Energetic literacy research as film criticism — here it starts for Academy Awards in 2015.

Did you know? World-class actors are able to do something few humans can.

Sometimes an Oscar nominee will change so deep down, when creating a role, that the transformation shows subconsciously and energetically. One chakra databank after another is altered.

Usually chakra databanks tell the truth. So it’s really fascinating to find which actor succeeds that deeply.

Even the best actors don’t always do this. I have an annual custom of comparing auras of top-nominated actors with their auras in roles. It’s a way to investigate the depth of acting.

Okay, it’s also just plain fascinating.

This blog post will tell you more about my method of using energetic literacy for aura reading film criticism. To learn more about the sequence of research I’ll use this year on some of the most interesting Academy Award nominees, see this Aura Reading Film Critique blog post.

Blog-Buddies, read along with me, using the photos supplied here — the same ones I used as a basis for aura reading research. Or, if you simply saw the movie — which was way more jarring than I had expected from reviews read in advance — comment away, please.

The Film: “Birdman Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)”

The Movie Trailer

Plot Summary from the Oscar’s Official Website:

Best known to the public as Birdman, the superhero he once played in a series of films, Riggan Thomson hopes to reestablish himself as a serious actor by mounting his own dramatic production on Broadway. With his self-doubt hindering the project, Thomson also finds himself threatened by the presence of a high-profile, egotistical movie star in his cast..

In one interview, Michael Keaton described how exhausting it was playing Birdman: “One emotion to another in 12 seconds.” (For starters.)

Here are the photos we’ll use for today’s

Aura Reading Databank at the Root Chakra for Connecting to Physical Reality

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Michael

40 feet. Skeptical, verging on nihilistic. At the time of this photograph, Michael Keaton is a powerful guy but not a happy man. “Life sucks” could be his motto, even as he is a minute observer of life’s physicality.

This noticing comes with a habitual revulsion, then a bit of insouciant humor slapped on to make his world view somewhat more palatable to others.

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Birdman

To the moon. Yep, there’s the mental health problem.

In this expanded state, Michael Keaton’s character isn’t like somebody with a spiritual addiction related to lifestyle, nor like someone suffering an extreme spiritual addiction with that virus-like sort of problem that happens to many people. Nor is this consciousness like somebody stoned on marijuana or heroin or cocaine.

Also it’s not like someone with such a degree of autism that he would be considered “low functioning.”

And it’s not like someone who is developmentally delayed in an extreme manner because of identifying more with big space than one small human body.

Every one of those ways of living shows up differently with Stage Three Energetic Literacy. I ought to know, doing over 1,000 session hours a year where — more likely than not — I will do some aura reading or a Skilled Empath Merge.

This version of way-expanded “Connection to Physical Reality” is related to a mental health problem. If Birdman came to me with this kind of jazz going on, I would tell him something nice and true about his aura. And then I would say something like this, “There is an imbalance in your system right now. You know that I’m not a mental health professional, and so I don’t have the skills to help you today.  I recommend you go to a psychiatrist and describe how you’re doing. I suspect there is some medication that can help you. Later, when you have stabilized, I may be able to help you. We can make a new appointment if you like. ”

Chakra Databank CHANGE Points: 1

Earned the hard way, I’d say!

Aura Reading Databank at the Belly Chakra for Sex Appeal

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Michael

Fills the room plus five inches. Michael has adjusted to having this off-the-charts sex appeal.

Especially at this chakra databank, it is clear that he comes in on the ray of Shiva. The man is a destroyer of illusion. He changes people through qualities like contempt, irony, coldness alternating in surprising ways with caring.

Not that Michael Keaton settles for the easy cliche of being a sexy Bad Boy. This Belly Chakra Databank for Sex Appeal broadcasts a nice guy who happens to carry the energetic equivalent of a semi-automatic weapon that happens to shoot sometimes.

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Birdman

1/8 inch. At this time the sex appeal is shut down so completely, the man would be impotent. If he tried getting frisky.

He is unlikely to try.

Chakra Databank CHANGE Points: 1

Birdman couldn’t be more different from the rather frisky actor.

Aura Reading Databank at the Solar Plexus Chakra for Sharing Power in Relationships

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Michael

18 feet. What initial impact does Michael Keaton make in relationships, when power is an issue? According to my experience reading his aura, Michael Keaton aims to settle things politiely as a nice guy. Yet the agenda is to settle things his way. With all respect, Michael Keaton doesn’t share power well. And if he doesn’t get his way, one is treated to the sort of long-time movie star, prima donna guy expectation that this important person Michael Keaton will definitely get his way.

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Birdman

Out to the moon. Power isn’t even possible in human ways. Birdman is so identified with astral life that he uses energetic power, like telekinesis, to solve problems or express himself.

Interestingly, the movie shows this a lot. Even in the trailer. But the intensity of this as an experience with consciousness didn’t come home to me until I researched this chakra databank.

We’re so used to seeing special effects and dismissing them, aren’t we? And this movie is loaded with special effects about telekinesis. (Incidentally I don’t recommend telekinesis or psychokinesis as a regular practice.)

What’s so extraordinary about Michael Keaton’s performance is that he moves himself to a state of consciousness from which telekinesis would be done… and not by a psychic who is psychologically stable but by a man with a mental health problem.

Chakra Databank Change Points: 1

A recklessly, totally go-for-it, immersion performance by Michael Keaton!

Aura Reading Databank at the Heart Chakra for Emotional Self-Awareness

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Michael

18 feet. A strong sense of entitlement backs up awareness of emotions for Michael Keaton at the time of this photo. If he feels a certain way, that’s the right way to feel.

Seldom do I encounter this kind of self-assurance at this chakra databank. It’s more common for folks to feel vulnerable. Not this guy, not at the subconscious level where chakra databanks broadcast their energetic truth.

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Birdman

Out to the moon. Upset, but the human-level emotional discomfort is minimized because it’s such a small fraction compared to the large astral component to Birdman’s sense of identity. It’s like a casserole made of frosting and then topped with a bit of sour meat.

Chakra Databank Change Points: 1

Another totally consistent change, all the way down to the subconscious level, masterfully done by Michael Keaton.

Aura Reading Databank at the Throat Chakra for Verbal Integrity

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Michael

18 feet. You bet Michael Keaton speaks his truth. Occasionally he may soften it with a disingenous statement meant to convey humility. However, it’s accompanied with a sort of energetic wink.

So he wins.

When people hear his straight talking, and he’s smashing illusions rather directly — Michael Keaton wins.

When he softens the straight talk and people don’t get that he’s smashing illusions — again Michael Keaton wins, because he’s long-term disgruntled and disgusted to such an extent that it’s easy for him to place “fools” into the illusion category along with so much else in life.

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Birdman

4 inches. Stuck. Verbally constipated, as though he has left unsaid so many things that he doees not even know where to start expressing his point of view now.

This is a very human kind of suffering. Out of touch with reality as the character is otherwise, in this scene he feels such pressure to defend himself humanly. And he simply can’t.

Chakra Databank Change Points: 1

A poignant, true construction of character within the plot of the movie. The energetic changes that Michael Keaton has chosen are tremendously sophisticated and masterfully done.

Aura Reading Databank at the High Chakra for Soul Thrill (Expressing his soul in very human ways)

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Michael

90 miles. Filled with Divine blessing, too.

Being a stereotypical “Nice guy” isn’t the only role a soul can have in a human lifetime. Seems to me, Michael Keaton is a sweet and courageous guy, way complicated, who happens to play the role of Destroyer of Ignorance. He gives this the performance of a lifetime.

Reading Michael Keaton’s aura as Birdman

2 inches. Pretty freaky, pretty ugly, very distorted. Think El Greco mixed with Goya.

Birdman’s relationship to his own human soul is horribly awry, a kind of progressive crippling caused by mental illness.

Chakra Databank Change Points: 1

Revolting though this change to the soul thrill chakra databank is, Michael Keaton has made an amazingly brave and intelligent artistic choice.

Conclusion, with total Chakra Databank Change Points

At 6 out of 6 Chakra Databank CHANGE Points, Michael Keaton has done an edgy performance with totally commitment and daring.

Do I recommend this movie? Not really. And I had no idea from all the lavish praise (well deserved) that the film was a psychological horror movie — despite all the humor and cleverness and dazzle of the performances, the unusual directing, etc.

When I write “Avoid it,” that’s because my idea of entertainment does not include immersion into people’s decent into psychosis, however well done. Just my taste, of course.

Fascinating reading, Rose. Having once dated someone who came in on that ray of shiva (as you told me in an aura reading) I can really appreciate how “Being a stereotypical “Nice guy” isn’t the only role a soul can have in a human lifetime.” People who say the things that nobody else will say, and cut through other people’s bs. I am so not made that way, but I appreciate it.

I saw the movie expecting something else, I assume. I didn’t read any reviews, just saw the trailer. I did not care for it at all. It was just not my type of movie. Depressing and I kind of tuned out of it. I waited until the end because I was giving someone else a ride.

One of the wonderful things about aura reading is how it help you to really appreciate, respect, and admire people you might not like very much or ever want to hang out with. Hahaha.

I was intrigued by the trailers, but suspected I didn’t want to see the movie; your summary tells me everything I wanted to know.

Had to laugh at “Turn your cell phones off now,” considering that I’m reading and commenting on this on my cell phone.

    Thanks for the website, Rose.

I’m interested to know if you’ve ever studied the changes an individual has over a day or week? Do auras vary like blood pressure does? Sometimes blood pressure is high and sometimes lower according to moods, stress, diet and exercise. Are auras the same?

It seems they can be manipulated – as the actors are doing. So is aura reading really like sharing a hot tub with others? It seems that some people could be wearing padded shoulders and bras, girdles, and codpieces to modify their looks 🙂

Responding to your Comment 6, RACHEL, it’s hard to tell whether you were joking.

Every gift of the soul in someone’s aura is sacred, permanent and individual.

However, this is as personal as a fingerprint.

  9. 9

By contrast, when we make choices in life, or say things, or do things, this impacts every one of our subconscious chakra databanks.

It was in the context of this that I said what I did about Michael Keaton.

If you reread that part of the post, I’ll bet you catch that context this time.

    MARK, welcome to the blog.

In response to this question, “I’m interested to know if you’ve ever studied the changes an individual has over a day or week?”

    The answer is no.

I am neither paid to do abstract research, like a scientist with a research grant, nor am I a hobbyist with infinite time to experiment.

What you see on this blog is what I have time to prepare for you.

  11. 11

Your other conjectures show a real interest in aura reading. I recommend you read “Aura Reading Through All Your Senses.”

This will give you information about well researched techniques for aura reading, and their contexts.

Feel free to comment in the future, knowing that comments of pure speculation will not be made live at the blog.

You’re just getting acquainted here, of course. Please know that there are loads of paranormal and other blogs where this sort of speculation would be welcome.

MARK, you’re very welcome to hang out here and learn, and even comment, just not to get into the various conjectures. The blog is monitored in a way that helps to distinguish Rosetree Energy Spirituality from other blogs that fulfill different curiosities.

    Mark says:

Thanks, Rose. I’m just interested in learning more about the subject, that’s all.

  14. 14

Ah, MARK, good to know. So you’re just growing acclimated to this blog. Thank you for being a good sport about the points of clarification.

Your warm welcome has grown warmer.

There was no way you would know about the conjecture thing unless you were told. And I am sure your enthusiasm and interest will be rewarded here.

    Lilian says:

Well Mark, Rose does put up with me, so that shows a high degree of tolerance. 🙂

I guess we can only learn about auras by learning to read them. To do that properly takes a bit of time, energy and practise. Personally, my mind isn’t set onto that just now. It’s kind of easier to just ask Rose, but she is indeed a busy lady! Though she would be an amazing private detective. A starting point is to get familiar with yourself and then figuring out what you’re sensitive to.

back to my intended comment before getting distracted.

“Being a stereotypical “Nice guy” isn’t the only role a soul can have in a human lifetime. Seems to me, Michael Keaton is a sweet and courageous guy, way complicated, who happens to play the role of Destroyer of Ignorance. He gives this the performance of a lifetime.”

This does tie in to a previous blogpost. The reason I’ve never had that many “spiritual” friends is that I don’t really fit the “spiritual” stereotype. That means that I don’t really know anyone approaching spiritual addiction. I’m a bit too forthright for most of that… It is good to remember that there are many ways to serve that don’t necessarily always make people feel warm and fuzzy. 🙂 The main thing is to develop a sense of integrity and conscience about what you do and say.

Curiouser and Curioser (As Ever) says:

Thank you, Rose, for another wow post. I learn so much from these. The thing is, I get a lot of the same information you do but do not yet have the skills to consistently put it in precise words. So when I read your analysis, I’m saying to myself, yes, exactly, right, yes, I got that! That’s what that was!

Interestingly, to me at least, is that after a lifetime of avid movie going, I have lost interest in 99 pct of what’s showing in the theaters. I don’t need the energetic assault, such very low vibe stuff. Also interestingly, to me, is that my reluctance to go to the movie started right about the time of the shift.

    David FB says:

Thanks, Rose. I have the same impression. It was very well done but deranged isn’t all that entertaining. I was also surprised how distinct he was in the film from other things I’d seen. He really did live his role. That particular screen-grab was a great example.
