My Favorite Secret of Creative Flow
March 23rd, 2008 by Rose Rosetree
How can you let the inspiration flow? Whether you’re a writer, a painter, a composer or taking care of your toddler, some universal principles make any creative activity like doing an intuitive reading.
Technical skill matters. So does finding your audience, as discussed in our last post. Beyond that, I have learned to do the same kind of Preparation Process used for any form of spiritual reading. You’ll find it in Aura Reading Through All Your Senses, Empowered by Empathy, and especially the book that I wrote (FYI, Tara and other Blog-Buddies) all about creative flow, Let Today Be a Holiday: 365 Ways to Co-Create With God.
Get Big! Set an Intention! Take Vibe-Raising Breaths! And then just accept what you get.
GETTING OUT OF THE WAY
But I can almost hear Tara saying, in her exceptionally tactful way, “But, but, but, you still haven’t answered my question. How do I get out of the way?”
The answer (to the extent that Rose Rosetree has “the answer”) is that you will get out of the way if you have done all the above steps. If not, there is a cause. It is something you will find galore doing aura readings. It is called STUFF, my catch-all term for accumulated fear, pain, anger, long-term dysfunctional patterns, cords of attachment, and the various kinds of astral debris you can learn to remove very efficiently in my Energy Healing Intensive.
You can learn to remove STUFF. Or you can go to sympatico healers who have the skill set to help you to remove it.
On this Easter Sunday, I’ll celebrate by doing a phoner session of Aura Transformation. When my client calls, her intention might be, “To remove blocks to my creative flow.” If it is, I’ll facilitate doing just that.
Usually I do recommend people start there. For persistent problems that aren’t quite removed with this type of session, I’ll have clients come in (as you have, Tara) for Energy Release Regression Therapy, moving out frozen blocks that had lodged in the cells. Again, this kind of healing is intention-driven.
Years ago, I thought the best strategy was to meditate, release stress, and wait for Enlightenment. Now I believe that it makes sense to dedicate a healing session to one particular aspect of life, the one that matters most to you right now.
Ask for what you want, do that Preparation Process, muster up your technical skills and you can easily get out of the way. It’s the future of art. It’s the future for us all. On Easter, we could call it ascension while still in the human world.
And it is, I believe, our destiny.

Blog-Buddies, tonight I had the most wonderful opportunity to observe Sharon Greenspan doing a brief coaching demonstration on “Cynthia.” The words were perfect – articulate, unobtrusive, perfectly timed, delivered with wholly authentic encouragement.
Cynthia was invited to go inside and follow up, researching something she had just said to find if, perhaps, she had more desires than those originally spoken.
And this wasn’t even the great part. That happened with auras. Golden light of inspiration poured through Sharon, bathing Cynthia with a fresh flow.
I won’t go into chakras here, but instead try to convey the magnificence with my favorite descriptive device… an analogy. Picture an ocean wave at a favorite beach. Imagine the difference between plodding one’s lonely walk at the seashore versus being invited to ride a few waves, clear things out, move upward and emerge supported, refreshed.
That’s what Sharon does. She does being. She does oneness with the Divine, then blends it with her client. To my perception, anyway, that is what happens, and I felt so privileged to witness this.
As someone who teaches, and even a one-time member of, then dropout from, the national association of trainers, I know enough about trainers to appreciate some of the technical parts of what I saw Sharon doing.
Skills about words can be taught. But that transformation, it’s a gift. What Sharon does best, I’d say, is getting out of the way, letting that sacred gift transform those she coaches.
Disclaimer, Sharon is my friend. Maybe I’m gushing the way friends do. But you still might want to check out her website, http://www.wildsuccess.us
How sweet, Rose, thanks for sharing. As well as to Anonymous for the story as well.
Lots of great comments recently - I hope more readers continue to comment.
Just so other readers know, I can get very passionate and opinionated but it is in no way meant to deter others from commenting or for them to feel that I would intimidate them or bully them in any way with my thoughts and ideas.
I only speak for myself and my opinions are only my own.
I welcome disagreement and contrasting ideas. Bring it on!
This really resonates as well. I’ve been able to feel atrong surges of ’stuff’ get stuck in my throat chakra (communication) for years. This is an area that I’ve consciously worked on, but obviously I haven’t fully healed or ‘cleared it out’.
It may be time for body surfing.
I can’t tell you what a difference it would make in my creative life to have flow there rather than tension and ’stuckness’…
