Don’t Blame the Vampire

Psychic vampires, energy vampires — how scary are they? Only as scary as you let them be.
The topic came up during one of my workshops here in Japan. And as I sip my morning coffee (okay, gulp it), preparing to teach my very last day of workshops here, what do I think of as a highlight from eight days of workshop during this stay?
Among so many great memories as a teacher, working with some of the most conscientious, smart, and evolved students in all the world… I think particularly of our gleeful discussion on the topic of energy vampires, a.k.a. psychic vampires. This came during the workshop for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection.
Here are some of the ways that my students had been protecting themselves from ghosts, psychic vampires, and other forms of astral-level energy drain:
- Going to a waterfall and standing beneath it for purification. (Apparently this is a figure of speech in Western Japan. As in, “What, you’re complaining? Go stand under a waterfall.” Besides that, one can join certain groups of monks and enage in physical waterfall standing. However, this form of healing might not work terribly well in places like my home town, New York City.)
- Taking a bath with saki (rice wine).
- Burning so much incense, the whole house filled up with smoke. At which point, my student’s mother came in and yelled, “Stop.” While my student merely thought, “Oh no, I still haven’t burned enough incense.” That was because she still felt so uncomfortable energetically.
STUFF is real
Feeling discomfort because of energy “somethings” isn’t necessarily New Age hypochondria. Astral-level debris can become a legitimate source of discomfort, which is why I teach a workshop called “Spiritual Cleansing and Protection.”
During a version of that workshop here, my Japanese students here learned how to permanently remove ghosts, negative thought forms, psychic coercion and psychic ties.
Energies like these are all healable.
Cords of attachment are real
Here’s another reason for feeling uncomfortable due to outside influences: Cords of attachment. By definition, a cord of attachment connects you to another person you have known, now either living or dead. Toxic energies flow through each cord of attachment, re-imprinting your aura and subconscious mind 24/7.
Of course, it is important to use a quality method to remove cords of attachment. That’s why I wrote a how-to book, the first in the English language, on this topic: Cut Cords of Attachment.
Some people like to use the book to become skilled enough to cut cords for themselves. Others use it more like a consumer guide, helping them to distinguish a practitioner with legitimate skills from someone who merely talks about cutting cords of attachment but can’t (yet) facilitate permanent healing.
Both cords of attachment and astral-level debris are real things that dump STUFF, stuck energy, into a person’s aura and subconscious mind. Either or both can create feelings of discomfort, even being affected by external forces.
Although this can be confused with energy vampires or psychic vampires, the practical difference is that the offending STUFF is within you. And it can be healed.
The Freudian version of energy vampires
Really, fearing energy vampires is no stranger than ideas that have come down through Western civilization courtesy of the great Sigmund Freud. Therapy can lead us to think in terms of problems acquired during the formative years. These traumas, buried deep in the subconscious mind, are said to shape complexes and other psychological problems.
How many of us have tried to understand and “work through” those problems, as if they were an indelible part of us? Yet, living today, we know that cords of attachment hold those energies. And, although the toxic energies recirculate into the aura 24/7, it won’t necessarily help to replay the cord items or analyze them consciously.
The whole cord can be moved out in one large, informative procedure known as “cutting a cord of attachment,” something that takes this practitioner (Rose Rosetree) about one hour per cord. The healing session results in plenty of personal validation as well as permanent healing.
Many a seeker of mental health doesn’t know this is possible, however, and has to settle for being afraid. Instead of cataloging different types of energy vampires, there will be detailed analysis of the fights, the inappropriate sexual innuendos, different awful occasions when a parent got drunk, etc.
Different names, maybe similar fears
Blaming is so attractive, you know?
Okay, that’s a joke. Blaming certainly doesn’t add to the attractiveness of the blamer. But the process of blaming can be so gosh darned convenient.
A practical problem with finding, and blaming, energy vampires, is this: Once we get started, we will find them just about anywhere. After running away from one energy vampire, we’re likely to find another one right around the next corner.
Hold on! It’s simple common sense that certain people are annoying. If you’re smart, you’ll have as little to do with them as possible.
Doing this, however, you don’t have to imagine them as Lex Luthors or Iagos or energy vampires. “Somebody I don’t especially like” is plenty good enough as a name. It’s sufficient reason to avoid anyone you choose.
Beyond that, blaming any outside person for your worst problems because that person is secretly an “energy vampire”? Why?
Let’s make an analogy to being poor, having just a few dollars in your wallet. Any expense can be blamed.
- That daily newspaper, so costly.
- What, an extra 3 cents to pay for that coffee? How sneaky, to increase the price like that.
- If your favorite grocery store starts charging a nickel for plastic bags, maybe you had better stop going. The nerve!
Yet is the problem really that this person charges too much money (or energy)? Wouldn’t it help if you just had more money?
Poor unskilled empaths
Unskilled empaths, in particular, are often drawn to the concept of “energy vampires, psychic vampires.” Until they use their skills, they are constantly taking on STUFF from others. Of course, draining people will deposit more STUFF than others.
Still, you can become energetically rich – i.e., skilled as an empath – rather than blaming. Or fearing. Or naming different types of energy vampire.
Sure, the economy is a very real problem, but energetically everyone can become rich. Every day, shiny new divine energy pours through your crown chakra. Breath connects you to God. Delicious grounding energies pull in through your feet, courtesy of Mother Earth. Sexual energies pull you toward people, creating powerful life-enhancing energy exchanges,
And how much use will you make of all those energy riches? Will you allow them to drain away because your mind-body-system is clogged with STUFF?
If you were born as an empath, will you allow lack of skill to turn your precious talent into a constant energy drain?
The choice is up to you. Not somebody in vampire makeup.
