Deeper Perception Made Practical

Your Path to Enlightenment, does it help to try living from your Higher Self?

Blog-Buddies, with today’s post I’ll make it official that Your Path to Enlightenment is a theme on this blog about Deeper Perception Made Practical. We have, after all, been dancing around this topic for months.

For starters, I’ll share a recent email exchange with Mr. Enlightenment, Jeffrey Chappell.

Unfortunately Jeffrey Chappell is no longer on my Enlightenment Life List, but he was at the time of this blog post.

I had expressed concern to Jeffrey about one of my clients.  Joe had been trying to live from his Higher Self, as described below. And what set him off was what I considered to be a misunderstanding about Jeffrey’s book, Answers from Silence.

This wasn’t just some trivial teensy technical point but a heartfelt attempt, on the part of Joe, to seek Enlightenment. Have you ever sought spiritual or psychic guidance in order to move all the faster towards Enlightenment? That’s what Joe was doing, throwing himself into it with a wallop.

Your comments and stories on this topic are invited, Blog-Buddies. Sharing could help our whole Online Community move faster toward self-realization. Now, here’s my e-dialogue with Mr. Enlightenment.

Trying to live from your Higher Self

As I (Rose Rosetree) wrote to Mr. Enlightenment, JOE’s aura was quite out of whack during a recent session. Turns out, what was going on was this:

Joe loves Answers from Silence. He took from it the message – which I am not sure that you intended, Jeffrey, that the WAY to become spiritually Enlightened is to constantly, in the midst of daily life, keep trying to get information from one’s Higher Self.

My understanding about spiritual evolution, and the message I took from your book, were quite different. I understood you to suggest the following as a path to Enlightenment:

  1. Have your daily human activity and let it be real to you. Care about what you care about.
  2. Have a dedicated spiritual practice that you do for a reasonable amount of time during your day, e.g., 1 hour or less.
  3. Have some limited, dedicated times during your day or week when you sit and ask for Answers from Silence.

What program and message would you really recommend?

Better than outsourcing life to your Higher Self

BTW, with JOE, I did advise him not to divide his mind during regular daily life. It made sense to him. Just changing his focus by hearing this idea, which resonated with him, Joe’s aura was back to normal and much more balanced by the end of his session.

Also, in case this should be relevant, a big part of the work I do with clients, helping them progress in their human lives, is to give feedback when I notice a spiritual addiction.

My new book, Magnetize Money with Energetic Literacy has a lot of information about this. I go to some length as an aura reader clarifying that living in an out-of-balance way, constantly trying to “be spiritual” and “receive guidance” in the midst of activity, does NOT help a person to be more whole.

It can even become an addictive process, a bit like “outsourcing” human life to a guide or to one’s Higher Self. (What I call “energetic subroutines” in the language of aura reading or energetic literacy.)

By contrast, the aura of someone who is spiritually Enlightened works with ALL that person’s faculties – which I call “chakra databanks” – working in a vigorous way and internally balanced.

YOU are like that, to this aura reader, Jeffrey. I’m very interested in how things seem to you from the other side of the great and sparkly divide between those of us who aren’t yet Enlightened and someone like you.

Mr. Enlightenment on “Higher Self boosts” toward Enlightenment

Here was Mr. Enlightenment’s response to my inquiry.

I would really recommend the program you that you recommend! You have hit it exactly on the nose with your steps 1, 2, and 3. In fact, the first question in Mr. Enlightenment Part II is “What practical steps did you take to get enlightened?” and my original answer was going to be this:

1. I lived my life.
2. I meditated as a daily habit.
3. I had dialogues with my Enlightened Self.

…Which is the same as what you said! Kind of freaky!

I also added another step: “When enlightenment came, I yielded.”

I mostly had Enlightened Self dialogues when I was out of balance and needing insight, not as a track running through daily life; and I refer to that fact in the introduction to the book.

Thanks for clarifying things for Joe.

Think I’ve had spiritual anorexia if anything.

Am bit by bit embracing a spiritual way of life, so I don’t think I’ll ever become a spiritual addict, but I wonder if spiritual addiction is very different from fantasy addiction? I never had God on a pedestal but that’s because I’d already put a man up there and I worshipped him devotedly. I completely outsourced my identity when I was in my active addiction.

    So sad thinking about it.

So meditation is a common way to reach Enlightenment?

I tried to start a meditation practice but I got overwhelmed with all the different techniques. I still don’t know what meditation is frankly.

What types of meditation techniques are better for Enlightenment?

PRIMMIE, have I complemented you lately on those gorgeous uppercase “I”s? Sumptuous!

Makes me happy thinking about it. 🙂

ASHLEY, this great question deserves a full post as an answer, so hold the question and congratulate yourself meanwhile.

So funny that you would write a post on this today, the day I was thinking about this exact topic.

I’ve figured lately that I probably had an energetic sub-routine going on where I didn’t feel my emotions, but went to spiritual connection instead. (Not sure if you would agree, maybe I’ll ask in our next session).

Not too shocking that many people end up doing this with the teachings out there today. And the fact that emotions quite often feel super crappy while a clear spiritual connection always feels nice.

It’s very easy to think that you’re doing something right when it feels good all the time. Too bad your emotions end up blowing up in your face when you live that way! You can also forget about people taking you very seriously or accomplishing much in the way of earthly success.

The value of actually feeling your emotions can be a little confusing to sort out when you’ve been living with an energetic sub-routine.

JORDAN, your set of observations is very astute.

To learn more about energetic sub-routines, Blog-Buddies, the best resource is Magnetize Money with Energetic Literacy. Because these hidden ways of outsourcing one’s life do have impact on finances, quality of life, relationships, etc.

I also like your pointing out that identifying and helping to facilitate healing of energetic sub-routines is one purpose of Energy Spirituality.

In the new book, readers are offered a lot of things they can do on their own. But if you’re still concerned about the persistent problems, that’s why professional healers are available. Not as a substitute for your moving forward on your own but as a resource in case you get a bit stuck.

JORDAN, your question has reminded me of a question to ask our Groovy Psychiatrist, with the Contest here:

Remember, everyone, you have a great opportunity to ask Arlene about psychiatry today, as well as the role of psychological healing in contrast to spiritual healing.

I’m going forth to ask a bunch of questions!

Just for fun, JORDAN and Blog-Buddies, I just googled on the term “Energetic Sub-Routine.” So far, on January 16, 2011, how many hits? 51.

This blog and Magnetize Money with Energetic Literacy are the places where it has been mentioned so far. One of those fun terms I got to name because I got there first, ha ha!

Follow that term over the years. It should be fun for us all, as more people develop energetic literacy.
