Deeper Perception Made Practical

Can you cut the cord to your ego?

Best Celebrity Aura Readings

Back in the 1980’s, I was working with a new student who happened to be a Franciscan nun, Sister Gladys. As we spoke, her face took on a look of shame. She told me, “I have a terrible secret.”

Taking care to look un-horrified, I leaned in to hear what she had to say

Even before developing energetic literacy, I considered myself a pretty good judge of character. Sister Gladys reminded me of an angel. What could be her terrible secret?

“I’m very selfish,” she told me.

Having worked with Sister Gladys for quite a while, I could expand her concerns into this paragraph:

What if I do all I can to renounce my ego and live like a saint but I keep having personal thoughts, personal desires, likes and dislikes?

Had she been self-conscious about language, the nun might even have added:

What’s wrong with me that I like the word “I” ? Even if it weren’t required in the English language, I would like using it. I like saying words like “Me,myself, and I.” And “MINE, MINE, MINE.” Words like this make me feel better, stronger, clearer, calmer.

Ego from the perspective of energetic literacy

Hating the ego is common, even if not deserved. Many a spiritual seeker has been told to renounce the ego in the name of seeking a closer connection to God.

Monks and nuns try harder than most. But few people attain an ego-less state. You can choose a lifestyle of renunciation, like Sister Gladys, and do it quite perfectly yet still have a strong human ego.

To which I say, “Congratulations. Because otherwise you’re probably insane.”

You know, there’s another word for your human ego. Your soul.

That part of you has likes and dislikes, preferences, desires. You also have skin. What’s so terrible about that?

To this aura reader, your soul shows especially clearly:

  • In chakra databanks at your high heart chakra.
  • In every single databank all of your aura, which means 50 databanks in every major chakra and dozens of databanks in minor chakras.
  • Think how often, here at this blog, you have heard me comment on “Gifts of your soul.” They’re in every single chakra databank, individual as fingerprints. They make you YOU.

Ego for an enlightened person

Maybe you have been seeking a reduction of ego as a path to enlightenment. Talk about putting the cart before the horse!

When you use techniques of aura reading or Skilled Empath Merge, reading someone who is spiritually enlightened — think you’re going to find no personal ego, no chakra databanks with gifts of the soul?

You kidding?

Just this morning, I was doing research for my latest book and checked out Emmet Fox’s photo.

Note: Over time, links can go bad. And legally I don’t have the rights to show celebrity photos, so I can’t display them here other than providing links. But you can easily go over to Google, type in the person’s name and the blog post date, then search on images. Click on a good image, preferably current with the time of the reading here at this blog.

As of this morning, Fox became #20 on my life list of Enlightened People. (Yes, I keep such a list, the way birdwatchers write down finding a very rare plastic  flamingo on a lawn, or whatever.)

Why don’t people who are enlightened come across as having a big ego? Because they’re connected to something even bigger. With enlightenment, the entire aura is STUFF-free, beautifully balanced, and radiating huge megawatts of bliss.

But enlightened people still have fingerprints. And gifts of the soul. And, always, a glorious personal ego.

Honor your soul. Don’t hate it.

You well meaning enlightenment seekers, have you been trying to drive yourself nuts? Not on purpose, but by ripping out your ego! Well, cut it out! Not the ego. The being mean to yourself.

When you really are fully enlightened, what kind of enlightened person do you want to be, anyway? You think you’re going to suddenly morph into Emmet Fox?

Or maybe you’ll turn into Lady Diana? (Sorry, she was lovely and photogenic and all, but definitely not enlightened. Use your skills of energetic literacy on one of her photos and this will become painfully clear.)

Think you’ll turn instead into Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who made her transition about the same time? (Sorry again. She wasn’t enlightened either. Again, aura reading or Skilled Empath Merge will make this painfully clear.)

If you want real perspective on your heroes, both gifts of the soul and STUFF, you really owe it to yourself to learn aura reading. Or, if an empath, to learn the full skill set of Empath Empowerment(R), after which it becomes safe and powerful for you to use a technique of Skilled Empath Merge.

Without energetic literacy, what do you really know about the who-you-be about anybody or anybody’s ego? Just gossip!

The path of ego denial

With energetic literacy, check out the consequences of any spiritual or psychological practice designed to negate the ego. To do this, read a photo of the person BEFORE beginning the practice. Compare your findings to what you read, using energetic literacy on a photo of that person AFTER doing that practice for a while.

I can pretty much guarantee that the person’s aura will be a bigger mess than before. STUFF may be covered up or the person may have created a form of detachment. The person may have worked really hard to eat a super pure diet that weakened the system and produced a feeling of “calm.”

Subjectively, that could seem like a big improvement. Objectively, though? Decide for yourself. Personally, I don’t find STUFF adorned with illusion and the very best intentions in the world… to be particularly impressive. Though such a pursuit is sweet. It could even be considered a fine way to explore earth reality for as long as a person wishes to pursue that particular experiment.

How to enjoy having that personal ego

Since you can’t really stomp that ego out — and you won’t really want to unless your idea of a great time is being insane — might I make a suggestion?

Clean up your STUFF. Most likely, it’s all the STUFF weighing down your aura that gets a person down on the ego.

Your soul, your distinctive ways of being and doing and loving, are incredibly wonderful. When they don’t feel so wonderful, that’s because of STUFF like cords of attachment and the STUFF removed during Energy Release Regression Therapy or other types of astral debris.

Do it yourself, if you want to, by gaining skills of Empath Empowerment. Or learn a quality method to Cut Cords of Attachment. Take the time to get really good skills for yourself or use some of your discretionary income to hire a professional who can facilitate removing STUFF at the level of auras, a.k.a. “Aura healing” or “Chakra healing” or “Permanent healing, not just wishful thinking about healing.”

Whenever STUFF is gone, after every single bit of permanent aura healing, you feel more like yourself. And that’s good. And that’s YOU.

Cool, Rose, thanks for posting this.

It makes sense when I think about people like Meryl Streep (on your enlightened list.) You can feel that her connection to God/joy/bliss is so strong that ego does not figure prominently in her choices. At the same time, she is very individual and unique.

There seems no question that she knows who she is.

I thought you were already to 22 with George Clooney! Any chance we could get a peek at this list?

Rose, your postings on cutting cords of attachment to God and the ego made me think of something. Is it possible to cut the cord of attachment to “work”?

Love Emmet Fox, by the way. Reading him in the morning always gets my day off to a good start.

JORDAN, the counting has been lamentably inaccurate. I am now preparing and refining a written-down list, rather than simply toting it all around in my head and my heart.

When it is ready, and my new book is published, remind me again and I will put it on the blog. (Don’t want to do it before then, as some aspects of the upcoming book are related.)

I will tell you that currently the written-down list goes just up to 20 so far. Now that it is written down and counted!

MARCIA, how delightful to have you comment here at Deeper Perception Made Practical.

Emmet Fox, yes! You know, we have a Writer Profile Contest in progress for the next couple of days. You might want to nominate him. (Find the post in the right column.)

Meanwhile, in response to your question, NO, there is no such thing as a cord of attachment to work. It must be to a person.

God may not be flesh-and-blood in the way we are but God is person enough.

Now I know that to some “God is work” — especially those of us in the metro Washington D.C. area. But not when it comes to generating a cord of attachment.

    Hope this helps.

    Bridget says:

Can someone become enlightened and then suffer a tramatic event that would create a cord of attachment thus un-enlightening them? Is enlightenment permanent?

  7. 7

BRIDGET, as I understand it, Enlightenment is permanent.

Suffering a trauma doesn’t necessarily create inner STUFF. With a more resourceful system, there’s greater flexibility, more silence, more recover.

One less thing to worry about, right?

    Jordan says:

Hmmm, that’s an interesting question and answer, Bridget and Rose. It’s making me think… about patterns among different cords of attachment. It’s starting to look like a certain issue might come up at one point in your life (or for decades, or for a lifetime), over and over with different people, until you learn how to deal with it. And then, even if someone comes into your life who would have activated that same issue in you in the past… they just won’t. You might not even notice it… or you will, and you’ll be so happy and proud.

For example, I could have cords of attachment to six or seven high school girlfriends, all containing cords items indicating they were jealous of me. But if I learned how to identify jealousy and process it in an appropriate way, it probably wouldn’t show up in cords anymore. One step closer to enlightenment..

JORDAN, well thought out, well stated.

There is an old saying about how hard people take life experiences, depending on level of consciousnessness — and what I call “STUFF.”

At the beginning of an evolutionary experience, difficult life experiences are like lines carved on a rock.

With a freer nervous system, the same experience might be like a line drawn in water.

And, as the traditional knowledge goes, from the Vedas, for an enlightened soul, life experiences are more like a line drawn in the air.

Something to look forward to, right? 🙂
