INTEGRITY READINGS IN TIME FOR THE NOVEMBER ELECTION
In America, November’s mid-term election
is full of promise, even if the campaigns themselves seem more replete with
insults than promises. Media coverage brings you the smears, the ads, the polls
and occasionally the issues. With Deeper Perception, we don’t aim to cover at
all — but instead to uncover.
So for this zine issue about Election
2006, I’ll pair photos of candidates in some of America’s key elections,
providing
expanded Integrity Readings. Here’s what I’ll examine — and you can too:
Verbal
Integrity, at the Throat Chakra: This means whether the candidate tells
the truth, puts up a significantly phony façade, covers up truth, etc.
Action
Integrity, at the Solar Plexus Chakra: Actions really do speak louder
than words, making this an especially important category for politicians. I live
in Loudoun County, Virginia, where years ago The Washington Post reported a shocking story
that helped propel me toward doing integrity readings. Several recently elected
officials confessed that their hidden political agenda was (and I paraphrase) “to make Virginia
more Christian, like how things were supposed to be, obvious to everyone who
read the Bible.”
Spiritual
Integrity, at the Third Eye Chakra: Here’s where spiritual life shows,
including religious hypocrisy or a strong connection to Source. Does the
pristine data from someone’s aura match up with public pronouncements? Often,
it’s just the opposite. In the words of a great spiritual, “Everybody talkin’
bout heaven ain’t goin’ there.”
Face Data
Related to Integrity: A very small number of items show long-term
problems with integrity, with interpretations drawn from my system of Face
Reading Secrets®. I’ll assume integrity in faces, 10 points, and subtract
points for problems with face data that could be related to lack of integrity.
Total Integrity
Score: Each of the three aura databanks read here will receive a score
from 1-10, and the same for the face. I’ll present the total Integrity Score for
each candidate out of this sum of 40 possible points.
What are auras?
They’re the energy bodies around each person’s physical body. Auras are more
than colors. In fact, your perception of them may not involve colors at all. Auras are worth reading because they contain bits and bytes of information. This
data is organized in energy centers called chakras.

people, it isn’t difficult to investigate chakras in regular photos. You can

Before you read my comments, check out
the link to each photo and do your own reading. Another way to supplement my
readings is to compare the readings to the subject's actions. The actions
of politicians are in the public record and therefore easy to learn about.
At this point, it’s important to sound a
note for common sense: Deeper Perception is no substitute for paying attention
to the facts. Never, ever vote for someone based on Deeper Perception alone.

Here in Virginia, where I never miss an
election, I stay informed about our politicians, but I’ve avoided paying much
attention to the out-of-state contests described here, so add your insights! I’ll be reading with interest.

THE FACE READINGS
Now for some tips about face reading as
we begin. With the face reading, it’s important to tell right from left. Unless
you’re looking in the mirror, cross over, as if shaking hands. That little
inward flip will help you to find the right or left side of another person’s
face, whether in person or on a photograph. In my system of Face Reading Secrets®, the right side is about behavior in public
(as with politicians’ promises),
while the left side reveals how someone acts with people he or she knows well.
I’ll also include, in the face reading
category, when a candidate projects a very strong image -- technically known as a
façade. If this is in sharp contrast to either the face or the aura, I’ll take
away points for integrity.

IN PENNSYLVANIA:
Sen. Rick Santorum, the incumbent, is
running against Bob Casey.
SENATOR RICK SANTORUM
Here’s
Senator Santorum's photo
Verbal
Integrity, at the Throat Chakra: Admittedly, this is a posed, official
photo where Santorum is trying extra hard to project an image. Unfortunately,
his integrity (the aspect concerning public life) doesn’t look great. On
the other hand, his personal-life-integrity, with people he knows well, is doing fine.
If you’re Rick’s buddy, you’ll benefit
from his soul-level gift for being warm-hearted, genuine and uncommonly
generous. However, public life is a different game for Rick, and that’s where
his integrity isn’t doing so well: Proud, super-dignified image, no
vulnerabilities and no flaws. That’s what he’s sending out here. Being a shining
example of perfection isn’t done by faking it. Golly, are folks out there
calling him “Sanctimonious Santorum”? Score: 3 out of 10.
Action
Integrity, at the Solar Plexus Chakra: A gift of Rick’s soul here is that
he’ll stand up for what he believes in. Stuff in here, however, makes him just a
tad greasy. Seems to me he’s a little over-eager to
compromise. Score: 7 out of 10.
Spiritual
Integrity, at the Third Eye Chakra: Here I’m delighted to notice a
strong, authentic, moderately-sized connection to Santorum’s spiritual source.
It’s worth noting that (at the time of this photo) Santorum’s third eye suggests
that he believes in a harsh, punitive God. Score: 10 out of 10.
Face Data
Related to Integrity: Smile very crooked and angled toward the right. This suggests valuing public speech over private principle, with the potential
challenge of lying to impress people, saying things he doesn’t believe. In
addition, Santorum has the lip proportions my colleague Lailan Young has named
“Blarney Lips,” with a lower lip many times fuller than the upper lip. Santorum
has an extreme version of this, combined with a compromised throat chakra. Score
1 out of 10.
RICK SANTORUM'S Total Integrity Score: 21 out of 40
BOB CASEY
Now, on to challenger, Bob Casey.

Verbal Integrity, at the Throat Chakra: Congruence between Bob’s public and private speech is impressive. He’s
projecting a bit of an image, though nowhere as much a façade projector as
Senator Sentorum. Casey tries to come across as tough and manly. He’s hiding
sensitivity, and I have the sense that he’s a bit ashamed of this aspect of
himself, as though if people found out he would seem like less of a man. Still,
there’s no significant lying or pattern of withhold. Score: 10 out of 10.
Action Integrity, at the Solar Plexus
Chakra: He’s firm and decisive, almost alarmingly so. You could call it the
“Mind like a steel trap” syndrome, where Casey won’t be easy to convince, and he
may not be particularly good at reaching out to other points of view, either. At
the time of this photo, he’s holding a lot of stored up anger. Would being
elected change that? In any case, sneakiness is not part of this pattern. So,
reading integrity, although I am not encouraged by the pigheadedness, I would
have to give him full points. Score: 10 out of 10.
Spiritual Integrity, at the Third Eye
Chakra: In contrast to a warmhearted emotional chakra, Bob is cold and pretty
disconnected spiritually. So the projection here suggests a stronger connection
than he consciously knows. Instead of a connection, Bob seems to resort to using
his intellect. And, as we’ve seen at the solar plexus, that intellect isn’t
especially receptive to input from other people. Consequently, the score: 3 out
of 10.
Face Data
Related to Integrity: Here we find another crooked smile, this time the
left side significantly higher. Ominous for integrity, this is the “Secret
Agenda” smirk made popular from a political candidate on the other side of the
political aisle, George W. Bush. In addition, Casey shows zero smile depth, a
fake smile with lips closed. Score: 1 out of 10.

IN OHIO:
Our next pair of politicians are running
for the senate in Ohio. Incombent, Sen. Mike DeWine, and his opponent,
Sherrod Brown.

Integrity, at the Throat Chakra: I’ll grant him this. Senator DeWine’s
speaking style is similar privately and in public. But here’s the combination:
stodgy, dull, greasy and sneaky. Sorry, Senator. There’s a long-practiced method
of obfuscation. Score: 1 out of 10.
Action
Integrity, at the Solar Plexus Chakra: The senator seems exceptionally
sincere. He’s willing to share power with friends. He really does his best.
Usually. It is, perhaps, a tribute to his essential action integrity that this
man’s power databank also reveals a fair amount of guilt. Hmm. Score: 8 out of
10.
Spiritual
Integrity, at the Third Eye Chakra: Is this guy ever proud of belonging
to the winning team. Pride just drips off the teensy, closed-off place where he
could -- any time, with one quick prayer from the heart -- forge an authentic
spiritual connection. I do consider it ominous when a politician combines
extreme pride about his religious affiliation with negligible experience.
Score:
0 out of 10.
Face Data
Related to Integrity: Combining the schoolboy eagerness in his portrait
with the above-mentioned obfuscation at the throat, and we have a poster child
for Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing. Projecting a façade, through expression, that
directly contradicts an aura is bad news in anyone. If DeWine made an effort to
look serious, prematurely old, and dull I would have been far more impressed.
Score: 1 out of 10.

SHERROD BROWN
How about DeWine’s opponent, Sherrod
Brown?

Integrity, at the Throat Chakra: Sherrod is intensely eager as a
communicator, passionate and idealistic while posing for this portrait. Both
personal and private sides of this communication match up, too. Score: 10 out of
10.
Action
Integrity, at the Solar Plexus Chakra: Administrative skill shows, as
does a talent for coalition building. Unfortunately, parked right at this chakra
is an ego the size of a large truck. Alas, that eagerness doesn’t seem quite so
appetizing now.
And yet this isn’t a hit-and-run kind of
sneakishness; by all indications, at this chakra, Mr. Brown won’t make a secret
of what he does, nor will his desire for self-aggrandizement necessarily tarnish
his actions. Score: 7 out of 10.
Spiritual
Integrity, at the Third Eye Chakra: Beautiful, this connection to Source. Absent is any blockage. The man really
cares about doing what is right, and holds himself accountable to his Higher
Power. Score: 10 out of 10.
Face Data
Related to Integrity: The smile is rather tight and forced, yet open. By
now you’re a connoisseur of crooked smiles, right? So you’re noticing that this
sample does list toward the right.
Brown also has a mouth pull toward the
right -- i.e., his mouth is significantly longer on the right side of his face. It
means overemphasizing power dealings in his life, sacrificing inwardly to make
an extra-big impression outwardly. Admittedly this isn’t a mouth pull or
crookedness to compare with
Rush Limbaugh, for example, whose mouth asymmetries give new meaning to his self-description “Rush is
right.”
To appreciate the combination of right
mouth pull plus right side of mouth higher, it can help to cover one side of the
mouth at a time. Quite a contrast, isn’t it, with either of these fellows. Sherron’s score here:

Dismal stuff, I know. Integrity scores
like those for candidates in Pennsylvania and Ohio make one wonder why
politicians even bother with all those negative ads. All they need do is show up
with those auras. It’s instant negative advertising… for themselves. Not all
politicians are so awful, of course -- and in future zine issues I’ll be reading
some of the more inspiring guys and gals.
I do apologize for the bluntness of my
comments, the score keeping, and even having an occasional laugh at the expense
of these politicians. Voters have a responsibility to focus on flaws more than
with other instances of using Deeper Perception. That’s what I believe. Do you
agree?
If any of these fellows were my client
for a session of Aura Transformation, I’d call him on the integrity problems,
but I’d be committed to healing, and would emphasize gifts of his soul. And I’d
do my best to help that client to move out stuff in the way of his gifts, using
techniques like my

Remember, important though integrity is, look at actions and records before you
vote. American zine readers, whether my readings produce inspiration or
disgust, go to the polls anyhow. Your vote is precious. Make it

IN MONTANA:
Sen. Conrad Burns is the incumbent in
Montana, and he is facing Jon Tester.

I’d like to begin by
complimenting Senator Burns on the excellent library backdrop in his portrait.
If I were reading leather-bound book collections, rather than integrity, he
would be the clear winner for this entire zine. Anyway...
Verbal Integrity, at the Throat
Chakra: What a mess! In his personal life, Burns is doing
a lot of pretending at the time of this photo. He’s doing his best to do
business as usual, hale and heart and hail fellow well met. A practiced
façade as a good guy is being pushed out, rather defensively, it seems to me.
In public, regarding power, the
man is hollow. Gifts of his soul exist, deep down, but what’s more
striking is the degree to which he has allowed himself to become a puppet.
He’ll say what he’s told to say. It will, at least be dignified.
Score: 0 out of 10.
Action Integrity, at
the Solar Plexus Chakra: Again, the man has caved. He’ll do
what he’s told. Still seeming dignified. Bait and switch is a
practiced pursuit, evidently, where he will claim to do something but do
something entirely different -- smoothly, decorously, with great dignity.
Score: 0 out of 10.
Spiritual Integrity, at the Third Eye
Chakra: Aw, can’t the man have
any fun? Actually, yes. There’s a bit of connection. It’s
tiny. At the time of this photo, Senator Burns wears the aura of a
severely disillusioned man. Score: 3 out of 10.
Face Data Related to Integrity:
A modest version of Blarney Lips (remember, that's where the lower
lip is many times thicker than the upper lip) loses a few points for the
Senator. Otherwise, he is doing fine. Putting the face together with
the aura, I’d give him this credit: As a man who has long since sold out,
Senator Burns has got plenty of dignity. Score: 7 out of 10.

JON TESTER
On to contender Jon Tester
and his photo.
Verbal Integrity, at the Throat
Chakra:
Here’s one feisty, powerhouse of a politician. Though I’ve
never heard him speak, reading his aura I can feel that big, booming voice.
This is the aura of a big guy, a real force of nature. Public and private
selves are in harmony. Subtlety may not be Jon’s forte, but he’ll tell you
where he stands. He also has a loud, good ol’ boy sense of humor, if I’m
not mistaken -- and by far the funniest guy (on purpose) we’ve read in this
November 2006 zine. Score: 10 out of 10.
Action Integrity, at the Solar Plexus
Chakra: Enthusiasm is a strength, and he takes action
vigorously. Teamwork is good, ego modest. Tester’s real point of
vulnerability is being stalled. As he is right now, dilly-dallying drives
him nuts, but maybe he can move things out of gridlock, so he won’t have to
suffer from Puny Peanut Power Politics. Score: 10 out of 10.
Spiritual Integrity, at the Third Eye
Chakra: A solid and sweet
connection keeps Jon Tester on track. He’s an intensely practical person,
and that’s how he’ll relate to religion. Purity at the third eye helps
make Jon Tester a shrewd judge of character. Score: 10 out of 10.
Face Data Related to Integrity:
Slight Blarney Lips, combined with that truth-teller’s throat chakra
don’t concern me. There’s a tiny up-angling at the right side of his
mouth, which I’ll interpret as being caught up with exuberance, moving into the
public arena. Time will show if this develops into an integrity problem,
rather than just an adjustment to big-time politics. Score: 9 out of 10.

IN MISSOURI
SENATOR JIM
TALENT
Sen. Jim Talent of Missouri is
the incumbent in this political battle. In the “Show Me” state, how will
voters read his integrity? At least I'll tell you what I find, and it
isn’t alarming, except at the man’s forehead.

Verbal Integrity, at the Throat
Chakra: Here’s a straight arrow
whose integrity seems impeccable. Score: 10 out of 10.
Action Integrity, at the Solar Plexus
Chakra: Again, Talent scores well. Is he exciting?
Not really. Nerdy? Definitely. Most distinctive is how hard
Talent struggles to stay in integrity. He’s really trying hard, regardless
of what is offered him. Score: 10 out of 10.
Spiritual Integrity, at the Third Eye
Chakra: Alas, here comes a
problem -- to me, the aura reader, not to Senator Jim. He combines being
satisfied with his spiritual life, to the point of extreme righteousness, with
having no significant experience. Does everyone need to have a strong
connection to his or her Source? Just read the auras around you -- the
answer is “Of course not.”
But what’s dangerous is someone
who is rigidly satisfied, certain he knows all the answers yet is devoid of
experience. I don’t know what he believes in but whatever it is, he’ll be a
zealot for the cause. Or, to put it in a political context, he could be
easily manipulated by his religious community. Sorry, Jim. Score:
3 out of 10.
Face Data Related to Integrity:
Back to good marks for this straight arrow guy. With those full lips, he
has a gift for self-disclosure. If you ask him to speak up on religion,
I’m sure he’ll oblige you. Score: 10 out of 10.

Claire McCaskill
Claire McCaskill is taking on
Talent.
Here's her photo. What’s here, regarding integrity?
Verbal Integrity, at the Throat
Chakra: In her personal life, Claire expresses a big heart,
with generosity towards those she loves. Note the stubbornness, however,
even towards those to whom she is favorably disposed. In the public side,
alas, the operative word is “slimy.” She’ll do what it takes to win this
popularity contest. What’s more, the confidence she’s projecting has more
than a touch of arrogance. Score: 0 out of 10.
Action Integrity, at
the Solar Plexus Chakra: Bossy though she clearly is, McCaskill
doesn’t sneak around with her actions. Administrative ability is strong.
If she didn’t have to deal with anyone with a different point of view, McCaskill
would be a fabulously strong leader. But even if elected, what are the
odds that will happen? Since I’m rating integrity of action, rather than
nuances of her diplomatic skills, reluctantly, here’s the score: 10 out of
10.
Spiritual Integrity, at the Third Eye
Chakra: I’m put off by Claire’s
arrogance elsewhere in her aura, as if she knows she is on the side of the
angels. So I wasn’t prepared for what I’d find at her forehead -- a strong
connection with them. This is a beautiful, full connection to her
spiritual source. Clearly, she’s flawed as a messenger. But at least
you needn't fear religious posturing in this candidate. Score: 10 out
of 10.
Face Data Related to Integrity: Huge
mouth pull to the right, and the most crooked smile we’ve seen so far. Sorry, as
a woman, to have to read this on the first female candidate in the bunch. Score:
0 out of 10.
claire mccaskill's Total Integrity Score: Score:
20 out of 40.
IN MINNESOTA
AMY KLOBUCHAR
No incumbent is running for
this Minnesota Senate seat. Let’s read the Democrat first, for a change,
Amy Klobuchar.

Verbal Integrity, at the Throat Chakra:
How refreshing! Not only to find integrity but to find caring,
confidence and a great sense of humor! Score:10 out of 10.
Action Integrity, at the Solar Plexus
Chakra: Forthright and powerful, Amy can laugh down the
opposition. Or she’ll negotiate, because she’s able to do that from a
position of strength. Score her another 10 out of 10.
Spiritual Integrity,
at the Third Eye Chakra: By far the most spiritually connected of
the candidates we’ve read here, Amy Klobuchar does one better than
subconsciously being connected to God. She’s conscious of the Divine
presence and turns to it for guidance. No wonder she can afford to have
such a great sense of humor! Score her one more 10 out of 10.
Face Data Related to Integrity:
Symmetry all over her face -- that’s more important for a political
candidate than a civilian. And Klobuchar’s face is super-symmetrical.
Not only is her smile evenly centered but it’s a real Duchenne smile: Cheeks
lift, eyes crinkle, lips part. Give her what all politicians could have in
this category: 10 out of 10.

40. (On the basis of this
integrity reading, Klobuchar is poised to clobber.)
MARK KENNEDY
Here’s a Republican named
Kennedy, and
here's his photo.
Verbal Integrity, at
the Throat Chakra: Mark shows
firmness, a commanding vocal style. At the time of this photo, he’s not
only passionate but angry, and I do have the sense that this politician draws
his greatest strength when he criticizes. That’s not an integrity problem,
of course. He’s a strong debater and, essentially, speaks the truth.
But there is a small and disturbing tendency to distort a few facts, for the
sake of a good cause. Score: 7 out of 10.
Action Integrity, at the Solar Plexus
Chakra: Here’s where this handsome man looks scary. He’s
so ambitious, by comparison Rush Limbaugh's ego belongs to a pussycat.
Ruthless in execution and secretive in manner, the motto I hear from within this
databank is “What people don’t know won’t hurt them.” Score: 0 out of 10.
Spiritual Integrity,
at the Third Eye Chakra: Mr. Kennedy would appear to have religion
handled. I get this impression from the combination of smallness and
sureness where a spiritual connection might otherwise be. This present
state of this databank doesn’t speak well for Mark’s wisdom (or compassion or
open-mindedness, let alone his ability to read auras as we’re doing here).
Still, the amount of religious posturing is relatively small, so I’d give him
another 7 out of 10.
Face Data Related to Integrity:

EXTRA INSPIRATION
”Breakfast at
McDonalds” is one of those Internet stories that has made the rounds. Unlike
most, this one really touched me and maybe you will enjoy it too.
I am a mother
of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree.
The last class I had to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutely
inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with.
Her last project of the term was called "Smile." The class was asked to go
out and smile at three people and document their reactions. I am a very
friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway, so, I thought
this would be a piece of cake, literally.
Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went
out to McDonald's one crisp March morning. It was just our way of sharing
special playtime with our son. We were standing in line, waiting to be
served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then
even my husband did. I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of
panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.
As I turned around I smelled a horrible "dirty body" smell, and there standing
behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman,
close to me, he was "smiling". His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of
God's Light as he searched for acceptance. He said, "Good day" as he
counted the few coins he had been clutching. The second man fumbled with
his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was
mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman
was his salvation. I held my tears as I stood there with them.
The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, "Coffee
is all Miss" because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to
sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to
be warm.) Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost
reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I
noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action.
I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more
breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the corner to the
table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the
table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand. He looked
up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Thank you." I leaned over,
began to pat his hand and said, "I did not do this for you. God is here
working through me to give you hope." I started to cry as I walked away to
join my husband and son.
When I sat
down my husband smiled at me and said, "That is why God gave you to me, Honey,
to give me hope." We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew
that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.
We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed me the pure
Light of God's sweet love.
I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand.
I turned in "my project" and the instructor read it. Then she looked up at
me and said, "Can I share this?" I slowly nodded as she got the attention
of the class. She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human
beings and being part of God, share this need to heal people and to be healed.
In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my husband, son,
instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent
as a college student. I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would
ever learn: UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE!
Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and
learn how to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.
