What are the most important trends today for books about mind-body-spirit?  Freshly returned from the Frankfurt Book Fair, Rose shares some unconventional thinking.

THE GREAT LEAP

Sometimes you must go to Norway to learn about your future.  At the Frankfurt Book Fair, I did the next best thing, traveling north courtesy of a surprisingly in-depth conversation with a Norwegian publisher.

Nina Normann Ferguson, Managing Editor of Bokkluben Energica, had spoken with me before at other book fairs. But this time, in Germany, we had our first official sit-down appointment, her questions uncommonly thoughtful and interesting.

I found myself putting into words my northernmost, future-most thoughts.

We were sharing thoughts about books. What are the most important trends today for books about mind-body-spirit?

Zine readers, maybe you'll agree with the following vision in this article, my dream of a great leap for humanity.  Or, perhaps, your personal vision will speak up loud and clear, very differently.  Either way, surely it's good for us to take an occasional look at our future.  As a reader, as a leader, what are your most outrageous desires for us all?

BETTER THAN ANGELS

Today, Norwegian publishing shares a trend with other European nations, and this American one.  Angels and channeling rule.

Well, what kind of weirdo doesn't like angels?

I am not that weirdo… exactly.  In my experience, working with angels and guides has many advantages.  Yet I yearn for our books to make the great leap: When will those who love angels move forward to co-create with spiritual source?

In my version of our collective future, people will stop using spirituality as a way to become more otherworldly. Instead, we will steadfastly move into this world, Earth School, the extraordinary one-room schoolhouse where grades are not labeled (at least, not labeled properly) and all human beings are evolving.

Divine Beings, at the highest level of vibration, are just as easy to connect with as spirit guides.  After all, they're in our classroom, too.

In order to connect, all we need do, is to think one name once, perhaps Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Saraswati, Athena, Kwan Yin, or St. Germain.  Take your pick of any Ascended Master or Archangel.  Or simply call on the most adorable, completely impersonal, force in the Universe: God.

Easy does it -- one simple thought and you will call forth help from the very highest realms.

In my new book, Cut Cords of Attachment, I describe this process as fully as I can at my present state of development.  You'll even find a theory base for healers about the importance of making an "Energy Sandwich." Mainly, the new book teaches how to do a specific kind of surgery at the level of auras, removing energy flows that are not the self.

Just as cleanliness is next to Godliness, clearing out astral-level cords can enhance a person's ability to be, authentically be.

Why not become wide awake inside?  Nothing flashy, it's just the self.

Yet I believe this is humanity's next great leap forward.  For decades, thousands of lightworkers have been leaping like dolphins, each one of us doing our best to wake up and be.  When enough of us do this together, how high can we go?  Will we fly like angels, or dolphins, or humans?  Where will we land, and how will life be then?

MISSING PERSONS 

Overwhelmingly, however, the trend is to ask spirits to do the leaping for us.  For millions of book readers, the mind-body-spirit field makes spirit more important than spirituality.

For example, here's what happened to me on a recent book tour at Circles of Wisdom, in Massachusetts.  After I gave a workshop, a student came up to me and said in hushed tones, "While you were teaching, I saw green light around you.  Who was that, your spirit guide?  Is he green?"

The class I had been teaching was typical.  Mediums, angelic healers and animal communicators greatly outnumbered the plain-vanilla-type seekers.  You know, the people whose spiritual focus is… just plain folks.

Surely you've noticed the same demographics.  Either a person belongs to a fundamentalist cult, or does nothing spiritually (although neither of these groups is represented in my typical workshop.)  Otherwise the person yearns to meet angels, speak with dead people, or talk to animals.  Rarely will you meet a mere seeker of self-actualization.

Have you, too, noticed this?  And have you also found this, frankly, just a bit weird?

Sometimes, over the last few years, I wonder if I've landed in the Department of Missing Persons.  Despite my respect for the flashier sacred paths, I can't help protesting.  When did dead people become more respected sources of wisdom than the living?

Not to disparage my talented friends who speak with angels or animals, many seem to reserve their deepest loyalty for the non-humans.

I look forward to the day when students in my classrooms will say, "I'm a human communicator." or "My goal is enlightenment, fully showing up as myself, a co-creator with God."

LEAPING INTO SELF-KNOWLEDGE

I believe this is our destiny: Some day, spiritual seekers will value information from their own human auras.  They'll find this at least as interesting as anybody's spirit guides.

Waking up each person's gifts for deeper perception, however it's done -- not just through the methods that I have been given to teach -- this will be needed before we can make that great leap into enlightenment.

Let us live by honoring each of our sacred selves: Human, connected to spiritual Source.  Sure each of us has an angelic entourage, complete with guardian angels and spirit guides galore.  We also have feet and elbows, but who spends a whole lot of time worshipping them?

Instead, we could honor the glorious otherness of other humans, perceiving That, dancing with That, serving That, learning from That.

Even if you cared most about pleasing your angels, you couldn't choose better.
