Deeper Perception Made Practical

More Name Changes of the Rich and Famous

Best Celebrity Aura Readings

What if you woke up one morning and suddenly your name was Portia De Rossi? That’s quite a switch from Mandy Rodgers.

As you may know, lately we have been doing a specialized kind of Aura Reading Research on names. We’ve compared certain chakra datanks of celebrities… before and after a drastic name change.

Most people never think to explore the detailed and highly specific changes to a person’s energy field, related to the consequences of life choices.

Why change names rather than do facial surgery?

I do believe that changing one’s name on purpose is an important resource for most of us.  Yet, as you may know from Face Reading posts at this blog and elsewhere, I am not a fan at all of cosmetic surgery.

Sure, this is muy counter culture. Society urges us to change our faces early and often, running to the vanity surgeon at the slightest whim and squirting Botox into ourselves as though it was as natural as drinking one’s favorite beverage. (Pocari Sweat, perhaps?)

Yet my research on Face Reading Secrets® over the decades has convinced me that faces are a perfect reflection of the soul. And soul growth does out-picture, one facial change at a time. Wrinkles are only the obvious change; 90% of the facial characteristics can alter over time.

Vanity surgery may win “pretty points” but it carries ugly inner consequences that distort personal growth. (If you want to learn more about that, check out a book I worked on for nearly 10 years, Wrinkles Are God’s Makeup: How You Can Find Meaning in Your Evolving Face.)

In short, surgically changing your face can detract from soul expression. By contrast, many people today outgrow their names. We can go through Virtual Reincarnation. We can evolve so quickly that names that suited us once, no longer match us at all.

And every name choice has implications for every single one of a person’s hundreds of chakra databanks. You can be sure that your soul likes certain names and loathes others. Unless you have strong beliefs in the sacredness of your birth name or married name, why not investigate with some Aura Reading Research?

All the stars whose name changes were explored in my earlier article chose extremely wisely, in terms of aura consequences. How about this last batch?

Portia De Rossi

Yes, an earlier name was Mandy Rodgers.

Root Chakra Databank for Presence while Performing

With old name: A little shy, a little tentative, Mandy has performance talent but feels ambivalent about it.

With chosen name: Energetically, Portia’s presence becomes about 20 times stronger. She’s still no powerhouse, energetically. But she has enough of a presence to make a memorable impression. Another name might have helped her a great deal more in this regard.

Root Chakra Databank for Making Money

With old name: Earning potential was significantly lacking. Mandy was positioned to be supported financially and, perhaps, pay a high inner price for her dependency.

With chosen name: Earning potential has increased 10-fold. Yet there’s an easy-come-easy-go quality to this improved earning frequency.

High Heart Chakra Databank for Soul Thrill

With old name: Mandy felt awkward and showed the absolute minimum of soul expression. “Stuck” is the technical name.

With chosen name: Unfortunately, the brave experiment of this name doesn’t serve her much better. Portia still doesn’t have a clue about who she is inside. One thing this performing life has taught her, it seems to me, when reading her at the time of this photo…  Being a celebrity may have felt like a triumph at times, but it still hasn’t brought Portia either happiness or a sense of security.

Her sense of self now is more complicated than ever, more confused, and no more aligned than before.

Carmen Electra

Meet Tara Leigh Patrick in her celebrity version.

Root Chakra Databank for Presence while Performing

With old name: As Tara, the energetic signature for performance is very limited. She has very little impact aurically, no matter what kind of performance she tries.

With chosen name: She’s courageous, very down-to-earth and street smart. Anyone who has had a tough childhood in the big, wild world would be inspired by the scarring here, showing that she has overcome many big obstacles.

Root Chakra Databank for Making Money

With old name: Heavy family karma is attached to that name, and it seems unlikely that Tara could earn much. Influenced by family members, her identity is pulled toward where she came from rather than where she wishes to go.

With chosen name: Income is way better, if not great. Her gratitude is great. Carmen has made herself into a stronger, more resilient person who actively takes responsibility for her financial situation.

High Heart Chakra Databank for Soul Thrill

With old name: Soul is crushed, more than expressed. Life seems harsh, especially disturbing memories from Tara’s growing-up years.

With chosen name: Thirty times more soul thrill pops up. Vulnerability is greater than before, but so is the sense of adventure. Soul growth has improved dramatically.

Kirk Douglas

Skipping some generations back, that’s quite some change, Mr. Isidore Demsky. This was no casual shift, becoming Kirk Douglas.

Root Chakra Databank for Presence while Performing

With old name: Feminine energy is conspicuously stronger. Sensitivity shows. Although the presence has elegance and finesse, it’s easy to overlook Isidore.

With chosen name: Bam! 100 times stronger, way more male, and replete with a warrior vibration — this is a day-and-night transformation.

Root Chakra Databank for Making Money

With old name: Hard work and persistence, plus a great work ethic, help Isidore do better than, say Carmen Electra. Still…

With chosen name: Income circuits turn spectacular. Not only is it easier for Kirk to make money when he has this different persona and name — the whole style of work shifts. Think of the difference between working hard to row a boat, then moving upward to a fine sailboat. It’s a beautiful day and the gusts move you along as if by magic.

That easy flow symbolizes the money flow for Kirk Douglas.

High Heart Chakra Databank for Soul Thrill

With old name: Isidore feels family obligations. He feels entrenched social patterns that threaten to rob his life of joy. It’s a very stuck feeling.

With chosen name: A Divine shaft of light moves through him now. In this different version, truer to the Divine pattern for his soul, this man has the ability to model strength for others. All the struggles he has suffered before can serve as education. He, in turn, can educate others, helping inspire them to discover their personal power.

Conclusion

You don’t have to be a performer to wish to change your name. You merely have to be someone who wants a more self-actualized life.

Between this morning, when I started this post, and now as I’m finishing it, a client told me that she had thought about maybe spelling her name differently. Picture going from “Gladys Jones” to “Gladis Q. Jones.”

An expert in numerology suggested it. You probably know some brave souls who have done similar shifts.

I’m suggesting something bolder. Something that may not be as odd to the new people you meet. Instead of tweaking a name that may be limiting your life, why not research a full set of chakra databanks, ones that matter to you? Why not do name change research and find a name that really thrills your soul, adds to your income, improves your sex life, or otherwise helps you to create the life that you would most like to have.

One resource for doing this is my upcoming workshop… on how to do this type of research for yourself. Goal Setting with the Aura Reading Advantage will be January 8, a one-day workshop.

This stuff about name changes is very interesting. Of course most women change their last name when they marry. Should we consider that when choosing a mate or deciding whether or not to take his name?

  2. 2

MARY, thanks for all your recent comments.

It’s relatively easy to take a mate and explain you don’t choose to take that mate’s name.

Whatever your marital status, consider doing Thrill Your Soul research on your name. I have found that name change research is one of the very most powerful (and easy) ways to have a better life.

Names are vibrations that can be constructive or destructive to different components of your energetic self, or chakra databanks.

    How very nice to read.

When married, I chose a new last name entirely. What I told people was that my husband’s name is too long (like my maiden) and that my family name brought me no luck whatsoever – I can identify with what you wrote about Carmen Electra quite susinctly.

It’s nice to see some positive reinforcement about name changes – I typically got nothing but “guff” about it.

Also, I wanted a beautiful name.

I don’t have an English first name (Grazyna – which I didn’t actually change. “Grace” is a direct translation – I’ve been called both since childhood.) and everyone comments on how beautiful my name is, although no one can say it, which I always found to be alienating.

Anyway, it’s refreshing to hear appreciation and approval of an unconventional effort for more peace in your life. Incidentally, my chosen name is Soma now. And I DO like it…. Grace Soma, it has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it 😉

    GRACE, that ring is magnificent!

In case there is still interest in name changes of celebrities, it would be fun to have a look at the change made by the multi-talented and very funny Mindy Kaling.

I saw her on the David Letterman show recently and learned that her given name is actually Vera Mindy Chokalingam.

She said that “Vera” sounds like an old Russian lady. 🙂
