How You Can Protest Cloned Beef
January 17th, 2008 by Rose Rosetree
“I’m a vegetarian,” a friend emailed me rather smugly. “So this problem about cloned beef doesn’t affect me.” That was the gist of it, anyway. I’m not going to look up her email because I spent about six hours yesterday, emailing loads of people about this.
Actually, cloned beef does affect you. If you’re a vegetarian, and not a vegan, it matters that the milk and cheese and yogurt that you do eat may soon come from machines. And I don’t mean vending machines. Energetically, eating food from cloned animals is the equivalent of putting a black hole into your body. Do you really want to be part of a science experiment funded by greed?
Now, what if you’re a vegan? Hey, maybe you’re a breatharian, someone who can sustain life through advanced yogic practices. Are you too refined to care about the rest of humanity?
Aha, I thought not. Because if your diet has been chosen for spiritual reasons, how can you stay silent on this issue?
Please, email both your senators, using this link:
Cut-and-paste again, using this link for your rep.: https://forms.house.gov/wyr/welcome.shtml
Here is a sample email. It’s what I sent. Some of you Blog-Buddies are better than me at policy and government-speak. (After all, I live in metro Washington
Also, please comment below if you have followed my suggestion to contact your government. This blog has many lurkers. Maybe your brief comment will encourage others that we have numbers here, and that we can make a difference.

Re: Cloned Cows, Pigs, and Goats Like many Americans, I am deeply uncomfortable with the FDA’s ruling that these “products” are acceptable.
The first way I am asking you to help is for you to represent us by demanding that the USDA require clear labeling of any food that comes from a cloned animal. That would include an animal bred from a stud that is a clone. I am against hiding this. It MUST be labeled so that consumers have a choice.
The second way I request your representation is that you open up this ruling from the FDA and allow Americans to comment. I couldn’t be more strongly against this ruling. What will it take for this ruling to be reversed? The effects of this experiment have not been tested adequately.
Frankly, I believe it is unconscionable to make

Dear Rose and Blog Buddies,
I have been a vegetarian and a vegan for part of that time for thirty years. I am not smug about it as it is my choice and I share this planet with others. I currently eat some dairy which does affect me. I have just emailed both of my Kentucky senators about this issue and will try through some of my friends, who have more political connections than I, to push this issue with the Presidential candidates as well. I may just go ahead and write to some of the candidates anyway!
Thanks for the push Rose!
Hi Rose,
Thanks for being so on top of this issue. The whole idea is horrendous and if they don’t put labels, I think I’ll finally have to bite the bullet and become a vegetarian. Thanks again for your insight!
Kathy
Rose,
Thanks for your diligence researching this and for bringing it to the forefront. It might be helpful to have a link to the language the FDA/USDA has put forth.
I am also not well versed in poli-speak though was recently involved in protesting the pasteurization of almonds. What I learned is that one needs to specifically say “I am against…” otherwise it is merely counted as comment, not registered as yay or nay.
Personally, some know I have been a raw foodist for several years and have been moving more and more to living foods. In a previous post, Dana commented on reading the aura/energy of organic vs. conventional food and how organic has more/healthier energy. If anyone looks at the Kirlian photography of organic, or live, or non-hybridized food, they will see a huge difference.
I say NAY to cloned beef, seedless fruit, irradiated and pasteurized food. My personal choice is to eat food that has life so as to sustain and nourish my life.
Rose, I support your concern and the health of others and will write my senator NOW.
Another approach, which can be useful is to STOP buying from stores that sell or might sell these products. Here is a link to find local farms or community-supported agriculture (CSAs): http://www.localharvest.org/organic-farms/
You can talk to the farmers, possibly even get your food delivered.
[…] the FDA ruling that makes cloned meat legal, and help the USDA to demand that, if it must be produced, it is clearly […]
Even vegans will have to cope with all the people who will be eating cloned food products. I am concerned that adding cloned foods will further lower the vibrational frequencies of those who consume them. This means the population at large will take another vibrational hit. Even vegans are going to have to live in a world and interact with people whose vibrations and consciousness has been diminished as result of eating cloned animals.
Thanks for writing:
COLLEEN, you couldn’t be less smug. Now back in the day when I was a new vegetarian, THAT was smug. I was a vegetarian for ideological reasons for about 30 years, but my health started to improve in 2000 when I began to eat more animal products.
KATHY: Your comments are so appreciated. We’re lucky that we do have a chance to do something about this, especially if we tell friends, have them tell friends, etc.
SHARON: Welcome back from your vacation, and thanks so much for all you wrote. Please educate me, and others, about what’s wrong with seedless grapes, watermelons, etc. I already tend not to buy them but am curious about your perspective.
FRANCESCA, you put this so beautifully. We can’t predict what eating “machines” will do for health, any more than we know what it will do for consciousness. I agree with a friend of mine who predicts that most likely there will be neurological diseases that will make Parkinson’s look like a picnic.
Sharon, you don’t need Kirlian photos for anything. You can read auras better than any of those photos. You can read the object, the food or animal or person, way better on your own, and you can also read how it affects you. If you’re an empath of the appropriate kind (e.g., plant, animal, physical, emotional, etc.), you can even do an empathic merge — totally safely — in order to directly experience what it is like to be that thing.
Info about all this is at my website, http://www.rose-rosetree.com.
Sharon, one more point: Thanks to you I went back and strengthened the language in my proposed letters to govt. representatives.
I sent emails to my senators and representative. It was easy!!! Would it be helpful to send email to the FDA and the USDA?
Unless we do something, I’m concerned that our schoolchildren will soon be served cloned meat along with milk containing bovine hormones. Yuck….
I’ve written my govt. representatives. Thanks for the push and for your input into this matter.
THANKS TL AND LISA. And Lisa, you’re right that it would be helpful to email the FDA and USDA, both. This is the worst decision in the history of the FDA, in my opinion, and they have done recalls before.
Would you be kind enough to research links for both of these types of comment and put this in a comment here at the blog?
Hi Rose and blog buddies (I love that term!)
Seedless fruit and veggies are genetically modified foods. They will not grow in nature–only on the farms and in the greenhouses which raise them for gross human consumption.
These “foods” are extremely low in minerals and are not minerally balanced—that means that your body is reaching into your bones to source the minerals needed to balance what is deficient in those foods. It also means these foods are more susceptible to mold and fungi which means that, for conventional fruits and vegetables, even more pesticides and funigicides are used on them.
Seedless, or hybridized, fruits and veggies are also excessively high in sugar.
Some of the worst hybridized foods are: oranges, bananas, grapes (and raisins), watermelons, beets, corn, rice, and many legumes.
To counter the effects, if you choose to eat these foods (and each person should make the choices that resonate for him or her) eat healthy fats (olives, avocados, sprouted nuts) or green-leafed vegetables or juices along with the foods to counter the high sugar content.
My new telephone seminar series: Eating For Health (http://www.wildsuccess.us/eat4health.htm) will address some of these ideas and help people to know how to eat in a way that supports health.
On a more spiritual plane…seeds are karmic. They have potential, they have destiny, they have life. We are what we eat. Do you want to eat life or death?
