Today let’s follow up on a very detailed article about  differences between hypnosis and meditation. Loaded with comments and discussion.

Blog-Buddies, so far we have explored major differences. Beginning to clarify the many hidden confusions. Causing people to move awareness in a different direction than they were promised. Sadly, not the results they were promised.

Now let’s take a consumer approach to these differences.

Consumer smarts about hypnosis and meditation? If you’d like to get results!

The kind of personal growth you desire… doesn’t just happen.

Choosing Past-Life Regression. Two Shocker

Don’t be afraid to comment below about today’s post. And with articles that follow in the upcoming series of articles. Don’t be shy about asking questions or even supplying a strongly felt rant.

Since the purpose of this blog is education, not propaganda. A summary of my background can be found at the end of today’s article.

Upfront, I give you fair warning. Today’s post will contain two shockers.

Choosing Past-Life Regression. Shocker #1

Contrary to what you may have been told. Or promised….

Hypnotism does not produce spiritual development.

Sorry.

Hypnosis can do a fine job at solving problems. Depending on your belief system, you may attribute this to spiritual growth or Divine help. That includes group hypnosis, which is so commonly done in a house of worship.

Why No Significant Spiritual Growth?

First of all, let’s get clear on this difference. Process is different from content:

PROCESS is what you’re doing.

  • What happens to your consciousness.
  • How your aura does or doesn’t change.
  • Improvement to your personal growth is also about process.

CONTENT is information.

  • Ideas about improvement to your personal growth.
  • Ideals about your relationship with God.
  • What you wish would happen in reality.

Choosing Past-Life Regression, Understand This

Choosing Past-Life Regression, know that it’s much more than hypnotism. And the method of Past-Life Regression matters a great deal.  So let’s distinguish CONTENT from PROCESS.

Hypnosis can give you you suggestions about evolving spiritually. Making contact with the Divine. Improving your ability to access your Higher Self. Receiving angelic guidance. CONTENT.

Your hypnosis script — the suggestions and post-hypnotic suggestions given to you while you are in the altered state of hypnosis — may include ideas about connecting with the Divine or angels or wisdom. These can be powerful suggestions that draw upon what you have already experienced spiritually. CONTENT.

However, your vibrations are not being raised through hypnosis. Nor are you developing greater ability to connect to Spiritual Source while awake. And not in hypnosis or self-hypnosis. Real spiritual growth would require PROCESS.

Essentially, hypnosis offers a feel-good experience. Where the CONTENT — or ideas or images — is all about spiritual growth. But the nervous system, the mind-body-spirit system, is not learning how to function in a way that is more like meditation.

Therefore, in theory, meditation is a better preparation for spiritual development. Enlightenment requires that a person is able to make contact with the Divine while in the waking state. PROCESS.

But bigger progress for spiritual evolution? Check out the impact of Soul Energy Awakening Hypnosis (SEAH). This removes a kind of STUFF in auras that can’t be removed any other way. Then you get PUT-IN that helps you to evolve spiritually. Just ask for that when we’re in session. And see what a difference SEAH makes. Hint:  PROCESS.

Choosing Past-Life Regression. Shocker #2

Meditation Doesn’t Directly Solve Human Problems

Can there meditation provide indirect help for problem solving?

However, for many technical reasons, here’s my opinion. As a meditation teacher who worked directly with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Teaching TM from 1970. Until I resigned in 1986. And moved forward to offering Rosetree Energy Spirituality (RES).

Meditation is not terribly effective at solving problems. At least when compared to the past-life regression oomph of Soul Energy Awakening Hypnosis.

Yet meditation teachers may sell. And super-sell! The promise of solving problems.

Here’s where it gets tricky. Many religious and spiritual leaders actually offer hypnotism. Aiming for spiritual help. Specifically, providing “Meditation” CDs that technically induce hypnotism. PROCESS.

But selling the CONTENT, which is spiritual sweetness and light.

Folks don’t do this on purpose. Confusion is rife among both meditation teachers and hypnotists. How can clients and consumers possibly get the differences straight? I’m here to help.

Questions, anyone?

Wow! How wonderful to hear this sort of clarification.

As with much of life, there is a bit of a tendency to want the single solution that solves every problem – the big, overarching quick fix.

It’s much more realistic and relaxing to understand that one approach works one way and another another.

Very very fascinating Rose. I am learning alot here, and you explain it really well, make it easy to digest (which only comes when you know the subject backwards forwards and sideways). Please sir…more!

Everything that you said, Rose, in the section “Hypnotism does not produce spiritual development” is starting to make sense to me.

This might explain why my experience in churches (group hypnosis) didn’t do much for me. Maybe, even then, I was looking for the divine – an experience of the divine.

Rather than words about, or content about, the divine.

This particularly clicked with me: “However, your vibrations are not being raised through hypnosis. Nor are you developing greater ability to connect to Spiritual Source while in the waking state of consciousness.”

Thanks so much for explaining this topic further. Your candor is refreshing!

(Revealing the man behind the curtain, moohahaha.)

Perhaps I see better why the qi gong master’s meditation sessions were really hypnosis, and why I was so frustrated that we reached only the astral level: He doesn’t believe in a Divine level, or does not think it is attainable. Bosh, I say! 🙂

    Can’t wait to read more.

Great article, Rose. What you didn’t mention here was that guided prayer and guided meditation are both forms of hypnosis – something as you mention many spiritual leaders and churches don’t even recognize.

In other words, they are not spiritual practices and unless the teacher is skilled, don’t solve problems either. A brief bit of feel-good at best.

That was the wake-up for me on the first article.
