I applaud anyone who has gone to Narcotics Anonymous even once. This 12-Step Program is a lifeline for so many courageous people in recovery who seek to break free from substance addiction.
One of my cherished long-term clients is GLADYS. She has a history that involves substances. One session at a time, we are moving out STUFF and putting in new understandings, choices, and social skills in alignment with her soul, her strongest individual qualities of Who You Be. (This 50% of move out STUFF and 50% of put-in is, of course, a working definition of Energy Spirituality.)
Today GLADYS mentioned in passing an important concept in Narcotics Anonymous (NA): Self-Centered Fear. And today’s post is a response to this concept, which can be very helpful at a certain stage in recovery but later, well, how often is a human idea useful at every level of consciousness?
Self-Centered Fear
Life grows over-subjective if you smoke marijuana or center your life around cocaine or heroin. The concept of Self-Centered Fear includes false, or irrelevant, concerns that keep the former addict from engaging fully in life.
Speech and action in objective reality always come with risk. As I understand it, Self-Centered Fear is a form of “stinking thinking” that is especially common among people who would seek out Narcotics Anonymous.
At one time, the Self-Centered Fear label really helped GLADYS. She used the concept to identify behavior patterns that were related to her former dependency upon substances. Painful though these patterns were to acknowledge, she needed the clarity as she sought to rebuild her life.
“Get over yourself” is good advice at a certain stage of development. It’s along the lines of Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway. Move from subjective reality into objective reality. Use speech and action, rather than dwelling on fear. However…. Read More »

Advance copies of "Use Your Power of Command for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection"
“Use Your Power of Command for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection” goes on sale today with advance copies. However, the official Publication Date won’t be until January 2, 2012.
Which means what, exactly?
Exclusively available now, through this blog — and, soon, the Rose Rosetree website – this new book will be available. (I’ll let you know when the website lists “Use Your Power of Command.” Then you can read a chapter for free, view FAQs, the usual.) Today, the first copies are available through our order line: 800-345-6665.
- That number is available for tollfree calls in the U.S. and Canada.
- Calling from elsewhere, you’ll receive the same reasonable rates for shipping. And unlike Amazon orders, if there ever is a problem with delivery, just call back and get a real-live person who will make things right.
- Of course, you can order any Rose Rosetree books from that same number.
In today’s post I will share some consumer-type advice for any of you who are wondering which books to get, in which order, for whom. Including during this gift-giving season.
Of course, your self-authority will matter most. However, I realize there are several specialties — e.g., related to the four trademarks, each a distinct development within New Age or deeper perception or personal growth.
Some people go into overwhelm at all those choices. I understand. It’s the flip side of what I go through as a writer. Some days, Blog-Buddies, I feel as though pregnant with quintuplets. About 14 months pregnant.

Use Your Power of Command

The first Rose Rosetree book discussing spiritual addiction
FAQs about spiritual addiction? It’s about time, right. For the last couple of years, I’ve been educating people about spiritual addiction.
- In my last book, “Magnetize Money with Energetic Literacy.” I wrote about this for the first time. Included is a chapter distinguishing spiritual addiction from Enlightenment.
- In my upcoming how-to, “Use Your Power of Command for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection,” I take the understanding further. That requires clarifying a common cause of spiritual addiction, The Romance of the Astral.
- In sessions of Aura Healing with Energy Spirituality, the topic has sometimes come up.
For one reason or another, so many of you Blog-Buddies have been seeking to know more.
Well, let’s get practical. Here are my responses to common questions. If you have additional questions, ask them below.
Q. What is spiritual addiction?
A. Spiritual addiction is an aura-level problem that produces real-life consequences. Everyone has hundreds of circuits within the aura called chakra databanks. Many of them are about human life, helping you to be effective as a person, balanced and happy. Others are about being a world server, assisting other people in the world, connecting to Read More »

Mr. Enlightenment, does he look detached to you?
ANGELA’s first comment at this blog raised concerns of interest to all of us who seek spiritual Enlightenment. Her recent Comment 12 included this:
I’ve been actively pursuing “Enlightenment” for the past four years, and I must say you are absolutely correct about disassociating. This journey has taken me for a ride, making me so inwardly focused and out of touch with reality that I’ve been unable to see truth around me (and been duped by those who could see my detachment).
Although I’ve gained many wonderful insights, I ultimately feel that I took the worst route and wasted a lot of time, as I’ve been unable to engage the real world. I’m working daily to merge these two halves I’ve created, and am wondering if any of your past articles or a specific book addresses how to heal this ailment?
On your path to Enlightenment, no repining
ANGELA hasn’t wasted a minute, not a minute, in my opinion. Nor have you, Blog-Buddies, if your experiences in this lifetime have included any of the more common detours.
Grief is natural when moving forward from a spent path. But never criticize yourself or your prior choices, please. Read More »

First, aura bounce. After, cutting astral ties.
Recently we’ve been discussing the uses of energetic literacy in everyday life. Self-disclosure, especially in public isn’t my comfort zone. (Face Readers, read my lips.)
However, having gone into some detail about what this teacher actually does in her life, I feel duty bound to fill in a gap.
After all, I’ve summarized how I use face reading and aura reading in everyday life. You already know that as a skilled empath, I keep all my empath gifts turned OFF most of the time. Exceptions are the brief times during a day when I will do a technique for Skilled Empath Merge.
You can guess (correctly) that all the skills I use with clients are also used on myself, with the exception of moving out frozen blocks of energy through past-life regression therapy. For this (like anyone else) I need to become the client of another regression therapist skilled in this healing art. I have definitely done this on occasion.
Self-hypnosis is something I do every day of my life, since I believe in this part of my work. But the regression therapy part is like a meal that you cannot make at home.
On my own, as needed, I will cut a cord of attachment; do Thrill Your Soul aura reading research; pull out energetic holograms of people I have met and research their auras in detail; or facilitate a technique for which I haven’t found a proper name yet — using aura reading research to revisit sticky situations, understand what made the other person tick, and re-evaluate what I did with speech and actions, seeking improvement.
But can any of you Blog-Buddies guess which skill set I use most often? As in every day of my life. Many times. Many ways. Read More »

Trust Jon Ronson to get me all inspired about psychopaths. He’s the author of The Psychopath Test: A Journey Through the Madness Industry. Jon finds them everywhere in society but especially in prisons, corporate boardrooms, and in politics.
At least I surmise this last part from seeing Ronson interviewed by Jon Stewart.
Okay, I’ll admit it. I couldn’t read most of the book. It was way too depressing to read for pleasure. In my line of work, I meet so many psychopaths for real.
Why would an empath coach meet so many psychopaths?
No, they are not my clients. But often I cut cords of attachment for empaths and other clients. During these sessions of Aura Healing and Transformation, I learn about psychopaths from their cord items, those bits and bytes of information within a cord of attachment that must be validated for the healing to be permanent.
Sometimes a client will also request that I pull out an energetic hologram from a particular incident and research chakra databanks of a cordee or parent or sadistic boss or the ex-lover who turned out to be quite a player. Everyday aura reading research to me! Though not always pleasant.
Oh, the psychopaths I have known. Including the ones I have described in all their gory, their very individual quirks of ickiness. In a very different way, Jon Ronson interviewed loads of experts for “The Psychopath Test.” He also includes, on pages 97-98, the “famous 20-point Hare PCL-R Checklist” for finding psychopaths.
In a way, I found this set of questions quite primitive. It’s so much easier, and more nuanced, to use energetic literacy on a person. My how-to, Read People Deeper, could have been subtitled: Psychopath Test + Lover Test + Highly Sensitive Person Test.
Especially since you can research anyone’s aura from a regular photo, it seems tedious to interview a crazy person for hours, striving to interpret how the answers match up with a 20-point index. Any skilled empath can do a Skilled Empath Merge, too — not that I would recommend doing such a thing with a possible psychopath.
One example of using energetic literacy is an interview I did for the “Las Vegas Sun.” Reporter Sue Snyder supplied photos of many local luminaries, none of whom I knew. Some were such obvious psychopaths (to use Ronson’s term) that I couldn’t restrain myself from pointing out to her their very fascinating versions of being pathological liars, etc. Turned out, these men had been indicted for various crimes. Barbara Barry, delightful candidate for Skilled Empath Merge
How could I pass up the opportunity to read the interior of this interior designer? GRACE W. did such a beautiful job when she requested this research with energetic literacy.
Having won a prize in our most recent contest about true tales of cutting cords of attachment, Blog-Buddy GRACE didn’t only supply photo links but explained her choice in the italicized words that follow. (Some of the super pictures that GRACE supplied are sprinkled in, showing samples of Barbara Barry’s design work.)
Energetic literacy to speed our path toward Enlightenment
One aspect I’ve enjoyed about our Enlightenment Life List people is not only the new understanding of Enlightenment that I’ve developed, but seeing that there are Enlightened folks in the arts, business, philanthropy and even the soon-to-be-revealed politician.
I particularly enjoy seeing how these people go about sharing their talents in the world and seeing the spiritual connection that they have and that they don’t, to my knowledge, speak about directly in public.
I’ve realized that one reason of many that I was so delighted by the documentary I mentioned about Bill Cunningham in the Enlightenment thread is that he has carved out such a fascinating, joyful, productive, and creative life while maintaining a sense of integrity. In places where that can be particularly challenging (as he states in the film) – in New York, and I’d add, in the world of fashion.
I was inspired to “meet” someone who keeps the focus on his passion for seeking beauty, for celebrating it and for not being swept up in all the meanness and nonsense that are part of that world. Read More »

Life is either bliss or lessons, sweet key lime pie or puckery lemons. At the time, we may not even consciously know what those lessons are.
That’s when we really feel clobbered. One of the deepest expressions of pain at such times is the question, “How could God let this happen to me?”
An example is the problem described by MYRNA at Comment 280 in our Q&A thread about cords of attachment:
“I have had a very strong affinity for a man. Felt that hankering, borderline-obsession with thinking he is ‘The One.’”
So many of us have been there, just like MYRNA. The craving feels wrong, seems weird, isn’t what we would consciously choose to “work on.” Yet we can’t stop it. Gotta keep thinking about “Lover Boy”…. gaaaaack!
The whole situation can seem so unfair, even like a punishment. What can we do? Read More »

Advanced practitioners learning more about cutting cords of attachment
What if you’re looking online for a healing practitioner? Say that you find someone who says “I studied with Rose Rosetree” or “I use Rose Rosetree’s trademarked method, 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment(R).”
What does that mean exactly?
Take it from me. It doesn’t mean that the person has done depth study with me. That person is not a graduate of my Mentoring Program in Energy Spirituality, not if you’re reading anything on the Internet as of today’s date or earlier. That would be June 14, 2011.
Now I’m delighted when people use my method for cutting cords of attachment. I’m grateful for the integrity when this is attributed – when my book is mentioned, for instance. It’s only fair, really, to acknowledge the source of your work.
And a healer gets extra points with me by referring people who are curious to the Official Rose Rosetree Website, rather than Amazon.com (Where the integrity factor is so low, they even sell alleged ”New” copies of books like mine, discounted sales that bring zero money to the publisher or author. )
Here are some words of clarification for you as a consumer. Read More »

Apology Needed?
Above all, the purpose of this blog is education. Deeper Perception techniques, energetic literacy of all kinds, support self-authority for each of us. Quite recently this self-authority has been tested around issues of what constitutes an apology.
When is it appropriate to apologize?
How gracious does one need to be?
Who is responsible when somebody feels insulted or names you as the big, monstrous ”insulter”?
On a completely unrelated thread, some strong opinions came up. This is such an interesting topic that today I’m adding a bit of post preface, then transferring this Apology Thread over here so we can all pursue it vigorously.
Of course, we can include perspective that comes from Energy Spirituality, which means healing STUFF at the level of auras, using techniques like 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment(R), Empath Empowerment(R), and the skill set of Spiritual Cleansing and Protection.
The tricky terrain of victimhood and apologies
Terry Cole-Whittaker deserves to be famous for her book What You Think of Me Is None of My Business. From a spiritual perspective, each of us carries responsibility for setting priorities in our relationships.
Rather than blaming others, we can remember: Nobody can humiliate you without your permission. Read More »
