SUZANNE, anyone with average intelligence can be hypnotized successfully.

It's that simple.

I know that sometimes people have experiences that are not ideal, perhaps in a group hypnosis setting or with someone who is not professionally trained.

Before entrusting yourself to the care of a hypnotist, here's a simple question to ask: "Are you a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists?"

This is the premier organization for hypnotists, a huge organization with ethical standards and professional standards.

If you have been involved in a group hypnosis situation, know that this is a hit-or-miss way to experience hypnosis. Personally, I do not attempt healing in this way.

I don't recommend it as a way to save money as a consumer, although if it does work for you, great!

SUZANNE and LISA, I've been away and just returned. Both these questions deserve new blog posts. Give me some days to do it!

Meanwhile, thanks to both of you for writing. And you, LISA, I think this is your first comment here, isn't it? Hooray!

It would be interesting if you can share a few stories of what some of your clients have experienced going through a regression session.

I have a question about Energy Release Regression Therapy: how much are the results dependent on the client's ability to go within and receive answers by questioning?

I've never been hypnotized, and while I hope that I am able to be hypnotized, I've heard that it is a state similar to an everyday state of awareness. So, I'm worried that if I were asked questions under hypnosis, I would draw a blank and not be able to come up with any memories.
