How Can I Help You Become a Skilled Empath?

I’m honored to have written the first book to help empaths develop skill. More books for empaths have been published with each passing year, but they still don’t teach this method.

Instead, you’ll find two different approaches.

First, there’s emphasis on shielding and protecting yourself.

If you’ve been looking at books that attempt to solve the problem of picking up pain by shielding yourself, guess what? No aura reader would seriously advocate this as a way to develop skill for an empath.

Why? Shields and walls don’t keep out other people’s pain, so much as they lock the pain inside. The resulting numbness may be confused with “feeling safe,” but that’s hardly the same thing. Read More »

Empath Empowerment Skills Can Now Be Learned from an E-Book

“Empaths of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your pains.”

Okay, that’s a semi-serious parody of “Workers of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains.” If you were born as an empath, you need humor. You need skill, besides. Otherwise, every day of your life, pain is likely.

Why? When you have the circuits of an empath, but are not yet a SKILLED empath, you will take on pain from other people. It will land right into your aura.

Maybe it helps that I’m an aura reader, giving me the ability to observe this directly. But you don’t have to read auras (yet) to know that something unsettling is going on, not if you’re unskilled as an empath.

Even if you don’t know exactly what that something is, you will often feel anxious, troubled, depressed, tired, easily hurt or way too vulnerable… as though your skin doesn’t quite work right.

Empath Empowerment Quiz

1. Are you picking up fear or pain from other people? (Anyone born as an empath, “merely” talented, tends to do this continually. Hence the term “unskilled empath”!)
2. When other people in your life are picking up fear and pain, would you like to help them without taking on their problems? (Until you have skill as an empath, even small help to others can come at a large personal price.)
3. Do you find crowds draining, or even specific individuals? (No, life doesn’t have to be that way for you, not when you’re a skilled empath.) To be blunt, maybe the problem isn’t that the person isn’t a true energy vampire or narcissist. Maybe you have been enabling that person to become more of a taker than usual, just because as an unskilled empath you didn’t know better.
4. Do you sometimes tend to act the way other people expect you to do? (You’re not a chameleon probably, just an unskilled empath. Here’s the quick test. If you sit in very cold places or warm places, does your body temperature change drastically, like that of a true reptile?)
5. Do you secretly worry about being co-dependent, just because you react so strongly to people? (In my professional opinion, 95% of people who worry about being co-dependent really aren’t. Like them, could you really be just an unskilled empath?)
6. Have you read Empowered by Empathy, had great results, and want to keep up the momentum of learning? (It can be bliss for you, being a skilled empath. That’s your destiny, if you don’t give up on getting skill.)
7. Have read some of Empowered by Empathy but not received all the results yet? (Not every empath feels confident, trying out techniques from a book.)
8. Do you have an alcoholic, narcissist, or psychic vampire in your life, and it’s an uphill struggle protecting yourself? (No, “empath” is not really another word for “victim.” At least, it doesn’t have to be.)
