Aura Readings and Empath-Merge for Michael Phelps
August 14th, 2008 by Rose Rosetree
Another day, another gold medal… isn’t it fun to be Michael Phelps at Beijing Olympics 2008? But what kind of fun, exactly? Let’s do an Empath-Merge to find out, and add information straight from aura reading as well.
First, some background. EMPATH means someone born with at least one significant gift for directly experiencing what it is like to be others. Some of you readers already have succeeded at becoming a skilled empath. You have learned how to keep your gift(s) turned OFF most of the time, so you avoid taking on other people’s stuff. Then you can use a technique like Darshan in “Empowered by Empathy” to do a pain-free, in depth empath-merge, experiencing what it is like to be Phelps.
AURA READING means exploring energy fields. I can teach you to become a really
skilled aura reader, for the kind of information that never lies. Although everyone isn’t born as an empath (that’s 1 in 20 Americans), everyone was born with a complete gift set for aura reading. My method of Aura Reading Through All Your Senses(R) can help you to read auras whenever you like, in person or from photos. That’s the ultimate in free aura readings!
For the reading below, I’m going to choose databanks
of interest in Michael’s aura. Every chakra in an aura contains 50 databanks, so there’s plenty to choose from!
Three photos will be used. Besides showing them here, let me supply the links. If you wish, you can open up the photos, copy them onto a blank email or word document, and pull the corners to enlarge. Pull those corners just a bit harder and, with the swimming photo, you can splash yourself.
Just kidding about the splashing part. Here are links for you:
- Michael Phelps on dry land, being a “normal guy“.
- Michael Phelps preparing to swim in the Olympics.
- Michael Phelps while racing in the Olympics.
Way of relating to his body and environment databank at the Root Chakra
- Phelps as a “normal guy”: Loves when there is no pressure. Has learned a great deal about how to quickly make himself feel comfortable, so there is a rapid internal choice, like turning a light switch on. Easygoing manner is a persona he learned since childhood. (Any of you readers know about his birth order? Seems like a safe bet that, in his family, Phelps is no firstborn.)
- Phelps preparing to race: If you have ever studied with me (especially aura reading, face reading, cutting cords of attachment, energy protection and cleansing), you are familiar with doing a Preparation Process. Accuracy at reading auras, etc., depends on preparing properly. So it is with great amusement that I share Phelps’ experience.
As much as any aura reader, psychic, or medium, he is (consciously or not) raising his vibrations. This is a very fast intelligence, way beyond human. If I had to choose the best name I could, I would call it “dolphin.” At this vibration, Phelps moves through time and space differently, as though he can move into big holes between “minutes” and/or “inches.” Although firmly tethered to his physical body, Phelps moves into a day-dreamy space where he is primarily identified with this different version of himself.
- Phelps racing in the water: Aw, skilled empaths, you’ve got to come play in this!
Years ago, I read the autobiography of ballerina Margot Fonteyn, who described her performance space like this: Seeing a miniature ballerina in her “mind,” a version of herself all made of white light, a version that executed each step perfectly and Fonteyn would try her best to approximate.
Phelps is mostly identified in that higher up version of himself, making the body move. Feels great just to eavesdrop on that experience energetically.
Current emotional balance databank at the Heart Chakra
- Phelps as a “normal guy”: Feels good about himself, peaceful, happy. Big emotional nuances are not this “normal” guy’s specialty. He’s more dog than cat, for sure.
- Phelps preparing to race: Heart pounds without physically pounding. The feeling of expectancy includes dealing with mild resistance from the physical part of his being, “No, I do NOT want you to move up into that higher vibration.” It’s a human thing, folks! Like our trust of gravity. Some people, perfectly okay with swimmers, feel a version of this resistance just about jumping into water.
- Phelps racing in the water: Michael’s experience isn’t emotional in the least. I don’t mean disassociated, numbness, denial, or any other pathological term. Doing this empath-merge, I’m reminded that emotions and sex are just part of human experience. When you move off planet, or out of human existance, they have no more intrinsic eternal meaning than “You want fries with that?”
Way of relating to his sexuality databank at the Belly Chakra
- Phelps as a “normal guy”: Could he be an enthusiastic participant in that “physical-merge” technique so popular here at Earth School? You bet. Phelps has more sex drive than most. But he’s very comfortable with it, and I find neither hooks nor desperation.
- Phelps preparing to race: Very much like his swimming self, Phelps lifts himself up to a higher vibration where sexuality is about as relevant as the thrill of a Happy Meal. See previous databank.
- Phelps racing in the water: Sex is sooooo irrelevant. See previous databank.
Competition databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra
- Phelps as a “normal guy”: Friendly and sociable, he is way too easygoing to bother feeling competitive in everyday life.
- Phelps preparing to race: The degree of commitment to win feels like a vow. Qualities here are huge, sacred, calm, certain-of-victory.
- Phelps racing in the water: Michael’s consciousness fills the entire pool area, striking terror into any competitor who is awake enough to notice this presence. It’s a bit like visiting with a saint or a trustworthy guru, where you bow down and love receiving the darshan.
Except that this is a race, after all, and that big and affectionate and detached presence is gently reminding you of the name of the winner.
Does this feel like coercion to me? No, it’s more like a byproduct of the big energy presence at a higher vibration, moving into the human body in that pool. In the water, with my perception (and also with my swimming ability), the best word to describe his presence in that pool would be “terrifying.”
- If you could ask any of his competitors “Honestly, is swimming with Phelps different than other competitive swimming?” the answer could be fascinating.
Spiritual connection to Source databank at the Third Eye Chakra
- Phelps as a “normal guy”: Nothing unusual shows here. Phelps has a relatively small projection here, like most successful young men who don’t feel the need to be bothered with religion. In a humble way, Phelps believes he has figured out everything he needs to know about religion. He reads like pure WASP. In this way, Phelps helps provide a great lesson about the distinction between belonging to a religion and connecting to Source in a powerful way spiritually.
- Phelps preparing to race: How funny is this? Phelps prepares to “blank out.” That, or equivalent language, is how he makes sense within himself of the way he does what I call “getting out of the way.” Tuning down his personality, including that usual religious connection, can be a simple thing, whatever one’s line of work. It is needed for aura reading and the best face reading, for empath-merges as well as for athletic excellence.
- Phelps racing in the water: The spiritual connection is vast and pure. Being in water helps to magnify this particular set of energies.
Soul expression databank at the High Heart Chakra
- Phelps as a “normal guy”: Don’t let the casual clothes and relaxed posture fool you. That strong and glorious soul expression is hardly normal “clothing” for human beings at this time. But it could be!
- Phelps preparing to race: As Phelps contracts aurically, in preparation to race, he maintains a firm, sure version of his finely-tuned soul connection.
- Phelps racing in the water: Phelps’ aura is so strongly flooded with golden light, it fills the room for miles in every direction.
Add your observations, Blog-Buddies. I’m especially interested in comments from any of you who know much about dolphins, like one past client for Energy Release Regression Therapy. Because of her goal for the healing session, she re-experienced an incident from a past life when she was a dolphin. We moved out some frozen blocks from that lifetime, and before you laugh, be aware that this one session removed an allergy to eating fish that had threatened her human life for decades.
What does Phelps do best for humanity? From my experience with doing the empath-merges in today’s blog-post, “winning” isn’t the answer. Neither is “breaking new world records.” The shifting, in itself, to a higher form of intelligence matters most.
That, not the swimming skill, may be your destiny. Mine, too, if we’re all lucky.

Rose,
I just love both of these readings about Phelps. I also love how you articulated that we can find spiritual connection in so many ways, that we can be of service through so many different venues. And we do that through our consciousness, not necessarily through our beliefs.
It is so fun when a side-by-side reading is done with the face and aura of a person.
Hi Rose
I wanted to add that I know someone in my life right now who unlike me is able to spiritually connect through really intense physical activity. (I work out but I’m no Phelps!) It’s really interesting to me how, for me, silence and quiet make it easy for me, but it is almost the opposite for this person.
Your reading of Phelps confirms this suspicion I had that this person feels the same connection, just doing different things.
Thank you for this incredible reading, Rose! I also recommend that empaths plug into Phelps’ experience in the water: what a rush!
Some of my readings/thoughts are:
Way of relating to body and environment databank at the Root Chakra
Phelps preparing to race: This is definitely not “Michael Phelps” swimming, or not just his normal self. He gets so big! It is neat to think of it like preparing for aura reading, as Rose noted. One of the TV commentators was saying that Michael Phelps does the exact same routine before every swim. What a great way to ensure that he gets big! Another swimmer, when asked about his own routine, said, “Well, I don’t have one. I just get in the pool and swim as fast as I can.”
Phelps racing in the water: This experience puts the cliche of being “In the Zone” to shame. And it definitely does not feel human, I agree. There are no other competitors. As Rose said later, Phelps fills the pool.
(When I used to compete in sports, I had an unfortunately different experience. I got “big,” but I was intensely aware of everyone’s emotions on the court or field, and in the crowd. I could feel that “Susie” was only concerned about her assist to turnover ratio, that “Jane” was out to prove something, that “Amy” was so angry she was probably going to foul out of the game, and that when the coach yelled at “Mary” she stuffed her rage down, which would later come out as brutal gossip behind his back. I don’t know how unskilled empaths can make it in professional sports.)
Current emotional balance databank at the Heart Chakra
Phelps in the water: Yes, it isn’t emotions, but it’s like he has merged into his body and yet is something greater, elevated. He’s not racing as “I” (his normal personality), which makes the media’s incessant attention on his gold medals and “personal goals and achievements” even more amusing. Notice how he always handles their questions: with humility, almost awe at himself and his races. If you compare this to the ego of some athletes, it’s really incredible.
Way of relating to his sexuality databank at the Belly Chakra
Phelps in the water: As Rose said, the “sexuality” part is irrelevant. What is here is quite an experience. I get tingles at the amount of energy , the merge of body and spiritual energy, his getting huge. It makes me have to take a deep breath. He allows such enormous energy to help him race, which of course is accessible to him in swimming through his physical fitness, intensive training, and skill.
Spiritual connection to Source databank at the Third Eye Chakra
Phelps in the water: Yes, he has morphed into a different intelligence. I agree that “dolphin” is a good way to describe it. It’s animal but so elevated (and physical at the same time).
Soul expression databank at the High Heart Chakra
Phelps in the water: Again, what a huge rush of energy to merge with! Take a deep breath… it’s so beautiful, such a beautiful balance. I don’t want to leave this experience. I remember how Rose read Phelps’ great use of intellect for his swimming, and he really balances many parts of him in racing including getting so big. I have trouble finding words for it… there’s no worry, no doubt. It felt like my heart was wide open.
Thank you Rose!
[...] Reading Dana’s recent experience doing an empath-merge with Michael Phelps (Comment 3, here), I’m inspired to share this chance to be deeply [...]
Dana,
What a beautiful beautiful comment, so perceptive and articulate. Just wonderful!! It thrilled my soul to read your words.
Rose,
I don’t want to suggest another athlete because I already suggested Phelps and got my wish to see a face/aura reading of him. I want to give other blog-readers a chance to have a face/aura reading of an athlete of their choice.
Rose and Dana,
Thanks to both of you for your insight! It is amazing how humans can “change” or our auras can change, depending on the situation.
Wow, this reading is really amazing. Thank you, Rose and Dana! I read it a few days ago and it really informed me as I watched Phelps race.
I already sensed that he raced in this way, but I hadn’t “tuned in” to this degree. I had definitely noticed that he didn’t have the same tension, stress, nervousness before a competition that others have that seems to inhibit their ability to perform.
I swim laps for exercise and know that expanding out of your body and “zoning out” like that is probably much easier for swimmers than other athletes – the water can definitely put a cushion between you and a lot of sensory experience that could be distracting.
Thanks for the reading Rose, I think it has definitely planted a big seed in my mind in terms of people with a very real, very large spiritual connection who aren’t necessarily interested in “spiritual things”.
Your observations on Phelps’s sexuality surprised me. But then today, I saw this:

Interesting!
ANGELA, thanks. Not the loveliest website but a validation….
You know, whenever you Blog-Buddies find links related to my readings, it is great for you to bring them up here, pro or con. I just use Deeper Perception on a photo, and usually know NOTHING else about the people I’m reading.
