Kerry’s Non-Violent Aura

Hearing Kerry’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, a British friend of mine was alarmed at his militaristic tendencies.

For her (and others not familiar with the sticky ins and outs of American politics) it may be helpful to learn some of the back story.  Since Nixon ran for president, some 30 years ago, Republicans have “owned” the field of military strength.  Later they annexed the turf of “family values."

Kerry’s brilliant strategy in his speech was to reclaim both terrains for the Democrats, thereby aiming to win over swing voters and even security-minded Republicans.  The same Saturday my British friend’s email reached me, my 13-year- old son spent the day playing with his two best friends.  Both come from military families, with parents who met while in uniform.  One of these parents has put his uniform on again; he’s now in Afghanistan.

Normally I avoid political conversations with these friends, given our different takes on patriotism.  Maybe, now, they won’t think that all Democrats are like me— unabashedly liberal, tree-hugging, feminist, peace-mongering “wimps.”

More relevant to this zine, I’m also an aura reader and face reader.  Maybe you are, too.  So I invite you to join me in checking out Senator Kerry.  In some special supplements to this zine, I’ll soon do readings on Kerry’s wife, Edwards and his wife.  Then, in the next installment of my zine, I’ll do the major Republicans.  Today’s zine carries three short articles just on JFK the second…. After I make one more comment on the topic of hawkishness.

WHAT THRILLS CHENEY

Four years ago, I closely scrutinized auras of America’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates, especially during their televised debates.  Viewing Dick Cheney’s aura for the first time, I was struck by his detached self- presentation.  More skilled than many actors, Cheney deliberately used expression and body language to mask the genuine emotions that rippled through his aura.

Only two topics really excited him:  Drilling for oil in Alaska and going to war.

None of the other three candidates then—or now—are hawks like Cheney.  Whether you read their auras or faces (or website summaries of their political aims) you’ll find huge differences between the candidates.  To my anti-Establishment friends turned off by America’s two major political parties, certain they’re horribly similar, I say with all respect, “If you think they’re similar, take a closer look.”

And if you’re eligible to vote, I urge you to study the positions of the candidates, backed up by all you can learn directly from using deeper perception.  Then, whatever you decide, be sure to cast your ballot this November.  It’s hugely important.

HIGHEST FIRST

An excellent photo for reading Kerry shows him making his acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention on July 29.

If you’re going straight for the bottom line, when reading the auras of presidential candidates, one chakra is a must. That’s the high heart, located off the body between the heart and throat.  This chakra (as you may know from my video workshop, “Thrill Your Soul: Inspiration for Choosing Your Work and Relationships”) is about expressing one’s soul in everyday life.

Check out this chakra on Kerry.

It’s huge and filled with solid gold, which to me symbolizes a divine blessing.

What makes the high heart chakra so important to read?  I’ve studied video clips from every televised presidential debate since the first one, Nixon vs. Kennedy.  In every election, without exception, the candidate who won showed this same “destined to win” divine blessing in his high heart chakra.

The one possible exception was the Bush vs. Gore scenario. Gore was the one with the glowey high heart, not Bush.  Of course, Gore did win the popular vote and--many believe, if not thwarted by the multi-leveled election fraud documented by Michael Moore in his bestselling expose, Stupid White Men—he also won the election.

Checking out Kerry’s other chakras, I invite you to investigate gifts of his soul, plus any problems you notice, and feel free to email me what you discover—to Rosetree@Starpower.net. I’m interested to learn what you, with your highly individual gifts for aura reading, discover.  As you know, your deeply personal gifts for Celestial Perception are tied into your own spiritual mission.  Of course, all aura readers access different information.  Only physical reality can even pretend to boast truth that is one-size-fits-all.

Now let’s explore Kerry’s main chakras, as photographed during his speech in July 2004.  Right from his root chakra, fascinating things await.

HAIL SHIVA

Kerry relates to physical life as a fighter.  He’s serious, tenacious.  Scar tissue at the level of his root chakra shows that he has healed many traumas to regain his trust in life. Though not suspicious without cause, he’s hardly overly trusting, either.

Most characteristic of Kerry at the root chakra is his grimness.  Acutely aware of problems, this quality corresponds to the VERY down-angled eyes that I’ll be discussing later in his face reading.

To the degree that voters sense Kerry’s grimness, they may be turned off.  Few of us would care to live that way.  If elected, Kerry will be the first president since Lincoln on the vibration of Shiva.

To expand on my metaphysical shorthand, each person comes in one of the planet’s three major vibrations.  Using a metaphor from Hinduism, many people are aligned on the frequency of Brahma.  We’re at our best when creating what is new.

Even more people (the majority of human beings) have incarnated under the vibe of Vishnu:  Enthusiasm, even creativity, flourish most in the context of maintenance. Developing what already exists, manifesting, refining—this is a second glorious way to co-create with God.

The third frequency is rarest.  The Shiva vibration means that a person specializes in removing what doesn’t belong.  Talk about thankless tasks!  Appearing to destroy isn’t the most fun job on earth.  Yet souls are desperately needed to embody this boundary-setting, no-nonsense, clear-away- the-underbrush function.  In my experience, many of the people who live on the Shiva vibration are among the most deeply loving beings on the planet.  Just don’t expect them to be mushy.

Republicans have politicians on this vibe, too.  Vice President Cheney works with Shiva. So does Senator John McCain.

Better Face Reading

Can you improve your face reading skills?  Definitely.  And what could be more fun?  Not only will you gain insight into other people, quite possibly you’ll rehabilitate your relationship with your very own nose… or other least-loved face part.

If you’re in metro D.C., you can have a one-on-one session with me where we focus on the talents that show in your face. It will include looking in my Mirror of Truth, a non-reversing mirror that will show you in detail how everyone else in the world sees you.  As you probably know, regular mirrors flip your face over—useful for styling your hair but otherwise shockingly distorting.

Similar sessions can be done by phone, if you’ll just send front and profile mug shots, by regular mail or email.  By the time we get to a spiritual gift, and tie your face strengths to it, you’ll be glad you did the session.

Additional types of face readings are available, too, in person or through the mail, all at $100 U.S.: Cosmetic Surgery Consults (for those considering surgery who wish a true second opinion); Compatibility Readings for couples; and—best of all—Life Progress Readings, where we compare photos of your face from babyhood on, showing how your personal evolution outpictures right on your visage.  Should you have this kind of reading in person, I’ll supply free hankies.

If you live in Seattle, L.A., Tokyo, Las Vegas, Richmond or N.Y. City, let’s have some face time.  I’ll be “heading” your way this year, giving workshops on face reading plus personal sessions. As plans firm up, additions will come onto my website, so check there when you have a chance. And please tell your friends I’m coming.

Wherever you live, you can take my Correspondence Course for Physiognomists. It can help you develop professional- level skills.  You’ll master my trademarked system, be mentored to accentuate your original approach and personal strengths in the field, then do some original research of your own.  The complete four-session package, including four mentoring sessions with me, goes for as little as $350.  You can take all or part of the training. See details on my classes page

Here’s looking at you, kid!

Kerry’s Other Chakras

Do some reading of him on your own, just for fun.  Again, I’d recommend this photo:

As for which technique will get you into a detailed reading, I’d recommend the Darshan Technique from my how-to, Empowered by Empathy. That’s what I use….

Sexual chakra: Kerry definitely weighs in here as pure guy. Plenty of sexual energy emanates, yet it’s intensely personal. Unlike many politicians who subconsciously channel their sexiness into personal charisma (Bush, Clinton), Kerry wouldn’t begin to know how.

Intellect at the third chakra: Immensely capable as a thinker, Kerry’s not an intellectual so much as a pragmatist. Gifts include the ability to juggle many projects at once, the ego strength to handle uncertainty and, most notably, patience with negotiation.  Scar tissue, ample in this databank, suggests that Kerry hasn’t merely survived political battles in the Senate.  He’s learned tough lessons about forgiveness, humility and quiet persistence.

Power at the third chakra: Thirst for power shows bigger than any of Kerry’s other databanks.  You might expect this in anyone crazy enough to run for president. Ugh!

At least, I don’t notice ego hooks here, though. Instead, there’s a sense that “At this fateful hour, I am eager to do what is necessary.”  Still, this super-sized desire for power, if subconsciously noted by voters, will seem unsettling.

Emotional chakra: Here’s my favorite chakra of a highly complex man. Two main layers show.

Even while steadily delivering his big Convention speech, at the heart, Kerry is facing down a deep fear.  Yes, a great deal hinges on how well he’ll do this night.  A sense that all is at stake, not just for him, but for what he believes in, weighs on this man’s emotions. Weighted by the disappointments he’s experienced, personally and politically, Kerry’s heart vibrates with an existential, do-or-die terror.  Yet he soldiers on.

Beneath the emotions of the moment, you can read another heart chakra pattern.  He’s emotionally honest, fully committed to what he’s doing and, therefore, vulnerable. In a very different context, Marilyn Monroe had this quality.  Look at any of her posed photos, read her aura, and you may find what I did:  She gave 101%, nothing held back.  Kerry, being considerably more psychologically stable, doesn’t give to the point of putting his sanity at risk.  But for the kind of man he is, from the heart, he too is giving all that he has.

Spiritual chakra: What will we find in the third eye of this Catholic candidate?  Golly, will we find something so horrendous that a priest really would be justified in denying him communion? ;-)

(You may know this has happened to Kerry, although the priest’s motivation just might have been political more than spiritual. If everyone who gave out those communion wafers first checked out each celebrant’s aura to make sure it passed muster, well, wouldn’t that be interesting?)

For many Catholics (and ex-Catholics) whose third eyes I’ve read, religion seems to be about following the rules.  Or about belief in suffering.  Neither of these sad patterns shows in Kerry’s amply proportioned third eye.  Instead there’s an extraordinary degree of spiritual surrender.

POLITICIANS CAN EVOLVE, TOO

Long-term readers of this zine may remember that, back in February I started reading faces of all major contenders for the Democratic nomination.

I decided to hold off on publicly sharing my aura readings until a candidate had been chosen.  You’ve just seen how detailed these readings can be!

In my notes back then, however, I did read auras of all the candidates.  Exploring Kerry’s throat chakra, dating from his interview with Jay Leno, I noted “minor grease, trying to come across in a more sympathetic, heart-oriented way than he really thinks.  This is not his authentic way of communicating in life.”

Putting on a façade under the circumstances is understandable.  (Ever been on one of those national talk shows?  Even if you’re not running for president, they can be scary, let me tell you.).  Still, Kerry’s throat chakra turned me off.

Glad to report, Kerry’s verbal congruence has returned. When giving his most important speech to date, that throat chakra was solidly in place: Forceful, serious, authentic.

To read Kerry’s face, see the final article of today’s zine.

20 Cities, 20 Weeks, and a Ton of Heart

When Catharine Rambeau tours, her only “motorcade” is her own motorcycle.

This 20-city tour isn’t political. She’s raising money for a bi-partisanly rousing good cause, a children’s hospital, St. Jude.

If you know what’s good for you, don’t call this 69-year-old motorcycle rider “feisty.”  As she explained to me, once, no man would be called that.  Personally, I’d substitute words like “original, unsentimental, generous, brilliant, funny.”

If you relish when people--and quirky places--are called by their rightful names, you’ll really enjoy Catharine’s free journal as a road warrior.  It's worth bookmarking.

As a writer Rambeau is un-self-consciously stylish, given to hairpin turns and “fast-braking news” in unexpected places.

No Frankenstein

At least one man at my church is no fan of Kerry’s. Asking what I saw in the candidate’s face, my buddy from church clearly expected to hear me dish dirt.  So he prefaced his request by saying, as charitably as he could, “I suppose it’s not his fault if he looks like Frankenstein.”

Face reading, of course, isn’t about playing stereotype lotto. It’s about interpreting physical data, in terms of both talents and potential challenges.  Using that alphabet, as you’ll find it in my how-to, The Power of Face Reading, here’s my short list of Kerry’s most significant facial characteristics.

Yes, Kerry does share certain commonalities with the horror movie guy.  Let’s start with them:

Forehead wider than cheeks or jaws: The passion power style is, actually, the most common style found in U.S. Presidents. (How come? See Wrinkles Are God's Makeup, pages 171-173.)

Among “normal” people, the style is rarer, found on 1 in 200. Folks with this style are inwardly intense, outwardly dynamic, accomplishing more than others.  Potential challenge?  It’s burning out business associates.

Large chin: The corresponding talent is bouncing back from adversity.  The potential challenge is excessive risk taking, including questionable ethics.

What makes Kerry’s chin seem extra large is the facial proportions of his Priority Areas.  Nose-to-chin (Priority Area III) is far longer than hairline-to-eyebrows or eyebrows-to- nose tip.  Which talents are associated with an extra-large Priority Area III?  Meet credibility, pragmatism, practicality and a built-in B.S. detector.  The potential challenge? It’s impatience with abstract theory.

THOSE SAD EYES

Former Senator Max Cleland, speaking at the Democratic Convention, referred to Kerry’s “long, sad eyes.”  To many people, down-angled eyes are a stereotype, always meaning sadness.  Face reading, of course, invites us to look beyond these easy stereotypes.

From the perspective of my system of Face Reading Secrets®, Kerry’s extremely down-angled eyes aren’t about a mood.  They signify a problem-solving orientation, motivated by exceptional compassion.  The potential challenge is coming across with a degree of seriousness that others find off-putting.

The angles of Kerry’s eyes are accentuated by the bags under them.  These eye deepeners result from serious introspection when life doesn’t go smoothly.  It’s always interesting to see which are larger on a person over 30, the deepeners or eye extenders.  In repose, for Kerry, it’s definitely the deepeners.

When he smiles, however, huge eye extenders spread across his temples.  Often linked to affability, so-called “crow’s feet” signify turning to others for help during tough times.  George W. has a small set of these as well.  Unlike Bush, however, Kerry’s extenders move all the way across his cheeks.  To see the difference between these men’s eye doodles, compare their photos:

John Kerry

George W. Bush  (See the large photo on the right.)

Bush lacks eye deepeners, and his eye extenders stop short at the power area.  This suggests that he reaches out to others without accompanying introspection, and that the consolation from others does not affect his dealings with power.

Both men have in common an arched nose, seen in profile. This signifies a bent toward creative work—putting together resources to shape one-of-a-kind projects.  What’s the potential challenge for a president with this kind of creativity? It’s a disinclination to do work strictly by the book.

SAY CHEESE

By far the most fascinating thing to me about Kerry’s face is his uncommonly wide repertoire of cheek emphasis.

On many faces, cheeks never stick out, in one direction or another.  Not so for Kerry.

When his face is in repose, you’ll see very prominent high cheekbonesThis corresponds to a gift for using his power to uphold his values.  Whether it makes him popular or not, when he spots people attempting to do what’s wrong, he’ll object, loud and long, until he gets results.  Potential challenge here is obvious, isn’t it?

When Kerry smiles, however, the cheeks show another emphasis, one even less common.

Smiles, of course, symbolize reaching out to others.  Thus, they reveal personality.  By contrast, a face in repose reveals what someone is like, deep down—character rather than personality.

For personality, it’s significant that Kerry’s smile  shows a prominent pair of far-set cheeksThis suggests long-term courage, the will to tackle a problem, whether it’s popular or not, however long the struggle takes.  What’s the potential challenge?  The cheek wearer usually has this gift only because it will be needed.  His or her life contract contains at least one long-term project that requires special stamina, be it a difficult spouse or child or…. perhaps in Kerry’s case, leading a difficult nation.

Li ncolnesque Kerry

I am sure JFK's Lincolnesque looks are no coincidence.  I don't know if you are familiar with the Mayan 36/72 calendar cycle for US politics, with 36 years marking right/left swings of the pendulum and 72 the inauguration of a great leader in a time of national difficulty (1788, 1860, 1932).  Well, no surprise when the next 72nd year is, nor in which direction the pendulum is likely to swing.

Questions of Impartiality and Golden Light

Hi!  As always, I looked forward to receiving your exciting zine.  However, unlike all other detached readings you do, you seem VERY political and partial in reading Kerry's face.  If you see a person's heart as filled with solid gold, only because YOU identify with his policies, then what if "I", as a face reader with different political views, see that same heart as evil?   Who is right?  There must be a standard impartial of politics.

p.s., I would still love to see an honest reading of Rush.

Shaye Wachsman, NY

Dear Shaye:

Some politicians, like some celebrities, do have extraordinary auras.  As for a gold light in the high heart of a campaigning candidate, as I mentioned, I've seen it EVERY time, in every election.

Of course, one must vote based on the facts, with subtle perception as part of the picture.  And there are so many sides to all those facts.  I do my very best to be objective and put politics aside.

As time permits, some day, I’d be delighted to read Rush in the zine.

Hope this helps,

Rose
