“Use Your Power of Command for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection” goes on sale today with advance copies. However, the official Publication Date won’t be until January 2, 2012.
Which means what, exactly?
Exclusively available now, through this blog — and, soon, the Rose Rosetree website — this new book will be available. (I’ll let you know when the website lists “Use Your Power of Command.” Then you can read a chapter for free, view FAQs, the usual.) Today, the first copies are available through our order line: 800-345-6665.
- That number is available for tollfree calls in the U.S. and Canada.
- Calling from elsewhere, you’ll receive the same reasonable rates for shipping. And unlike Amazon orders, if there ever is a problem with delivery, just call back and get a real-live person who will make things right.
- Of course, you can order any Rose Rosetree books from that same number.
In today’s post I will share some consumer-type advice for any of you who are wondering which books to get, in which order, for whom. Including during this gift-giving season.
Of course, your self-authority will matter most. However, I realize there are several specialties — e.g., related to the four trademarks, each a distinct development within New Age or deeper perception or personal growth.
Some people go into overwhelm at all those choices. I understand. It’s the flip side of what I go through as a writer. Some days, Blog-Buddies, I feel as though pregnant with quintuplets. About 14 months pregnant.
Over the years I have learned to calm down as a writer: One Christmas poem per year, and publishing one new book. Along with the most balanced life I can manage.
But enough about me and my “pregnancies.” On to how I can help you, from my perspective as somebody pretty familiar with all those books… and how people respond to them. Here come some of the most common questions, then my best answers.
Giving people sessions of Aura Healing or Aura Reading Research
Q. “I would like to give my girlfriend a few sessions with you for Christmas – but she will not go willingly or even half interested. If I push hard enough, I think I can get her to do it.”
A. IMHO, mentioning a session or healer once is plenty. If someone doesn’t feel interested, let it go. Do YOUR own sessions. Your girlfriend has her own path, including the healers (if any) who will be suitable for her.
Here’s a bit of inside info you might find relevant: Although I can’t forbid anyone from giving a session as a gift, it is almost never completely successful, not compared with other sessions.
- Sometimes those giftees call late.
- Most recently, one was stoned on pot, I’m pretty sure. (Although he denied it.)
- People who pay their own way, take their own initiative, may be skeptical but at least they are making more of a commitment for their own healing.
It’s better strategy to give someone a book than to offer to give a session. Then the giftee can read at her own pace. If she’s interested in learning more, or going for a healing session or personal face reading, she’ll be the first one to know.
What’s a good first book for a gift?
Depends on the person you’re helping. If you ARE interested in getting someone a book by Rose Rosetree, it really is better to choose the book, rather than to ask your friend to choose. You also have the advantage of knowing this person. So…
If your friend is into New Age or psychic development or angels or reading about the paranormal, I would definitely start with “Use Your Power of Command for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection.”
If your friend is pretty conservative about personal development, or not especially interested in anything counter-culture, I would recommend “Read People Deeper” because it is a combination of Body Language + Face Reading + Auras.
If your friend is strongly identified with a mainstream religion, such as a form of Christianity, the best choice is “Let Today Be a Holiday: 365 Ways to Co-Create with God.”
If you suspect your friend has a spiritual addiction, there are two top choices: “Let Today Be a Holiday” and “Magnetize Money with Energetic Literacy.” The former is better if your friend is a serious believer in Law of Attraction or The Secret. The latter is better if your friend hates the word “God.” (Which is used somewhat often in the page-a-day book about getting a human life.)
If your friend enjoys fiction, hooray! So glad there are some of us left in this world! My coming-of-age story, “The Roar of the Huntids” is an especially good choice for folks who like social satire or are sensitive or are spiritual seekers. Warning: Politicial and religious satire are defnite themes, so avoid giving this book as a gift to Fundamentalists or Tea Partiers.
What if you’re pretty sure your friend is an empath?
“Become the Most Important Person in the Room” is the clear choice. One thing I have learned since publishing my second book for empaths is that this particular how-to is very helpful for Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs) as well as empaths. HSPs are more numerous, as you may know: 1 in 5 people, in contrast to empaths who are 1 in 4 HSPs, or 1 in 20 people.
If you’re feeling really generous, however, consider adding the more advanced book for empaths. Sure, I published it first. Hey, you’d think I studied with Merlin once upon a time, right? (The teacher who was said to grow younger each year.)
“Empowered by Empathy” is available in print as well as being an audiobook. Being my only audiobook, this title is also an excellent choice for friends of yours who don’t really do much reading. How portable the audiobook! How user friendly! Plus that book is read by two empaths, classical music broadcaster (and mega-talented, skilled empath) Marilyn Cooley and me.
How about shopping for a friend who’s a psychotherapist?
Choose the gift that will make you seem least crazy, of course.
Actually, you have two clear choices.
- If you think your friend might be an empath, go for “Empowered by Empathy.”
Partly because one of the back cover reviews is from a clinical psychologist. Mostly because the approach is so radically different from what your friend may use now to help clients who are empaths. And this book has a stronger theory base than the more practical “Become the Most Important Person in the Room.”
By letting your friend know about this book, you may be helping the therapist to help many, many clients. A gift that could go on giving. (Of course, any therapist or healer or physician is invited to contact me to actually make my books available in the office. I do offer a discount, comparable to a bookstore’s discount, so just email me for details: Rose atttt Rose-Rosetree.com.)
- If your friend is open-minded — not necessarily a qualification for becoming a clinical psychologist, LCSW, school counselor, etc. — then consider the gift of “Cut Cords of Attachment.”
Hey, this one has back cover reviews from TWO clinical psychologists!
Therapists spend a whole lot of time helping clients to work with distress on the level of STUFF. Cords of attachment are veritable STUFF factories. By moving out STUFF, there is much more clarity on the level of the client’s subconscious mind.
For years now, I have been doing referrals back and forth with psychologists and psychiatrists. After cords of attachment are cut, clients can progress much faster with the expert help of a trained therapist.
Just to get the idea out: Expansion is happening rapidly with my Energy Spirituality Mentoring Program. Of course, I am very interested in coaching anyone who is seriously interested in this healing specialty. However, I want most to reach out to mental health professionals. In future years, there can be important collaborations. Wait and see!
Which gift would help somebody interested in aura reading?
The smartest first book would actually be “Use Your Power of Command for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection.” Once your friend is over the shock, finding no illustrations of how auras are “supposed” to look, there will be information galore to protect your friend while studying any form of psychic development or energetic literacy.
This how-to can also help your friend to clarify the distinction between pursuing psychic development versus energetic literacy.
Of course, someone who is just drooling with anticipation about reading the human energy field can get definite training from me via a practical book or two. The system of Aura Reading Through All Your Senses(R) has that trademark because it is a really different way to read auras! Anyone, and I mean anyone, can learn through my books on reading auras.
Either of these books would make a fine introduction. The pair would be useful as a set, too:
- “Aura Reading Through All Your Senses” is the international bestseller with over 100 techniques for aura reading, plus thorough demolition of “The Myth About Auras.”
- “Read People Deeper” has two easy techniques for reading auras from regular photographs. (Perhaps the first in any book!) )Plus there are techniques for reading auras of people right in the room. And it’s the first aura reading book to explain how to reach chakra databanks.
This how-to shows 50 practical categories, useful for love relationships, dating, and/or career. You learn which chakra databanks to read for each category, supplemented by face reading and the latest discoveries in reading body language. And I love the illustrations in this book, courtesy of Random House Germany (where “Aura Reading Through All Your Senses” became my first national bestseller).
How about folks interested in face reading?
Currently there is only one choice for a book with the system of Face Reading Secrets(R). That would be “Read People Deeper.”
My other two books on face reading are now out of print, with publication of a completely new edition of “The Power of Face Reading” being planned for 2012. Oh, I am so pregnant!
“Read People Deeper” is, actually, a fine choice for a physiognomy book because many beginners are used to reading body language. So they will enjoy the difference between what they can learn in each practical category via body language versus face reading. And it is perfectly fine to skip the aura reading portions of the book entirely.
I remember a fan email from an African reader who tried doing exactly that. She thought the idea of aura reading was ridiculous. (Paraphrasing her politely.)
However, then she played with the techniques one day and found she was really, really good at reading auras. Go figure!
