One Prayer Answered, a GUEST POST by Q.
October 26th, 2007 by Rose RosetreeNote from Rose: Clients and students have always been generous about giving me feedback from their sessions. Now that blogging is available, I may share some of the stories. The following comments are excerpted from a beautiful card that I received recently from a client I will call “Q.” It is published with her permission.
Many thanks for another great cord cutting…. I remembered an amazing flash of insight I had this week that I wanted to share with you. During times of struggle in trying to move on from my relationship with Jeff, the last cord cut, I would pray passionately, having tried everything I knew how to do to heal.
My most fervent prayer was, “God, if this person is not meant to be in my life now in some healthy way, please just REMOVE this!”
The angst, the pulling, all of it: I had such a strong sense of a literal extraction from my being.
I connected the dots this week to see how my prayer was answered and was simply in awe.
The hummingbird who visits my garden regularly made an appearance several times during our session.

I have had similar powerful cord-cutting experiences in sessions with Rose. In one, I felt the removal of tightness that ran down through my body and to my leg. It reached my foot and affected the way I “move” through the world.
Glad to hear you had such a powerful healing.
And the techniques in Rose’s book are powerful, too - although I’m sure it helped that I’ve had a few sessions with Rose herself.
Just yesterday, I was practicing cutting cords and reached one that I hadn’t pegged as particularly major. Yet when I felt into it, I was overwhelmed with nausea.
Last night, a wave of nausea revisited me for a few minutes, causing me to prepare to lie down. I’m assuming this was more of that toxic energy clearing, and today I feel much lighter and more clear.
Amazing!
Melanie, you are exactly correct. Remember, the more information you receive during the validation part of the process, the quicker the energy will clear. And don’t skimp on the “homework” part just because YOU are the client.
Sounds like you are doing really well. Kristy, here, is too modest to mention that she has been doing professional quality work cutting cords of attachment with clients. I’m really proud of you both!
