to completion.  Just what we Harry fans are looking forward to in Harry Seven!

Here’s my response to the terrorist strikes in England and Egypt.  What is the opposite of terrorism?  You may have your version of the answer already.  Mine is below. 

Grace Strikes 

The grace of God is unexpected, too.

You will be working, trying, worrying.

Then the packed train just stops,

the usual lights go out,

irrevocably, a new time has come.

But unlike terror, grace does not bring death.

Nor need it bring a change of any kind

for someone else to see

inside turned out

or shouting louder than your usual voice.

Grace will not strike with a cruel, random force.

You must rise up, requesting in your way,

then wait.

Prayer’s only victim is

the one who won’t sing out, too proud for love.

That is not you.

Active be your call.

Yet afterwards you still will have to wait

in line, or wade through doubts, or else await

who knows what? Wondering

just doing nothing, makes a map for grace.

And when the miracles peek their way in

a different kind of wonder can find you.

May that stealth peace delight you every time

change you, change me

sun breaking through a cloud

when least expected. Come rewire each brain,

electrify our blood, beat in our hearts

until un-shockable, in God’s deep trust

wherever we may go

we know our own.

THE MAGIC IN ROWLING'S AURA

Which soul-level gifts show in Jo Rowling’s aura?  Where does the magic show?  And how has she evolved, after becoming the best-known author on earth?   

Here we go, aura readers.  Let’s compare the same two photos as before, from 2001 and from 2005, starting from the root chakra up.   

Remember that chakra information builds up in layers, each one corresponding to a chakra, so for the root chakra you investigate closest to the body; the second layer is the equivalent of the belly chakra, etc.  Plug in and ask, as described in Empowered by Empathy, and you’ll do just fine!  

Another discovery that I use in reading auras is the importance of choosing each databank within a chakra.  If you’ve ever had a tarot reading, you’re familiar with the principle: Call for the information, then find it.

In a tarot spread, the card reader decides in advance the significance of each card, e.g., 1st card about a relationship, 2nd card about finances, 3rd card about hopes and fears, etc.  Then through the consciousness of the reader, each card drawn applies to that specific context. 

Similarly, at each chakra you could look for a variety of databanks.  Decide first which you’re investigating and then the information will arrange itself accordingly.   

After you do research on your own, come back and read my observations below.

REALITY DATA BANK at the Root Chakra: How does Jo relate to life on earth?

Photo 1: Here Rowling shows a greater commitment to imagination than to physical reality.  This isn’t a delusion, of course, just an orientation that helps her to be a novelist.  Primarily she uses life around her as a springboard to creativity.  Overall size at this chakra is small.

Photo 2: Substantial now, this chakra is full-bodied, very much more aligned with earth reality.  And, most remarkably, Rowling has gone from a very personal, imaginative focus to having compassion as a world server.

“Well, duh!,” some of you more sophisticated aura readers may be thinking.  “Anyone this successful had better be able to think globally.” Well, lest you assume such a thing, may I direct your attention to most big movie stars? Not that I’ll name names here, but often as a performer’s fame increases, he or she will become more self-absorbed, not less.  (Or, perhaps, he or she will start out self-absorbed and stay that way.)

CREATIVITY DATA BANK at the Belly Chakra: How does Jo access her creativity?

Photo 1: Joyfully!  She’s resourceful, with vivid inner experiences.  No wonder this is chakra constitutes the biggest part of her aura at the time of this photo.

Photo 2: The chakra still is huge, even more developed.  I note the presence of what I call “scar tissue.”  She’s undergone struggle over her creativity and healed it.  Magnificent!

POWER DATA BANK at the Solar Plexus Chakra: How does Jo hold power in public?

Photo 1: Intrepid, Jo doesn’t carry a great deal of power at the time of this photo.  What motivates her is rage, especially at injustice.

Photo 2: Huge power is available to Rowling now.  Consistent with the rest of her aura, feminine energy dominates.  That’s a form of power most of us don’t see much in famous folks—where strength comes from being and caring, rather than doing or pushing.

PERSONAL EMOTIONS DATA BANK at the Heart Chakra: What does it feel like, being Jo Rowling?

Photo 1: Sensitivity, empathic talent (the gift I call Emotional Intuition) and romanticism are uppermost.  Negative stuff at this chakra includes resentment and rage.

Photo 2: Emotionally, Jo is much stronger.   Loyalty has increased.  She knows more about distinguishing friends, fans and enemies.

COMMUNICATION DATA BANK at the Throat Chakra: What is her comfort zone for self-expression?

Photo 1: Jo’s life may be humble at this point, but exceptional impact shows here.  Feminine energy dominates, giving her huge yet unobtrusive clout.

Photo 2: If possible, her throat chakra has become more glorious.  Jo has strengthened her ability to express herself humanly and creatively.

SPIRITUAL SERVICE DATA BANK at the Third Eye Chakra: Everyone can help the world spiritually, and a specialty for service is often encoded right at this databank.

Photo 1: Wow!  Not only is this a huge part of Jo’s aura, but she’s connected to dimensions beyond earth. This is where her genius shows.   Built in here is a mechanism for slowing down higher-vibe knowledge and making it work, even on this dear but plodding planet.

Photo 2: Genius continues, and Rowling is very, very protected now.  Divine Beings help her.   This is a sacred work she has pledged herself to, after all, and in keeping with spiritual law she is given just the help she needs.   

LIFE EXPRESSING SOUL DATA BANK at the High Heart Chakra (located between the Throat and Heart Chakras): This databank is the most fascinating of all, to a spiritual seeker.

Photo 1: Soft gold!  Rowling is doing huge work for the world.

Photo 2: More dense, shimmering gold!  Yes, she really is living with soul, doing just what she’s come here to do.  May Rowling’s integrity and courage inspire us all.
