Etheric Cords of Attachment

“Yoko,” a recent client, asked me to cut a cord of attachment to her bullying brother. Everything about this session was a delight for me except for one sentence. As I sat with her, preparing to remove the cord, Yoko blurted out:

“I already had a healer remove my emotional cord of attachment to her.”

Ouch, yet more nonsense spoken (and apparently paid for) in the name of cutting cords of attachment! Sure, a cord of attachment contains emotions and patterns of energy. But to call cords “emotional”? That’s like being in the midst of chewing Thanksgiving dinner when someone observes: “Your mouth — it’s so food-ish.”

Words like these coming from a three-year-old, who cares? But from someone who holds himself out in the world as a professional healer?

Too many healers give energy work a bad name. Today’s post is dedicated to trying to clear some of that up.

Calling a cord of attachment “etheric”

This is, of course, the more common confusion. As soon as  healer “Maxi” refers to an “etheric cord of attachment,” he has revealed how little he really knows about cords. He might be a great expert on other things! Maybe Maxi is wonderfully clairvoyant and the cords have an etheric appearance to him. Perhaps using the term “etheric” makes his ideas seem more impressive.

One thing is for sure. Maxi certainly doesn’t know much about cords of attachment or how to remove them.

What does “etheric” mean, anyway? 

The term “etheric” refers to one of the three worlds, known and named for at least 10,000 years by enlightened Vedic seekers.

“Etheric” means “Divine.” It’s the level of God. That means the impersonal aspect of God, with names like “God” and “Holy Spirit,” “The Universe,” “Great Spirit,” “The Eck,” “Almighty God.”

Also, God can have a body at the Divine level. It is perfected, what we might call “enlightened” being all wise, all loving, no internal problems mucking up the clarity of that being. Sure, there may be quirks and individual qualities. That makes it al the more enjoyable to collaborate with these Divine Beings, sometimes called “the personal aspect of God.” They carry names and forms like Jesus, Buddha, Kwan Yin, Aphrodite, St. Francis, Ganesha, Saraswati.

Other Divine-level beings are archangels. Note: Not angels, not guardian angels, not spirit guides, not dead ancestors, not Abraham nor Lazaris nor other spirits — all of whom are astral-level beings — which we’ll get to later.

Human beings can process Divine-level energy and information from archangels, such as Archangel Michael, Archangel Raphael, Archangel Gabriel. Most of us aren’t at a level where we can process info. from other Divine-level beings like Seraphs and Thrones.

Still, we have help galore available to us at the Divine Level.

Bodies at this level are etheric, i.e., made of akasha, a high-vibrational substance that is as distinctive to concentrated Divine energy as “human” is to us at the vibrational level of Earth.

The term “akasha” may be more familiar to you than you think at first. Have you ever heard of The Akashic Record? That is made of akasha, of course. Like everything and everyone at this level, The Akashic Record is pure perfection, not a single typo.

The astral level is different, right?

So far, we’ve considered two of the three worlds: Divine and human. I haven’t spent a lot of time defining “human” because you’re as much an expert on that as I am.

So let’s skip over to that third world, the world of psychic phenomena, the astral level. This vibrational level IS the one with angels, flower fairies, devas of household appliances, guardian angels, spirit guides, dead ancestors, ghosts, Abraham nor Lazaris and other entities who are contacted via trance channeling.

Some have higher vibes, some have lower. Some will be dearer to you than others. (Personally, I’m in love with my guardian angel, two main guides, and a couple of other celestial beings who help me on a regular basis.)

But let’s get one thing straight. Nobody at this level is a perfected being or they wouldn’t be living at the astral level. Very few perfected, enlightened beings are at the human level, either, actually. But it is possible. And one reason to incarnate here is to evolve enough to become enlightened.

STUFF happens at the astral level, as well as the human level 

In fact, when STUFF is stuck in your aura, expect it to be at the astral level. This level also corresponds to your subconscious mind.

By contrast, the etheric level is pure perfection, no STUFF at all.

Of course, the spiritual tie between two people is etheric. And cords of attachment can’t be. They exist at the astral level and are healed from that level. That simple.

So the next time someone talks to you about emotional cords or etheric cords, don’t be impressed. The last time I checked Google, the term “CORDS OF ATTACHMENT” got over 3,000,000 hits.
