Gratitude Technique + Aura Reading Perspective
July 24th, 2009 by Rose Rosetree
Gratitude can be used as a technique for spiritual healing, chakra balancing, overall cleansing of your aura.
Certain DO’s and DON’Ts are needed in order to make Gratitude a powerful and transforming technique. The perspective of Aura Reading helps, too.
1. DO use Gratitude as a Technique
It would be ridiculous to grumble about gratitude, like railing against motherhood and apple pie. Yet I can’t resist bringing the perspective of Aura Reading to separate the wheat from the chaff, the spirituality from the “nice try.”
You can do better than simply have an “Attitude of Gratitude.” If you really want results, it’s important to refine your use of gratitude.
Your aura will show improvement from using Gratitude Technique consistently on a daily basis. Yes, that improvement is real enough to show every time you use the technique, if only you do a Before-and-After Aura Reading.
To do that kind of Aura Reading, in depth and detail, see the LINKS section at the end of today’s post. To learn Gratitude Technique, keep reading.
2. In the Here and Now, Choose Gratitude
That present-time aspect is essential. It’s not enough to say inwardly, “I’m grateful for my life” or “I am richly blessed.”
Overall gratitude, as a belief, is all well and good. But beliefs won’t bring strength, flow, or healing to your aura. It’s like folks today who have heard that yoga does wonders. Well, that’s true. But not if you simply walk around carrying a yoga mat.
Yoga can improve your aura, spiritual awareness, and health — but only if you actually do the postures. Similarly, gratitude becomes a technique, rather than a slogan, when you remember to practice it.
So DON’T just add a little sentence to your routine prayers and think, “Now I’ve got gratitude covered.” That wouldn’t be a technique but a formality.
Aura Reading can reveal the difference between business as usual vs. the powerful effects of Gratitude Technique.
Just the intent to find something for which you, personally, are grateful, here and now: Doing this will raise your vibrations. At the level of Aura Reading, this produces a temporary, subtle shift to your aura. The pace will speed up just a bit.
By choosing gratitude, you have done the equivalent of turning a car key in the ignition. Nice start!
3. DO Choose to Be Grateful for Something in Particular
You can find something, if only you aim your awareness. It could be something that is happening now or a recent event. It could be something about yourself, another person, your surroundings, your own health, something you have just understood.
The very act of choosing to be grateful about something in your own life right now — that’s important. You’re using free will to pay attention as a human being.
As opposed to what? It isn’t unusual for my first-time clients to reveal a “supposed-to” attitude toward life.
When I facilitate sessions of Aura Healing and Transformation, I’ll ask every client for an intention. “Jim,” a new client, might say, “To find out what I’m supposed to do with my life.”
Another popular variation is, “Find all my cords of attachment, Rose. Then tell me which one I am meant to cut first.”
Human life is a splendid opportunity for spiritual evolution. But that evolution will be slowed down drastically with a fatalistic attitude.
Your human life is bursting with prime-quality information for your spiritual evolution.
-
There’s feedback about your past actions.
-
There’s outpicturing of your inner state.
-
There are YES and NO impulses related to choices you can make right now.
-
Everything about your mind-body-spirit-environment, etc. is full of possibilities that are meaningful for you.
So DON’T ask your guide to tell you what to be grateful for. Ask yourself.
Aura Reading will show a slight change to one or more of your chakras as you do this. If someone has told you that your aura is a particular color that you will carry through life, that person might have been over-simplifying just a bit.
Yes, different parts of your aura anatomy are known as chakras. Even more precisely, you can learn to read chakra databanks. (See LINKS.)
Depending on how you direct your consciousness, in the here and now, different chakra databanks grow in size. Chakra databanks may also change in quality.
It’s a small shift, but habits are made with small shifts like these.
Think about it. Finding something specific in the here and now to be grateful for — you must shift your attention to something in the physical environment, Earth reality, like smelling that freshly baked apple pie or seeing the loving smile on your mother’s face.
By paying attention to your human life, you’re waking up chakra databanks in your root chakra. Maybe you’ll also expand some chakra databanks in your belly and solar plexus chakras. Do some before-and-after Aura Reading and behold the increased liveliness.
4. DO Open up Your Heart to Gratitude
After you choose something to be grateful for, here and now, allow yourself to feel it. Gratitude isn’t merely a slogan. At least it doesn’t need to be.
Gratitude is a sacred emotion. As you feel it, your heart will open more to the good and the true and the spiritual. This creates a wonderful cycle where that very openness makes it easier for you to feel gratitude the next time.
Who gets that cycle rolling? It has to be you, making us of that super-powerful free will.
DON’T open up your heart to everything in life you could possibly notice, like that serial killer on the TV news or your best friend’s misery. Let Michael Jackson go, for heaven’s sake. His soul probably checked out of that lifetime years ago.
Especially if you were born as an empath, be discerning when you open the door to your heart.
Gratitude, as a technique, gives you permission to open that door as wide as can be. An Aura Reading will reveal improvement to the quality and size of your heart chakra databanks.
5. DO Time Your Use of Gratitude Technique, Including Honesty
Sure, you are lifting yourself vibrationally and helping to balance your chakras. However, this won’t happen if you use gratitude as a force for denial.
DON’T try to swap out gratitude in exchange for a negative emotion.
If you feel sad or angry or frightened, let yourself feel it. Not forever. Not wallowing for all eternity. But surely you can spare a minute or two for your own personal, and very justifiable, emotions.
-
Theorizing about those emotions isn’t feeling them.
-
Explaining away those emotions isn’t feeling them.
-
Using your spirituality in any way to push emotions away isn’t feeling them.
-
And pushing yourself into gratitude might seem like a neat replacement for uncomfortable feelings. But that isn’t really honoring yourself very much.
Let yourself feel what you feel for a short time. Soon there will be a subtle shift. Then is a better time to sail into gratitude.
Aura Reading Can Tell True Gratitude from Fake
Sometimes Aura Reading shows fake gratitude, and it ain’t pretty. There could be negative thought forms, stuck and warped chakra databanks, etc.
Can people build walls around themselves by clamping down their mouths in a phony smile and muttering, “I am richly blessed”? You betcha.
But elegant use of the Gratitude Technique honors your authentic emotions, then lifts them. Aura Reading will show you have accomplished something beautiful. Your life will show it, too.

Rose, this is a fantastic post.
I especially like how you explained the importance of free will and also the very important distinction between “fake” gratitude and real gratitude, as well as the gesture of gratitude as a formality or afterthought vs. the real act and emotion of gratitude.
All of this does show up aurically and eventually affects our lives – in this case, for the better! Thoughts become choices, which become actions, which become habits, then become values, then become a way of living. This thought of gratitude can become a choice in how we think and live and make a big difference for ourselves and the people in our lives.
Hi Rose,
I enjoyed this post–the way you explain nuances about gratitude and suggestions experiencing it. Also, the part about how difficult emotions fit in–FEEL THEM first, then let them pass, and be more clear to feel gratitude; not to ignore them and “replace” with gratitude.
I have been kind of mucked up with a lot of different, challenging, emotions right now (fear, anxiety, anger…), and being able to shift into some gratitude techniques is helpful and a relief. Thanks for the detailed descriptions of so many nuances… I’ll see how it goes.
Also, what a great picture of you in the pink sweater–that’s a beautiful color for you, and the gold detail is very pretty.
Really great post Rose. I do remind myself periodically to feel/think about what I am grateful for but it is easy to get out of the habit of appreciation, especially as I am so often focused upon what I want to be different in my life.
I am almost finished reading the Roar of the Huntids and am really enjoying it. I stayed up very late reading it last night. It is not just a vehicle for the ideas, but fascinating sci fi and story too. Thank you for writing it!
Hi Anita! Nice to see a comment from you! hope you are well! that was such a great aura reading you did of me from a photo back in 05. It really helped to galvanize me into action.
