Empath Merge with Amazing Eunice Shriver

August 19th, 2009 by Rose Rosetree

empath merge, aura readingHow can you tell when a public figure has reached the highest levels of spiritual attainment? At this time in human history, the compliment is quite subtle: After the smallest bit of public acknowledgment, that person will quickly disappear. Years ago, this happened with Mother Teresa. Now it just happened with the great and late Eunice Shriver. aura reading, empath mergeIn both cases, the American public became obsessed with the death of a flashier celebrity who died around the same time. When the Catholic saint of Calcutta moved on, attention shifted to Lady Diana, remember?

And this time, amid respectful but brief conversation about Shriver’s founding a major social movement, mourners loudly lamented the death of Michael Jackson. One fan quote that I read in the Washington Post ran: “I will never get over this.”

Isn’t that pattern fascinating? Sad but definitely fascinating! The pattern reminds me of a favorite passage from the New Testament (Matthew, Chapter 6, verses 1-6), where Jesus is talking about charity — the difference between loud public giving vs. the more private and sacred kind:

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Spiritual living, like spiritual giving, happens mostly in private, doesn’t it? Now I don’t in the least want to trivialize the achievements of Michael Jackson, nor the sweetness of Lady Diana, but let’s do some counter-culture celebrating. Let’s celebrate Eunice Shriver with the highest compliment I can give, an Empath Merge.

IN CASE YOU NEED REMINDING, WHO WAS EUNICE?

Personally, I needed more than reminding. When Eunice Shriver died, I knew nothing about her whatsoever.

That’s because, back in the day, I never sullied my eyes by reading newspapers. (Newspaper reading didn’t really start happening for me until I moved into the Washington D.C. area around 1983. Since then I’ve gone to the other extreme about paying attention to the news and never missing elections.)

Despite my lack of attention, Eunice Shriver was rather busy in her public life. She founded the Special Olympics. In so doing, she started a movement to help the disabled to claim their full potential in life. Before this, the developmentally disabled were given publicly invisible. After this, they were given the chance to compete, to achieve, to shine.

In researching photos for this tribute to President Kennedy’s sister, I came across these eloquent words about Shriver’s achievement from the website of Patricia E. Bauer: “More than 50 million people in the United States have disabilities, a number that is growing rapidly as the population ages. Experts say disability will soon affect the lives of most Americans.

“To say that the lot of people with intellectual disabilities has improved because of Special Olympics would be a gross understatement. Shriver’s movement did nothing less than release an entire population from a prison of ignorance and misunderstanding.

It did something else, too — create a cathartic covenant between competitor and fan that is unlike anything else in sport.”empath merge, aura readingHere’s Shriver in 1970. That’s where I’m going to start researching her with an Empath Merge.

AND REMINDING YOU ABOUT EMPATH MERGE

If you’re among the 1 in 20 Americans born as an Empath, the quick-&-easiest way to improve your life is to become a Skilled Empath. That way, your empath gift(s) will be turned OFF most of the time. In contrast to what? An Unskilled Empath is merely talented. Gifts are turned ON during all waking hours. Consequently, an Unskilled Empath is constantly picking up STUFF from other people’s auras, where it is deposited within their own auric field.

All this volunteer work is subconscious, so the volunteer doesn’t even know how much do-gooding takes place. Even worse, taking another person’s STUFF into one’s aura is not a particularly effective way of helping others. If you want to be a do-gooder, you can learn to do better!

What changes when you become a Skilled Empath? Besides feeling better and being able to help people more effective, you can learn a safe way to turn your empath gift(s) ON for brief but powerful periods of time. At will, you can consciously use a technique for Skilled Empath Merge. This propels you, gracefully and savely, into the experience of true Otherness.

You move inside the other person’s aura with your own consciousness. Thus, you receive a direct experience of what it is like to be another person. Choosing to do this is the greatest compliment I can think of. Personally, I only do a Skilled Empath Merge:

    • For service to others, e.g., With a client, during a personal session dedicated to healing.
    • Or for personal inspiration, e.g., I will do an Empath Merge with someone I really admire… like amazing Eunice Shriver.

During sessions of healing, doing a 30-second Empath Merge with a client isn’t a compliment so much as a way to save time, gathering a whole lot of information really fast. But to do an Empath Merge on Shriver –that’s the compliment. I do it because I’m curious and also because I know enough about her to trust that the experience will be positive.

    EMPATH MERGE, NOT AURA READING

Sometimes a student will wonder what is the difference between doing an Empath Merge and an Aura Reading. The language for talking about what is found could be identical. Just as mathematics is the language of science, Aura Reading is the language of energy. So a person could use the language of Aura Reading to convey any of these (and more):

    • Intuitive perception
    • Hunches about people
    • Detailed information about gifts of the soul
    • Detailed diagnosis of STUFF — emotional and/or spiritual blockage at the astral level
    • Forms of Astral Debris, like having Astral Entities stuck in one’s energy field
    • Identifying and healing Astral-level problems, such as the techniques in my workshop for Spiritual Cleansing and Protecting
    • Identifying and healing physical problems, especially when using techniques like Donna Eden’s Energy Medicine
    • Exploration of the celestial (astral) realm for connecting to spirit guides, animal spirits, flower fairies, etc.
    • Spiritual or religious experience at its most intense, direct, clear

But there is a world of difference between having an experience through a technique of Aura Reading versus doing a Skilled Empath Merge. Both are ways to read people deeper. Both will give you direct experience.

But only born empaths can do Empath Merge.

By contrast, everyone can become really good at Aura Reading. Teachers are useful for learning both skill sets. Also, having a teacher doesn’t mean that you lack talent. It means that you want to honor your talent, save yourself problems, and not have to do the equivalent of re-inventing the wheel.

When you do Aura Reading, you receive useful information. But when you do Empath Merge, you become the information and, afterwards, can describe it in words. In my opinion, the best thing about Aura Reading is that it brings the experience of Otherness. You get outside the box of yourself and learn about another person’s box.

And the best thing about a Skilled Empath Merge is that it brings the experience of Oneness. So, yes, it is a compliment to Eunice Shriver, choosing to do an Empath Merge rather than an Aura Reading.

Read along with me, you Skilled Empaths. Use the Darshan technique from Empowered by Empathy on the following photos.

EMPATH MERGE WITH EUNICE, TWO DIFFERENT VIEWS

Empath Merge, Aura ReadingJust for fun, let’s have two different Empath Merges on Eunice Shriver. One will use the photo from 1970 earlier in this post. (For reference, you might wish to open up this Empath Merge Photo #1, paste it onto a blank document, then pull the corners to enlarge.)

empath merge, aura readingOur second photo shows Eunice in Africa. The year is 2002, and she is posing with two Special Olympics athletes. (For reference, you might wish to open up Empath Merge Photo #2, paste it onto a blank document, then pull the corners to enlarge.)

Aura Reading Databank: Presence for Leadership When in Public, Located at the Root Chakra

    • Eunice Shriver in 1970: Life is solemn for Eunice at this stage in her life. I’m impressed by how she has overcome tragedy (including her brother’s assassination and the lobotomy of her “retarded” sister Rosemary). Eunice’s way of coping has been to deeply own the pain, then choosing to recommit to life. And she brings this gravitas to her public role.

    • Eunice Shriver in 2002: She stands believing in second chances. Eunice has explored the way that steadfast purpose, applied to human life, can accomplish great things. She offers her life as an example to others.

In a way, the quality at this Aura Reading databank reminds me of young Academy Award or Emmy or Grammy winners. If you’ve watched award shows like these, you’ve heard the speech often: “I just want to tell everyone out there that if you follow your dream and don’t give up, you can win, just the way I did.”

I love watching award shows, Aura Reading the winners or, sometimes, doing Empath Merges.

But much as I love to hitch-hike on all that joy, I’ve got to tell you. Sentiments that “Everyone can do this” and “Follow your dream” are quite different when popping out of the lips of a young performer.

However graciously they perform at an awards ceremony, stars tend to have big egos. Hey, they need them, in such a competitive profession. And, to me at least, there’s something a bit disingenuous about having a movie star pretend that everyone can win that top award. Only so many are given out every year, after all.

(So it’s fascinating to read what is going on within that star while the ritual lines are spoken, e.g., Big acting to make the public love her/him all the more, slipping into cliches and sentimentality, etc.)

By contrast, Eunice isn’t trying to fool anyone, directly or indirectly. She isn’t telling anyone what to do, sincerely or otherwise. Instead she is doing exactly what true spiritual teachers do, showing by example. As you may know, spritual wisdom isn’t so much taught as caught.

And when it comes to doing great things in life, helping others, being of service, making a real difference — that isn’t at all like competing for a golden statue. Everyone can be nominated, because you must nominate yourself.

And then you must do the work. And then you must stand up to whatever life happens to give you in return, whether pleasant or not.

I just love experiencing how Eunice Shriver boldly stands in her service, quietly aware of being available, humbly, as a reminder to others. Aurically, this is what she is saying: “If you wish, you can do all I have done (or better) in your own way. I promise you, it isn’t so hard. Just don’t give up, no matter what.”

Aura Reading Databank: Use of Personal Power for Leadership

Located at the Solar Plexus Chakra

  • Eunice Shriver in 1970: She struggles much more than you’d guess from that studiously dignified mask of a face. Anger fuels her at least as much as hope.

  • Frankly, Eunice has quite a temper. She has felt injustice, and doesn’t plan to be a victim. Or allow others to be victims, not if there’s anything she can do about it.

Mostly she leads with her intellect and will, summoning power. But righteous indignation is definitely the energizer behind it all.

  • Eunice Shriver in 2002: Emotion has become more important in the way that she uses her power. Emotions like gratitude, joy, and confidence are directing that will of iron.

  •  Aura Reading Databank: Emotional Support of Others

    Located at the Heart Chakra

  • Eunice Shriver in 1970: Such a mom! I dare you to find a more maternal way of connecting to others. Eunice spontaneously lives with extraordinary qualities of tenderness, generosity, unconditional love, selflessness.

    • Eunice Shriver in 2002: In this photo you see her in the process of emotionally supporting others. With those two young athletes, Eunice is giving each one enormous support.

To appreciate what’s going on at the level of Aura Reading, imagine that each of her hands isn’t merely wrapping around a boy’s shoulder. She’s holding the equivalent of a giant hypodermic needle and injecting, into each child, a loud message. Dazzlingly loud!

“You can do it. Yes, you can. Believe in yourself.”

Shifting over to what it’s like, within Eunice herself, at this Aura Reading databank:  Eunice has gained greater mastery over her gift for nurturing others. She has learned discernment, and thus is more selective than she used to be.

    • Whom will she hold in her heart?

    • Whom will she send that maternal kind of love?

    • When will she choose to do it?

Then, when Eunice does direct that bright beam, it’s more concentrated even than before.

Aura Reading Databank: Commitment to Religion

Located at the Third Eye Chakra

  • Eunice Shriver in 1970: It’s the third eye of a mystic, not just a Catholic. Eunice has a commitment that transcends religious dogma and rituals.

  • She is fully plugged into the experience of God. It’s that simple. And, to her, God is love. The path to deeper connection to God is love. The way to say “Thank you”to God is to show people love.

  • Eunice Shriver in 2002: Oooh, my very favorite thing! Hooray!

  • Just in case you’re wondering, “What could possibly be better than what Eunice had by the 70′s?” She’s been evolving, as all of us can here at Earth School.

Before, Eunice had connection to God. But, over time, she developed personal and conscious awareness of that connection.

Having a self-aware connection to God isn’t self-conscious, in the sense that a professional religious spokesperson like Tim LaHaye is always “on” while in public.

This spiritual self-awareness flows as a kind of advanced surrender. It’s a more advanced state of consciousness, very rare in human life. Thus far, at least. And absolutely glorious.

Yes, Skilled Empaths, if you have the opportunity to use energetic literacy do the Darshan technique, choose that more recent photo of Eunice Shriver. It will make your day.

    HI Rose,

What a wonderful way to start my day with the spiritual guidance and role modeling of Eunice Shriver. I didn’t know a lot about her, so it is nice to learn.

So often, the sensational and tragic headlines are what I know of her famous family of origin, so it is wonderful to read of her quiet strength and amazing service, AMAZING service!!!, that she accomplished with the Special Olympics. Wow.

It was really inspirational to me how Eunice evolved in her lifetime through persistence, service and wisdom – a great role model!

I went to a Special Olympics track meet once with a group of high school students. The other teachers told me that it would be a worthwhile experience for me but they didn’t say more.

I had been to and participated in plenty of track meets myself but not Special Olympics, and I figured “same thing”. But I was wrong. It was so wonderful it brought tears to my eyes and still does.

It helped redefine competition for me, winning and losing. I was probably doing unskilled empathic merges, so it was extra powerful…

    Rose,

I enjoyed reading this portrait of Mrs. Shriver. Before I read your words, I checked in myself and was happy to find pretty much what you did. Eunice’s *JOY* just radiated out of that second picture – how could anyone miss that level of joyfulness? It’s from the soul – no question. We don’t often get to see that and yes, she did all her work quietly and without fuss. What a blessing she’s been to many.
