    Spiritual Addiction

November 4th, 2009 by Rose Rosetree

Twice it has happened with clients so far, on this trip working with clients in Tokyo. “Maxi” comes for Aura Reading Research. And this is the gist of her story:

I want you to research my aura to find out whether I would be successful at being a spiritual healer. Last year, I had a hard time at my job and so I quit. Lately I have been taking a break. What I really want to do is full-time spiritual work.

And so away we went, doing “Thrill Your Soul” research on Maxi.

Turned out, she had the pattern that I now call “Spiritual Addiction.” As you may know, when doing Aura Reading Research of any kind, I make use of the discovery known as “Chakra Databanks.” Your aura is loaded with them, 50 in every major chakra and loads in each minor chakra as well. Chakra Databanks contain both GIFTS of the soul and also STUFF, which affects the size and quality and — as they might say in automobile ads — performance. Or, even, “your actual mileage.”

Another technical point is that, although I can read eight layers of anyone’s aura, of course I don’t read them all for this typical Aura Reading Research. Instead, for consistency, I read at the third layer of my client’s aura. Anyway, on to the Spiritual Addiction….

Can you tell what is wrong with this (aura) picture?

Here is what Maxi had going on at the third layer of her aura.

Aura Reading Databank: Third Eye Chakra, about spiritual connection: So huge, it literally went out for 50 miles (for the first client who came to me with this problem) and all the way into deep space (for the second client who came to me with this problem, over the last week)

Aura Reading Databank: Root Chakra, about paying attention to reality, regular human reality: Shut down, just two inches from her physical body. Shut down, mostly, due to lack of interest in this aspect of life.

Aura Reading Databank: Root Chakra, about credibility with other people: Shut down, just two inches from her physical body. Shut down, mostly, due to lack of interest in this aspect of life.

Aura Reading Databank: Root Chakra, about earning money: Shut down, just two inches from her physical body. Shut down, mostly, due to lack of interest in this aspect of life.

Aura Reading Databank: Belly Chakra, about sex drive: Shut down, just two inches from her physical body. Shut down, mostly, due to lack of interest in this aspect of life.

Aura Reading Databank: Solar Plexus Chakra, about intellectual growth: Shut down, just two inches from her physical body. Shut down, mostly, due to lack of interest in this aspect of life.

Aura Reading Databank: Heart Chakra, about emotional self-awareness: Shut down, just two inches from her physical body. Shut down, mostly, due to lack of interest in this aspect of life.

Aura Reading Databank: Heart Chakra, about making an emotional connection with other people: Shut down, just two inches from her physical body. Shut down, mostly, due to lack of interest in this aspect of life.

Aura Reading Databank: Throat Chakra, about communicating in close relationships: Shut down, just two inches from her physical body. Shut down, mostly, due to lack of interest in this aspect of life.

Hmmm, notice a pattern in Maxi’s aura?

Interest only in spirituality, not much else.

I’ve been there. I’ve come back from it and I have helped many clients to come back from it, too. In fact, I wrote a whole book that can help with this, Let Today Be a Holiday: 365 Ways to Co-Create with God.

Once Spiritual Addiction gets going, someone like Maxi loses interest in everything about life. Except, of course, for the spiritual organization or practice (technically known as a cult, in some cases).

What did Maxi want me to tell her?

“Congratulations. You’re going to be hugely successful and rich and influential doing that spiritual healing.”

But I couldn’t. Instead, I explained as kindly as I could, what Maxi needed, more than anything else: To take an interest in life again. Even if, at first, anything about human life felt ridiculously trivial.

You know, mere people. Silly old life on earth.

The best seminar you’ll ever take

Sure, I teach workshops. Even ones in Japan! And the only reason I teach them is that I believe in what’s being taught and believe it can help people. But I told Maxi, “Don’t take my workshops. Do gardening. Join a photo club. Try that special kind of drawing we researched that would be such a good fit for you.”

Because, during our session, Maxi was able to come up with some ideas for work and hobbies — out in the world — and as we researched their impact on her chakra databanks, some of these items for Aura Reading Research came up as winners.

Everyone has activities, types of work, hobbies, forms of exercise, even styles of cooking that Thrill Your Soul. And these are the ones to pursue. The impact on many (or all) of your chakra databanks is superb. While other choices sound good in theory. But really their appeal is based on matching the imbalance that already shows in your aura.

In general, living as a human being is so under-rated. More than any workshops or seminars you might take (mine included), nothing beats being human and living every day as though that mattered.

You signed up for this seminar, after all. And who knows how many fistfights were breaking out in heaven when you got your assignment, many souls competing for each of those precious evolutionary activities known as “having a human incarnation.”

Sure, while here we can get lonely and long for home. Sure, some meditation or prayer or reading of scripture is a good thing to do every day.

Some. Not the major part of each day — not unless you’re a monk or nun. Are you living in an ashram?

Otherwise, if you’re a householder, the kind of person who might enjoy sex or money or nice clothes or personal friendships or having a personal identity — get with the program. Life is here to enjoy. Your aura reveals if you’ve been doing that. And, deep inside your own feelings and thoughts and body, you can tell in many ways.

Don’t be discouraged if you’ve become stuck in a Spiritual Addiction. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is more powerful than your free will, you can use it here and now.

    Note to Blog-Buddies

Yes, yesterday was Election Day in America. I would have liked to blog on some of the winners, doing Face Reading and Aura Reading. But my laptop doesn’t have great virus protection. So this morning, when I started accessing photos, I received dire warnings. Such readings will have to wait until December, when I’m back in the U.S. and have access to my trusty home computer.

I will tell you, yes, I did vote by absentee ballot. Voting is so important!

    Hi Rose,

I loved this post! Thank you for writing it. It seems to me not too many spiritual teachers are out there telling people about how importance it is to live a balanced life!

Oh goodness, I am so much like Maxi and your post just reminded me of that again, Rose. I am so content and happy hanging out in my 3rd Eye Chakra that it’s sometimes hard to want to come down, plant my feet and BE HERE on earth. Yet, there are so many rewards and wonderful things in store for doing just that, if I just choose to see them.

Today, I CHOOSE to be in my body and experience that with all the wonderful experiences that come with it.

Thanks again for the nudge, Rose.

    THANKS, ladies.

Yes, I am enjoying this Trip #10 in Japan. It’s Friday night here. I was doing errands and laundry after my six session hours today.

Resolved to start carrying around my notebook to record, and then blog about, some of the hilarious things that are written here.

When Japanese speakers learn English, it’s a huge achievement. But there are funny translations that come up as a side effect. I’ll see if I can share the wealth of laughter.

Greetings to all you Blog-Buddies from the Land of the Rising Sun.

    Hi Rose,

Am I still allow to share a question here?
Please define “A Cord of Attachment between Spiritually Addicted male and female (not a couple) vs Soulmates”. I have recently learnt from other spiritual speaker (S.C.) that Soulmates and Life Partners are often different which totally make sense to me but a little confused with your teachings. Please help me understand them clearly.

Thanks, Rose! I love you and all,

MARILYN, questions are always allowed here. I have the choice to answer or not.

Usually I WILL answer any question of general interest and related to the specialties of Deeper Perception at this blog.

And aw, thanks for all the love!

Now, responding to your question, there’s good news, MARILYN. Cords of attachment between any two people, regardless of type of relationship, are the same type of energy structure.

It doesn’t matter if it is between you and someone you adore vs. someone you dislike, someone you’re married to vs. someone you live with, etc.

To learn practical details, read elsewhere at this blog. Even better, buy “CUT CORDS OF ATTACHMENT” and learn information with practical details that can empower you to cut cords of attachment permanently. (See the home page at http://www.rose-rosetree.com)

If the concept of soul mate is helpful for you, great. In my opinion, it is a pretty unuseful concept for many people. I have known maybe five people who had a connection with someone having the quality that might qualify as “soul mate.”

While I have had hundreds of conversations with people, sometimes in sessions and sometimes not, about soul mates.

My opinion, FWIW, is that “SOUL MATE” is mostly used as a marketing idea. It’s like “YOU HAVE ONE PURPOSE IN LIFE, AND YOU MUST FIND OUT WHAT IT IS” and “AURAS ARE COLORS THAT TALENTED PEOPLE SEE, AND THESE READINGS HAVE MYSTICAL TRUTHS” and “YOUR SPIRITUAL EVOLUTION DEPENDS ON CHATTING CONSTANTLY WITH ANGELS AND GUIDES.”

If any of these things is happening with you, and you like the results, great. Otherwise, if you can be persuaded that any of these is true, you will come back again and again to the psychics etc. who, supposedly, have superior knowledge. You will be a customer for life, always needing readings and reassurances.

    Let the buyer beware!

Thank you so much for your reply, Rose.

In addition to your HP and blog articles, I definitely need to deepen my understanding about relationship issues, so I just ordered“CUT CORDS OF ATTACHMENT”online.

As you are mentioning, there truly are too much information to make you fall into regarding SOUL MATES, TWIN FLAMES and so on.

I know I urgently need to cut a lot of entangled cords of attachment in my life.

Hoping to see you in person, Rose!

Hi Rose, I met you for the first time at the Holistic Fair a few months ago. I just read your description and I am living with this person – the Spiritual Addict.

He has no career of his own, does not care about sex very much although he’s very good at it, does not use what he knows to generate any money.

There is some very special connection between us but I am very unhappy with the way things go and the pattern he exhibits.

What to do? He always says get another person in the room (other than us) and they will say any problems are my fault, though he claims to not believe in “blame” as a concept. The other person never materializes because no one is good enough to be that person.

I had a third eye blockage due to serious head injury and nde when young which was cleared in 2001 but things are increasingly getting worse for me, not better. What to do?

    Thanks Rose

JERI, hi back. About what to do with the Spiritually Addicted person in your life, his addiction is his responsibility to clear up. Yours is to decide what role he plays in your life.

Now. Not how gosh darned special he seemed before but what it is like being with him right now.

Why would you stick around for this kind of treatment?

Besides assessing your lifestyle and making practical changes, you might want to consider doing some phone sessions with me.

The most important part of what you wrote is “things are increasingly getting worse for me.”

When there is so much drama and unhappiness in your life, I note that you apparently received your last help from a healer in 2001. And now it’s the end of 2009.
