Anna Maria Arias was a publishing pioneer, the founder of Latina Style magazine. By the time of her death, October 1, circulation reached 150,000 for this first large-circulation publication for Latin American women. Despite chronic and severe health problems, Arias was an achiever, for herself and others. Her mott? Si se puede—yes, you can. 

Here’s what I found in her energy field, based on a Latina Style photo. 

Physical chakra (About relating to physical life):

What an intense, unstoppable force Arias was! Not only did she appreciate what was around her physically; to an unusual degree, recognized how things that happen can have symbolic value.

Sex chakra (About sex, creativity, expression of Inner Child):

Arias’ sexuality and creativity were equally zesty, active components of her personality. The Inner Child aspect was downplayed for her, though. Some of us play the role in life of serious adults; she did.

Solar plexus chakra (About intellectual abilities and power):

Arias thought big, not in a grandiose way but comprehensively. One spiritual gift that shows in this part of her aura is holistic knowing, the ability to hold a space for many people. Though I know nothing about Arias except what I read in the Post, I’m impressed at how this component of her aura relates to her life work. Entrepreneurial smarts could have motivated Arias to position herself to create a magazine for one of America’s largest minority groups. But her aura says no way! The desire for service motivated this woman, not profits.

Heart chakra (About emotions):

Intense loyalty was a gift for this fighter. The relative size of this part of her aura, compared to the previous chakra, suggests that more often than living from her heart, however, she stayed mentally focused. One interesting component of feeling for Arias was her temper. If she had to fight someone, she could easily muster exceptionally forceful rage, effective actions. It’s not that I found resentment or anger in her aura—more that she had a kind of circuitry (probably developed through practice and necessity) for effective anger, as needed.

Throat chakra (About communication):

Subtlety was not her strong point. Arias was a forceful communicator, with great integrity and a gift for conveying information about down-to-earth things.

Third eye (Spiritual experience, including willingness to see her own life clearly):

A beautiful degree of purity shines from Arias. “Actions speak louder than words” could have been her motto. Effective action through service was a spiritual path for her.

High heart (Expression of the soul through personal life)
