Aura Reading in America’s New Age

The elephant has left the living room. Even without Aura Reading you can feel it, but — as with so many situations in life — Aura Reading adds the most delicious relish.

With the election of our first African-American president, something in our collective consciousness has changed. Even the stodgy Washington Post carried a quote (from California, where else?) that now there is a “new aura” in America.

I’ll start, of course. The main thing I have noticed relates to the Aura Reading gift of Clairaudience.

Demographically I am considered part of the “white” category. I have friendships with people in the “black” category for whom race hasn’t been an issue. But I also have acquaintances and neighbors where it has always been an underlying issue, like the proverbial elephant in the room. Right from the first hello, in these relationships, I have heard variations on this theme:

“You’re prejudiced. You and the other whites are so prejudiced, and you have hurt me more than you will ever know. Don’t think I don’t know how you really feel about me, whatever words you say. And don’t think I’ll ever forgive you.”

It’s a weird position to be in because you can’t verbally counter an argument that you know about only because… you’re eavesdropping with deeper perception.

Well, the day after the election, I started hearing the most wonderful contrast. That dispiriting mental and emotional static simply wasn’t there. No longer was I presumed to be a suspect in a crime that I hadn’t, personally, committed. My brothers and sisters and I could now talk, simply talk.

AURA READING OF THE REV. JESSE JACKSON

Like you, perhaps, I stayed up watching TV coverage during and after the victory speech of our new president, Barack Obama. His speech, and aura, were magnificent.

Senator McCain’s concession speech was his finest hour. The old John McCain was back, no longer playing Karl Rove-style politics. I really did admire him.

And then the crowds, one joy-filled aura after another!

It was so touching, catching Oprah Winfrey’s face peeking out from the crowd, with a vulnerability and wonder I had never seen in her before. Her personal role as a King Maker wasn’t in evidence, just the purity of heart that is her single greatest talent.

But my favorite sight was of the Rev. Jesse Jackson. That proud man, weeping.

Jackson hadn’t exactly supported Obama from Day One, yet you may know that Jackson has given his life to using his considerable political talents to heal America’s racial divide. And here he was, at this historic time, a winner despite everything.

In his honor, here is a brief Aura Reading of Jesse Jackson on Election Night.

Incidentally, the photo at the start of this post is NOT the one being read but instead the TV image of Jackson at the big street party in Chicago where Obama gave his victory speech. I couldn’t find that image in a reasonable amount of search time. But maybe you, watching that night, felt it burn into your consciousness, as happened with me.

• Sense of Self as a Black Man, Aura Reading Databank at the Root Chakra

Shudders of relief move through the Reverend. This databank is a complex one for him, riddled with scar tissue, sacrifice, hopes, fears, and (largely under-appreciated) work on behalf of his country.

Imagine a cyclist who rides on behalf of others as well as himself. Racing uphill for miles, he has been giving the journey every bit of strength he has, to the point where he’s nearly gone numb. Now, finally, finally, he has reached the top of that steep climb.

Finally he can begin to let go. Even to coast! To see the view and know how far he has come!

• Soul Expression as a Black Man, Aura Reading Databank at the High Heart Chakra

Divine connection has never been stronger in Jesse Jackson’s lifetime than it is, right in this minute. The grace of God pours in, thick and stinging and golden as honey. And for Jackson, whose political aspirations are not prominently on display, there still is the voice of God saying the victory is his, too, and ”Well done.”

This part of the Aura Reading on Rev. Jackson is a reminder that Obama’s victory was a tribute to all the loving people who, one way or another, have been part of the soul group working to bring racial justice to the world. Jackson, having given more than most of us, has also received more… including right in this moment.

Compassion for himself is the main forgiveness experience, in that moment of victory.

Jesse Jackson is no sentimentalist, especially about his life. In that heart chakra, there’s scant attention to how hard he has struggled or how many times he has had to pick himself back up and start over. Yet in this moment, I find a most welcome healing, where — to the extent he has blamed himself for not personally managing to heal all of America’s dismal racial patterns — Jesse Jackson finally forgives himself.

For the Rev. Jesse Jackson, or you, or me, being hard on oneself is understandable, if not quite fair: When we take on a huge project here at Earth School, of course, we will tend to gauge our success in terms of that project, suffering because of what is left undone rather than praising our accomplishments, however great.

It brings relief when we choose to remember how hard we have strived, regardless of the degree to which worldly success measures up to our dreams.

On a miracle night like November 4, 2008, when a great dream comes true, each of us can open up spiritually to savor the victory. Each of us can feel a connection to grace that transcends mere relief. Jesse Jackson did in his way. I did in my way. And in your own sacred way, I hope you do, too.
