So, KARIN, do you have another reaction when you see with your Face Reader skills and appreciate that the pose is a component of posing used to minimize the man’s major asymmetries?

I do appreciate your reaction to the photo, as well. And, it seems to me, you’re not just reacting as a European, but as the world-savvy person you are.

This is somebody who projects the image of a preacher very strongly, as well as the image of being a very likeable person. Too me this is too much, or maybe more American. The way he is posing in the last photo with his hand holding his chin would make me have some doubts of the person trying too hard to project something fake.

Thank you for this reading! It really endeared me to Joel even further. He’s doing such important, brave work injecting some real God into today’s Christianity. Doesn’t sound like my idea of fun.

It’s interesting to read about his conflict between the intellectual ideas he has been taught about God and his true experience of God. You would think that a connection so huge it extends into deep space would override those negative religious ideas! But perhaps without all those constricting ideas, he wouldn’t genuinely want to be so involved in the Christian community, and he needs to be to do his important life’s work?
