Aura Reading to Answer Questions about Joel Osteen

Well, our two-part Aura Reading has expanded, hasn’t it? Joel Osteen is so fascinating, likeable, talented, human.

I couldn’t resist writing a Part 3 to answer the rest of the questions that resulted from the Face Reading part of this series plus Blog-Buddy comments when originally nominating Rev. Joel for this Aura Reading.

Aura Reading Question #1: Tolerance

Lisa V. asked one of her typical perceptive questions about Joel at Comment #12 when I originally invited suggestions for Aura Reading Research. Asking about the popular televangelist, Lisa wanted to know, ”whether he has tolerance/respect for other religious views, also if he possesses a sincere sense of humility.”

For quick background about the method I use to do Aura Reading research, see yesterday’s post. Admittedly, when a photo (like this one) doesn’t show the full torso, I use a somewhat advanced variation.

Maybe you know this. Just as everyone’s aura has major chakras, each aura contains layers to it, like an onion. Well, those layers correspond to major chakras — starting with Layer 1, closest to the body, informing you about the root chakra. Pop out next to Layer 2 and you have info. about the belly chakra.

This is just one reason why I am a bit skeptical when someone tells me “my aura is white and gold” etc. At which layer? Where white? Where gold?

For the record, I don’t teach this variation of reading one layer at a time used for this headshot, but it will naturally develop for you if you use techniques like “Darshan” in Empowered by Empathy or “Aura Reading from Photos” in Read People Deeper. (See LINKS section at the end of this post for more details.)

Now, back at Joel Osteen….

“Tolerance for Others, Intellectually” Aura Reading Databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra

This is an ambivalent area for Joel. The gift of his soul at this chakra databank is for experiencing the God of Love. If one person, other than Joel himself, were responsible for his success, that would have to be God, and how Joel happens to have circuits to experience God as a loving, light-filled Being.

However, as you may know, every chakra databank contains both a gift of the soul, permanent like a fingerprint, and then — the possibility at least of – STUFF, stored-up emotional and/or spiritual debris. STUFF can always be healed. Yet while it is part of an aura, and is big enough to show in an Aura Reading, the impact can be significant.

Basically, if a lot of STUFF is going on, as far as the person is concerned, the gift may not be experienced, or in some cases the gift isn’t even used much at all.

Regarding tolerance of various religious viewpoints, Fundamentalist Christians don’t usually have the most open minds or third eyes. Fundamentalists of any religion are like that — it’s part of the price being paid for religious certainty along the lines of “A mighty fortress is our God.”

When you think about it, that hymn title is a celebration of the power component of Divinity. But you might find other ways to appreciate that Divine power, rather than “This is my never-failing bulwark.” I certainly do!

With Joel, conflict is in evidence. Deeply embedded in his subconscious mind are statements he has heard throughout his religious education about religious superiority, even fear of thinking outside the usual box. (Ever hear of that concept called “Hell for all eternity”?)

Yet in his own consciousness, Joel experiences a different kind of God. Which brings us to our next chakra databank….

Keep in mind, Blog-Buddies, that I know next to nothing about this preacher and the religion he advocates. I think in some comment or other at my blog, someone said he is more about love and a sharing, kind, sort of relationship to God that doesn’t seem like the views of a traditional Fundamentalist authority figure.

I really don’t know anything else yet about Joel Osteen or his views. Pardon my ignorance! I didn’t even know he had written books of any kind, let alone mega-bestsellers, until I began googling for his photograph.

Even so, doing any technique of Aura Reading or Empath Merge or Face Reading, I do my very best to put aside anything I do know or feel about the person. I start fresh. And built into every one of the techniques I teach (and use), there is as much help as possible for purity and clarity during the process.

When someone is a preacher, there has to be a distinction between what is going on with him while in his evangelical role vs. what happens with him as a human being. I’m reading that former databank now, using the posed photo as a person shown at the top of this blog.

God is, unquestionably, the love of Joel’s life. Yes, I’ve read he is married. But there are variations even among big loves. And this particular love couldn’t be bigger.

He is dunked in this love, passionately connected through this love. And the God who connects so strongly to Joel is a God of love. The secondary attribute is light, inspiration.

As for the power component of God, it isn’t really a factor in Joel’s everyday experience.

This makes perfect sense to me, as I have made a study for more than a decade of the three major components of God and how people experience one or both or all three or none: love, light, and power.

This study was inspired by my teacher Bill Bauman and formed the main core of exploration for a book that I worked on for 3 1/2 years, “Let Today Be a Holiday: 365 Ways to Co-Create with God.”

In short, Joel isn’t connecting with God as an authority figure, especially. But what happens to Joel when he is BEING an authority figure about God? For that, let’s turn to a photo of him where he is clearly in his role as a preacher.

The shift will fascinate you, Blog-Buddies, if you check out these two items of Aura Reading Research.

Here Joel is all about his ego. He’s giving a performance. The connection with God lessens significantly. In terms of inch-age, the size of a chakra databank that depends upon amount of STUFF, quality of STUFF, and life choices, here is the shift I notice reading Joel’s third eye databanks at the third layer out:

• Personally connecting to God: Out into deep space. (Okay, you can supply the number of inches if you wish.) Basically, it’s the third eye of a mystic.
• Preaching about God: 7 inches. (There’s a hidden, deeper component with the usual connection he carries, but much of that energy isn’t available except to people who have learned how to make their own spiritual connection. The preacher’s effective God-connection is small, and perfectly adapted to help those who HAVEN’T made that connection yet to a personal experience God as love and light.)

Personally, this shift within Joe gives me compassion for someone who must have overcome significant shyness to take to the stage on behalf of religion. (And yes, overcoming that shyness shows beautifully at Joel’s root chakra.)

The quality of connection in Joel’s two third eye chakra databanks differs as much as the size.

While preaching, Joel’s connection is squarely positioned amid old, frightened, restrictive, intolerant ways of connecting to God. He is forming a kind of energetic bridge between this kind of connection and the kind of connection that HE experiences personally and is teaching his followers to experience.

Now, over to my questions from Face Reading Joel a couple of days ago. And back to using the photo at the top of this article.

Yes, Joel has a gift for making things practical and teaching everyone, especially beginners.

STUFF galore is there, as well, related to how frustrating it can be for him, at times, dealing with some of the questions and comments that arise as part of his public role.

What bothers him isn’t so much the sincere questions from people who are struggling to let go of fear and other Fundamentalist programming.

No, it’s more a matter of keeping himself patient and focused while dealing with complaints of people who have more a political and financial interest in keeping the status quo within Christianity.

In his personal, mystical connection, Joel may have qualities of a dreamer. But having so much of his ego invested in making his career successful… this actually works to his advantage as a teacher, motivating him to forcefully present his material for the masses.

And that ego involvement helps Joel stick to his principles, even when opposition comes from others who are, theoretically, part of the same religion.

“Trusting His Message” Aura Reading Databank at the Heart Chakra

In Joel’s Face Reading, I asked, “Could some of that intellectual excitement and independence be a schtick? Does he believe that people can get results from what he proposes?”

Here’s the answer directly from Joel’s own aura. No, there’s no schtick going on here. And yes, Joel does believe in his message.

However, a related conflict could be responsible for what I noticed on Joel’s face physically that prompted my question.

Joel is an empath. He’s got Spiritual Empathy and Emotional Oneness and Intellectual Empathy — three different gifts, any one of which qualifies him as a natural empath.

And because of being a talented (but not yet skilled) empath, Joel is sometimes uncomfortably and intensely aware of how others react to him.

When your message is love and light, when you work as a spiritual teacher, you can’t go around whining when other folks despise you. Here’s a personal example, much less lofty, from my much smaller career.

Back in the day, I taught short classes in Aura Reading and Face Reading for FIRST CLASS Adult Education Center in Washington, D.C. Twice I won an award for perfect evaluations from students — not an easy thing to manage.

Altogether I did about six years of teaching, and perhaps 12 different workshop topics, for FIRST CLASS. How I loved teaching there! However, one time I felt really exhausted and terrible. All that day, I struggled to psych myself up and prepare to go down to D.C. to honor my commitment. Of course, I came in to teach tonight, but I still felth exhausted.

Well, I made the mistake of mentioning to the students — out of integrity is how I meant it — something like this: “I will give you the very best class I can, but I really don’t feel well. I apologize in advance.”

Well! What a fascinating experiment that turned out to be. Evaluations were just horrible. Many students complained to the teacher and, shortly after, I was fired.

For me, this was a great lesson in expectations for a spiritual teacher. We aren’t really allowed to be anything BUT joyful.

Personally, I have been very fortunate in my career, with little criticism, especially considering my pioneering role in Deeper Perception. Still, I have had to withstand a fair amount of criticism, like the post I recently enabled here at the blog, where someone explained that I wasn’t doing aura reading properly, how his intuitive reading showed I was greedy and insecure, the dire and horrid things he had to say about President Obama’s aura. And then my anonymous commenter oh-so-kindly explained what I should do to improve myself. 

Actually, this volunteer teacher sent more than one comment. I only enabled this one. I have also spared this blog other rather insulting, or downright vicious, posts. The recent one was included because it seemed rather interesting.

Being a teacher on the scale of Joel Osteen, and being a loving Fundamentalist innovator, Joel is such a brave guy! It’s hard for me to imagine the truly creepy things that must happen to him on a regular basis.

And it’s not as though he will be given much chance to talk about it, will he?

The question I asked at Joel’s Face Reading was, “Caring a whole lot more about being famous than others would guess?”

You bet he’s got that. It helps keep him going.

“Trusting Strangers” Aura Reading Databank at the Root Chakra

Here’s my last question from the Face Reading: “Suspicion of others? Extreme suspicion of others?”

Joel’s a very private person, a recovering shy person. And despite his welcoming presence, his charisma as a communicator and, even, his magnificent God-connection, Joel does have the strong need for some privacy.

Yes, he does carry STUFF around trusting strangers. And he especially has STUFF around trusting people to become close to him.

In no way, however, does that invalidate his message, or presence, as a very public Man of God.

Aura Reading and Face Reading Conclusion

People are complex, spiritual leaders included. Going deeply into detail about Rev.  Joel Osteen, I have found so many talents and so much to admire.

Yet pain, STUFF, human limitation — that’s part of him, too.

One reason I believe so passionately about reading auras in depth and detail, rather than doing simple color-by-number readings like “gold vs. black” is how the very process of reading can become informative.
