Technology can do so much for us (when it’s working) that it might also make it harder for people to trust themselves. “Can I believe that voice inside of me if it isn’t in surround sound in my living room?” (I made that quote up. I don’t have Rose’s abundance of examples).

And that people think that “reading auras of stars ought to be different.” I realized that I had been guilty of thinking this, too. I mean, many of them do have very special qualities. But it is a mistake to think that everyone doesn’t have equally valuable gifts.
