Empaths, when you have learned to safely turn your gifts OFF, only then is it wise to use the different skill set involved in turning empath gifts ON, so that you can use a technique of empath merge without taking on other people’s STUFF.

And you really, really don’t want to do that with Gov. Palin.

A sense of destiny is the clearest inner experience for Sarah Palin. She has been chosen. See, she has everything: The looks! The support! The scripts! The sense of purpose! That wonderful drive!

Her very biggest talent in life is persuasiveness. In the aura reading part of this article, yesterday’s post, I referred to throwing out a personality projection.

Now, reading Palin from the inside, reading her as an empath, what strikes me next is how clearly Sarah knows that “being a performer” is her biggest talent. Troopergate, as a scandal, brings her only as much terror as an ant would arouse.

The far bigger deal, the elephant in her GOP campaign room, is more like this: “God gave me this gift for being a performer and God has chosen me to do great work in politics.”

Underlying this sense of mission is an experience of herself as all important — what others would call “narcissism” and what I suspect that Palin, if asked, would call “how everyone is.” And, really, how would she know otherwise?

But here’s a clue. Non-narcissists do consider themselves important, just not all important.

Because Palin doesn’t understand this distinction, it seems natural to her that she would have been chosen for this political role. Of course, she wouldn’t think twice or blink once before accepting a nomination for which is she is so catastrophically unqualified.

Back at the empath merge, I was curious about researching the Hockey Mom aspect.

Does Palin really believe that she is just another Hockey Mom? Yesterday I saw a TV feature on how much has been spent on her hair, makeup, and wardrobe during this campaign — over $100,000. Not exactly the clothing budget of hockey moms. Maybe polo moms?

Doing the empath merge, I find that Palin quickly and conveniently skips over some facts about herself and her feelings. It’s like the conventional wisdom that the more often a person repeats a lie, the more thoroughly she can believe it. Doing a cute little inner wiggle, Palin sincerely believe all that she says.

Most important for understanding what makes Sarah Palin tick, doing this empath merge, I have to remind you Blog-Buddies that most of you would have to make an enormous inner leap to make contact with Palin’s particular inner reality. It is very much smaller than yours.

Doing an empath merge (and please, only, do this if you really have skill as an empath), be prepared for a huge jolt. It’s like traveling to another planet, where gravity is so different you now weigh 500 pounds.

For Sarah, outer show matters, not inner truth. Ratio of outer to inner in Sarah’s world? Maybe 1,000:1.

So, confidently putting one foot in front of the other, speaking one scripted joke after another — in Sarah Palin’s world, that’s all she need do. All the rest will be taken care of for her.

If this politics thing doesn’t work out, perhaps she might consider running a beauty academy. When it comes to being a looker, Palin has exactly the qualities needed, including a perpetual need to look (and blame) outward, never inward.

In my reading, so far, of commentaries on the Vice-Presidential Debate, nobody has mentioned it.

Tell me if you’ve noticed this fascinating behavior — or heard it commented upon. I call it a “Palin Pounce.”

Debating, Palin often showed the most fascinating way of smiling with her voice, lashing out with an attack, all the while seeming to maintain extreme pleasantness.

It’s like when a cat suddenly reaches out with claws to scratch somebody, then resumes a relaxed, purring posture. Hence the name “Palin Pounce.”

This sunny, calculated viciousness shocked me. I was listening to the end of the debate in my car, driving home from — what else? — a class where I was teaching Aura Reading and Face Reading.

I think of debates as a place to disagree, or even to grandstand, but — Call me “naive” in a different way than, perhaps, Palin says the same phrase —  I wasn’t prepared for all these fine nuances of hypocrisy. In my world, when someone attacks, that person doesn’t smile and simper, as if someone else entirely is pulling the pounce.

Tantalized, I wasn’t able to do Aura Reading while driving home late at night. As I listened, however, I knew the first thing I wanted to investigate this morning would be an Empath-Merge with Palin right when she pounced.

Shakespeare’s Hamlet would have been on to Pouncing Palin: “One may smile, and smile, and be a villain”.

INCLUSIVE ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

Just to give Biden a bit of time in this aura reading post, here’s another observation of behavior about last night’s debate — this one courtesy of my husband Mitch.

Mitch noticed the unusual behavior of Biden right after at the debate’s end. I had to watch the footage twice before I caught the quick thing noticed by my eagle-eyed husband.

Two groups had formed once the debate was concluded, one group around each candidate. Smoothly, swiftly, Biden found Palin’s husband, shook hands with him, and quickly caused the two groups to turn into one.

That generous, friendly-seeming impulse may have been calculated. Even so, actions like this have the potential to mean more than mere words.

And I’m thinking particularly of famous words from the politician Palin most resembles, George W. Bush.

“I’m a uniter, not a divider.”

All of us know how well those words turned out.

THE PALIN POUNCE

The photo shown here is a kind of place holder for Pouncing Palin during the debate. It wasn’t the basis for this Aura Reading but just the best I could find in a reasonable amount of time.

Pausing my video recording of the debate, I stopped just when she was doing one of her first digs at Biden:

I do take issue with some of the principle there with that redistribution of wealth principle that seems to be espoused by you. But when you talk about Barack’s plan to tax increase affecting only those making $250,000 a year or more, you’re forgetting millions of small businesses that are going to fit into that category.

I merged in, doing a technique for Empath-Merge, and will describe it in the language of Aura Reading. (If you were to use a quality technique for Aura Reading from TV, you would get similar data to doing an Empath-Merge, just without experiencing so vividly and personally. AURA READING OF AN EXTREME NARCISSIST

What’s most striking about being Sarah Palin? Her degree of narcissism is quite extraordinary. By comparison, she makes Paris Hilton seem almost caring. And I state that having vividly, memorably subjected myself to an Aura Reading and Empath-Merge of Paris Hilton. Here, I’ll highlight Palin’s narcissism-related data in red.

Aura Reading Databank at the Root Chakra:

HER PRESENCE IN THE ROOM

Solid, stolid, and down to earth, Palin IS very physically aware. This brings her credibility even if she weren’t throwing out a strong facade laced with sexiness. Being a performer (beauty pageant contestant, TV news personality) isn’t just a kind of work experience from her thin resume. She chose those venues precisely because it is a talent to project strong facades, and she’s got it.

Apart from the subliminal appeal to sexiness, there’s the fact that Palin’s root chakra and belly chakra are her glory, in terms of Aura Reading. This is where she shows her much vaunted vitality.

Even without Aura Reading consciously, other people who mainly are aware at the physical level of life (technical term: “Young souls”) love that quality of being physically centered. Even without Aura Reading at all, Sarah’s folks are absolutely delighted to meet someone who is “just like me.”

As souls become more mature, lifetime after lifetime, they project more energy in their:

• Mind (Aura Reading Databanks at the Solar Plexus Chakra)
• Intellect (Aura Reading Databanks at the Solar Plexus Chakra)
• Emotions (Aura Reading Databanks at the Heart Chakra)
• Connection to Higher Powre (Aura Reading Databanks at the Third Eye Chakra)

 But not our folksy friend Palin, beloved of “Joe Sixpack, hockey moms across the nation.”

Aura Reading Databank at the Root Chakra: SELF-CONFIDENCE

Confidence is huge. At this Aura Reading databank, Palin believes “I deserve to win.” No room for doubt, as far as she’s concerned.

Aura Reading Databank at the Belly Chakra: SEX APPEAL

Hey, it’s a talent. Beyond that, projecting big sex appeal is a way of life for Sarah Palin.

In case you’re interested, this aura reading databank is different from the one about ENJOYING SEX at the same chakra. Like many who use their innate sexiness for personal gain, Palin doesn’t seem to be particularly into it.

All those folks fantasizing about a romantic liaison with the former beauty queen — if you really want to make the scene realistic, in terms of what aura reading shows about Palin’s libido, expect that same endearing no-nonsense, businesslike ‘tude you have heard from the debate podium.

But sending out that sexiness is fun! “Wholesome! Ladies, I’m not threatening! Men, I’m adorable!”

Although you may find differences in language or image, doing Aura Reading here, I’m quite sure you will notice the hooks.

Ego hooks, stuck into sex appeal, can be merely manipulative or a feature of a narcissistic personality.  Nuances depend on the person. Given other Aura Reading databanks in this particular person, I would credit the Alaska governor with the narcissism.

Aura Reading Databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra: POWER INTEGRITY

If you’re a Palin pal, you’re going to love what she projects: “When I have the power, I do as I like.”

No doubt, she brings much the same decisive attitude when hunting moose.

Supreme confidence and self-absorption can created decisive action, but Palin’s version correlates with low power integrity. Remember that remark defended by Nixon? “If the president orders it, that makes it legal.”

Another way to observe Palin’s low power integrity involves Face Reading. Note the pronounced mouth pull you may have noticed often during this debate.

In repose, her mouth often lies toward the left. But when speaking, notice how her lips lean toward the right. In a previous Face Reading post, I’ve gone into detail about the meaning of mouth pulls.

Biden also shows a mouth pull toward the right occasionally while smiling. He does consistently speak from the center of his mouth, however.

Aura Reading Databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra:

DEALING WITH CONFLICT AS A POLITICIAN

In Sarah’s world, it’s “Us vs. them.” Although she may seem to pay attention to other people’s ideas, listening ability is really very limited.

Aura Reading Databank at the Heart Chakra:

EMOTIONAL CONNECTION TO OTHERS

This aura reading databank is the real clincher about narcissism. Sure enough, here is what I find while doing aura reading on this part of Sarah Palin’s heart chakra:

“It’s all about me. What else is there?”

Intrepidly aura reading, my input continues with this:

“There are important people. Watch their signals.

“Mostly, there are little people. All I need do is to smile and act confident. They’ll fall into line.”

Aura Reading Databank at the Heart Chakra:

CONNECTION TO HER OWN PERSONAL EMOTIONS

Don’t let the warmth in her voice fool you. Emotional warmth from Sarah Palin is a contrivance, neither spontaneous nor generous. She shows very little interest even in her own emotions.

That bleak inner landscape is like some semi-abandoned shack near an  Alaskan ice fishing hole. Picture just one sign that tells you all you need to know about Palin’s Emotional IQ: “If I feel it, it must be right.”

No further self-examination needed! On to the next topic. Perhaps some ice fishing?

Aura Reading Databank at the Throat Chakra:

PERSONALITY PROJECTION WHEN COMMUNICATING AS A POLITICIAN

At this level, as with her physical presence (aura reading databank at the root chakra), Palin evinces talent at sending out a huge and powerful facade.

It goes, “I am such a nice person.”

The wacky thing for me, doing this part of the aura reading, is that I could really understand the impact of this facade. It was projected through the sweet, spunky voice I heard in the car.

I kept feeling, “I like her. Aw, dagnab it, golly, shucks, hey. I just like that Sarah Palin so much.”

With her talent at conveying messages to the subconscious mind, if this politics thing doesn’t work out for Palin, and she ever needs a job, here’s my advice:

“Consider becoming a professional hypnotist.”

I am. And many a hypnotist would envy Palin’s ability to speak effectively to the subconscious mind. Only, of course, a professional hypnotist is constrained to send subliminal messages that are actually for the client’s own good.

Aura Reading Databank at the Throat Chakra:

VERBAL INTEGRITY AS A POLITICIAN

Slightly oily, the main quality at Sarah’s verbal integrity databank is a delight in sneakiness.

I’m not sure whether this quality would qualify as “tactic” or “strategy” to McCain, he being the self-proclaimed expert at distinguishing these two very difficult concepts.

Either way, nothing thrills Palin more than the experience of “Gotcha.” She is very practiced at hiding the resulting glee after she has scored a point over someone else.

Aura Reading, however, is a great way to tell whatever a person is hiding. In her case, sneakiness, gotcha, and pride are all tightly bound together.

Aura Reading Databank at the Third Eye Chakra:

CONNECTION TO SPIRITUAL SOURCE

When someone goes on record as a very public Christian, it’s always a treat to admire the great and high-vibrational spiritual connection, the deep dedication, the sweet surrender, that pure connection to the sacred heart of Jesus. Except… oops!

I do know some devout Christians who have this, but Sarah Palin certainly isn’t among them. Her version of spiritual connection is tight and controlled:

“What I want in any given moment is my most sacred belief.”

Aura Reading Databank at the High Heart Chakra:

EXPRESSING HER HUMAN SOUL THROUGH HER PERSONALITY

Sarah Palin does really well here, better than John McCain during debates or, for that matter, George W. Bush.

She’s just lovin’ the attention, the fame. She expects victory.

Gotta give Pouncing Palin due credit. She’s being as straight up with Americans as she can, given how much she knows, how hard she thinks, and how well the rest of her aura matches the supreme sense of self-confidence projected here.

CONCLUSION

What, Sarah Palin being incurious? Lacking integrity?

You don’t have to do Aura Reading to spot that from last night’s debate. And even without Aura Reading, you might have noticed the Palin Pounce.

But there’s nothing like exploring someone’s energy field to turn up surprises. And, to me, narcissism is the big surprise.

 I know that politicians who strive for high office aren’t the sanest group of people on the whole. I’m also aware that Sarah Palin doesn’t necessarily appear a narcissist. And, guess what, it’s also quite evident to me that most people don’t yet do Aura Reading. Which would make Palin’s narcissism quite obvious.

On the surface, it isn’t. Today’s Washington Post, for instance, shows her in a photo with Biden. One of Palin’s daughters stands there, front and center. Warms the heart, right? We’re used to thinking, “Any mother cares about her child.”

Oh, really? Plenty of mothers just go through the motions in public. Just ask many of the clients I’ve had for cutting cords of attachment and/or Energy Release Regression Therapy.

Factcheck.org is an invaluable resource, if you start wondering which innocent-faced lies are going to be perpetrated by the party that invented Swift-boating.

Repeat a lie often enough and gullible people will believe them. Maybe, but people who do aura reading won’t.

NEW LOWS FROM SARAH PALIN

Even the front page of The Washington Post reads like Factcheck.org this morning, with two (count ‘em !2!) front page stories about Republican lies.

It’s saddening.

About her former painkiller addiction, Cindy McCain has said on national TV that she tries “to talk about it as much as possible,” yet she and her husband, presidential candidate John McCain, were unavailable for comment for today’s story in the Post, which describes in detail how they covered up the full story of her addiction and people whose lives she ruined.

Well, why would he or she bother discussing little people?

Today’s second story, incredibly, is about how “Palin links Iraq to Sept. 11 in talk to troops in Alaska.”

Reporter Anne Kornblut notes, “The idea that the Iraqui government under Saddam Hussein helped al-Qaeda plan the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, a view once promoted by Bush administration officials, has since been rejected even by the president himself.”

But why would that stop Sarah Palin? She keeps repeating her lie about “Thanks, but no thanks.” Although she’s the one who requested funding for Alaska’s notorious “Bridge to Nowhere” and Congress cut off funding before she had a chance to say “Thanks or no thanks.”

Later in that article, candidate Palin is quoted from her TV interview yesterday with Charlie Gibson. She didn’t hesitate when offered the No. 2 spot on the Republican ticket, bragging that she’s ready because she’s so committed to America’s “mission, the mission that we’re on, reform of this country and victory in the war.”

Actually, that’s two wars. Unless you also count the one she said might be necessary with Russia.

SEPARATE TRUTH FROM LIES

My students and I have demonstrated repeatedly that you can do accurate aura readings from regular photographs. The LINKS section at the end of this post supplies resources for doing your own readings — yes, I could definitely teach you if you’re curious. Aura reading isn’t available only to the clairvoyant. My trademarked system can help you to use your inborn, natural gift set for aura reading.

Face reading, the ancient art of reading faces for character, is even easier than aura reading — though it is not as quick and easy (and misleading) as simply judging a face at a glance. (If you see a book that promises to show you how to do face reading or aura reading in five minutes, be aware you’re being handed an empty promise.)

Legitimate face reading, like aura reading, takes a bit of time. Not a huge amount, though, just a reasonable amount. For example, I’ve taken on crooked smiles of politicians in depth in this previous blog post. Take a look at the face reading article if you are ready to see more than you’ve already noticed right on the surface.

Moving deeper, to the level of aura reading, this article uses the photos being shown here. If you can’t tell these four candidates apart, you need more than aura reading! Go straight to a newspaper of record, like the New York Times, the Washington Post, or the L.A. Times. (And I’m proud to say that two out of three of these have praised my work in print.)

The unexamined political life is not worth living. I know too many otherwise intelligent, thoughtful people who believe the lies being told today. Don’t you know many people who fall into this, too? Having different points of view is one thing, but when people uncritically gobble up lies, favoring for the most trivial reasons, it can give a friendship… indigestion.

Aura reading, like face reading and body language, are no substitute for getting the facts. Personally, I know that distinction is very important. I never miss an election. I get the facts before voting for president. Then, like any responsible voter in the 21st century, I supplement the facts by using deeper perception to read character. And that’s the point of this article.

When aura reading and face reading become routine forms of literacy, we won’t suffer today’s Orwellian culture of political lies being repeated.

Below, I’ll going into the specific aura databanks that matter most for spotting liars. Remember that you can enlarge any of these photos easily for doing your own readings. Just right click to copy the photo, paste onto a blank document in Word or an email. Pull on the corners and there you go!

VERBAL INTEGRITY IN PUBLIC, DATABANK AT THE THROAT CHAKRA

• McCain: Deep down, he’s a thoughtful person with a laudable capacity for viewing complex issues honestly, bringing a fresh perspective. On the surface, where he projects his personality, McCain’s aura shows something similar. Unfortunately, in the middle — like some sinister type of double-stuff Oreo — John McCain knowingly lies. He’s been doing it for quite a long time. The slimy pattern says, “I must do this even though I feel guilty about it, because otherwise I won’t have the chance to make a difference.”
• Obama: Charisma pervades this databank. On the outer edge, charm is accentuated, with the attempt to show an extreme degree of coolness verging on “Nothing bothers me.” Underneath there’s a great deal more seriousness. Also principle. Telling the truth is something this man cares about passionately.
• Palin: Aura reading suggests that Palin works hard to project a strong and appealing image. Like a fine beer, it has high notes and low notes, including, “I am someone you can depend upon, like the next female face at Mr. Rushmore” and simply, “I’m so cute.” Regarding the pattern beneath this facade, Sarah Palin doesn’t merely lie routinely in public life. She is proud it. Cleverness and cunning are prized values for this woman.
• Biden: On the surface, Biden doesn’t project any qualities strongly. Alas for him, in that way, the senator is like most people, rather than most politicians. Beneath that, Biden is what I’d call a minor-league liar. He compromises and cajoles and bends the truth, doing this as a kind of social skill. Yet deeper beneath there’s conviction and integrity. Bottom line: Although a pattern of social lying exists, at least it is not substantive lying.

• McCain: Here I find McCain truly frightening. The drive to power is overwhelming, distorting, convoluted. The man has deep pockets — and I don’t mean those he can claim financially, through marriage. His deep pockets are about anger. For more details, see my previous aura reading article about torture.
• Obama: Although the Democratic nominee isn’t as hungry as the Republican, make no mistake. Obama’s power chakra has a lean and hungry look. Yet idealism is part of the picture, something missing entirely from McCain’s aura. And yes, pure power integrity in Obama looks excellent: He does what he says he will do.
• Palin: Power integrity is worse than she knows. Why? Sarah Palin dumbs herself down, as convenient. Long-term patterning in this part of her aura reading suggests that she does things her own way, not what she has promised necessarily, then attributes the difference to qualities like “independence.” Isn’t the human capacity to rationalize a wondrous thing? Then Palin lets her mind close down, forgetting everything that happened that would cause her to possibly add 2 + 2 and get 4. No wonder her self-confidence is so unusually strong. Even John McCain has the grace to feel guilty about his deceptions.
• Biden: Integrity of action matters a great deal to this good Catholic boy.

• McCain: John’s spiritual connection is small and sad. See more details at the aura reading article about torture. Here I’ll just add how refreshing it is that McCain does not cover up his lack of spiritual connection with George Bush-style hypocrisy.
• Obama: Anyone doing aura reading who has watched Obama walk into a room and talk has felt the glow. Spiritual integrity is high, and so is the degree of spiritual inspiration.
• Palin: Are you kidding? Spiritual? Integrity? If you are used to spotting narcissists, you will find a familiar quality here, rather than much of a spiritual presence.

Again, she represents a fascinating contrast with her running mate. McCain lacks spiritual integrity because he has been through hell and it hurt him. Then he compounded the problems with lack of verbal and power integrity, those famous flip-flops, feeling deep guilt about all he has done.

By contrast, Palin is refreshing! She’s fresh!

Yes, she’s fresh out of integrity and doesn’t look back. For her, political expediency has been an easy choice. No guilt complicates things.

Yes, I’ve read that Gov. Palin has strong ties to the Religious Right, but an aura reading reveals that connection to God has little place in her life, except as a way of positioning herself socially. In this way, she fits right in with other leaders of the Religious Right.

• Biden: He may not have Obama’s rare quality of inspired connection. Yet Joe Biden does carry a sense of the sacred in this part of his aura. Of the four candidates, Biden has the second largest spiritual connection at the third eye. Spiritually, he doesn’t compromise.
