Cutting cords of attachment
Blog-Buddy NICK asked a very good question about cord-cutting, Comment 341 at our most popular post so far about cords of attachment: Why do we get cords of attachment, anyway?
AMY O, another Blog-Buddy, followed up with a rather succinct answer: “Learning!” She’s right, of course. Down to the exclamation point.
But the question is good enough to deserve a longer answer… and even, perhaps, more exclamation points. Here are some of my thoughts, having done thousands of sessions where I facilitated cutting cords of attachment. Just yesterday I googled and found:
- “Cut Cord of Attachment” had 8,700,000 hits.
- “Cut cords” had 17,500,000 hits.
That’s sure a big deal compared to when I would google right before publishing my how-to book “Cut Cords of Attachment.” Back then, “Cut Cord of Attachment” brought forth three screens of hits. Period. (And not even a single exclamation point.)
By now, just about anyone in New Age, any energy healer in mind-body-spirit has figured it out: Cutting cords of attachment can make life a whole lot better. But, before NICK, I didn’t personally think about that “Why, why, why in the first place”-type question. Here are some thoughts. Read More »

Blog-Buddies, let’s start off with the slightly embarrassing part, an announcement of small techno-goofs. (For contest winners, move down to the boldest headline below.)
Some of you have signed up for this blog as a SUBSCRIBER or CONTRIBUTOR. Well, last night I was cleaing things up, because thousands of contributors have mistakenly gotten onto the blog. Nobody is supposed to be a contributor except the blog administrator, me. You’all are invited to Guest Post whenever you like.
To Guest Post, send a long detailed comment on the topic of your choice. Or email me a long bit of writing on the topic of your choice. Send it to rose [at...] rose-rosetree.com. I’ll format it as your contribution if I find it appropriate. I love receiving that kind of contribution.
However nobody is invited to sign up as a contributor. This means you read drafts of future posts, plus every weird or nasty comment that people send in, even though as “Administrator” I disallow them from appearing on the official blog called “Deeper Perception Made Practical.”
Julian, my tech support guy for this blog, has been asked to remove the techno-ability for anyone to sign on as a contributor. Somehow this function was always switched on. Which is, apparently, very thrilling to potential spammers. Read More »

Merriam–Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary doesn’t define cults well. (See Carol’s excellent Comment 10 in our Cult Recognition Quiz. Just in case you ever wanted to read a dictionary definition for “cult.”)
Of course, the dictionary business is different from doing deprogramming or helping people exit from cults.
Similarly, it isn’t accurate (IMHO) to define a cult as “any group with an us-them mentality.” That could be a way to define “obnoxious,” not necessarily “cult.”
Which goes to show how otherwise savvy, smart people can miss the point(s) about what a cult really is. Why is this knowledge so important? Read More »

Blog-Buddies, sometimes a comment sent to this blog is so superb and detailed, it really deserves to become a post of its own. Originally Sarah’s words (and the first comment) below were submitted in response to my post from today about “Why I don’t believe in Dark Souls.”
Maybe you’ll agree with Sarah. Maybe you’ll want to buy her new book, to learn more about the thoughtful and detailed approach that she brings to this topic. Here is some of her perspective about narcissists, being an empath, and more, with a bit of formatting and headings added.
Rose, as you know I have has a fit bit of flack about the book, some of it negative and much of it positive.
When I was reading this post it wasn’t until I got the the very last bit at the bottom that I could think of a real way of answering. Read More »

There’s good news and bad news.
You Blog-Buddies are developing energetic literacy.
- You’re becoming aware of the promise of Energy Spirituality, removing STUFF.
- You’re learning about cords of attachment and frozen blocks of energy removed through Energy Release Regression Therapy (an unusual form of Past-Life Regression that directly targets STUFF).
- You’re now aware of various other forms of astral debris, including the skill set I call “Spiritual Cleansing and Protection” for removing psychic coercion, astral entities stuck onto an aura, etc.
- All this is the practical side of interest in New Age and interest in the paranormal — finding ways to heal problems, not merely observe them or speculate or seek the greatest possible psychic-level flash.
Yes, this is very good news. The bad news is that you don’t necessarily own all this knowledge yet.
It’s as if a new type of college major became available and you are college bound. And you want to be a graduate, already. Frustrating!
What are you supposed to do in the meantime? Read More »

“I know that you are very busy and that you must receive a lot of emails. If/when you get a chance, please let me know what you think of this article re: energetic cords.
”Is energetic vampiring with cords possible? Is it cause for concern? How do you (really) know if a anyone is ethical?”

“The meek shall inherit the earth.” Surely you’ve heard these words since you were young.
Who are the meek, exactly?
The poor? Not necessarily. For starters, “the meek” can be the humble-hearted, as in, “I may know better than others sometimes but gawrsh, I’d better hide that and not make waves.”
Meekness can be felt or expressed in very different ways — just like arrogance, actually.
In case there’s any doubt in your mind about yourself, and whether such a smart, nice, talented person as you might possibly count as meek, hello! Let me break it to you. At Earth School, nobody wears proper signs. At Earth School, anyone with even one of the following attributes does count as meek:
- Highly sensitive persons (HSPs)
- Empaths
- Smart people who go in hiding much of the time to avoid seeming “arrogant”
- People who use a small “i” when they write, in order to stand out as exceptionally smart or cool or ironic
- Loving people who are not using their power
- Inspired, spiritually questing people who are not using their power
- People whose childhoods involved abuse or marriages
- People meekly hiding out while smoking pot (a.k.a. marijuana, weed)
- People who use that popular depressant, alcohol, to stay meekly hidden.
- People who can’t lose weight, because the weight is used as a form of social humility (“I won’t look better than others, don’t worry.
- People with failed marriages, disappointing children, people who have been humbled by life one way or another
- People who refuse to blame others as much as they blame themselves
- People who don’t get much respect and, unlike Rodney Dangerfield, aren’t not paid for the privilege
- People who don’t earn as much money as they deserve
- The older your soul age, the more likely you are to have a humble heart and act meek.
The list goes on. Any attribute like these would earn a person “meek” status. So if you have suffered due to being meek and humble, now you can admit it. Officially, yes, you are meek.
Let’s consider that “who” question settled and go on to ask the one that not only matters more but is very, very timely. How, exactly, can the meek inherit the earth? Read More »

When I lived in Florida, the sirens nearly drove me crazy. Ambulances were part of it. During my year in Miami, I needed no census to tell me that many of my neighbors were elderly people. Random moments, day or night, the ambulance sirens would wail.
Equally tormenting for me then, day or night, were the miniaturized siren wails known as mosquitoes. Thinking back on that year, 1971-1972, there’s not much distinction in my memory between the fact that my first marriage ended and the never-ending threat of the sirens, one type or another. Torture for an auditory person!
Fast forward to now and I’m tempted to draw a parallel between terrorism and stalkers. Only now I’m not on the victim side but the helper side.

What an important question! “What if I cut a cord of attachment wrong?” was recently posed by Blog-Buddy Jennifer. Have you put off learning how to cut cords of attachment for yourself, fearing that you might make an awful mistake?
Quick, what’s your first reaction to Jennifer’s question?
To some casual readers, it might seem ridiculous. As you’ll find all over the Net, “Cutting cords of attachment is easy. It’s impossible to have a problem. Read More »

“I always thought she was haunting me,” Joe said during his session. But that statement came later. Like his telling me, “No, there was no physical violence in the relationship with my grandmother. Unless you count the time she threw a boiling pot of pea soup.
“I ducked, so the saucepan never hit me. Made quite a dent in the wall, though.”
Joe’s intention was simply to become excited about life again, maybe even to like himself more. Read More »
