- If you are a fan of one or more of my books and you would like to see the pioneering work that I do move out more strongly into the world.
- Or you like to watch sacred co-creation in a very human form.
- Or you are a writer yourself and wonder what a next step could be, with integrity, in foreign editions of your books
Is here the right place to share the following hot-off-the-presses information? If not here, where?
Customized Content, RES Books. True Confession
I am a total mushball about customized content, not merely foreign translations. Maybe it would make zero sense to them how I have longed for this, and how this Foreign Rights Contract #40 means more to me than #2, for the national bestseller with Random House Germany.
My heart melts at the prospect of sharing my work, really sharing it properly. It’s not for nothing that I was educated for eight years at the United Nations International School.
So I don’t act like a businesslike agent. I can’t help it! Don’t want to help it, either.
I am just plain thrilled. So here comes today’s share. One of the amazing things that happened during my miracle-filled summer of 2013, now moving out more strongly into the world.
Customized Content, RES Books. Why Bother?
Because a custom edition is not just an imported book. A true custom edition is the latest being offered in the field of Rosetree Energy Spirituality (RES).
Customized Content, RES Books. Lithuania Leads
Ingas Lithuanian face goes on the cover. Inside the book? Lovely Inga is pictured along with many other Lithuanians in the Cast of Characters.
The NEW Power of Face Reading contains photos of this Cast of Characters near the front. Then the rest of the book often refers to them by name. This helps readers learn how to identify different facial characteristics.
The how-to interprets these items of face reading data according to the system of Face Reading Secrets(R).
So this Lithuanian book contains six photos of Lithuanian faces mixed in with the diverse group of 20 Americans.
References within the book were changed to include our Lithuanian characters, e.g., “Moderate Eyelid Fullness looks like a small rim encircling the half-circle of an upper eyelid. See Inga.
Which means what? Moderate Eyelid Fullness indicates talent for gauging appropriate intimacy in a love relationship, neither too close nor too independent.
Clearly, in Lithuania There Is More than One Inga
Because my editor is a different person from the Inga whose photo graces the cover of the Lithuanian edition of The NEW Power of Face Reading.
It was such a delight, collaborating with Inga Mig?nait?, my editor at Alma Littera. I asked Inga for a comment about what it was like for her, making this a true Lithuanian book and not just a translated book.
“Such a friendly and fruitful collaboration! It is really rare for a foreign editor to not only communicate with the author personallybut also to adapt and enrich the book with new material, especially done by the author, for that particular edition.
“It gives us a chance to prepare the book in the best way for our readers.”
