Deeper Perception Made Practical

Aura Reading on Pointe with Ballerina Maria Tallchief

Best Celebrity Aura Readings

Aura reading has so many uses. One of my favorite is to inspire and celebrate.

So let’s praise one of America’s greatest artists, in a discipline where it is perfectly normal for the women to walk around on tiptoe. No tentative tiptoeing, either, but movement so boldly that one forgets that a grown woman’s weight may balance just on one big toe.

Maria Tallchief, whose famous incarnation ended on April 11, 2013, was one extraordinary ballerina. Among her achievements, this Kennedy Center Honoree was the lead dancer and (for a while) the wife to George Balanchine. Maria’s roles for his new ballets included dancing as the Sugar Plum Fairy in “The Nutcracker.”

This I learned from “The Washington Post,” which quoted the dancer’s own perspective about another way that that she set precedents:

“Above all, I wanted to be appreciated as a prima ballerina who happened to be a Native American, never as someone who was an American Indian ballerina.”

I agree. Yet Maria Tallchief also deserves to be appreciated as a glorious dancer of Native American ancestry.

All of us deserve to be appreciated for our distinctive qualities, not just our roots. Her greatness as a ballerina shows so clearly with a comparison aura reading.

Today’s comparison aura reading of Maria Tallchief

To celebrate the late dancer, I’ll use a method like the one developed for Aura Readings for Academy Award Nominees in 2013. Chakra databanks in two photographs will be compared.

In keeping with my new policy about meticulously honoring photo copyrights, I no longer provide links to pictures saved on services like Photobucket. Your best choice for being able to see the photo referred to in a blog post is to stay current, maybe check in at this blog once a week or more often. When reading an older article, you may not be able to find the same photo I used originally. Seek here for a photograph.

Our usual “Big Secret” about aura photos

Not for the first time, I’m grateful that for anyone with Stage Three Energetic Literacy, every photograph is an aura photo.

So let’s research one chakra databank at a time of this soulful artist.

Aura Reading Databank at the Root Chakra for Presence in the Room

Reading Maria Tallchief as herself

Fills the room plus two inches. Maria Tallchief can live, at will, in a magical world. There’s a celestial sparkle to the air, the earth, the water, the sun, the sky, all the rest.

You could call this “Applied mysticism.” And that version of human life is where she lives at the time of this photograph.

It seems clear to me, researching this chakra databank, that Maria Tallchief doesn’t always live this way. Posing for this photo, flashing her fabulously open smile, Maria Tallchief can easily move herself energetically into the performer’s world of wonder, a gift she has for shifting into happiness.

Also this ability to shift into joy, at will, was a key feature of her distinctive auric modeling as a performer. All of us teach others different ways to be.

In that sense, each of us becomes a performer when we have contact with other people. Our auric modeling teaches others, and can also help us to attract wealth, success, and prosperity.

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as Prima Ballerina

Out to the moon. The dancer is doing a sacred ceremony, expressing and balancing energies of the earth. This ceremony has the feeling of a shamanic ceremony, in the guise of a ballet dance.

Maria Tallchief tells a story, expressing a human way to be… in the presence of the Divine in all things.

Her human audience, interestingly, does not matter especially for the space she is holding during the dance. Audience members attend more like members of a clan who sit around the campfire during a sacred ceremony meant to bring healing to earth.

Wow! Aura reading sure can surprise a person. This person.

Outer forms, labels, and expectations that we have at Earth School provide scant clues to the energies of each very private, free willish, human individual. We are free to travel in consciousness at will, to position our energies without even trying, to express the greatest gifts of our ancestors, to communicate in ways shaped by the long history of a soul across incarnations.

Through movements that might be repeated by another person, or dancer, we can freely enact our distinctive priorities.

Like Maria Tallchief we can, each of us, dance our growth path of personal development, our search for Enlightenment, or merely what feels natural and right energetically in the moment.

How many ballerinas have danced Swan Lake since Maria Tallchief did Ballanchine’s dance for the first time? Has anyone else danced it with this sacred subtext?

Who else would have to, ever? This particular perfection is accomplished, as the unique contribution of Maria Tallchief.

Aura Reading Databank at the Belly Chakra for Flow of Creativity

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as herself

40 miles. Once Maria gets started at doing something creative, there’s no stopping her.

What helps? The particular way she inhabits her body. Creativity flows because Maria’s chronological age may be octogenarian, but inwardly she feels about 14 years old.

Creativity flows in an interesting way for Maria Tallchief. She is so deeply grounded into earth, so very present.

Incidentally, to me, this is part of Maria Tallchief’s greatness with the Native American heritage. It’s in her bones, her blood, her senses — a connection with earth that comes automatically.

As this very embodied, earth-splendid, woman… creativity is done here on earth. Her personal flow feels supported by earth energies. Once she has chosen direction for that flow, nothing stops her.

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as Prima Ballerina

15 feet. Steadiness. Creativity is used to keep herself steady, balanced, meeting all the technical requirements of a role.

This makes sense especially given context of the previous chakra databank.

Personal creativity is not Maria Tallchief’s role in this performance. She is enacting a spiritual ceremony through the dance, which is entirely different from expressing her personal human self.

Aura Reading Databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra for Problem Solving

17 feet. Tightly focused concentration.

Glamorous or not, art does mean solving problems. That’s not all it means. Nonetheless a dancer, or serious practitioner of any art form, cannot shirk problems.

Greatness includes a stick-to-it-iveness for tweaking, repairing, contradicting, connecting, improving.

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as herself

18 feet. A childlike creativity for solving problems still works for Maria Tallchief.

Best case, she has so much fun playing with the different ways to solve a problem. Innocence and curiosity guide her. Each thought or action glides in a sequence, a flow done with confidence. If one approach doesn’t work out, this exceptionally creative woman will happily try something else.

Some STUFF does reside in this chakra databank, though.

For those of you readers new to Rosetree Energy Spirituality, “STUFF” is my technical term for stored emotional and energetic debris at the astral level, corresponding to the subconscious mind. STUFF is very real. However, there are also many real-life skills like cord cutting, removing psychic coercion, etc. So my motto in Rosetree Energy Spirituality goes, “STUFF can always, always, always be healed.”

STUFF around solving problems relates to being opposed, ignored, interrupted, or contradicted. Any of these behaviors will turn off Maria Tallchief’s problem-solving spigot.

She won’t play with others who treat her disrespectfully. Golly, if Maria Tallchief still were alive, and interested in moving forward on a path of personal development, how I would love to facilitate cutting her cord of attachment to her temperamental ex-husband George Ballanchine!

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as Prima Ballerina

4 feet. Such intense focus, it almost reminds me of a male incarnation more than a female one. Maria Tallchief demands problem solving, with vigilance.

Expecting perfection, demanding it, relentlessly…

Aura Reading Databank at the Heart Chakra for Emotional Honesty

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as herself

45 feet. No frills.

Maria Tallchief does emotional honesty as someone with a natural, keen, appreciation of objective reality.

Ever-deeper perceptiveness isn’t her goal, seems to me. In fact, I doubt that Maria Tallchief would have been interested in this blog, except that she might have celebrated how often I aim to balance Deeper Perception with acknowledging objective reality.

Because Maria Tallchief really pays attention to what people say and do. That helps her to honestly assess how she feels about various people, or assess her own behavior.

Nothing tortured or tormented about these emotions, however. This woman was a prima ballerina, not a temperamental opera singer. She kept better balance than most human anythings.

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as Prima Ballerina

Fills the room plus 2 inches. Simplicity is the signature quality to this chakra databank.

Maria Tallchief is simply herself. Herself dancing.

Nothing gets in the way.

Any dancer performs naked, really. Every part of the body, every movement totally exposed.

Aura Reading Databank at the Third Eye Chakra for Connection to Spiritual Source

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as herself

27 feet. A strong, shimmering, dependable connection to Spiritual Source is sustaining for Maria Tallchief.

God is as normal, to her consciousness, as is seeing a tree through the window of your home.

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as Prima Ballerina

To the moon. Maria Tallchief is un-self-consciously co-creating with God. The emphasis is on her, and the human part.

Yet the connection is crystal clear, easy, habitual.

Aura Reading Databank at the High Chakra for Soul Thrill

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as herself

40 feet. Soulful living is a habit for Maria Tallchief. She knows how to do what she likes, notice what she likes, like or dislike as she sees fit.

Plenty of dings and dents show up in this chakra databank, however.

Seems to me, at the time of this (aura) photo, Maria is able to summon up a way of being connected to her amazing career. Yet she doesn’t usually live in the glory days. And her soul thrill normally might be quite different.

The best image that occurs to me for conveying her current soul thrill expression, at the time of this photo: It’s like an umbrella that’s usually kept quite closed. But it’s normal and natural to open it up, on occasion. That’s what Maria Tallchief is doing right now, how she’s positioned in consciousness.

After all, this photograph shows her being honored for that extraordinary career as a legendary ballerina.

Reading Maria Tallchief’s aura as Prima Ballerina

40 feet. How sweet it feels, being able to use her body this way! Focus is required, and the dancer is aware of pressure to some degree, performance pressure.

Yet ballet is a graced area of life for her. So Maria Tallchief’s soul expresses strongly, clearly, with ease and flow and grace.

Within this gorgeous chakra databank, I do notice some minor STUFF. Of the “I’ll show them” variety.

In a thoroughly human way, Maria is using her talent and skill to compensate for times that people have hurt her feelings, not appreciated her, etc.

Mostly the soul expression has that freedom, however. She is in her glory.

Thanks, Rose, this is both fascinating and helpful. (I can imagine that cord you mention!!)

Thanks, CURIOUS AS EVER. Isn’t it a relief that neither of us has had to marry George Ballanchine?

    His great genius notwithstanding…. LOL

Thank you, Rose, for this. I always learn something from your aura readings, but as I dance is very special to me, I found this one particularly touching.

SYLVIA, thank you. If I might ask, can you share anything here at the blog about how a dancer must totally put herself out there, in objective reality, when performing?

Has that been part of your experience? Or any of you other Blog-Buddies?

I think that’s important in the context of appreciating Maria Tallchief, but also it’s just plain fascinating… especially for those of us who are not especially strong at dancing this lifetime.

Offhand, I can’t think of another art form where a person is so totally viewed, judged, vulnerable.

Hi Rose, Thanks for this interesting feature on Maria Tallchief. I would not have heard of her had it not been for your insightful post regarding her aura as it related to her professional and personal life.

How sweet of you to ask, Rose. Dancers do really put themselves out there in objective reality, but that isn’t just limited to the moment of performance. Dancers spend far more time in studio practicing than anywhere else (I’ve definitely spent thousands of hours in a sweaty leotard), and I think that’s where a particular relationship to objective reality while dancing develops. You spend countless hours clad in a leotard and tights in a room with mirrors. You are always looking at the mirror to gauge the body lines and shapes you are crafting, as they are basis of your art. It’s not like you get to train in sweatpants and then change into body-hugging clothes for the performances. When I was studying modern dance the American Dance Festival, I had one legendary instructor who was in her 70s at the time she was teaching me. She showed up everyday in a unitard so that we could see what she wanted us to do with our bodies—from large, expansive moves to small gestures—and there was no way we could show up to studio in anything that wasn’t lycra. That was the place where I felt most judged and vulnerable—when I was being evaluated in class by an incredibly knowing eye.

I’m quite accustomed to looking for body lines, and in fact, feel that dance performances are much less exposed situations than a studio. Costumes can be colorful, interesting on their own, and generally add a layer of cover (even in ballet). After practicing with a group for some time, seeing everyone in a dress rehearsal was a revelation: I was always amazed how costumes could cover up a multitude of flaws that had seemed glaring in a leotard.

What a beautiful reading, Rose. Thank you so much. I found myself identifying with Maria while reading this. Since I was a child I had always wanted to be a ballerina. In my dreams, all my life, when I feel especially happy and free those emotions are expressed in my dreams and imagination as dancing as an expression of that inner joy and freedom. I am even free of gravity and simply jumping and twirling high and light as air.

We were too poor for me to ever have taken lessons in dance so I lived that life in my imagination and dreams only, until college. In college, while I was too old to take up ballet, my first love, I was able to take classes in Modern Dance. And, my complete love of the art form was recognized by our 67 year old teacher. She often put me in the front of the group to lead us through the routines we were learning. She was a lot like your teacher, Sylvia. She wore the unitard and in the first class she ran, jumped high, and collapsed on the floor to our horror and gasps. She did that only to demonstrate the graceful recovery from a horrible fall. What a wonderful lesson for life that was.

What wonderful comments, SUZANNE, SEEKER OF HEAVEN, SYLVIA and JILL ERIN. Thank you so much.

Aura reading can really enliven a particular dancer’s special excellence.

This is so fascinating… you can never guess what someone’s *really* doing with their consciousness! How many people watching this ballerina knew what they were really witnessing?

The biggest impact this aura reading had on me was an a-ha moment that we don’t have to all be the same or be what is expected of us. To have a highly successful life, a ballerina like Maria Tallchief doesn’t have to be just what you might imagine a ballerina would be like on the inside. We are totally free to do whatever we want with our consciousness. And thank God, because if we weren’t, we wouldn’t have amazingly unique people like Maria Tallchief, and like each of us.

Sylvia and Jill, I found your comments so fascinating. I always wanted to be a ballerina when I was young and admired dancers so much, but any kind of trained dancing was not… where I was talented. (Nice way of saying it ;))

Dancing as an art form has always been so mysterious to me. How do they do it??? I can relate to athletes, but dancers, omg. It’s so far and away from what my own untrained body feels capable of that it’s shocking. And inspiring.

Sylvia, your comment was really a “WOW” comment for me. Wow!!!! I never knew those things about dancing. Now I have an even deeper respect for dance and dancers. Thank you.

So, Maria Tallchief had the ability to, at will, shift her perception of the world to sparkle and wonder but she didn’t live there all the time? Why not? Because it’s hard to maintain that state?

  13. 13

Blog-Buddies, of course, the post I promised you in Comment 6 has gone live. This is a very unusual post as I was able to bring in a technique that could completely be taught in the context of a simple blog post.

I called it, “Bring Active Energy of Safety into society, free as sunshine” — and it works, as you can discover for yourself.

Personally, I find it tragically stupid that American media find it necessary to create 24/7 news around terrorist attacks.

Personally, I’m on a news fast until this “so-important?” news coverage blows over.

Beyond that, what could I actively do? Create the gift of this post for you to have and share with your friends:

Whenever you use this technique, you raise vibrations for yourself and others.

JORDAN, love your Comment 12. My favorite part:

  15. 15

M., what a great question in your Comment 13.

Each of us has gifts of the soul. For instance, every one of your hundreds of chakra databanks contains a distinctive gift of your soul. Just as good as Maria Tallchief’s, Einstein’s, Buddha’s, you name the hero!

What keeps us from living those gifts fully?

STUFF, stuck at the psychic level of auras, corresponding to your subconscious mind.

While it is perfectly admirable to strive, with the conscious mind, to maintain a good appearance. Or to make good choices….

This is work done with the conscious mind, or maybe the will.

Neither of which can compensate for what is going on subconsciously with STUFF.

  16. 16

Continuing, M., seems to me that when an artist like Maria Tallchief accomplishes something amazing…

That can happen because of a kind of purity.

Even before Enlightenment, a person can incarnate with a kind of subconscious protection. So that even when loads of STUFF is going on subconsciously and at the astral level, that individual has a kind of sanctuary, or STUFF-FREE-ZONE, related to the area of talent.

  17. 17

One example of this, M., is Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

I have read her aura from photos. She was, meaning no disrespect, one holy mess. Along with the sweetness and light, she carried some very upsetting, horrible STUFF at a subconscious level.

That didn’t prevent her being a saint. Her STUFF caused personal suffering — as came out publicly in the posthumous publication of some personal writing she did. However, she still earned that canonization, along with some glorious karma.

I have had the privilege of doing aura reading research with a client, GLADYS, who had some personal interactions with Mother Teresa in India.

I used a technique to do aura reading of Mother Teresa, as stored in GLADYS’s subconscious mind.

Some of you Blog-Buddies know, I call this “Pulling out an energetic hologram” and then reading chakra databanks. Fairly often I do this in sessions, but not with the likes of Mother Teresa.)

It was awe-inspiring, what happened to Mother Teresa’s aura as she was helping GLADYS.

Grace is in the lives of each of us. When we help others, or do a chosen art form, these are peak experiences of a sort. You could call them “Peak experiences of free will.”

In such moments we live our full potential.

In my work with Enlightenment Coaching, I aim to help people progress rapidly in personal development, to gain Householder Enlightenment, to live that full potential in everyday life.

Only a state of consciousness will maintain that, M. Neither effort nor pretending nor wishing nor even praying. I believe we must take responsibility for our own lives, and aura-level energies, to clean up the STUFF and fill up with what expresses our soul.

Haven’t you been doing that all along? Or whatever path is your path to move forward with personal development.

  18. 18
    M. says:

Oh, she could only move into it while she was performing! I misinterpreted the reading; I thought it meant that she had a gift for turning it on in her daily life. Thanks!

  19. 19

    M., that’s an important distinction.

A general point that may be useful here:

This blog offers skill sets for Energetic Literacy. When I facilitate aura reading, it is about a particular person at the time of the photograph… or if we were in person, M., while we were together and I were doing aura reading research.

Do you realize how very different that is from most aura reading, when that is pursued as a psychic reading or a form of psychic development?

Commonly (though not done at this blog), a psychic will read someone’s aura and say, “GLADYS has this gift always.” Or “In the Akashic Records, it is written that GLADYS will have this gift.”

Instead, I am always very specific when using skills of Energetic Literacy. It is about reading one person at a particular time, and not reading EVERYTHING about that person, either.

    Make sense?
