The Surprisingly Tender Aura of Chris Rock

April 10th, 2008 by Rose Rosetree

Chris Rock wears many hats in the world of entertainment: Standout standup comedy; Emmy-winning TV stardom; movie writing, directing, and acting; Grammy-winning comedy albums; and that very challenging gig of hosting the Academy Awards.

In our photo, however, preparing for aura readings perhaps, Chris wears no hat at all. He doesn’t even wear a neck.

I get such a kick out of this photo, sent by Blog-Buddy Angela Wesley Hardin, who wrote, “I love Chris Rock’s sharp-edged biting humor and how he mixes in some spot-on social commentary.”

Obviously, Chris Rock comes in on The Ray of Shiva, as described in an earlier post. This intuitive reading is part of our series about AURAS OF THE RICH AND FUNNY. Comedians have some of the most seriously interesting energy fields!

For reading Rock’s aura, I’m going to use a more full-bodied photo, this one.  For background on reading auras, click here. If you’d like to learn how to read auras in depth and detail, whether or not you already have been doing some exploration of energy fields (or any other type of spiritual reading) I’d recommend my how-to book, Aura Reading Through All Your Senses.

However, if your main interest is reading auras from regular photos, you’ll find my most detailed, easy-to-use, set of how-to’s in my upcoming book, Read People Deeper: Body Language + Face Reading + Auras. You can preview it here.

VERSION OF REALITY DATABANK AT THE ROOT CHAKRA

Chris Rock is one trippy guy. Although he isn’t necessarily stoned at the time of this photograph, clearly his sensibility has been informed (quaint English-major term) … by having cracked his mind wide open with recreational chemicals.

However he has come by it, Rock’s commitment to regular, standard issue reality is refreshingly quirky. He loves to smash boundaries wide open. The more seriously people take things, the more he delights in ridicule. That includes using humor to transcend pain and fear.

CONFRONTATION DATABANK AT THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

No aura reading of Rock would be complete without this databank. He’s one of those unusual people who “loves a good fight.” According to his aura, he’s at his best in that kind of spotlight. His intellect grows sharper. He feels more powerful than otherwise.

I think Angela has it just right. This rock bites. His humor is part self-defense, part pre-emptive strike, part hero.

Yet Rock doesn’t confront people in order to harm them. Expressing emotions and intellect in this way, he’s using power to make himself more successful. Part of the energy transaction of his performances involves the healing effect of laughter, a gift to his audience.

It’s so rare for a person to enjoy confrontation, rather than fearing it. Not only that but, remember, Chris is also a Ray of Shiva destroyer-of-ignorance. No wonder Chris Rock’s work is so memorable. He’s an empowerer as an absolutely no B.S. guy.

TIMING FOR HUMOR DATABANK AT THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

Quick reflexes here remind me of a boxer. Rock interacts with so much masculine energy, moving effectively into the situation in a way where he becomes the winner.

Being female in this lifetime, it’s always a fun contrast for this aura reader to step into the more competitive typically masculine way of American men, where it seems so important to be one-up, rather than one-down.

Chris does great auric modeling here, especially healing for anyone who feels tired of being treated as if “one-down.” Identify with him and you come out swinging. Nobody is going to best you. With Chris Rock’s aggressive humor, you feel like a winner.

SENSE OF HUMOR DATABANK AT THE HEART CHAKRA

Such a big and generous heart! Aw, Chris can be tender as well as funny. Deep down, he’s a lover, not a fighter. I can feel him as a kid, making women in his family laugh and showing love for them in that way.

Does softness show beneath the bluster? No, it’s alongside, like parallel play. The hero in Chris Rock co-exists with a surprisingly tender heart.

Add your comments, Blog-Buddies. Read more in that aura or do some face reading. Chris Rock has an unusually symmetrical face. And you know what great thing that means about him, right?

    Hi Rose,

I love this reading of Chris Rock. I’ve always found him to be one of the most interesting and challenging comedians. Rock is one of those people that you can’t not notice, even in this media-saturated age.

I also think his tender heart is what makes him so unique and so fascinating. Put two opposite colors on a color wheel together and each color will “pop” in a way that it wouldn’t on its own. Rock has that effect because the combination of his extreme bravado and masculinity, along with his tenderness, is so unusual. When black and white are put together in a print, the effect is graphic, stark, interesting.

I think of Chris Rock as this kind of person, this kind of comedian, this kind of actor, this kind of producer. He really does have that rare kind of rage, the ability to really fully inhabit the full range of human expression.

Ooh, I don’t have anything to add, as I’m still learning about these readings. I’m so happy that you did this reading, though! Yay!
