Thanks again, Mr. Colbert
September 23rd, 2007 by Rose Rosetree
I’m a huge fan of Stephen Colbert. Today, a friend called to let me know about the cover story about him today in “Parade Magazine.” Was I curious? You bet.Check out the article, if you can. I especially enjoyed reading that Colbert comes from a Catholic family and teaches Sunday School. That Catholic connection sang to me loud and clear when I did an empathic merge, reading him for a story in the Chicago Sun-Times. Part of my profile went like this:“He is more devout than most people,” Rosetree says, “and he cares deeply about being good. It’s not necessarily what you’d think watching him. He’s not a zealot, but really wants to be a good boy.”
On that show, Colbert twists his mind around an anti-hero’s role. Reminds me of how C.S. Lewis once commented that the hardest thing he ever wrote was The Screwtape Letters. For Stephen’s weird on-show persona to be so loveable, you would have to be playing against type, right?
Nevertheless, I put all such concerns aside when reading him for the
Empathic merges, aura reading, face reading — they can reveal an unexpected truth, even if you must wait half a year, or longer, for confirmation. What surprises do you find, reading the photograph pictured here?
Incidentally, Colbert managed to surprise me by spoofing my face reading and aura reading on his show. See the clip here. (First, you’ll have to watch a commercial before the clip runs. Fear not. Buying is not required.)

Rose,
What a great article! I had seen the video clip on the Colbert Show but hadn’t checked out the article.
(Did I ever mention that my (Republican) cousin said she knew I wouldn’t like Colbert because he was “more conservative”. I replied that I’m pretty sure he’s satirizing Bill O’Reilly and she looked like I had told her there was no Santa Claus! He’s pretty convincing, apparently! hah)
I was interested to see the part about Jon Stewart where you mention he can handle criticism with ease. That was my take as well. I sure wish I had that “gift of the soul”!
(Have I mentioned I am loving this blog? So SO SO much to see and read and learn. You go, girl!)
Rose, you just happened to send that mail out (relating to this article) on the feast day of St. Padre Pio.
Basically, a person who I think will have the greatest influence of revealing (reminding) to Catholics that to be in touch with all the spiritual gifts of the Christ / God consciousness is to celebrate all of the ways in which Catholics and everyone can perceive those same gifts.
Celebrating and exalting healing, empathy to the core of the soul, spiritual intuition which OF COURSE encompasses clairvoyance, clairsentience and all the others……….
In my humble opinion, St. Padre Pio is a turning point in the way the (Catholic) Church is recognising (and ‘allowing’!!!!!) the ways in which the Christ / God consciousness is celebrated………… Padre Pio bore the stigmatic wounds of Christ for over 40 years, continually.
He was able to ‘read’ people at all levels; many who took the sacrament of reconciliation (aka confession) spoke about him knowing about their life without them telling him. There are also many who reported him as being in one place (usually a hospital) when in fact he was in another, and the list goes on……
To me, St. Padre Pio has brought all the ways in which we can experience love and channel it to others out of the box marked ‘let’s not go there’ and delivered them straight into the awareness of all those who seek that truth - and I feel Christ smiling and full of hope about this
I just wanted to share my thoughts about St. Padre Pio with you as not only does he occupy a very special place within me and my spirituality (including some experiences at my soul level) but it also seemed so deliciously right to do so in light of the timing of your email
I attach some links with more info if you’d like to find out more about him.
