The Urge to Merge
January 23rd, 2008 by Rose Rosetree
It’s coming. It’s coming soon. My next Empath’s Empowerment Intensive will be held February 8-10, with seven group meetings that build on each other to change your life for the better.
It is the ONLY time I will offer this Intensive all year — except when I’m teaching it in Japan…
Yes, this is the most life-changing workshop of all that I teach. In the words of one graduate, “I know that the empathy workshop totally changed my life! Learning how to shut my empathy off was one of my greatest lessons learned.”
If you do any kind of healing – and even if you don’t – you have probably been told things like “Protect yourself. Have firm boundaries. Remember to ground yourself.” Well, with all respect, phooey! The standard techniques taught for this work fine.. just not for the 1 in 20 people who were been born as an empath. Whether your gift is physical, emotional, spiritual, animal or intellectual, until you become skilled, you will pick up other people’s pain every day of your life. At this Intensive, you’ll learn techniques that change this. These techniques are actually easy to learn. They involve consciousness. They help to strengthen and balance you as a person. They are about a million miles away from putting up walls.
Once you learn to turn your gifts OFF most of the time, you become ready to turn those gifts ON. For this you’ll learn a technique that jet-propels you into a super-intense, direct experience of being another person. You do this completely safely, then return to being yourself. The technical name for doing this is “empathic merge.” It’s the biggest fun you can have with your clothes on. Depending on the group, I may teach more than one of these turn-on techniques from my book, “Empowered by Empathy.” Every group is different. And I can’t wait to see who shows up for the February Intensive. QUIRKY FACT: Many of the people who take the Empath’s Empowerment Intensive usually shy away from taking workshops. It’s that unskilled empath thing, where you can come away feeling worse than you started, just because of problems absorbed from other workshop participants. Wouldn’t it be great to take a workshop that makes it safe for you to take other workshops in the future? Important consumer point: This is my only Intensive where there is an important requirement in order for you to participate. You must be an empath. What if you’re not sure? No problem. Send me your photo (rose@rose-rosetree.com) and I will check your aura to make sure that you have at least one significant, trainable gift as an empath.
This very short, yes-or-no, reading is FREE. Consider it my gift to anyone interested in taking the Intensive. I want you to succeed.

I have always liked how you say that empathy is about flexible boundaries, and I quite enjoy flexing my boundaries.
Dear Rose,
Since you have already identified me as an empath in a healing session several years back, do I have to send a photo?
Colleen, of course not! I’m just offering that free service to people who are interested in attending but aren’t sure if they really are empaths.
Oh, I am just thrilled that you will attend.
My last Intensive here, Anita came. When I outed her as Anita From the Blog, people were really excited. I will be excited to finally meet you in person.
Also, I’ve heard confirmation from our modest friend Ryan that he will be attending as well. Hooray!
GENE has asked:
I believe you said that after Christmas you would be posting on your revamped website a listing, directory, or digest of the sixteen or so main archangels and ascended masters you work with in cutting and healing cords, a description of their primary qualities, how to contact and work with them, etc….it’s after Christmas
Gene, you are absolutely right. “After Christmas” turns out to be a more extended period than I anticipated.
Here’s the true life adventure, Gene and Blog-Buddies, about being Rose, doing her various kinds of work.
Last year, I didn’t only publish CUT CORDS OF ATTACHMENT. I purchased domains on the Web for a bunch of new websites. I wrote all the initial articles, created content just to delight all of you. That includes the online supplement for the CORD book, on its very own website.
I also launched this blog.
So much for the realm of the faits accomplis! A friend recommended a WordPress professional to help me to redesign my blog. After this piece of cake, I was all set to hire her to do the template for the additional websites, which are also to be based on WordPress.
Long story short, she fired me. Amusing experience, not. We did not play well together. We appear to live in different sandboxes, and I have finally hired someone else to complete the job.
As of two days ago! And I emailed him in response to a question within this past hour.
So, Gene, think of it as a domino effect. First the blog, then the CORDS website, then the others.
Doing work at the leading edge often comes with frustrations for me, and I’m sorry when the frustrations spill over to affect you’all. I haven’t forgotten you, that’s for sure.
Here’s the final laugh on this theme, to me, anyway. In case it provides some consolation as you wait until “After Christmas” is over.
When not doing my various other activities, I’m getting my latest book to press. This book was written 2002-2005, approximately. It has actually been published in German even before I have managed to publish it in English. Instead, I felt it was important to publish LET TODAY BE A HOLIDAY and CUT CORDS OF ATTACHMENT. Now this bouncing baby book is going to have its day and its say.
April, that’s my goal.
Deeper perception doesn’t have to mean time warp. Except, sometimes, for Rose.
Thanks for the update, Rose. I only ever assumued that you were “birthing bigger birthday cakes” and we’d sooner or later hear the story.
Here’s another question:
In Cutting Cords, you opine that a person can read “as many as 50 different databanks” from one chakra–but it turns out to be dependent on my imagination to come up with the fifty different nuanced categories to identify!
Shame on me, Rose, but I seem to suffer from a paucity of “category imagination” with which to produce those 50 different categories to inquire about.
Every time I see you mention a new category for one of the chakras, I say to myself, “Oh, how logical,” but generating ideas myself seems slow.
Does anyone else share my frustration?
Any hints on “priming the cistern” of imagination?
Best wishes, Gene
Does anyone else share my frustration?
Yes. A list of these databanks would be helpful because I am not very good at thinking of chakra databanks either. Although I suppose everybody would benefit from creating their own personal list.
I find setting an intention before doing an aura reading to be much more important, though. I have become good enough at reading auras that when I do a reading a flood of information will come into my mind at once, and sorting out this information is very difficult if I have not set an intention.
I totally agree. I have a difficult time coming up with the databanks I want to explore, mainly because I’m impatient and would like to come up with them on the fly.
I agree with Gene that in most of Rose’s aura readings, I, myself say, “Oh! Of COURSE!” and quickly look for a pen to jot it down. But dozens of post-its are difficult to keep track of, let alone remember to read repeatedly!
I have begun to notice patterns, but a more comprehensive list would be helpful. Maybe we should all pool resources and create our own?
