Publication Day for E-Book for Empaths

October 9th, 2008 by Rose Rosetree

empath novel, skilled empath, Rose RosetreeWow, Blog-Buddies, today’s the day! Those of you who know me well are aware that for the past month I’ve been working night and day to start making my books available as e-books.

You know, reformatting my books for this new medium in my “spare time.”

Lots of goofs and seemingly wasted hours later, the first e-book edition is posted today, October 9, 2008. An Empath Among the Righteous: A Spiritual Thriller is now available as a Kindle edition through Amazon.

It has a better title and a new cover, too. Aside from minor edits, it’s the same novel about Rachel Murphy, a well-meaning woman, devoted mother and aspiring romantic, but often cranky and clueless.

For those of you who still favor a book you can cuddle or write on or safely take with you into the bubble bath, there’s the original paperback novel. In honor of the e-book, we’re drastically reducing the paperback price for one month only, starting today.

The Roar of the Huntids usually sells for $22.95, but we’re reducing the cover price down to $14.95 until Nov. 9. It will show on our shopping cart for secure online orders starting tomorrow, the 10th, but you can call starting immediately and get that special deal.

The toll-free number for ordering books, working in both the U.S. and Canada, is available 24/7. Call 800-345-6665.

Either edition is a spiritual thriller, satirizing American society while telling a coming-of-age story about a talented but extremely unskilled empath.

I can’t find the meaning of ‘huntid’ at http://www.answers.com, what does it mean?

In this novel, “huntids” are strangely colored flies who begin to appear in the year 2020, setting off controversy.

Are they caused by terrorism? Are they a result of playing around with genetic modification? Do they really pose grave danger?

These huntids set off political and religious chaos in this novel. But no, you won’t find them in any dictionary!

Against the background of trying times, the novel’s heroine is pressured to the point where she MUST learn skills as an empath. You know, something many of us natural empaths are dealing with right now. In reality.

One reader of this novel told me she stayed up all night because she couldn’t wait to find out the ending. That could be the high point of my career as a novelist so far.

When do you think you’ll get your other books (esp. Reading Auras and Cutting the Cord of Attachment) in E-book format? Will they ever be available for instant PDF download on your own website?

PENNY, great to hear from you.

I’m getting every title available for E-book format except for “Wrinkles Are God’s Makeup: How You Can Find Meaning in Your Evolving Face.”

That title contains very expensive photos courtesy of Getty Images; I paid thousands of dollars to use them in the original print edition. If I were to pay for rights to do that as an E-book, I would probably lose money on every copy. So the only source for that book, now and into the distant future, is through my toll-free number, 800-345-6665, and at my website, http://www.rose-rosetree.com.

I’m so glad you are into this new technology. Let me know how you like all the books, including the two you mentioned, Aura Reading Through All Your Senses and Cutting Cords of Attachment.

Keep reading (and commenting) at this blog for announcements of publication. And thanks for asking.

Thanks for the prompt response, Rose. I look forward to getting your book(s) in electronic format; not only is it space-saving, mobile, and convenient…it also saves paper and trees. :) I’d love to be able to get them on my Palm Pilot (MobiPocket) and as PDF on my laptop. There’s also audio (not my preferred way, but many people like it) such as Audible. Many options are out there. I’ll be looking out for them. :) As for the books I mentioned, I just ordered them a couple of days ago, so I’ll definitely post my opinions. Thanks!
