Reading Auras from Photos, GUEST POST
September 17th, 2007 by Rose RosetreeI have always been very interested in “metaphysical” things. Just last week (at 51 years) that I discovered I can see auras - my own and of objects and plant. It really surprised me as I never thought I could do anything like this - now I’m very hungry for more knowledge on this matter and very interested in learning to see more, such as how to see the chakras etc.
I have also been wondering … how to see/read auras from photos. How is it possible??? I searched the web but have not found anything on how it’s done. Must be a “trade secret”?
I would be very grateful (if it’s not too much trouble and allowable) if you could shed some light regarding this matter - to satisfy my curioisty. I have searched for your book “Aura reading through all your senses” but it’s not available here in Australia.
I’m also interested in Reiki healing and intend to study that too. In my mind, aura reading, chakras and reiki healing goes together. Am i correct?
My late father was a “shamanic/psychic healer” back in Malaysia and it has been and still is my biggest wish to follow in his footsteps, in any way possible.

I know a lot of you in this community have learned to read auras from regular photo (e.g., all the graduates of my Intensive for aura readers), and maybe you would like to share some of your experiences for Bee and the rest of our community.
Meanwhile, here are some of my responses for you Bee, and lurkers, on this excellent topic.
Of course, anyone who wishes to can learn to read auras from photos. The skill isn’t a trade secret but it does need to be taught properly and, to me, that means either in a book or through personal mentoring on the phone or in an Intensive. (The desire to teach things properly so that people can really succeed at them is one reason I became a writer.)
The book of mine that addresses this skill set most is LET TODAY BE A HOLIDAY. Another good preparation, however, is just what you thought to do: Land your own copy of AURA READING THROUGH ALL YOUR SENSES.
While it won’t include the particular set of techniques for reading auras from regular photos, the book is loaded with ways to make your experiences more meaningful, to help you find your way into auras as deeply as you can go, to give you a load of techniques for exploring, and also to answer your questions about chakras much better than I could do in a quick blog-post.
Although neither book is available in stores in Australia yet (unless you ask a good holistic bookstore to special order, which might produce results), here is what you CAN do: Order directly from my website, http://www.rose-rosetree.com.
You pay a bit extra for shipping but a local bookstore would just mark up the price for you, and that secure payment button is way cheaper than a plane ticket….
Re following in your father’s glorious footsteps, I can’t train you as a psychic healer or shaman. There are some wonderful ones out there! But I CAN train you in the 21st century art of being a spiritual healer, using Energy Spirituality. And, of course, that is what my brand new book, published today, is all about. How perfect is that?
In early June, 2007, I logged on to an “Intuitve Diagnosis” Test given by the Institute of Noetic Sciences. The test was looking at 200 photographs and determining whether the person in the photos was currently living or dead.
The choices were:
Definitely living,
Probably Living,
Definitely not living,
or Probably Not Alive.
I did not do all the photographs at one time, only in groups of about 5 at a time and picked up where I left off each time.(It automatically allows you to do this.)
My score was in the 80 plus %, not too bad considering I did not use the same technique, nor did I allow myself to always trust my first impression.
Here is what happened. I, consciously, did not merge with some of the photos. I would often hear a “dead” or “died” in my left ear.
I am primarily clairsentient, but clairaudience occurs too, when I least expect it. I have a good ear for music and when I was younger played several instruments by ear, including singing.
Anyway, with the next group of photos I would merge with the photo and get some right, and some wrong. At some of these times, I would feel the energy of the photo taken when the person was alive, if in fact they were dead, and get information about them. This was a bit confusing for me, or it was likely just inexperience.
It also occured to me that pyschic, non empaths, likely used the photos as a focus for information, just like I used to do with handwriting.
I also psychometrized the handwriting. I did not tell you that I am a trained graphologist, having spent 12 years studying it, originally with the late Felix Klein, then with his wife.
See,deeper perception in one way or another has fascinated me! Mr. Klein would turn in his grave
if he knew that I psychometrized original samples, though I did well with the regular lessons.
When an empath merges with a photograph they are merging with the energy of the photograph at that time. Dead people do not have auras. Sometimes I just “knew” they were alive or dead, (truth knowledge)?
All in all it was not the best way to take a test. It seems that I felt most comfortable merging with the photos, but that was the least effective technique…hello!
This experience tells me that I receive information in several ways. I do not think it is the best test of intuitive diagnosis if one is an empath, however.
My natural gift set is different as you have confirmed. If I could have touched all the real photos consisitently, I wonder what would have occured.

Gee, I have a comment on my own comment!
I do not think that the test I took was effective for empathic intuitive diagnosis, which is the subjective way of receiving information. It could be an effective test for receiving psychic, or more objective, information, however.
Colleen, both of these posts are fascinating to me and bring up a very controversial question. Is testing effective or destructive?
I certainly have opinions about this. To follow this thread, click onto http://www.rose-rosetree.com/blog/?p=51#comment-112 .
As always, Colleen, I thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience and curiosity.
