How will your face change in this new year, this new decade? Be prepared for the best by using The Power of Face Reading. By Rose Rosetree, developer of Face Reading Secrets(R) and author of "The Power of Face Reading."

A recent session reminded me how important Face Reading is when you’re going through a growth spurt of evolution. And evolution is exactly what all of us are going through in this new decade, evolution at a faster frequency than in decades and centuries past.

Gladys was worried about her new wrinkles. We were sitting in session, doing a Soul’s Journey Reading. Mostly we compared her face and aura on The Big Wedding Day vs. now, some 30 years later.

And, of course, we were using my system of Face Reading Secrets(R), which you can learn most easily from my how-to book The Power of Face Reading.

Face Reading Discovery #1: Symmetry can increase over time

Gladys went from extreme asymmetry to symmetry. Often we hear that faces ”always” grow more asymmetrical ”with age.” Comparing the left side to the right one, supposedly, the face becomes weirder and weirder, older and more pathetic, worse in every possible way.

Actually, that doesn’t necessarily happen. Skilled face readers don’t just assume. We look. We check out the physical face data, and then interpret it with a system like Face Reading Secrets.

The left side of your face, or anyone’s, is about what you are like in your personal life.

The right side carries information about what you’re like at work, or with strangers.

The degree of symmetry, in itself, isn’t good or bad. Reading Gladys’ face, it turned out to be a good thing that her face changed in the direction of more symmetry.

And don’t blame Gladys for being vain. It isn’t unusual at all that a perfectly normal person would obsess over wrinkles. Without Face Reading, she or he would miss the really excellent news about how a face changes.

Face Reading Discovery #2: Jaw changes

When young and perky, Glady’s jaw was very narrow on the left side. The challenge with that was that she found confrontations with other people hard.

On the right side, her jaw was moderately wide. Meaning? Outside family life, Gladys was more resourceful when handling conflict.

When 50 years old, and still perky, Gladys’ jaw width matched up. The narrower jaw had grown wider, reaching the same size as the one on her right.

She could relate to the meaning: More resourceful and, frankly, less of a wimp at handling conflicts in her personal relationships.

Face Reading Discovery #3: No roaming charges on this nose

Unlike a cell phone, faces don’t have roaming charges. Which turned out to be good for Gladys and the natural migration of her nose.

Earlier, her nose was strongly angled over to the left side of her face. Did she feel pressured, back in the day to do the kind of work her parents wanted? Exactly. That’s why she became a lawyer, like them, even though really she cringed at the work.

Now Gladys’s nose has grown straighter left-to-right. Firmly in place, at the center of her face, she’s still a lawyer, but has made peace with the work. She does it for her sake now, not to please anyone else in her family.

Did Gladys find that meaningful physical change meshed with her growth as a person? Definitely.

Face Reading Discovery #4: Eyes that bounced

Eye angles can change as the result of emotional trauma. In Gladys’s youth, both eyes were angled slightly upwards.

A photo of her right after the divorce showed her eyes angling downward. Gladys was gaining compassion, the byproduct of enduring great suffering.

Years after that divorce, Gladys’ eye angles have bounced back up. At least if you can call it a “bounce” when the outer corners of an eye move upward by a distance of less than one inch.

The meaning? Gladys gets to keep that hard-won compassion. But she is also happier now, even spontaneously optimistic about her life.

And, yes, she could relate.

Face Reading Discovery #5: About those dreaded wrinkles

Forehead wrinkles scare people, some people anyway. Gladys was worried about three new lines, each one perpendicular to her eyebrows, reaching up to her third eye.

Maybe the rumors have reached you: All forehead lines are “worry lines.” At least that’s what the cosmetic surgeons say. As in, “Poor dear, you’re just so beautifully and generously concerned about other people, and that is why your forehead has developed those hideous lines.”

Ha! Each line means something, as does every single face change. (See Wrinkles Are God’s Makeup: How You Can Find Meaning in Your Evolving Face .)

And these particular lines simply meant that Gladys had worked super-hard spiritually. She had pushed herself, wheedled herself, whispered to herself, “Be kind. Find the best way to make your present situation work. Use your spiritual resources to find strength from within yourself.”

I call lines like these “The Mark of Devotion.” Gladys had come by them honestly. And was she ever relieved to hear about their significance.

In our next blog post, we’ll continue with Face Reading perspective that you can bring into the New Year. Meanwhile, any questions or comments? Don’t just face read your mouth. Use it, and your typing fingers, to communicate.

Foreign language editions, a 10% discount off sessions, an early bird workshop and more await you at Booth $49 at the Pathways Natural Living Expo, "Rose Rosetree's Books and Readings," Sunday, October 4 in Maryland.

If you’re local, you know all about the Pathways Natural Living Expo. For 32 years, it has been an annual tradition.

I’ll be giving a workshop, included in Expo admission, first thing that morning, 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 4. That’s exactly one month away, right?

READINGS, READINGS, READINGS TO LIVE LIFE DEEPER will be the topic. Besides giving an overview about Aura Reading, Empath Merge, and Face Reading… there will of course be Q&A.

But I’ve noticed doing Expo workshops year after year, what participants seem to enjoy most are the actual free aura readings, free face readings, and free empath merges.

Hey, VISIT THE BOOTHS, TOO

The Pathways Expo always has excellent booths, 110 altogether. Here’s a complete listing, including my little booth #49. It just warms my heart silly to see some of my former students having booths this year, plus dear old friends whom I usually see just at this annual event.

Some really talented practitioners grace this all-day event, and I’ve seen miracles of healing happen during that day. I consider it a sacred festivity and am so glad to be a part of it.

When you think about powerful lightworkers, Sedona might come to mind. But think again about those of us who attempt to bring love and light and personal power to the Washington, D.C. area. The nation’s capital has more than its share of courageous, inventive healers, twinking away.

Zooming into the Expo, and then Booth #49, Rose Rosetree’s Books and Readings… I’ll be giving short Aura Readings and Face Readings, not free, but at a nominal fee.

And the good part is, you don’t have to wait to have me call on you as a volunteer during the workshop. There can be 100+ in that lecture room, even first thing in the morning, and I can’t humanly call on everyone, you know.

Having your own reading, by appointment, however, will be a sure thing. It will be your own private mini-session with me. Confidential, thank you very much.

I do recommend that you come by early rather than later, because sometimes we must turn people away for appointments, unfortunately. They get all filled up. The appointments.

Probably also the people. It can be a very big, intense, noisy celebration indeed. (I’m glad I’ll have really delightful helpers at my booth. Wait until you meet them!)

THE THREE COOLEST THINGS AT MY BOOTH THIS YEAR

Look for these at “Rose Rosetree’s Books and Readings.” Amid all the crowds, like human glitter:

1. Yes, I’ll be offering a 10% discounted fee for one of my personal sessions — both the 55-minute ones and the Energy Release Regression Therapy Sessions — if you commit to an appointment during the Expo.

“Commit” means “pay the fee for it.” Then you can call up later to schedule the session. No need to bring your big, floppy calendar all the way to the Expo.

Please note, ONLY ONE APPOINTMENT per person, and you must physically come to my Expo booth and sign up on the very day in order to take advantage of this discount.

2. Yes, I’ll be autographing books between doing the personal readings at my booth. Not only is it a fun way to make books more special for yourself. An autographed book makes such a special gift for birthday or Christmas or just an “I love you” present.

And this year, for the first time anywhere, I’m going to experiment with selling a small number of my foreign language editions, $25 for hardcovers and $20 for paperbacks. Check out the languages! They’ll include German, Arabic, Japanese. See if you can read any of these things!

SPECIAL COUPON FOR A DISCOUNTED ADMISSION

The Pathways Expo is a great bargain, 56 workshops all included, plus unlimited vibes and the chance to check out all 110 booths, all for a $15 admission fee. Even less, if you print out Pathways’ special coupon, which takes off $5 per person. Click here for the brochure and scroll down to that coupon.

Hooray, I may get to see you, Blog-Buddies. If you’re near this location, come on by:
University of Maryland University College Inn & Conference Center by Marriott
3501 University Blvd. East, Adelphi, Maryland

Directions from every which way are also in the Pathways Brochure. Scroll down and you’ll find loads of ways to get there.

That tasty, trendy spot in downtown D.C. has me available from 6 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13.

I’m especially excited to be going this time because it’s my last gig doing free Face Readings anywhere before I leave for a month in Japan.

Face Reading will tell you about gifts of your soul. Sit down like the brave lady pictured above and I’ll seek out a couple of distinctive items of Face Reading Data, things like cheek proportions or the shape of your lower lip.

Then I’ll point out the meaning of that Face Reading Data in my “Mirror of Wonder.” Okay, it does look like a rather ordinary mirror, even an IKEA mirror (pictured above, Face Reading photo credit to Double View Media.)

What matters is that often I point out things about your face physically, items of Face Reading Data you never noticed before. The funny thing there is that the more sophisticated you are in general, the more you’ll think that could never happen to you. But it can… and it’s done in a loving way, of course.

Nobody has ever left Posh, screaming and wailing, because of their Face Reading. (Actually, I’ve been doing these amazing Free Face Readings there for over a year, and I’ve never seen anyone screaming or wailing for any reason. Posh is a happy place!)

When I interpret that Face Reading Data, it will be a practical interpretation about some area of life like communication, power, sex, how you deal with money most productively. Because I use my system of Face Reading Secrets(R), there will be comments about a talent you have plus observations about a life lesson, which you may (or may not) have overcome yet.

Come be inspired, like the two ladies in the YouTube videos we made last month when I did Face Reading at Posh.

Click here for my favorite video so far, of Rose Rosetree doing Face Reading.

And here’s our second YouTube Rose Rosetree Face Reading link.

Here's a summary of Rose Rosetree's media interviews and readings about the Democratic Convention, Republican Convention, and the rest of Campaign 2008. Here, too, you can post your own questions and observations, using Deeper Perception to outsmart spin. In the past, I've been the first "Aura pundit" for a major American newspaper. Guess which one!

Currently I’m finishing up in-depth articles about Senator Biden, the Vice-Presidential nominee, for the September issue of my monthly zine, “Reading Life Deeper.” To sign up for the free zine, click here. Then scroll over to the signup link.

Interview requests are beginning to come in from the media. Check these out:

You might be amazed at the result if you contact your local newspaper and talk radio station, suggesting that I be interviewed to read faces of the candidates and also of local newsmakers, even convention delegates.

Media are hungry for new perspectives, and these days I just don’t have time to send out press releases as I once did.

So you could make the difference by making that call to the editor of your newspaper feature section.

Phoners are very common on radio. You could help one happen simply by calling the host and/or producer of a great local talk radio show.

Tell any contact that I have done over 800 media interviews so far!

I’ve reported on auras at the vice-presidential debate between Cheney and Lieberman for USA Today, probably making me the first “Aura pundit” for a major American newspaper. I’ll be supplying coverage of debates with deeper perception here at this blog, as the events unfold.

PAST POSTS ON CANDIDATES

Use the search box at the top of this blog to find readings I’ve done already of Obama, McCain, First Ladies-in-Waiting, and others. For posts from now on, through the election, I’ll keep an ongoing list here.

Finally, you are warmly invited to share your comments, observations, questions, and photo links here. This is the first presidential election when I have had a community to share, and I’m looking forward enormously to our online conversations.

Ever wonder what it means when identical twins wind up looking different from each other? Ask a face reader! Send your photos of adult twins, the older the better to enter. One or two sets of twins will be chosen for a free face reading by Rose Rosetree, author of "Read People Deeper: Body Language + Face Reading + Auras."

Face Readers, do you share my interest in twins?

Twins have fascinated me for most of my life. You may know a lot I don’t on this topic — including what it feels like to BE a twin or to be the parent or child or a twin. But I’ll bet you haven’t thought much about being a twin from the perspective of PHYSIOGNOMY, the ancient art of reading faces for character.

Identical twins become increasingly different looking over time. Why? Because of the connection between physical faces and the inner face.

How does free will change a face over time? This is the core of my interest in face reading, and the essence of my trademarked system, Face Reading Secrets(R).

Right now, I’m looking for some good photos of adult identical twins for my blog, so that I can do one or more posts where I read how their faces are the same, and what that means, and also HOW THEIR FACES LOOK DIFFERENT, and what THAT means.

So far, I haven’t done any blog posts about this. But I can tell you that I have done many personal face readings for clients who are identical twins. (I’ve been involved in teaching personal development for 38 years and, within the profession of physiognomy, am known as the mother of American face reading.

Let me tell you, nobody is more grateful for face readings than identical twins. And I would really like you Blog-Buddies to see some evidence of why.

If you are interested in sending links to photos, please send them here as comments.

At least one of the twins should be at least 18. (Yes, that’s one of my cute twin jokes.) Obviously, both most give permission. Send links ONLY if this is the case, because you can’t get much more public than a blog.

The older the twins are, the better. No particular face changes happen due to time alone. Instead, what out-pictures are consequences of thoughts and actions and choices to grow as a person.

Photos should show each face straight on and be big enough to see clearly face data about cheeks, mouth, nose, etc.

I would like to do at least one free face reading of adult identical twins, maybe more. Let’s be clear, however. I am not promising that I will read every paired photo of twins sent to me here. I will choose just one or two pairs that seem especially interesting.

What else would be useful for you to know? My system of face reading is based on the premise that “God don’t make no junk.” Although I usually go into potential challenges as well as talents, the overall intent is to help people. And that isn’t how most people view adult twins… or anyone else.

We'll use my system of Face Reading Secrets(R) to interpret some of the most distinctive face data on fascinating Federer, said to be the greatest tennis player in the history of the sport.

Tennis readings, anyone? Let’s make those face readings of Roger Federer, said to be the best tennis player in the history of the sport. And let’s thank Betsy and Anonymous for entering him into my Olympic Reading Contest!

We’ll use my system of Face Reading Secrets(R) to interpret some of the most distinctive face data on fascinating Federer.

Now, if you would like to read along with me, I recommend that you use this link or copy the head shot shown here to an email or Word document, then pull the corners. That way you can make his face at least as large as a decent tennis ball… and far easier to read.

But beware, before you begin reading faces. Beneath that charming smile is one scary tennis player. Let me count the ways:

1. Extreme lowbrows, eyebrows placed super-close to his eyes

Spontaneity. Able to express himself (physically and verbally) way faster than a hiccup. (Substitute your favorite expression for something really, really fast.)

2. High ear position. If you look on the level, you’ll see ear tops above his eyebrows.

Super-quick speed for thinking, deciding, evaluating, learning. People with high ears are somewhat rare – maybe 1 in 200 people owns this face data on even one ear.

When you have this, here’s one thing that happens. You’re sitting in the movie theater. Someone makes a joke. You laugh. Afterwards you hear everyone else in the theater laughing.

Nobody in the theater audience hands out prizes for such an ability. But think how it might come in handy if you’re holding a tennis racket.

3. Straight chin bottom. Notice the shape right at the bottom of the face.

Decisions are based on principle and theory. So if Roger psychs out an opponent’s weaknesses, he can aim his shots quite directly.

4. Straight lower lip bottom. Hold the lipstick but use your eyes to notice the contours of Roger’s lower lip.

Communication has no sentimentality whatsoever. He’s all business.

For a tennis player, of course, that racket becomes an extension of the body — an organ of communication at least as expressive as lips.

5. Out-angled ears. From the front, you can see much of the shape of those ears. From the back, you could slide a finger or two between the ear and his head. Assuming that Roger would let you!

Deep down, does Roger want to do what others expect? No way. Never way.

And could that willful unpredictability help with the psychological aspects of the game? And speaking of psychological advantages…

6. Priority Area I is longest. Simply put, Roger has an extremely long forehead.

Unlike most athletes, Roger Federer’s brain comes first. Not his physical intelligence. On and off the tennis court, he’s constantly learning, analyzing, trying out new strategies. And speaking of strategic advantages…

7. Long nose. A photo like this shows it well, even though the angle isn’t straight on.

I also like it because it highlights the lowbrows, high ears. straight lip bottom and chin. Don’t let the hairdo and camera angle make the Priority Area I seem small, however, which is the big disadvantage of this particular photograph.

Nose length like this goes with a work talent for planning and strategy. Trust me, to Federer tennis does count as work.

8. Down-turned nose tip. The tip is lower than the “bottom of the nose,” that place where nostrils are found.

If you can tear yourself away from your computer screen, find two mirrors so you can see your own nose in profile and check out your own nose tip angle. It goes up, not down, dollars to donuts, slams to mumbles (that last expression being my attempt to show how very much I know about Federer’s sport ).

That down-angled nose tip is an even deeper indicator of talent for creating strategy.

CONCLUSION

Roger has a lot going for him in this tennis racket. That penetrating and quick intelligence helps him succeed at the psychological aspect of the game, while double indicators for spontaneity amp up his speed. Most terrifying of all, for opponents, is the ability to think strategically. If he played chess, he could do it slowly. But Federer has been built with the speed and coordination to move strategically… and do it nearly as fast as others would, if very lucky, be able to think strategically.

As a face reader, I’d have to call it like this: Roger Federer wins by a nose.

Has Jodie Foster changed under that face which has changed so little? Aura readings explore the mysteries, along with reading faces.

Blog-Buddies, you’ve asked for it. Especially DANA, TARA, and COLLEEN. I’ll do my part, with aura readings of Jodie Foster over time, plus reading faces as well.

But after I begin, I’wm going to invite you to add your comments!

Here Ms. Foster is at 26 in her acclaimed role in the 1988 film,”The Accused.”

Has she changed much by “Contact” (my favorite of her movies that I’ve seen) in 1996?

Given the pressures of stardom, maybe she hasn’t changed much at all. Certainly, as a face reader, you might notice that these soul signature traits haven’t changed a bit.

To do Jodie justice, let’s include this great head shot from the 1980 movie “Taxi Driver.” Just 14, some of those soul signature traits show especially clearly, although we wouldn’t read them of course. (Ethically, one doesn’t read faces on people under 18.)

Left-leaning nose (The Fame Trait): A destiny for public acclaim.

Right eye is smaller than the left eye: Valuing feminine energy, intuition, over masculine energy and authority figures.

Extra full lower lip, what my colleague Lailan Young dubbed “Blarney Lips”: Exceptional persuasiveness.

Straight chin bottom: Making choices based primarily on principle, not convenience, staying in control, etc.

Yes, with the skill of a sophisticated face reader you can look at all these photos and see how the photography and makeup have disguised the nose and eye asymmetries. Interesting, huh?

You’ll notice these same attributes here in 2008, when Foster starred in “Nim’s Island.”

What has changed? Tighter skin. No bags under her eyes! With each passing year, wider jaws.

Friends, if you’re ever looking for a quick tip-off to who is pushing the body really hard to stay uncomfortably skinnier — I wouldn’t of course use those dreaded words “eating disorder” when such things are (a) a job requirement for Hollywood and (b) not usually publicly discussed — and when it’s not enough to look BELOW the face at the super-slim body, check out the jaws.

The larger those jaws, the greater the determination being used to whittle that body “down to size” and keep it there.

AURA CHANGES

Jodie Foster has clearly worked hard to keep herself looking unchanged over the decades. What do you notice about her aura?

Here I’ll just choose one databank, the Throat Chakra databank I call “Communicating as an actress.”

At 14 in “Taxi Driver”: An ancient being is present in that aura, intellectually based for this lifetime. Jodie’s analytical awareness is superb, also very active. She constantly analyzes, deconstructs, notices how people use facial expression, posture, voices. As a performer, she is confident that she can mimic any combination of human affect and expression.

All she needs to do is to understand it intellectually, separate the parts, and command herself to express it. This is a kind of magic for her, still a new toy, using this gift of her soul. And at 18 there is an overlay of youthful exhuberance and confidence that she will be well rewarded for showing her stuff.

At 26 in “The Accused”: Jodie’s gift of the soul has become more established. At this time in her life, she is playing with cranking up the sexual energy, finding it fun to use this extra component of her human self to add power to a performance.

At 34 in “Contact”: By now, Jodie has more of a personal investment in being praised, appreciated, loved through her career.

Acting still isn’t about her ego. It’s a form of service to humanity that flows THROUGH her personal ego, and she’s still dedicated to exploring the human condition and showing it larger than life yet still believable.

However, configurations of STUFF in her aura have left her feeling pretty depleted in her personal life at this time. She wants good reactions to this performance in order to make herself feel better.

At 46 in “Nim’s Island”: All of the technical skill remains; Jodie Foster is a meticulous performer. If anything, her natural talent has been honed through dedication to her art.

Unfortunately, enormous STUFF bearing down upon her. Joy is largely absent, at the time of this photo. Many of the hopes and dreams that Jodie brought into this life have been shattered, and she’s bravely doing her best to pick up those shards, using the movie as a reason to pull herself together.

Acting is a cruel business, often ruled by karma rather than talent, and a long acting career at her level of fame has been extremely challenging.

Personally, I think I was sensing the growing brittleness under Foster’s skin… even before noting all the (gee, I’m just guessing here) cosmetic surgery. Maybe Foster’s face just never has developed any lines, bags or sags, and we’re seeing the natural face of a woman in her late 40s, bearing an uncanny resemblance to herself at 14.

I’ve always admired Jodie Foster. In a profession that attracts brainy people at least as often as bimbos and himbos, she stands out as uncommonly smart. Aura readers, empaths, face readers — you’ll find a lot to admire here.

Your turn to read and to share.
