    Three Loveables

February 14th, 2008 by Rose Rosetree

Happy Valentine’s Day, Blog-Buddy. Today I praise your perceptive heart.

You’re reading this because you care enough about people to look deeper into yourself and others.

I also praise your perceptive mind, your intellect, your questing spirit.

It is my delight to hold this blog open as a community for you, to help you find friends, peers, students and teachers.

In honor of this holiday, I invite you to name your choices of a public person you especially admire. By March 1, I will select three of these Loveables for in-depth reading on the blog, three separate posts. Please say why you admire this person and which type of reading you most want me to do:

Why not nominate your Uncle Joe or Aunt Bessie? Celebrities are definitely not more inherently loveable, but they are public figures who have consented to be discussed publicly. Good photos of them are readily available for me to use as a basis for the reading. And other Blog-Buddies besides you know of them.

(I also do Relationship Readings,  Personnel Profiles, Face Reading Reports, and Aura Reports, all available at a nominal fee through my website. These are intended as affordable, convenient ways to get knowledge about anyone, whether you love ‘em or hate ‘em or else the person is that incredibly deep cosmic mystery, YOU.)

The three loveables will be selected based on who receives the most nominations. Only one nomination per Blog-Buddy, please, so invite your friends to vote for your fave. Check back on March 1 to find out who wins.

Wishing you love and light and power,  on this holiday, on every holiday,

    Rose

What a lovely idea, Rose! I am still very interested in Caroline Myss and I’d love to read what you come up with via an in-depth aura reading. Like Wayne Dyer (another one I’d nominate if I had two choices!), Myss has grown and changed over the past years and in a very public way. I love that her work has evolved with her and that she is committed to staying on her path regardless.

:) Sending you love, light and lots of high energy vibes on this happy Valentine’s Day!

    What a nice idea Rose!

One artist that I particularly admire and have done so for years is the Canadian singer/writer/composer Loreena McKennitt (Google Images will bring up a number of photos of her, from candids to publicity stills).

Her music has resonated powerfully with me from the first time I heard it, but what I admire most about her is her strongly personal, intensely creative approach to art and life. (You can find more on her if you are interested on her website: http://www.quinlanroad.com).

I would love it if you would do an aura reading on her.

I nominate Ann Richards, who was the first woman to be elected Texas governor on her own merits (1991). (She is the person who made the “silver spoon” comment about the elder George Bush at the Democrat party convention in 1988.)

    I also nominate Bette Midler.

    Rose,

What about Keith Olbermann? I think he’s an interesting person and his is one of the few shows I watch on television (on the occasion when I do watch tv).

And hey, while I’m doing a wish list, what about Simon Cowell from American Idol? That would be, uh, interesting?? heh Elizabeth Edwards – I consider her a profile in courage. I’d LOVE a reading on her.

Okay, that’s my contribution to the list. It will be interesting to see who else is suggested.

    Hi Rose,

I had the most perfect person in mind and now it has totally escaped me. Will comment when I remember.

I think the young actress Natalie Portman would be a very interesting read, since she’s so unusual as a young person in her profession.

    Hi Rose and all,

I would love to nominate brilliant fiction writer Diana Wynne Jones who I’ve admired many years.

Also I would like to nominate Eckhart Tolle whose newest book on spiritual awakening is Oprah’s latest book club selection. I think that would be a really fascinating reading.

Another actor I would enjoy seeing a reading about is Christian Bale. I think he has a fascinating face and equally fascinating aura to match.

I nominate Adam Sandler. Yes, I’m serious… Aside from all of the comedies that he has done, I was really impressed with his acting in the movie Spanglish, especially what he did emotionally. So I think that an empathic merge would be great; that is probably what I was doing when I was watching the movie.

    Rose,
I would like to see an empathic merge with Caroline Myss, or C. Norman Shealy M.D. I also would like to see a reading of Elizabeth Edwards. I would love to see an in depth aura reading on my favorite actor, France’s Gerard Depardieu. I have read his, now out of print, biography and it is fascinating. He is a genius, really. He has an interesting face, also. The American movies he has been in do not do justice to his mega talent. He has had some very turbulent years also. I would like to see an aura reading of the late Eva Cassidy, a wonderful singer, (from the Washington D.C.- Maryland Area), who has become more well known since her death, at age 33, in 1996, from melanoma.

I love thinking about loveable people and what is so great about them. That alone is a great idea and keeps me wondering who Rose could read. I want to add another nominee – the wonderfully adorable singer Lisa Gerrard. If you have have not heard her and would like to – google ‘now we are free’ (song title) on youtube for a lovely example.

I would say that the writer Cormac McCarthy is a fascinating one. He is so quiet and out of the public eye, it was amazing he showed up at the Oscars to see “No Country For Old Men” win twice, for best film and best directors (the movie was adapted from his book).

I would also nominate the directors Ang Lee, Clint Eastwood.

I think the young actresses Anne Hathaway and Michelle Williams would also be great. Like Natalie Portman, they have managed to hold onto their talent without imploding.

I am forgetting someone here. Will comment again when I remember.

Thanks to everyone for your nominations, and in response to your question, Dee Dee, of course the person can be deceased.

The techniques of empathic merge, aura reading, and face reading done at this blog (by me, at least) all are done from photos!

I’d like to see a face reading of the NBC news broadcaster Brian Williams. His face is wonderfully complicated and seen by millions five nights a week as he tells about the best and worst of what is going on in the world.

Oprah’s live interactive broadcasts on Monday evenings with Eckhart Tolle re: “A New Earth” have drawn millions of people literally from around the world (with many millions more downloading or streaming the teachings afterwards.) I would very much like to have you do an aura reading of Eckhart Tolle. Your Oprah readings were fascinating. Since Tolle is drawing unprecedented numbers of people together at one time, I’d love to hear what you have to say. Thanks for all you do, Rose :)

I already nominated someone, but I saw in the news that the marines in Iraq have made a shrine to Chuck Norris. What is it about Chuck Norris that has made him a kind of demigod on the Internet? What is behind the Chuck Norris craze? So I nominate Chuck Norris for an aura reading, although his image is more “tough guy” than “loveable.”

Ooh ooh can I add one more? John Bogle, founder of Vanguard, has had a lifelong mission, since at least undergrad in college, to make investing accessible and affordable (and free of rip off) for regular people. It may seem kind of unglamorous, but he’s pretty amazing I think.

Thanks to all of you who submitted names and ideas. Readings, based on your entries, begin here: http://www.rose-rosetree.com/blog/?p=218#more-218

So have a look and keep commenting.

BTW, if I don’t choose the person you proposed (three means three, after all), why not do a GUEST POST? Write a reading of your own, long or short, and send it to me by email, roserosetree[at]verizon.net? Include a link to a good Internet photo and we’ll be on our way to conversation about YOUR favorite Loveable.

    Dear Rose,

I considered doing an aura reading on Gerard Depardieu, but feel that I know way too much about him to do that now. I will, however, submit a guest post in the near future on someone else as I am finding that it “thrills my soul” to do so.

I love when you do face readings, and I notice things about mine and other’s face’s as a result of your work, but I do not consider myself a face reader.
