Enlightenment Life List

Rose Rosetree's Enlightenment Life List

Enlightenment Life List — Read This And Be Inspired

Enlightenment Life List — sure, why not? Just as birdwatchers keep a life list of exotic birds they have spotted, I have begun a list.

Granted, this is just Rose Rosetree’s personal Enlightenment Life List. Mine contains names of people whom I consider to have moved into  Enlightenment. Not because they are famous or pretty, talented or otherwise amazing as human beings. As a teacher of energetic literacy, and also an Enlightenment coach, I research Enlightenment and what it means to me.

This post contains my running list, begun on Sunday, July 18, 2010. These posts can help you keep track before nominating:

  1. A YouTube Video Explanation of Why I Maintain this List
  2. Discerning Enlightenment
  3. Enlightenment Nominees
  4. Alphabetical Enlightenment List
  5. Moving into Enlightenment, Helped by Rosetree Energy Spirituality

Rose Rosetree’s Official Enlightenment Life List

Big disclaimer:  What does it mean when I note that a person’s state of consciousness qualifies as living in Enlightenment? Is it an endorsement of that person’s healing services, meditation techniques, or other work? Definitely not. Use your Post-New-Age consumer smarts. Please!

  232. South African civil rights leader Desmond Tutu was nominated by Blog-Buddy JULIE, also on this Enlightenment Life List. Added on January 22, 2017!
  233. Cellist Yo-Yo Ma was also added, nominated by me, on January 22, 2017.
  234. Nisargadatta Maharaj, the late Advaita Teacher, was nominated by Blog-Buddy ALEX and added to this list on February 8, 2017.

  246. Singer Leslie Odom Jr, famed for his role in “Hamilton,” was nominated by JEAN, from our Enlightenment Life List. Hooray! (BTW, he spells his name with no comma before the “Jr.”) I’m very interested in reading his aura at the blog. You’ll find a link under the “Celebrity Readings Post.” Always a fun reference for energetic literacy perspective on public figures.
  247. BBC Historian Lucy Worsley was nominated by LILIAN. Yes, a “very British celebrity” in Enlightenment.
  248. I found this guy while watching TV: Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub Jr.
  249. Jennifer Doudna was proposed for a face reading contest by LILIAN. See that prize here, and the bit about Enlightenment at the end.
  250. Penny Wong, a Senator in Australia, was nominated by Blog-Buddy KATHLEEN, herself in Enlightenment.
  251. LINDSEY, from our Enlightenment Life List, just nominated British actor Martin Clunes. Yes, indeed, this joy sparkler belongs on this list!

  253. With joy again, today I add MANDEEP SAGOO, a member of the RES Community, to this Enlightenment Life List.
  254. Krista Tippett, host of the important PBS Show “On Faith,” joins our Enlightenment Life List today, thanks to a nomination from DEIRDRE. And in 2018 I resolve to start adding the date for new additions. Today’s January 19, 2018.
  255. Rick Carlisle, Coach of the Dallas Mavericks, was nominated by LEO. And, yes, today’s still January 19, 2018.
  256. And rounding out a great day of Enlightenment Validation, let’s also add John McWhorter, Ph.D. Yes, on that humdinger day, January 19, 2018. Here’s a blog post about him, containing a link to his photograph.
  257. This Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, I’m adding a basketball phenom for the Warriors. RES Apprentice LEO was the talent scout.
  258. And there’s more, on Feb. 4, 2014, since RES Apprentice AJ nominated Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Possibly the first Supreme Court Justice to have moved into Enlightenment.
  259. Wow, call it a basketball or a touchdown or whatever on Feb. 4, 2014. RES Apprentice LEO has scored another win for our Enlightenment Life List by nominating Harvard Professor Richard Weissbourd.
  260. Also on Feb. 4, 2014,  we can add Chuck Schumer, Minority House Leader. Just glorious.

Got more candidates for this Enlightenment Life List? As time permits, I’ll do a short aura reading for free of each nominee, just to screen, and will respond with a simple YES or NO.

How to submit a nomination for this free aura reading research

Here is my open invitation to you Blog-Buddies. Any time you have a serious candidate for this list, you are invited to write one or more brief comment with the following info:

  1. To avoid duplicated research, please check out the list of previous nominees. I’ll only research a nominee one time for this list. (Some exceptions will be made, but at my personal discretion only. Thank you for respecting my time.)
  2. Include, please, the nominee’s name and a one-click link to a clear photo. Yes, a photo, please. Not a link to a YouTube video.
  3. Please summarize WHY you are interested.
  4. One nominee per comment, please. Unless your nomination is longer than a few paragraphs. In that case, please break up that nomination into multiple comments.
  5. Remember, even if your nominee doesn’t make it onto Rose Rosetree’s personal Enlightenment Life List, if that person has been a spiritual inspiration to you, keep that inspiration. A person need not be living in Enlightenment to do great work, be mega-talented as a healer or teacher or anything else. Your nominee could still touch your heart, change your life, even be a saint! As an Enlightenment Coach, I simply aim to help spiritual seekers to aim for standards. Energetic Literacy makes that possible for those of us living now.
  6. Finally, regarding your nomination, I request your patience. It takes more time than you might think to do this research, as does maintaining the blog itself. So I save up comments to this post and then go in and spend the hours required to respond. You might want to check back often and comment at other posts, too.

And What Will I Do with Your Nomination?

Here’s my part of the deal. I’ll research and add that name to my Enlightenment Life List, provided that this person DOES show spiritual Enlightenment.

Plus that name will joyfully be added to an Alphabetized version of this list.

Either way, I will definitely add your nominee’s name to the list of those who have been nominated.

In this Age of Awakening, millions of people can move into Enlightenment, and do it with Age of Awakening Enlightenment. This Enlightenment Coach is dedicated to doing her part to help.

I’d like to nominate actor/comedian Ed Helms. He starred in the US version of the show The Office. I am interested because in the interviews I have seen of him recently he seems so normal.

  2. 2502
    Rose Rosetree says:

    Thanks for this nomination, KATRIINA.

I’ll go through a bunch at a time, as usual, and when I do this one will be first.

Meanwhile, yes, there’s a great deal to be said for “normal.” 🙂

    Dana K says:

Rose I came to this list today to see if Senator Al Franken was still on it, curious unfortunately due to his presence in the news lately.

I see he is on this list at #217 but not on the alphabetized List. Was he removed from it or perhaps in error never added?

I’m only wondering which it could be since I know some had to be removed. Thanks! Dana

  4. 2504
    Rose Rosetree says:

DANA K, thanks for asking. AL FRANKEN remains on this Enlightenment Life List, and thanks to you I’ve fixed the clerical-type error of not having also put him on the Alphabetized Enlightenment List.

Just read his photo from today, resigning as Senator but still in Enlightenment. Heartbroken, but still in Enlightenment.

    Sean M says:

Hi Rose, I would like to nominate Philip Pullman for the enlightenment list.

He has written many books for children and young adults: mostly a fantasy fiction writer.

  6. 2506
    Sean M says:

I know a good writer does not need to be enlightened to write popular and successful books; I would like to know as I am curious and a fan of his storytelling.

I tried to find the most recent picture I could and this one in the link below seems fine

Thanks, SEAN M. All the best to you and yours, as well.

I do aim to catch up with nominations here by the end of the year….

Okay, let’s wrap up assessing your nominees in 2017… while it’s still 2017.

Many of you Blog-Buddies have come forth to congratulate MANDEEP on moving onto this Enlightenment Life List.

Next day, I made a special blog post celebrating this big deal in the world of RES. You can find it here — and add more comments, folks, if you like.

  20. 2520
    Rose Rosetree says:

Thank you, KATRIINA, for your nomination of performer Ed Helms in Comment #2501. A man who seems “normal”!

Oh dear. Normal? I hope not, as he’s in extreme spiritual addiction. Well, that’s one way to experiment here at Earth School. Not a way I’d recommend, however. Couldn’t be more different from Enlightenment.

  21. 2521
    Rose Rosetree says:

SEAN M, thank you for nominating bestselling author Philip Pullman for my Enlightenment Life List, Comments #2505-2507.

BIG writing talent. Not quite right for this list. He could, however, fit right in nicely if someone is making a list of good people who are experimenting for a while with spiritual shutdown.

  22. 2522
    Rose Rosetree says:

Wowee, we’re all caught up with this Enlightenment Life List for 2017.

Thanks so much for all your nominations and other comments, Blog-Buddies. Wonders await us in 2018.

  23. 2523
    Mike C says:

Hi Rose! I’d like to nominate Stylianos Atteshlis, his work seems to have inspired a lot of love and healing.

  24. 2524
    Rose Rosetree says:

Hi, Mike. 🙂 How wonderful that, early in a new year, you’ve made your first blog post here! (True? Correct me if I’m wrong.)

And, of course, thanks for your nomination. Because I need to open a whole bunch of windows for each nomination, I let a bunch of these nominations accumulate. Please know I’ll get to yours — with glee.

  25. 2525
    Deirdre says:

Hi Rose! I’d like to nominate Krista Tippett, host of the public radio program and podcast On Being. (also awarded the National Humanities Medal by U.S. President Barack Obama).

  26. 2526
    Rose Rosetree says:

Thanks, DEIRDRE. Please know that I batch these up.

Aiming to get to yours and MIKE C’s and others when I’ve got more of a collection to research. That research is going to be fun!

  27. 2527
    Rose Rosetree says:

Offering a warm invitation to you, DEIRDRE and MIKE C. — and to all of you who have previously nominated folks for this Enlightenment Life List…

We’ve just begun a new “Cool Contest,” where you can nominate those very same heroes of yours. Just adding the bits of info requested in the instructions about how to enter the contest. Come check it out!

  28. 2528
    Leo says:

I wanted to nominate Rick Carlisle, coach of The Dallas Mavericks for the Enlightenment Life List. Here is a recent photo. Thanks Rose in advance.–

  29. 2529

Today I was just doing a simple blog post, a Skilled Empath Merge of one of my heroes.

When, surprise! I discovered that he’s in Enlightenment.

Therefore, when I play catch-up with all our great nominations, I’ll also be placing Dr. John McWhorter onto my Enlightenment Life List. 🙂

  30. 2530
    Steve says:

Would you please check again Gurumai, the Leader of the Siddha(R) Yoga path? Here is a recent photograph of her. I know she has been on your Enlightenment Life List, but do you think she still belongs there?

  31. 2531

Alright, today’s the day! The first day in 2018 for me to respond to your nominations, Blog-Buddies. Who will go onto the Enlightenment Life List?

Let’s start with MIKE C’s nomination, in Comment #2323, of Stylianos Atteshlis, whose work has inspired a lot of love and healing. A good reason for nominating, for sure. But what will has aura tell us?

Such a sweet, sweet man. However, energetic literacy reveals him to be in spiritual addiction. Nowhere close to Enlightenment at the time of that photograph you supplied. Feel free to nominate others, MIKE C.

  32. 2532

DEIRDRE, thanks so much for nominating Krista Tippett, host of the public radio program and podcast On Being, your Comment #2525. I’ve heard her show and admired her. Yet it never occurred to me to check her out for my Enlightenment Life List!

Well, pleased to announce… onto that List she goes, DEIRDRE. BTW, this photo of Krista (while not ideal, technically) is a lot easier for aura reading than the one you supplied. Check her out, you Blog-Buddies with Stage 3 Energetic Literacy!

  33. 2533

LEO, it will be fun to research your Comment #2528, nominating Rick Carlisle, coach of The Dallas Mavericks.

Now that more and more of you Blog-Buddies are learning Stage 3 Energetic Literacy, I’m going to sometimes substitute better photos technically for aura reading. (If you take Aura Reading 102, for instance, you’ll learn why the photo submitted was just as bad as the one in the last nomination!)

Anyway, I’m just thrilled. And not only because we’ve got an easier photo now for aura reading Coach Carlisle. LEO, you chose a winner, Enlightenment-wise. Onto my Life List he goes. 🙂

  34. 2534

STEVE, thank you for your inquiry. Usually I don’t re-check nominees for this list, but your concern was well founded. Sadly, I would no longer recommend Gurumai, the leader of the Siddha Yoga® path, and I am removing her from my Enlightenment Life List.

  35. 2535

To end on a joyful note, as per my Comment #2529, I’m adding linguistics expert and all-around eloquent speaker, John McWhorter to the Enlightenment Life List.

  36. 2536
    Ginger says:

    Hooray for the recent additions!

    I’ve got another basketball-related nominee: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

    Here’s a recent photo:

  37. 2537
    Leo says:

I also wanted to add another NBA nomination – Stephen Curry, current phenom for The Warriors.

    He’s a recent picture

  38. 2538

    GINGER and LEO, fun! Thanks!

  39. 2539
    AJ says:

I would love to nominate Ruth Bader Ginsburg for the Enlightenment Life List.

I watched a fantastic interview she did for the Sundance Film Festival. She really impressed me as a human being.

  40. 2540
    AJ says:

I’ve always been a fan of her as a Supreme Court Justice, but it was refreshing to hear her personal perspective on the world.

One surprising thing she discussed with her friendship with the late Antonin Scalia. Even though they were at polar opposite ends of the political spectrum, they still shared a close relationship throughout her career.

  41. 2541
    AJ says:

She explained how political divisions don’t have to drive people apart. Their mutual respect came from how each of them fight hard for what they believe in.

Here is a recent photo from that interview:

  42. 2542

AJ, thanks for another fascinating nomination. It’s going to be fun when I get the next batch of research ready to roll.

Meanwhile, all you aura readers can research away on your own. (As I bet you’ve done already, AJ!)

  43. 2543

Today’s blog post turned up someone else. New! Delightful!

Next time I delve into a batch of nominees, I’ll officially put her on my Enlightenment Life List.

Meanwhile, here’s a post you may enjoy: Aura Reading Robyn Tomlin.

  44. 2544
    Leo says:

I wanted to nominate Professor Richard Weissbourd, a Harvard lecturer on relationships, sex, and gender. I heard him on NPR tonight.

  45. 2545

Sometimes it’s such fun to read the newspaper. Today’s Washington Post had a great big photo of Chuck Schumer, Minority House Leader. I kept meaning to research him properly, since I’d had a hunch when seeing him on the news, confining my perception to “Do Nothing, Stage One Energetic Literacy.”

Today, however, I did have Technique Time available. Soon as I research my latest batch of nominations, on he goes to the Enlightenment Life List.

  46. 2546
    Leo says:

I wanted to nominate Professor Weisbaurd because his voice had a certain aspect to it that I found very intriguing, extremely relaxed and confident while also caring.

I decided to do some aura reading of him, which led to me to submit this nomination 🙂

  47. 2547
    Dana K says:

Last night I watched an introduction to the winter Olympians on Netflix.

First of all, I am absolutely wowed by these athletes, all the injuries, early morning work outs, determination and exertion of will.

  48. 2548
    Dana K says:

I haven’t studied face reading with Rose but all of them are good looking and most of them, essentially just kids in their early 20s.

I’m sure Olympians have always been inspiring but some of the wisdom these kids were spouting just had me wondering if this is a particularly evolved batch….and one speed skater in particular exudes such joy I wanted to nominate him for the enlightenment life list. I’d like to nominate winter Olympian Joey Mantia:

  49. 2549

GINGER, thanks for your nomination in Comment #2536 of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Pretty funny to research the basketball great on the night of the Super Bowl. 😉

Golly, I can see how you had the impression of Enlightenment. However, he’s still got quite a mess at some of his chakra databanks, hidden beneath that haze of well being. Not ready yet for the Enlightenment Life List.

  50. 2550

LEO, you’re adding to my Super Bowl Sunday glee with your nomination in Comment 2537 of Stephen Curry, an up-and-comer for The Warriors.

Your second nomination in a row, scouting someone new for my Enlightenment Life List. Well done!

  51. 2551

AJ, thanks for nominating Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in your Comments 3539-2541. Superb nomination, BTW.

Yes, she belongs on the Enlightenment Life List. To my knowledge, she’s the first Supreme Court Justice in Enlightenment. Wowee!

  52. 2552

Now let’s turn to LEO’s next nominee, in Comment 2544, of Professor Richard Weissbourd. Well, well, very well!

Three of your nominations in a row to win Enlightenment Life List Scouting!

    Well done, LEO!

  53. 2553

DANA K, finishing up today’s Super Bowl Sunday of Enlightenment research, how lovely to see your Comment #2548. Looking forward to researching Winter Olympian Joey Mantia.

Seems to me, he’s doing very well in many respects. But if you check out chakra databanks like his Third Eye Chakra Databank for Connection to Spiritual Source, you’ll see that he’s not in Enlightenment yet.

But keep scouting those cool Olympians, DANA K! You might find one next time. You too, other Blog-Buddies.

  54. 2554
    Leo says:

Hey Rose! I wanted to add another nominee to the list, Esther Peral. She is a psychotherapist that hosts an extremely entertaining podcast about messy human relationships.

    Here’s a link

  55. 2555
    Holly says:

    Hi Rose!
This is my first comment here on the blog. And also anywhere on the world wide web. And also my first nomination. Lots of firsts, yay!

Anyway, I want to nominate Cheryl Strayed for your Enlightenment Life List.

  56. 2556
    Holly says:

I read your post on Heather Havrilesky and immediately clicked on the link to buy her “How to be a Person in the World” book on Amazon.

I scanned the reviews and saw someone had mentioned “Tiny Beautiful Things”. I read “Tiny Beautiful Things” a few years ago and really liked it. I also read “Wild” and saw the movie with Reese Witherspoon.

  57. 2557
    Holly says:

My first impression is that both Heather and Cheryl give practical advice. Since Heather is enlightened, then maybe Cheryl is, too?

    Here is Cheryl’s picture:

    Thank you!

  58. 2558

HOLLY, it’s an honor to have you commenting first anywhere online at this blog. And you chose a great post here, making a wonderful set of comments. Thank you.

As LEO already knows, I’ll get to your nomination and his when a bunch more have piled up. Then I do them all at one fun time. Meanwhile, HOLLY, please keep reading and commenting here. (Just making my day, since I know you.)

  59. 2559
    Leo says:

I wanted to nominated Natalie Morales, an NBC reporter, for The Enlightenment Life List.

I saw a short presentation on TV with her today about The Olympics, and was very impressed!

  60. 2560
    Logan says:

    Hi Rose,

I’d like to nominate Valentina Lisitsa, a pretty popular YouTube pianist. She also performs live throughout Europe. I love her piano play, it’s so calming and perfect for times when I want to put on my headphones and block out background noise on my daily commute.

  61. 2561
    Logan says:

I would also like to nominate Edith Piaf. She was a world famous french singer. I’ve known about her from a young age from my mother’s influence.

She has some amazing videos on youtube. I really admire her very natural expressions as she performs, and her voice is so powerful and elegant!

  62. 2562
    Logan says:

This performance of hers always puts a smile on my face:

  63. 2563

Yes, let’s have new fun with discernment about possibilities about human self-realization and self-actualization!

First nomination in this batch comes from LEO, whose Comment #2554 nominates Esther Peral. She is a psychotherapist who hosts an extremely entertaining podcast about messy human relationships.

LEO, have you been reading these auras before submitting? Because once again you’ve selected someone in
Age of Awakening Enlightenment. Well done!

  64. 2564

HOLLY, thanks for your nomination of Cheryl Strayed in Comments 2555-2557.

She seems like an exceptionally attractive person, energetically. Nowhere close to Enlightenment, though. Not at the time of this photo.

  65. 2565

Back to you LEO, with your nomination in Comment #2559: Natalie Morales, an NBC reporter who is covering the Olympics.

Well, here’s the deal, LEO and fans of LEO. Ms. Morales is actually in spiritual shutdown at the time of this photo. Seems to me. Although in a very adorable manner, to be sure.

  66. 2566

LOGAN, how delightful to have some nominations from you! First off, you’ve nominated the touring concert pianist Valentina Lisitsa.

Such a sweetie! And, guess what, she does belong on my Enlightenment Life List. No wonder you love listening to her. Thanks, LOGAN!

  67. 2567

In addition, LOGAN, you nominated the legendary French chanteuse Edith Piaf. Thanks for your Comments #2561 and 2562.

Oh, LOGAN, I’d call her a performer like Marilyn Monroe, who gave her art everything she’d got, maybe 500%. And yet as a person, it’s as though her aura was hanging together with duct tape and chewing gum.

Oh well, there are always other lifetimes for gaining Enlightenment, as many as we need.

  68. 2568
    Isabella C. says:

Ooh, Esther Perel! I have been absolutely riveted listening to her on the radio! I am going to check out her podcast.

  69. 2569
    Liane says:

Love her or hate her, there is no one quite Dr. Laura Slessinger for cutting through the b.s. and getting to the truth.

All while giving out simple, cut to the chase, personal advice.

I tune in to this radio talkshow host when I’m in the car. She instantly clears up confusion, cuts through smoke screens, tells it like it really is, not what she thinks listeners want to hear.

  70. 2570
    Liane says:

    Precious few warm fuzzies.

Not that I always agree with her (not that I always agree with anyone!), but I appreciate her blunt answers and consistant words of wisdom.

This is a photo from 2016.

  71. 2571
    Leo says:

I’m a big fan ignore Esther Peral. She has a pretty interesting podcast about humans and their relationships!

Sometimes I’ll be watching TV or listening to the radio and someone will strike me with a certain something that leads me to research their aura with Aura Reading Through All Your Senses. If I notice a strong presence of God I’ll nominate them to the list.

  72. 2572
    Leo says:

Going back and reading Natalie Morales’ aura from a better photo, I would concur that she seems to be in spiritual shutdown.
