Consciousness Lifestyles — let’s continue to explore what they mean in everyday life.

Today’s profile of Rand Paul fits into a multi-part series of articles about how people get in the habit of positioning consciousness.

No mere abstraction, Consciousness Lifestyle creates big consequences for how we live, how rapidly we evolve, the friends we make… even the version of reality that we live in.

Consciousness Lifestyle #2 on our list is Spiritual Addiction.

Not that anyone probably aims for this Conscious Lifestyle. Yet an estimated 45% of Americans have slipped into Spiritual Addiction, inadvertently or not.

One public figure in this category is Rand Paul. I found him for today’s blog post by going onto Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people of 2013. Under “Leaders,” the politician scores as #1.

At least he’s a #1 pick for Time Magazine’s list. Certainly not for me. However, I’ll attempt to leave my personal sentiments ( and political leanings) aside for this article.

For background, you may know that Rand Paul is a libertarian who is the first Republican to seriously assemble a political network in all 50 states, aiming to run for president in 2016.

Prepare to explore an aura with Consciousness Lifestyle 2, Spiritual Addiction

We’ll use the photo at this aura reading link for Rand Paul.

I’ll be using a technique for aura reading from photos that you can learn from my how-to Read People Deeper.

You can also learn the system of Aura Reading Through All Your Senses(R) from my book by that name (minus the trademark).

There are over 100 practical techniques, in keeping with the book’s subtitle, Celestial Perception Made Practical.

Reading auras from photos isn’t included, but plenty else is. This how-to provides a comprehensive training that’s perfect for beginners.

Reading auras from regular photographs is just a slightly more advanced skill, almost ridiculously easy. Remember, when you have skills at energetic literacy, every photo is an aura photo.

Sure enough, at the Pathways Natural Living Expo last Sunday, a sweet seeker of truth approached my booth, proudly waving her colorful aura photo.

The fact remains: Anyone with Stage Three Energetic Literacy can provide loads more detail than those aura pictures. Details both interesting and accurate! You can learn this kind of information in person or from a regular photograph.

What makes the difference? Developing skills for Energetic Literacy, that’s all. To an aura reader with solid skills, every photo is an aura photo.

Aura Reading Databank at the Root Chakra for Making Contact with Physical Reality

4 inches. Rock-solid beliefs.

Quick commonsense quiz for your Blog-Buddies. Do you walk with your feet or your head?

Right away, there’s a clue about Spiritual Addiction. At the time of this photograph, Rand Paul doesn’t experience physical life on earth so much as he lives in a beautiful world of theory. Ideas are substituted for reality.

Rene Magritte’s famous painting of a pipe was captioned right on the canvas, “Ceci n’est pas une pipe.” Meaning “This is not a pipe.”

I love Magritte’s clever Surrealist paintings. Yet people often live with similar distortions.

Unfortunately they’re not living as artists so much as living in a dreamworld.

Such is the connection with life itself, subconsciously, for folks who have the Consciousness Lifestyle of Spiritual Addiction.

The contents of that dream, and ideals, may vary a great deal.

In terms of energy dynamics, Spiritual Addiction is a pattern involving many, many chakra databanks. Part of that pattern is just what Rand Paul shows at this Root Chakra Databank.

Aura Reading Databank at the Heart Chakra for Emotional Growth

2 inches. Stingy. Yes, emotionally stingy. That’s the simplest way to describe the quality of Rand Paul’s showing at this Heart Chakra Databank.

This one is designed to support personal growth regarding emotional life. It’s quite shut down in his case. Not cold-hearted so much as lukewarm-hearted.

Related to his tepid interest in how people feel emotionally, Rand Paul’s learning about emotional life is negligible. (At least at the time of this photograph.)

Subconsciously the quality of this Heart Chakra Databank is distinctively personal and meaningful for everyone. Rand Paul’s version fits the pattern of having scant emotional growth, which is typical of anyone with the Consciousness Lifestyle of Spiritual Addiction.

Ironically, many folks in Spiritual Addiction believe in spiritual growth. Passionately believe, and strive. And they’re convinced that the spiritual path they are on delivers enormous spiritual growth.

This is one of the interesting illusions of the  Consciousness Lifestyle of Spiritual Addiction.

Despite conscious ideas and ideals, the energetic and subconscious truth can be a sharp contrast.

Beautiful ideals, held consciously, do not change the reality of what is going on (or not going on) subconsciously and energetically.

Nor is there any belief system, however perfect, that can turn around a Consciousness Lifestyle.

Aura Reading Databank at the Third Eye Chakra for Connection to Psychic Guidance

Note: I’m including this chakra databank only because this is one of four chakra databanks being used for this series on Consciousness Lifestyle.

I’m definitely not “accusing” Rand Paul of doing psychic anything. Although the idea of a psychic libertarian does strike me as pretty comical.

Just for fun, I will google  the term  “Psychic Libertarian.”

Wow, I got only 26 results! Golly, I didn’t even know it was possible these days to get that small number of hits about anything. LOL.

Okay, now back to researching this Third Eye Chakra Databank about Connection to Psychic Guidance…

Out to the moon.  (“Ooops,” says Rose. And also I’m thinking, “I’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do.”)

Back to the quality of this chakra databank: Rand Paul is enamored of his familiar way of connecting to astral frequencies.

To his conscious mind, it probably is interpreted as feeling wisdom, or seeking inspiration to supports him, or connecting to all the people who really understand the sacred and pristine beauty of his belief system.

However this feels to him, aura reading suggests that Rand Paul is very involved in drawing strength from the “Divine.”

At least he consciously believes he is drawing strength from his highest source of inspiration.

All too often, a person’s highest source of inspiration is at an astral frequency, nowhere close to God or Divine Beings like Jesus or Buddha.

And this would be the case for Rand Paul at the time of this photograph. Very often, a Spiritual Addiction develops when people pursue something quite different: A fascination for psychic phenomena, like seeking guidance from spirits.

Positioning consciousness often at astral frequencies, for whatever reason, will cause a person to move into Spiritual Addiction.

Some of you Blog-Buddies may have read my how-to that explains how to make real-life money and overcome magical thinking that can lead to Spiritual Addiction. For Magnetize Money with Energetic Literacy, I coined the term “The Romance of the Astral.”

Ooh, let’s google that term too, just for fun.

Today “The Romance of the Astral” scores just seven hits on google. Guess that meme is even less popular, so far, than “Psychic libertarian.” Well, check back in 10 years, Blog-Buddies. 😉

You may know that many of the terms I have introduced, related to my books and trademarked systems, now have millions of google hits.

Bottom line: Since The Shift into the Age of Energy, it is easy for any person, idealistically pursuing any belief system, to lose contact with reality.

Then that seeker of truth can slide into a relationship with energy that feels sacred but isn’t necessarily connected strongly to the Divine. Quite unintentionally, for a time, that person loses a secure connection to human reality.

Spiritual Addiction, like any other Consciousness Lifestyle being explored in this series of articles, isn’t for eternity. It doesn’t mean the same thing as “Going to hell.” Every Consciousness Lifestyle is, in the long run, just an experiment here at Earth School.

Rand Paul might enjoy his current Spiritual Addiction very much, even though I doubt he knows that he has this. Presumably people always enjoy their Consciousness Lifestyle, whatever it is. Otherwise they can change it!

Aura Reading Databank at the Third Eye Chakra for Connection to Spiritual Source

Out to the moon. Rand Paul feels righteous about  his spiritual connection. He is doing something sacred in his eyes. He is committed and feels supported. His connection to the Divine makes him feel special, really special, compared to other people.

Rand Paul feels Divinely anointed as a leader. He would give everything for his beliefs.

Conclusion

Sweet surrender! Yet the pattern of Rand Paul’s chakra databanks is definitely that of the Consciousness Lifestyle of Spiritual Addiction.

His chakra databanks about being a World Server (or helping humanity and gaining knowledge) are way over-functioning.

While his chakra databanks about being human are mostly under-functioning. Or else the functioning of these human-related chakra databanks has been distorted through energetic sub-routines.

This leads them to function as if they were about saving the world, etc., rather than being one human individual who is living in the world.

With Stage One Energetic Literacy, many a fan of Rand Paul’s will adore his glow. That’s one of the big problems with not developing skills at aura reading. There’s a lack of discernment about what is really going on, in detail, with a person’s aura.

It is very easy for the big glow of Spiritual Addiction to be attractive. Be a smart New Age Consumer and beware the seductive appeal of Spiritual Addiction.

This quote sums up the experience.

    Fascinating post, Rose.

This is helpful clarification for me of the dynamics of Spiritual Addiction. Prior to reading this article, I’d only associated it with New Age-y types. What you’ve described here makes perfect sense to me.

It also further clarifies what, till recently, had been confusing for me about certain interactions with people I now know are in Spiritual Addiction.

It’s that lukewarm-heartedness. And also, the save-the-world aspect.

Rose recently confirmed that an old friend of mine is in Spiritual Addiction and involved with a Ponzi Scheme.

As I have shifted and grown, I’ve become increasingly frustrated with this person’s lack of emotional connection. Now I get it. She just doesn’t go there! She either medicates herself or goes off to her tarot reader.

My latest aha! has been noting that the only time I hear from her is when she has a list of “oh, how things are wonderful for me!” to share.

It’s actually been a relief to have all this sorted out.

Now I get the “save-the-world” dynamic, too.

Interesting to experience someone attempting to make me a “save-the-world” project. When I politely declined, I was dropped like a hot potato.

Very interesting reading, Rose. I also had associated spiritual addiction only with New-Agers.
